He’s the rare talent who not only transcends genres, but crosses borders as well.”

Kgosi Mahumapelo, CEO of Ambitiouz Entertainment (South Africa’s leading independent record label who reached an agreement with UMGSA and Republic Records to enable Lloyiso to move teams), stated on Lloyiso’s new signing, “We believe the world is ready to be touched by Lloyiso. Following “three weeks at university, he left school and focused on music inspired by the likes of Sam Smith and Kanye West. He performed anywhere possible, singing in exchange for dinner at local pubs. He even recorded in English and ten different African languages. Taking over social media, Lloyiso amplified his voice globally by posting covers on Facebook before embracing YouTube. He gained the endorsement of everyone from Kygo to Tyga and gradually amassed an enthusiastic audience. Nailing viral renditions of Rihanna, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, and more, he launched his TikTok during 2020, generating tens of millions of views and attracting the attention of labels worldwide. Finding his home, he notably made history as the first South African artist signed to Republic Records. Now, he conveys feeling in its purest form through a series of 2021 singles ignited by his debut “Seasons.”

Sam Fischer Announces US & UK Tour

Sam Fischer announces his international Fall 2021 tour, A Simple Tour.

Sam Fischer – the man behind last year’s platinum hit This City, duets with Demi Lovato on What Other People Say, and Sam Feldt’s Pick Me Up, has announced a string of US and UK tour dates this Autumn.

Sam says, “It’s been a unique journey this past 18 months, having my songs travel further around the world than I’ve been able to and not getting to meet the people who have given me this life I now lead has been a bit heartbreaking, so to be announcing a tour feels surreal, but here we are. The support I’ve had in both the UK & US  has been incredible and I can’t wait to be on stages, doing what I love the most & finally meeting everyone, for the first time.”

Sam’s debut single This City is currently sitting on over 500 million worldwide streams and was Top 20 in the UK for 11 weeks. The track has gone double platinum in Australia, platinum in the UK and Gold in the US, New Zealand, and Switzerland. He’s also had some incredible US TV performances on Ellen, Jimmy Kimmel, and The Late Late Show With James Corden.

Australian-born Sam Fischer  first introduced himself with his Not A Hobby EP and has garnered incredible attention through his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics. Touring North America with his friend Lewis Capaldi, he wowed crowds with his buoyant personality and pure love and talent for songwriting. Now based in LA, he not only has received acclaim for his own work, but he continues to solidify his spot as one of the hottest current writers, having worked with global pop superstars including Ciara, Lennon Stella,  Louis Tomlinson, Elle King, Jessie J, Virginia To Vegas and many more.

However, it hasn’t all been plain sailing for Sam, who endured his own heartache to achieve his dreams. With the promise of a recording contract in the bag, he set off to LA only for the deal to be pulled away. After months of couch-surfing, he finally and deservedly received his break with This City  and  album Homework which has been just the amazing start of an exciting new chapter in Sam’s career.

His relatable lyrics and unique, resonant sound are a staple of his work from his debut song, Lean, to his newest release, Simple. Sam’s impressive skill will be on full display this fall in A Simple Tour.

Camino QxA

Camino, an Atlanta-based singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, is an inspirational, soulful pop and R&B powerhouse with his debut EP, Burning Fire, to be released on April 23. Burning Fire regales the tale of Camino’s past– both painful and joyous–as he struggled with homelessness after his move from Mississippi to Atlanta, followed his tenacious passion for music, and eventually landed an impressive record deal with Def Jam Recordings. Camino’s music is authentic, invigorating, and raw. Here at 360 Magazine, we sat down with Camino to discuss how he found inspiration to pursue music in his darkest moments, dream music collaborations, and the upcoming release of his full-length album.

1. What response are you anticipating when your EP, Burning Fire, drops?

Honestly, I don’t know. I obviously hope the response is amazing, but I honestly don’t know. I just hope people like it and find a way to connect to it.

2. How would you describe the sound of Burning Fire in three words?

Cinematic, anthemic and vulnerable

3. Who was your biggest musical inspiration in writing Burning Fire?

My aunt and uncle inspired the song, and it is about them and their story. But musically, Imagine Dragons and Adele, most definitely.

4. What kept you going to pursue music when it may have felt like the odds were stacked against you?

God and faith. I know I’m meant to do music. It’s the only thing I’m good at and it’s the only thing that makes me truly happy–like truly to my core happy.

5. Who would be your dream artist to collaborate with?

Billie Eilish, Adele, Sam Smith and Lewis Capaldi are all incredible. I’d love to collaborate with any of them.

6. Did your move from Mississippi to Atlanta influence the music you were listening to and drawing inspiration from?

Yes, absolutely. Coming from a small city like Jackson, Mississippi compared to Atlanta, Georgia was such a huge leap for me. It gave me more confidence to write the songs I wrote and instilled the passion in me to create the songs I did.

7. How are you feeling about already being signed such a notable label as Def Jam Recordings? Incredible. God is the greatest. Def Jam is home. They are incredible and provide every resource I need. Shoutout to my team I LOVE Y’ALL!

8. Looking ahead, do you have more plans for releasing any other music in 2021?

Yes, full-length album coming. That is my true masterpiece. Just stay tuned–I’m so excited to share with the world.

“Ava Della Pietra Follows Breakthrough Year With “Home,” her “Inspiring, Empowering…pop ray of hope” Parade Magazine

“With pure pop sensibility, catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics…this young Broadway veteran aims at inspiring young listeners to feel proactive and empowered. Her spot-on vocals and sweet delivery will have you singing along and cheering for the power of open-minded activism.”  –Parade

Proceeds will be donated to charities dedicated to reuniting and rehoming children at the southern border.

Listen to “Home” by Ava Della Pietra here.

15-year-old singer/songwriter Ava Della Pietra has just released her most poignant single to-date with “Home,” inspired by the devastating stories of families torn apart on the southern border. Parade Magazine called the song “inspiring,” “empowering,” and a “pop ray of hope,” with “pure pop sensibility, catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics…inspiring young listeners to feel proactive and empowered.” With lyrics that touch on fear, loneliness, and hope, “Home” is universal anthem for any young person struggling with life’s challenges, as relevant to those on the southern border as to the everyday teen. Parade adds, “Her spot-on vocals and sweet delivery will have you singing along and cheering for the power of open-minded activism.” Proceeds from the single and merchandise will be donated to charities dedicated to reuniting and rehoming children at the southern border.

Over the past few years, Ava has emerged as one of the most promising young artists on the pop scene today. Having established herself on the Broadway stage in the original cast of School of Rock, Ava’s debut single “Christmas Tonight” was named one of the “Best Holiday Songs” of the year by Tiger Beat Magazine, alongside artists like the Jonas Brothers and Liam Payne, and her follow-up single “Optimist” reached #50 on the Top 40 Radio chart, earning praise from American Songwriter, Just Jared Jr., and Newsday, who called Ava a “rising star.”

Produced by Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Jamie Lawson), “Home” is one of fifty songs that Ava has written, and the first of ten already produced, to be released in the coming months. Ava collaborated with some of the world’s top producers on her upcoming album, including Hicks, Justin Gray (Avril Lavigne, Mariah Carey), and Adrian Gurvitz (Andra Day, Jesse McCartney, Cheetah Girls). Alongside “Home” and “Optimist,” the album will also feature songs like “Forgotten,” dedicated to the people of Puerto Rico suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, as well as Ava’s upcoming single “Isolation,” slated for release this spring.

“Over the past few years, I have been shocked to learn about the terrible conditions that children have had to endure at the border–being separated from their families and left alone,” Ava said. “I also know that there are kids around the world struggling in other ways, including emotional challenges, pressures at school, problems at home, and so much more. I hope this song can encourage people to lend a helping hand and be there for one another.”

A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, bass, guitar, violin, and ukulele, Ava began performing at age four and writing songs at age five. She performed on the national tours of “Les Misérables” and “White Christmas” before joining the original cast of “Broadway’s School of Rock”, and has been featured on “Good Morning America”, “Sesame Street”, the Tony Awards, “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”, and more. Ava has performed at the Sundance Film Festival, the Great South Bay Music Festival, the New York Tennis Open, and at Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 Knicks fans, as well as at My Father’s Place in Roslyn, New York, and in front of a sold-out crowd at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall. Most recently Ava launched “Talking Tunes with Ava Della Pietra,” a new music column with Teen Kid News, where she is reviewing popular hits. Ava was also featured on the soundtrack for “Secondhand Lions: A New Musical.”

A supporter of both local and national charitable organizations, Ava is dedicated to advocating for young people, inspiring others to believe in themselves and follow their dreams. For more information on Ava Della Pietra, please visit her website.

Here at 360 Magazine, we sat down with Ava to discuss the release of “Home,” her rise to fame, and how she finds inspiration for her soulful songwriting.

  1. Are there any specific charities you’d like to shout out of which to proceeds of “Home” are going toward? Yes, I am giving proceeds from “Home” to non-profit agencies helping unaccompanied minors to reunite with their families and find homes.

    2. You’ve written over 50 songs! That’s very impressive. Where do you find inspiration for writing all of these tracks?

Most of my inspiration comes from real life. I really enjoy expressing my emotions through my songwriting because I think it helps me discover more about myself. Sometimes, I will just be walking around my house and a thought will pop into my head. Unconsciously, I come up with a melody to that phrase, and occasionally I’ll create a song. Other times, I’ll simply sit down and think, “I want to write a song today!”

    3. Of the songs you’ve written that haven’t yet been produced, what other themes do you discuss within your music that you think are most important to bring awareness to?

A few themes I explore in my songs are love, empowerment, mental health, confidence, and friendship. For example, I’ve recently written a few songs about overcoming insecurities. Something I like about my music is that even though a couple of my songs may focus on sad topics, almost all of them have a positive or hopeful spin to them by the end.

    4. Even though other young people’s situations may not be as severe as those at the southern border, how do you see “Home” as a relatable anthem for all listeners?

“Home” is about lending a helping hand to those in need. This idea can apply to a wide range of situations, from daily encouragement to serious national issues, such as the southern border.

    5. What is the most standout performance of your career, in your opinion?

In terms of acting and performing arts, “School of Rock” on Broadway was definitely a dream come true. In regard to my singer-songwriter career, Sundance Film Festival was one of my favorite experiences. I also really enjoyed singing the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for a Knicks game, singing at My Father’s Place, and traveling out to Las Vegas to perform.

    6. You recently launched “Talking Tunes with Ava Della Pietra.” What artists do you particularly enjoy and inspire your own performance?

Some of my favorite artists are Lauv, Conan Gray, Halsey, Lewis Capaldi, and Camila Cabello. I also like Ed Sheeran and his performance style. He uses a loop pedal which allows him to add the different layers of a song live. I’ve recently started to use a looper, and I find it really fun to incorporate all 5 of my instruments into my performance.

    7. Do you have a “dream musical” you’d love to be involved with in the future?

I’m a huge fan of “Dear Evan Hansen”, so being a part of that musical would be absolutely incredible!

    8. You began performing at such a young age. When did you, or your parents, first recognize your natural ability to perform?

I’ve been singing more or less my whole life! I was in my first community theater production when I was four, and people began to approach my parents and encourage them to find me an agent. When I was six, I booked my first role in the National Tour of “Les Misérables.” Everything kind of skyrocketed from there.

    9. What are you most excited about regarding the upcoming release of your debut album?

I’m just so excited for people to listen to my music. Over the past year, my style has changed a lot, and I can’t wait for people to hear what I’ve been working on!

Sam Fischer x Demi Lovato “What Other People Say”

Following the huge success of his global smash hit This City and recent project HomeworkSam Fischer has teamed up with Demi Lovato to release his new single What Other People Say  out now via RCA Records. Listen HERE.

Written by Sam before his single This City became a hit, it was a song he always knew would be a duet. Sam was blown away when Demi Lovato became the perfect person to accompany him on vocals. What Other People Say was written about feeling alone and not wanting to let people down. The pairing takes two different lives and perspectives and unites them into one message of human experience, emotion and togetherness, so they are alone with one another in the song. It is a truly special track with a powerful, moving and relatable chorus. It is the next official single release for Sam since This City.

Sam says; “What Other People Say is a confession, realizing how far away you can get from who you are in an effort to be liked. It’s about the pressures of society and how getting caught up with the wrong things can change you.”

Demi says; “This song is a reflection on what it’s like to lose who you truly are in an effort to please other people and society.  It’s why I wanted to make this song with Sam – ultimately it’s about two humans coming together to connect and find solutions to their problems.”

Alongside the announcement of the single, Sam Fischer has also shared that he has been chosen as YouTube’s first ‘Artist on the Rise’ for 2021, following previous winners Mabel, Aitch, Freya Ridings, Mahalia, Beabadoobee and Celeste.

About Sam Fischer:

Always wearing his heart on his sleeve and with sincerity in both his lyrics and conversations, Sam Fischer released his project Homework last year. This project is a cathartic body of work, acknowledging the moments in life that Sam has struggled to deal with, and how these situations have changed him for the better.

Beginning as a TikTok sensation and quickly cementing itself in hearts and heads around the world, the emotive and heartfelt This City now stands at over 350 million worldwide streams, over 2 million worldwide sales and over 50 million video views. Lewis Capaldi – Before You Go

Lewis Capaldi‘s hit song “Before You Go” finally hit No. 1 Monday on Mediabase‘s Top 40 and Billboard‘s Pop Songs and All Format Radio Songs charts.

Its 36-week climb to the top of Mediabase’s Top 40 and 37-week climb to the top of Billboard’s Pop Songs chart are the longest of both respective lists. The previous record was a 31-week climb up the Billboard Pop Chart set by “Eastside,” the 2018 hit from Benny Blanco, Halsey and Khalid.

Capaldi also joins Mariah Carey, Beyonce and Bruno Mars as the only artists to reach No. 1 with each of their first two entries, as “Someone You Loved” reached No. 1 in Dec. 2019.

“Before You Go” was first released Nov. 2019 on the extended version of Capaldi’s album “Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent.” Since then it has done nothing but grow and spread, even cracking a billion streams.

Capaldi said “Before You Go” is about his aunt who died of suicide, also calling it the most honest and personal song he has ever written.

“It’s about loss, regrets and the fear that we sometimes never understand what someone is going through despite our best want to be everything that person needs,” Capaldi said.

Capaldi picked up a GRAMMY nomination for his song “Someone You Loved” and performed “Before You Go” at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards where he was nominated for PUSH Best New Artist.

Instead of taking time to sit back and enjoy praise from outlets like Rolling Stone, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times and Entertainment Weekly, the Glasgow-born singer-songwriter is now working on his second album.

Donna Missal – “How Does It Feel”

Today, Donna Missal shared “How Does It Feel,” the soaring slice of luscious shoegaze that opens her new album, Lighter, which will be released on July 10 via Harvest Records. Download/stream “How Does It Feel” HERE and listen on YouTube HERE.

Donna – who has amassed over 33 million global streams in her career to date – wrote the track with Andrew Wells (X Ambassadors, Bebe Rexha, Fitz and the Tantrums), who produced the album, and Anthony Rossomando, whose credits include co-writing the Oscar-winning song “Shallow.”

“I hope this song finds the cracks in your heart and fills them with light,” says Donna Missal. “I hope this song can turn your disconsolateness into aspiration, and wrap its arms around you the way I wish I could right now. I hope this song meets your unrest with a challenge to desire and believe in dreaming for more.”

Lighter is an album about fragility, self-acceptance and self-discovery. It’s a timeless work from an artist who’s not playing by anyone else’s rules. Fans who pre-order the album in digital format will instantly receive “How Does It Feel” plus the singles “Let You Let Me Down” and “Hurt By You.”

“Donna Missal is a powerhouse vocalist” declared Flaunt in this recent feature article. MTV News observed, “‘Let You Let Me Down’ [is] a rock-infused breakup ballad…Her smoky vocals simmer to a satisfying crescendo in the final refrain.” The Honey Pop noted, “[Donna] can pull you through various emotions just with her voice, and ‘Let You Let Me Down’ is a prime example of her talent. It’s got powerful, poetic lyrics… a self-realization anthem.” “Hurt By You” was named as one of the “Best Songs Of The Spring” by Refinery29. NYLON noted, “This song was made for rolling the windows down and speeding on the backroads.” Praising Donna’s 2018 debut album, This Time (Harvest Records), Earmilk said, “A sound like this cannot be missed…we’re in full orbit around this star.”

Donna supported the album with a sold-out, 20-date U.S. headline tour. She has also played numerous festivals – including Austin City Limits and Bonnaroo – and toured with such artists as King Princess, Lewis Capaldi, Bishop Briggs, K.Flay, Joywave, Sir Sly, and Barns Courtney.

Lewis Capaldi – Bruises

After topping the U.K. Official Singles chart for a nearly unprecedented seven weeks, Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” is No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in its 24th consecutive week on the tally and the first No. 1 single from a debut U.K. artist since February 2016.

In addition, “Someone You Loved” is No. 1 on the U.S. Top 40 Radio chart for the second week running, spent 2 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot AC Radio chart, No. 1 on the U.S. Shazam chart for the eighth consecutive week and hit top 5 on the U.S. Spotify chart. Worldwide streams of the track are approaching two billion. Already certified Platinum by the RIAA, “Someone You Loved” has now earned 2.5 million equivalent song units in the U.S. It is certified Platinum or greater in a total of 18 countries. Watch the official video HERE

The 23-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter recently performed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”  He made his U.S. late night television debut on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” in June. The following week, he performed “Someone You Loved” on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and, in a first for the show, Corden invited Capaldi back to perform for a second night in a row. Capaldi recently wrapped a sold-out headline tour of North America and his March 2020 tour of the UK and Ireland sold out in mere seconds, making him the first artist in history to sell out arenas prior to the release of a debut album. Full itinerary can be found here.

Capaldi’s debut album, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent, is the fastest selling UK debut of 2019 with 90,000 albums sold in the first week. To date, it has sold over 1.5 million adjusted albums worldwide and combined global streams now exceed 2.6 billion.

Earlier this month, Capaldi released the four-track Bruises EP, which includes the album version of “Bruises” plus a Live Orchestral Version, a guitar acoustic and the Steve Void Remix. Watch the official video for “Bruises” HERE. After Capaldi self-released “Bruises” two years ago, he became the fastest unsigned artist to reach 25 million plays on Spotify.

Robert Christgau, reviewing for Noisey, awarded Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent an A- and hailed it as “a feat of uncommon emotional intelligence.” The Los Angeles Times says, “Capaldi uses his powerful chest voice to reach the cheap seats. In the weathered grain of his singing, you can hear a performer capable of turning pain into beauty.” Stereogum declares, “Capaldi is establishing himself as a Stateside force…sending shivers down millions of spines whenever he switches into performance mode,” TIME says, “Lewis Capaldi has the kind of deep, textured voice that you could listen to for hours,” and the Associated Press raves, “Capaldi’s album (hits) you in the gut with piercing lyrics anchored by his gravelly voice…packed with emotion and passion.”

Capaldi was hailed as a 2018 Vevo DSCVR Artist To Watch and a 2019 Vevo LIFT Artist, longlisted for the BBC Sound Of 2018 Poll, and won Breakthrough Artist of the Year honors at the Scottish Music Awards. He was nominated for the BRIT Awards Critics’ Choice award and named an MTV UK PUSH Ones To Watch artist. Capaldi has toured with Ed Sheeran, The Killers, Bastille, Rag’n’Bone Man, Niall Horan, and Sam Smith, and performed at such festivals as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Splendour in the Grass, Fuji, and Osheaga.

Lewis Capaldi’s Debut Album

Lewis Capaldi will release his debut album — Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent – on May 17th via Capitol Records.  The 22-year-old Scottish singer-songwriter also announced plans for a U.S. June tour and recently shared the official video for his new single, “Someone You Loved,” which stars Scottish actor Peter Capaldi, who portrayed the Twelfth Doctor in the iconic British television show “Dr. Who” and is a distant cousin of Lewis.

The video, which can be viewed HERE, amassed over one million views in four days and trended on YouTube, hitting #2. “Someone You Loved” and Peter Capaldi also trended on Twitter on the day of release.

In an open, heartfelt letter, Lewis Capaldi explains:

I’m absolutely buzzing to finally be able to announce my debut album. I never thought I’d get to the point where I’d be able to release a proper album and I ABSOLUTELY never thought that when I did, I would give it a name as stupid I have, but here we are.

Everyone always tells you about how amazing recording their first album was and how they’ll always look back on the ‘process’ with fond memories. I will look back on it as an extremely stressful time that somehow also managed to be extremely boring. The actual process of building the songs up I loved, but recording the same guitar parts over and over again to get them right and going back on mixes for weeks, I did not.

I hope people don’t think it’s shit. I mean don’t get me wrong there will be one or two stinkers on there, but I’m only human and we all make mistakes, but as a whole I think it’s pretty fucking good.

I’m excited for it to be released and have people finally be able to hear a full body of work from me for the first time. Should it bomb completely or receive an absolute critical lambasting, don’t worry, it’s just my life’s work up until this point….

His U.S. tour, which kicks off on June 1st at The Sinclair in Boston, will include a June 4th show at New York City’s Irving Plaza. It will wrap up at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on June 12th. Worldwide streams of “Someone You Loved” have topped 60 million while cumulative global streams of all Capaldi’s songs now exceed 400 million. Idolator predicted, “Lewis Capaldi’s ‘Someone You Loved’ Is Going To Be Big…It goes without saying that he’s One To Watch.”  Directed by Phil Beastall – known for the short viral film Love is a Gift – the “Someone You Loved” video heightens awareness of the need for organ donors. Recorded over an 18-month period in London, New York and Los Angeles, Capaldi co-wrote each of the 12 songs, working with Malay who also produced, (Frank Ocean, Lorde) Jamie Hartman (Calvin Harris, Rag N Bone Man) and TMS. Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent is an ironically titled, but charismatically defining album that’s lyrically candid and a realistic snapshot of the ups and downs of growing up. Lewis’ stunningly identifiable voice, coupled with its turbulent themes of love, loss and heartache, make it a debut album that is both poignant and unequivocally relatable.

Capaldi was hailed as a 2018 Vevo DSCVR Artist To Watch, longlisted for the BBC Sound Of 2018 Poll, and won Breakthrough Artist of the Year honors at the Scottish Music Awards. He is among the Top 350 most listened to artists on Spotify. Capaldi has toured with Rag’n’Bone ManNiall Horan, and Sam Smith, and performed at such festivals as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Mountain Jam, Splendour in the Grass, Fuji, and Osheaga. He was recently nominated for the BRIT Awards 2019 Critics’ Choice award and named an MTV UK PUSH Ones To Watch artist.  TIME said, “Lewis Capaldi has the kind of deep, textured voice that you could listen to for hours. He finds expressive rough edges, then smooths them out into the sweetest of notes.”
