NEW BODY OF WORK COMING IN 2023

Crossing boundaries and borders with a showstopping voice, South African singer and songwriter Lloyiso unveils his new single “What I Would Say” today via Universal Music Group South Africa/Republic Records.

Listen to “What I Would Say”: HERE

The track’s cinematic keys and soaring guitar uplift his dynamic delivery to heavenly heights. He leverages his expansive range, projecting with power and passion on the confessional chorus. With unfiltered emotion, his words ring out, “I’ve been praying, if we were in a movie scene, living in a Hollywood screen, I’d say I love you ‘til the morning comes.”

His most recent single “Speak” has amassed over 7.8 million streams. Right out of the gate, OkayAfrica touted it as one of “The 20 Best South African Songs of 2022 So Far, and hailed it as “an emotive, piano-laden ballad that, like most of his songs, highlights his soothing voice. Additionally, last year he made his international debut with the single “Seasons. Right out of the gate, it tallied 21.3 million streams and garnered a ton of buzz. Off of the success of both tracks, Lloyiso has been nominated for the “Songwriter of the year | Most Promising Artiste” award at the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2022.

Last year, he made his international debut with the single Seasons. Right out of the gate, it tallied 21.3 million streams and garnered a ton of buzz.

Right now, Lloyiso is finishing up his debut EP, expected early next year.

Hailing from just outside of Port Elizabeth, South Africa, singer, songwriter, and producer. Lloyiso wields the kind of voice that instantly tugs at heartstrings. It’s the kind of voice that shines in any arena—whether in front of a laptop camera or under the lights of a festival stage. It’s the kind of voice that makes you stop what you’re doing and sing along. At 16-years-old, he appeared on South African Idol and placed fifth in the competition. Following “three weeks at university, he left school and focused on music inspired by the likes of Sam Smith and Travis Scott. He performed anywhere possible, singing in exchange for dinner at local pubs. He even recorded in English and ten different African languages. Taking over social media, Lloyiso amplified his voice globally by posting covers on Facebook before embracing YouTube. He gained the endorsement of everyone from Kygo to Tyga and gradually amassed an enthusiastic audience. Nailing viral renditions of Rihanna, Billie Eilish, Lewis Capaldi, and more, he launched his TikTok during 2020, generating tens of millions of views and attracting the attention of labels worldwide. Finding his home, he notably made history as “the first South African artist signed to Republic Records.” Following the 2021 fan favorite “Seasons,” he connects like never before with the powerful piano-driven ballad “Speak” in 2022 with much more to come.

For the first time, ‘A Christmas Carol’ is told from the perspective of the ghosts in this hilarious musical twist on the classic Dickens tale. From director Sean Anders (“Daddy’s Home,” “Instant Family”), written by Sean Anders and John Morris, with original songs by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (“La La Land” & “The Greatest Showman”) and production numbers choreographed by Chloe Arnold (“The Late Late Show with James Corden”), this modern retelling is a sweet and spicy holiday treat.

BOYWITHUKE & OLIVER TREE DROP AMERICAN PSYCHO-INSPIRED MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “SICK OF U” OUT NOW

Gold-selling singer, songwriter, and producer BoyWithUke unveils the cinematic music video for his latest single “Sick Of U” feat. Oliver Tree, out now via Mercury Records/Republic Records—watch HERE

In the visual for “Sick of U,” BoyWithUke and Oliver Tree reimagine a classic scene from American Psycho with a twist. BoyWithUke does his best Patrick Bateman impersonation as he hacks up his guest—who sings back to him from a trash bag and while the dirt covers his final resting place. It matches the manic push and pull of this rapidly rising anthem from this dynamic duo.

BoyWithUke built anticipation for the track on social media prior to its arrival. He teased the song on TikTok with a series of posts, generating millions of views on videos of a bloody Oliver Tree in BoyWithUke’s signature mask and even getting his instantly recognizable hairstyle straightened. As for the song itself, the alternative pop disruptor breaks boundaries once again, dipping in and out of glitchy production punctuated by tightly threaded organic instrumentation. Meanwhile, he and Oliver Tree trade catchy lines worthy of the ultimate breakup text. Building towards an emotional sendoff, BoyWithUke reminds, “Life goes on and on.

BoyWithUke continues racing towards a major mainstream breakthrough. His following has grown beyond 6 million on TikTok, 2.5 million on YouTube, and 2.2 million on Spotify. His full-length debut album, Serotonin Dreams, only fueled this explosion. Beyond tallying hundreds of millions of streams, The Honey Pop hailed it as “the album of our dreams” and raved, “each song on Serotonin Dreams snakes into our minds in a different way, making some of our deepest emotions feel understood and making some of our favorite playlists feel like they just found a new winner to add.”

Serotonin Dreams features collaborations with various artists, including blackbear (“IDGAF”), mxmtoon (“Prairies”), and Powfu (“Contigo”). Consequence declared BoyWithUke has proven himself to be particularly prolific” and “‘Understand’ shows potential to be the next of BoyWithUke’s hits.” Leading up to the anxiously awaited release of Serotonin DreamsBoyWithUke dropped his viral singles “Long Drives” and IDGAF feat. blackbearBillboard praised “IDGAF” as “a gently heartbroken kiss-off anthem about moving on from a toxic ex,” while Ones To Watch described it as “perfectly petty in all the right ways, BoyWithUke and black bear match earworm, radio-ready production with unapologetic low blows.” Indie Shuffle proclaimed, BoyWithUke has slowly become a household name in the indie music scene; now working with Blackbear, the combo of melancholia and high-energy pop has made for a gallery of pure entertainment and an addictive earworm at that!”

The tracks followed BoyWithUke’s 2021 gold-certified smash hit “Toxic,” which has amassed over 1.2 billion global streams to date and peaked at #1 on the Alternative Radio Chart for two consecutive weeks. Not to mention, his record-breaking live performance of the song for Genius’ Open Mic series is the platform’s “the #1 most-viewed video on Genius with over 86 million views and counting.

Earlier this summer, BoyWithUke sold out his first-ever headline shows in New York and Los Angeles.

You may be sick of your ex, but you’ll never be sick of BoyWithUke and Oliver Tree!

About BoyWithUke
What do we know about BoyWithUke? If you quickly scan TikTok, you can figure out he is a musical artist who writes and produces all of his own music, creating songs in his dorm room on GarageBand while hiding his face from the public with his now signature glowing mask. Take a deeper look, and you’ll see he frequently posts “minute long songs,” many times written in response to requests from fans. His biggest hit to date was written after a fan commented “make a song about toxic friends plzzzx,” and the response was the song “Toxic.” The song describes how it feels when you realize all your friends are terrible people (people you’d probably be better off without), but the thought of being alone makes you feel even worse. The song has taken over as it vaulted into the Top 10 at Alternative Radio and has reached nearly 1.2 billion global streams to date. Not to mention, his performance of “Toxic” has emerged as the platform’s second highest-viewed Genius video to date with nearly 60 million views and counting. Up next, he will be continuing his sold out international headline tour and releasing his debut album Serotonin Dreams that features new single “IDGAF” ft. blackbear. The project will be the follow up to previous full length projects Melatonin Dreams, Fever Dreams, Trouvaille EP, and his latest Faded EP (featuring numerous songs created from his TikTok “minute long songs” project).

I wanted to create a look that felt simultaneously Gilded Age, yet modern Valentino. My main goal with Pierpaolo and Katie Qian was to capture the message of gilded age elegance and glamor. Above all, I wanted a cape.”

Stylist Katie Qian commented, “I think the final look really captures a modern take on the excess and extravagance of the Gilded Age, all while tying in Valentino’s bold elegance and Conan’s regal personal style.”

This is the third time Gray has teamed up with Valentino, as he made his Coachella debut wearing custom Valentino for both weekends. The looks were put on numerous best-dressed lists for the weekend and had Vogue saying “Conan Gray’s Hot Pink Valentino Look Shut Down Coachella.” Find the review HERE.

Up next Conan will be headed to Europe to continue his 2022 Conan Gray World Tour in support of his sophomore album, Superache, out June 24th.

About Conan Gray

Since releasing original demos on his YouTube channel at the age of 15, Conan Gray has emerged as one of the pre-eminent pop superstars of his generation. Even after the commercial success of global multi-platinum hits “Heather” and “Maniac“, his music continues to maintain its unflinching authenticity and originality. Gray’s debut album, Kid Krow, crafted by Gray and longtime collaborator and producer Dan Nigro, reached #5 on the Billboard 200, #1 on the Billboard Pop Albums chart and became the biggest new artist debut of the year. With over 7 billion streams, Gray has attracted unanimous applause from a who’s who of tastemakers including Vogue, GQ, V Man, Paper, Fader, Billboard, NPR, MTV, I-D, Wonderland, Clash, Notion, and has delivered rapturous performances on television shows such as Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Today Show. DALLASK × LAUV — “TRY AGAIN”

Today, acclaimed producer/songwriter/artist DallasK unveiled his summery new single, “Try Again,” which features longtime friend and collaborator Lauv on vocals. With a wistful look back and a hopeful eye to the future, the track builds into an infectious, exhilarating plea to rekindle a romance that was perhaps never really over. You can download and stream “Try Again,” which was released today via Astralwerks, HERE. You can watch the lyric video HERE.

“Try Again” continues the collaboration that began when DallasK co-produced and co-wrote Lauv’s 2016 single “Breathe.” DallasK also co-produced and co-wrote “Sad Forever,” a single from Lauv’s 2020 debut album, ~how i’m feeling~, and collaborated on Lauv’s 2020 EP, Without You. The pair co-wrote “Try Again” with Michael Pollack (Lizzo, Zedd, Justin Bieber). In addition to producing, DallasK played all the instruments on the song.

DallasK, who is also known for his work with such artists as Tiësto, Fifth Harmony, BTS, Chromeo and KSHMR, says, “‘Try Again’ is actually the first dance record Lauv and I made together and it was super fun to create a unique record that encompasses both of our styles and influences.”

Lauv added, “Me and Dally made this song a couple years ago and we came back to it during quarantine and now we ready to put ‘er out into the world.”

Like the unforgettable ex in the song, the artists couldn’t resist returning to “Try Again,” a song that dates back to an informal 2016 recording session. Lauv and Michael Pollack joined Dallas at a lake house he’d rented in his hometown of Orlando, FL and there they created over a dozen songs.

“Several months later, Lauv’s artist project started to grow rapidly and he was suddenly on tour with Ed Sheeran and playing all around the world,” recalls DallasK. “We continued to work on his albums but ‘Try Again’ was always a favorite of ours that had gotten seemingly lost in the shuffle.”

After they rediscovered the track last year, Dallas FaceTimed Lauv with an idea for a more dance-focused version. Lauv loved it so much, he immediately re-recorded the vocals.

“Then we finished the record on a trip to Mexico for New Year’s and that’s the version you hear today!” says DallasK.

About DallasK:

Based in Los Angeles, DallasK (Dallas Koehlke) has released a string of acclaimed singles, including “All My Life,” “Self Control,” “I Know” and “Sometimes.” Praising the “relatable story” told on “Sometimes,” Billboard asked, “Does true love ever die? […] ‘Sometimes,’ the ghost of the past never really goes away. That’s the kind of love DallasK, Nicky Romero and XYLO wrote about on their summer heartbreak sing-along.”

DallasK is also known for his collaborations with such artists as Tiësto (“Show Me,” “Your Love”), Hardwell (“Area 51”) and KSHMR (“Burn”). He co-wrote and produced Fifth Harmony’s 5x Platinum single, “Work From Home” feat. Ty Dolla Sign as well as their singles “Down” and “He Like That.” He’s also remixed singles for such artists as Martin Garrix/Bebe Rexha, The Chainsmokers, MGMT, A-Trak/Andrew Wyatt, Skrillex and T.I./Pharrell/Robin Thicke.

Popdust observed, “It’s impossible to escape his influence. From Ariana Grande and Kesha to Lauv, Katy Perry and Fifth Harmony, Koehlke has curated a staggering number of today’s hits, whether behind the scenes or in the production chair.”

About Lauv:

Lauv has quietly and steadily become one of pop’s brightest rising stars. He has released his music completely independently with billions of streams to his name. He has written for some of the biggest stars in the world, performed on late night talk shows, played stadiums opening for Ed Sheeran, and sold out shows in 20+ countries as a headliner. And he did all of this without releasing an album.

That changed in early 2020, with Lauv’s official debut, ~how i’m feeling~. A 21-song tour de force, the project marks a breakthrough, a real moment of arrival, from a young singer/songwriter/producer who Rolling Stone called “Pop’s Up-and-Coming Heartbreak King.” The album released as a Top 20 album in 10 territories, including #9 in UK and #5 in AU, with over 1.5 billion combined streams to date.

Since then, Lauv has released a surprise new EP titled Without You, created during quarantine, and joined forces with rising global pop superstar Conan Gray on the new single “Fake.” Lauv has been open about his own struggles with anxiety and depression and has taken action on the issue with his Blue Boy Foundation, which supports programs that help young people feel more comfortable reaching out for help with mental health.

Listen to “Home” by Ava Della Pietra here.

15-year-old singer/songwriter Ava Della Pietra has just released her most poignant single to-date with “Home,” inspired by the devastating stories of families torn apart on the southern border. Parade Magazine called the song “inspiring,” “empowering,” and a “pop ray of hope,” with “pure pop sensibility, catchy hooks and heartfelt lyrics…inspiring young listeners to feel proactive and empowered.” With lyrics that touch on fear, loneliness, and hope, “Home” is universal anthem for any young person struggling with life’s challenges, as relevant to those on the southern border as to the everyday teen. Parade adds, “Her spot-on vocals and sweet delivery will have you singing along and cheering for the power of open-minded activism.” Proceeds from the single and merchandise will be donated to charities dedicated to reuniting and rehoming children at the southern border.

Over the past few years, Ava has emerged as one of the most promising young artists on the pop scene today. Having established herself on the Broadway stage in the original cast of School of Rock, Ava’s debut single “Christmas Tonight” was named one of the “Best Holiday Songs” of the year by Tiger Beat Magazine, alongside artists like the Jonas Brothers and Liam Payne, and her follow-up single “Optimist” reached #50 on the Top 40 Radio chart, earning praise from American Songwriter, Just Jared Jr., and Newsday, who called Ava a “rising star.”

Produced by Will Hicks (Ed Sheeran, Jamie Lawson), “Home” is one of fifty songs that Ava has written, and the first of ten already produced, to be released in the coming months. Ava collaborated with some of the world’s top producers on her upcoming album, including Hicks, Justin Gray (Avril Lavigne, Mariah Carey), and Adrian Gurvitz (Andra Day, Jesse McCartney, Cheetah Girls). Alongside “Home” and “Optimist,” the album will also feature songs like “Forgotten,” dedicated to the people of Puerto Rico suffering in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria, as well as Ava’s upcoming single “Isolation,” slated for release this spring.

“Over the past few years, I have been shocked to learn about the terrible conditions that children have had to endure at the border–being separated from their families and left alone,” Ava said. “I also know that there are kids around the world struggling in other ways, including emotional challenges, pressures at school, problems at home, and so much more. I hope this song can encourage people to lend a helping hand and be there for one another.”

A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, bass, guitar, violin, and ukulele, Ava began performing at age four and writing songs at age five. She performed on the national tours of “Les Misérables” and “White Christmas” before joining the original cast of “Broadway’s School of Rock”, and has been featured on “Good Morning America”, “Sesame Street”, the Tony Awards, “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver”, and more. Ava has performed at the Sundance Film Festival, the Great South Bay Music Festival, the New York Tennis Open, and at Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 Knicks fans, as well as at My Father’s Place in Roslyn, New York, and in front of a sold-out crowd at NYC’s Rockwood Music Hall. Most recently Ava launched “Talking Tunes with Ava Della Pietra,” a new music column with Teen Kid News, where she is reviewing popular hits. Ava was also featured on the soundtrack for “Secondhand Lions: A New Musical.”

A supporter of both local and national charitable organizations, Ava is dedicated to advocating for young people, inspiring others to believe in themselves and follow their dreams. For more information on Ava Della Pietra, please visit her website.

Here at 360 Magazine, we sat down with Ava to discuss the release of “Home,” her rise to fame, and how she finds inspiration for her soulful songwriting.

  1. Are there any specific charities you’d like to shout out of which to proceeds of “Home” are going toward? Yes, I am giving proceeds from “Home” to non-profit agencies helping unaccompanied minors to reunite with their families and find homes.

    2. You’ve written over 50 songs! That’s very impressive. Where do you find inspiration for writing all of these tracks?

Most of my inspiration comes from real life. I really enjoy expressing my emotions through my songwriting because I think it helps me discover more about myself. Sometimes, I will just be walking around my house and a thought will pop into my head. Unconsciously, I come up with a melody to that phrase, and occasionally I’ll create a song. Other times, I’ll simply sit down and think, “I want to write a song today!”

    3. Of the songs you’ve written that haven’t yet been produced, what other themes do you discuss within your music that you think are most important to bring awareness to?

A few themes I explore in my songs are love, empowerment, mental health, confidence, and friendship. For example, I’ve recently written a few songs about overcoming insecurities. Something I like about my music is that even though a couple of my songs may focus on sad topics, almost all of them have a positive or hopeful spin to them by the end.

    4. Even though other young people’s situations may not be as severe as those at the southern border, how do you see “Home” as a relatable anthem for all listeners?

“Home” is about lending a helping hand to those in need. This idea can apply to a wide range of situations, from daily encouragement to serious national issues, such as the southern border.

    5. What is the most standout performance of your career, in your opinion?

In terms of acting and performing arts, “School of Rock” on Broadway was definitely a dream come true. In regard to my singer-songwriter career, Sundance Film Festival was one of my favorite experiences. I also really enjoyed singing the National Anthem at Madison Square Garden for a Knicks game, singing at My Father’s Place, and traveling out to Las Vegas to perform.

    6. You recently launched “Talking Tunes with Ava Della Pietra.” What artists do you particularly enjoy and inspire your own performance?

Some of my favorite artists are Lauv, Conan Gray, Halsey, Lewis Capaldi, and Camila Cabello. I also like Ed Sheeran and his performance style. He uses a loop pedal which allows him to add the different layers of a song live. I’ve recently started to use a looper, and I find it really fun to incorporate all 5 of my instruments into my performance.

    7. Do you have a “dream musical” you’d love to be involved with in the future?

I’m a huge fan of “Dear Evan Hansen”, so being a part of that musical would be absolutely incredible!

    8. You began performing at such a young age. When did you, or your parents, first recognize your natural ability to perform?

I’ve been singing more or less my whole life! I was in my first community theater production when I was four, and people began to approach my parents and encourage them to find me an agent. When I was six, I booked my first role in the National Tour of “Les Misérables.” Everything kind of skyrocketed from there.

    9. What are you most excited about regarding the upcoming release of your debut album?

I’m just so excited for people to listen to my music. Over the past year, my style has changed a lot, and I can’t wait for people to hear what I’ve been working on!
