Sam Fischer x Demi Lovato “What Other People Say”

Following the huge success of his global smash hit This City and recent project HomeworkSam Fischer has teamed up with Demi Lovato to release his new single What Other People Say  out now via RCA Records. Listen HERE.

Written by Sam before his single This City became a hit, it was a song he always knew would be a duet. Sam was blown away when Demi Lovato became the perfect person to accompany him on vocals. What Other People Say was written about feeling alone and not wanting to let people down. The pairing takes two different lives and perspectives and unites them into one message of human experience, emotion and togetherness, so they are alone with one another in the song. It is a truly special track with a powerful, moving and relatable chorus. It is the next official single release for Sam since This City.

Sam says; “What Other People Say is a confession, realizing how far away you can get from who you are in an effort to be liked. It’s about the pressures of society and how getting caught up with the wrong things can change you.”

Demi says; “This song is a reflection on what it’s like to lose who you truly are in an effort to please other people and society.  It’s why I wanted to make this song with Sam – ultimately it’s about two humans coming together to connect and find solutions to their problems.”

Alongside the announcement of the single, Sam Fischer has also shared that he has been chosen as YouTube’s first ‘Artist on the Rise’ for 2021, following previous winners Mabel, Aitch, Freya Ridings, Mahalia, Beabadoobee and Celeste.

About Sam Fischer:

Always wearing his heart on his sleeve and with sincerity in both his lyrics and conversations, Sam Fischer released his project Homework last year. This project is a cathartic body of work, acknowledging the moments in life that Sam has struggled to deal with, and how these situations have changed him for the better.

Beginning as a TikTok sensation and quickly cementing itself in hearts and heads around the world, the emotive and heartfelt This City now stands at over 350 million worldwide streams, over 2 million worldwide sales and over 50 million video views. It has been certified Platinum in the UK with a Top 20 chart position, which steadily climbed over 19 weeks, and was also nominated for ‘Song of the Year’ at the 2020 Aria Awards. It was also a top 5 UK Airplay record, receiving radio support from Radio 1, Radio 2 (B List), Capital, Virgin and Bauer; alongside TV performances on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Australian born Sam Fischer first introduced himself with his Not A Hobby EP and has garnered incredible attention through his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Touring North America with his friend Lewis Capaldi, he wowed crowds with his buoyant personality and pure love and talent for song-writing. Now based in LA, he not only has received acclaim for his own work, but he continues to solidify his spot as one of the hottest current writers, having worked with global pop superstars including Ciara, Lennon Stella, Louis Tomlinson, Elle King, Jessie J, Virginia To Vegas, and many more.

About Demi Lovato:

Other past releases include albums Confident in 2015 and 2013’s DEMI, which hit #1 on iTunes in over 50 countries around the world, as well as singles Cool for the SummerHeart AttackNeon Lights and Really Don’t Care.

Lovato kicked off 2021 with a performance in the Presidential Inauguration Committee’s “Celebrating America” special following President Biden’s inauguration. This follows notable 2020 performances with the debut of her powerhouse ballad Anyone during a stripped-down performance at the GRAMMY Awards. She also performed the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV. Lovato’s return to the stage was followed by the release of her empowering new single and video I Love Me, as well as collaborations with fellow global superstar Sam Smith on I’m Ready and dance music star Marshmello on the timely OK Not To Be OK. The Man Who – Something To Believe

Following the release of their debut EP last year, Bet On You, Toronto-based, alt-indie trio The Man Who returns with a brand-new track, Something To Believe, today via Virgin Records. The anthemic track arrives alongside a powerful remixed version today produced by Calvary. The Calvary remix will be used in an MLB Network piece, New Faces in New Places, that will detail every big name who changed teams this year. The piece will air on Thursday, July 23, and Friday, July 24 on MLB Network as part of Major League Baseball’s return. The remix will also be used in other MLB Network Opening Week coverage placements.

Comprising David Walsh (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chad Walsh (bass/electric guitar, keyboards, background vocals) and Frank Goerz (drums), The Man Who takes its name from a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote, “The world makes way for the man who knows where he’s going.”BANNE

The Man Who traces its roots back to 2015, when a tour took Toronto-based Chad Walsh to Newfoundland, where he re-connected with his cousin, David Walsh, who was also a musician. The two began a long-distance collaboration, experimenting with vintage synthesizers and throwback hip-hop drum loops. David eventually moved to Toronto, where the two cousins recruited drummer Frank Goerz.

The Man Who spent the most part of last year touring across North America including a support slot with BANNERS. Across all of their songs, The Man Who has already racked up more than 20 million global streams and garnered praise from Clash, Hillydilly, Elicit Magazine, Music Connection, plus many more.

Isaac Gracie’s Debut Album

Isaac Gracie’s highly anticipated, self-titled debut album is out now via Virgin EMI/Republic Records.

The album was largely produced by Markus Dravs at RAK Studios in London and features eleven tracks, including Gracie’s recent tracks, “Last Words,” “Terrified” and “The Death of You & I.” See the full tracklisting below.

Of his debut album, Gracie says, “Over the course of the two years it took to complete this record, I learnt more about myself and about music than I had in the entirety of my prior life. It was the biggest test I’ve ever undertaken and a winding journey that I won’t forget. To now have the record as a physical representation of a heavy and formative time in my life, that can be traced and re-remembered through listening to it, is an awesome and unique reward for the time and effort and love that was spent.”

In celebration of the album, Gracie is set to embark on a UK tour throughout April, followed by a European tour throughout May. See the full list of show dates below. Tickets are available now here.

23-year-old London-raised singer-songwriter Isaac Gracie has been finding his feet, working out who he is and discovering what he wants since the industry spotlight fell on him. The fuss was caused by a dusty-sounding, careworn home recording of “Last Words” that was uploaded online without expectation and any anticipation of what was to follow. The voice behind it was completely new to the premise of where writing a great song might lead him. Even now he’d tell you that he’s still slowly working it all out, but this debut collection sounds as fully-realized and confident as any of recent memory. Isaac Gracie is a new British voice, poetic in his placement of words and accomplished in their delivery.

Remember ft. Jacob Banks

Today sees Seinabo Sey release the video for Remember ft. Jacob Banks LINK HERE.

The video was directed by Sheila Johansson and NewLand and premiered on Dazed. Speaking to Dazed about the song, Seinabo explains, It’s about wanting to be remembered for all of the good things, and hoping that you can walk out of a relationship whether it be with myself in time, or with a person feeling a sense of freedom. After writing the song herself, Seinabo teamed up with friend and fellow artist Jacob Banks, who transformed the track into a love song.

Seinabo recently announced her new single, I Owe You Nothing and accompanying b-side Remember ft. Jacob Banks. Both are now available to buy and stream on all platforms via Virgin Records. This announcement marked Seinabo’s first new music in over two years since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Pretend in 2015.

Listen to/Share I Owe You Nothing and Remember HERE

The new music sees Seinabo crafting songs revolving around the issues about which she has been vocal on social media and in her enchanting live performances: womanhood and feminism, identity, body positivity and an adherence to loving yourself.

Pushing her art to the next level, Seinabo has taken much of the creative direction for the new record into her own hands, spending the past few months in Gambia (her father’s home country) to film music videos and shoot a plethora of breathtaking new images which encompass her new direction. In the I Owe You Nothing video, Seinabo blends the rich, bright colours of local fabrics with confidence that is evident throughout, she explains I figured it’s time I stand up for myself and this is my best way of doing that.

Seinabo rose to critical acclaim in 2015 following the release of two EPs and her debut album Pretend, which TIME magazine called One of the Year’s Best Debut Albums and SPIN named one of the Best Albums of 2015. Certified Gold in Sweden, Pretend earned her a 2015 Swedish Grammy Award for Best Newcomer and Best Pop award the following year.

The boundary-blurring artist has topped the Hype Machine chart five times and racked up more than 400 million  global Spotify streams to date, including at least 250 million for the album’s lead single, Younger. Kygo’s remix of Younger climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart. Seinabo spent three years touring the globe in support of the album, stunning audiences with her expressive, soulful voice. She has played festivals such as Way Out West, Glastonbury and Roskilde. Her television performances include Late Night with Conan O’Brien and Later with Jools Holland.

Seinabo will be releasing more music this year and will perform at Stockholm’s 12,000-capacity Globe Arena on Friday, October 5.
