It also landed on the New York Times’ coveted feature The Playlist and one of Billboard’s “Best Songs of 2002 So Far.” Meanwhile, Huffington Post noted it “highlights New York’s ever-evolving drill scene.

BabySantana – nyc

After lighting up the internet and attracting tastemaker praise,  15-year-old phenomenon BabySantana unleashes his new single and music video “nyc” via Galactic Records/Republic Records.

Listen to “nyc” HERE. Watch “nyc” HERE

The track’s frenetic, furious, and fiery production rages beneath his double-time rhymes as he practically runs suicides back and forth lyrically over the beat. The futuristic intensity culminates with a striking chant. In the accompanying visual, he takes over the streets of New York City, turning up in a convenience store as psychedelic animated filters fill the frame.

Clocking in at just over a minute, “nyc” exerts a compact and catchy impact at full force.

It also lands on the heels of “off the leash!” feat. yvngxchris & Luisss. The latter has impressively tallied over 7 million total streams to date. Daily Chiefers applauded it as a “fucking banger” and urged, “each drop is seemingly better than the previous one.” DJ Booth touted it among the “Best Songs of the Week” and wrote, “Santana declares himself ‘off the leash,’ which has the young Georgia rapper gnashing through crunchy production and features from yvngxchris and Luisss.”

Next up, BabySantana supports multiplatinum chart-topping rap phenomenon Lil Tecca on his Tecca Loves You Tour. It kicks off March 30, 2022 at Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, GA, visits major markets coast-to-coast, and concludes on May 21, 2022 at Ritz Ybor in Tampa, FL..

BabySantana has become a bold and buzzing blunt force in hip-hop at just 15-years-old. Hailing from Columbus, GA, he went from self-producing music in a small closet at home to igniting the internet. Bolstered by independent projects, he has generated over 155 million streams and counting. “Antisocial” [feat. Slump6] notably posted up 87 million streams followed by “Antisocial 2” [feat. Slump6, Yung Fazo, Xhulooo, SSGKOBE] at 31 million streams and “14” with Ka$hdami at 29 million streams. Pitchfork named “Prada (Remix)” [feat. Lil Tecca] among “The Ones” as “The must-hear rap song of the day,” and DJBooth cited him among “10 Rappers You Should Know Right Now on Audiomack.” BabySantana is just getting started though. He’s off the leash and chomping at the bit to be heard.

Queen Naija × Big Sean – Hate Our Love

Detroit natives Queen Naija and GRAMMY-nominated, multi-Platinum artist Big Sean team up on the soulful new single “Hate Our Love.“ The deeply romantic track, which samples the classic 70s hit “Sounds Like A Love Song,“ celebrates the kind of love that thrives despite hard times and haters.

“What I‘d like for people to take away from ‘Hate Our Love‘ is don‘t let anybody come in between anything or anyone that you love,“ says Queen Naija. “I‘m so excited to finally collaborate with Big Sean on a record, it’s been a dream of mine for a while now. With both of us being from Detroit, it felt like the perfect match up and I hope everyone loves the song!“

Big Sean topped the Billboard 200 for the third time with his 2020 album DETROIT 2. His six-song EP with Hit-Boy, What You Expect, was released last fall. He will be performing at Coachella in April.

Queen has amassed over three billion combined global streams in her career to date. Her debut album, missunderstood, entered Billboard‘s Top R&B Albums chart at No. 1 and earned a place in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. Nominated for a 2021 American Music Award in the Favorite R&B Album category, it includes the No. 1 hit “Butterflies Pt. 2“ and the Gold-certified singles “Pack Lite“ and “Lie To Me“ ft. Lil Dirk. Views of the official video for the fan favorite “I‘m Her“ ft. Kiana Lede has surpassed 3.2 million and the track has racked up over 37 million combined streams worldwide. The deluxe edition of the album, missunderstood, still, includes five previously unreleased songs.

Flaunt said, “Equipped with a smooth and sultry voice and infectious energy, each one of her R&B ballads are real, honest, and relatable.“ Essence Girls United noted, “Queen Naija‘s album, missunderstood, touches the soul in a way that only Black music can.“ “Queen Naija is, without question, who R&B heads should be checking for,“ declared DJ Booth.

About James Blake
The GRAMMY® Award-winning UK singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer unassumingly operates as the enigmatic engine behind some of the most influential albums of the 21st century. He produced choice cuts on Frank Ocean’s Blonde and Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. as well as JAY-Z’s 4:44 and Beyoncé’s Lemonade—to which he also lent his voice in both cases. Feature appearances span “Stop Trying to Be God” with Stevie Wonder and Kid Cudi on Travis Scott’s epic ASTROWORLD and “King’s Dead” with Jay Rock, Kendrick Lamar, and Future from the chart-dominating Black Panther: The Album. The latter not only went triple-platinum, but it also earned Blake his first GRAMMY® Award in the category of “Best Rap Performance.” Simultaneously, he emerged as pop’s most celebrated outlier with his dynamic solo output. He introduced a singular sound on 2011’s James Blake. Awarding the record a rare 9.0-out-of-10 score, Pitchfork crowned it one of “Top 100 Albums of the Decade So Far (2010-2014).” On its heels, the 2013 Overgrown illustrated his rare magnetic ability to align the likes of Brian Eno and RZA on the same project. It notably received the 2013 Mercury Prize and secured Blake’s “Best New Artist” nomination at the GRAMMY® Awards. After 2016’s The Colour In Anything, he reached new critical and commercial peaks with Assume Form during 2019. It bowed at #21 on the Billboard Top 200, marking his highest entry to date. Beyond clocking 300 million cumulative streams in under a year, it garnered the GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Alternative Album” and graced “Best of 2019” lists for outlets including Time Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar, Stereogum, Consequence of Sound, Billboard, DJ Booth, and Esquire. Additionally, he oversees 1-800 Dinosaur, which spans a club night, record label, and radio show. As he prepares his fifth album, James Blake’s shadow over popular music only continues to grow.

BIG BRATT – FIRST CLASS

Today, rising Chattanooga-bred rapper Big Bratt releases “First Class,” an energetic new single powered by crushing bass, rapid-fire flexes, and irrepressible attitude. The track arrives with accompanying video, watch above or listen at all digital retailers here.

Over a minimal, speaker-rattling instrumental, Bratt serves up confident bars about her approach to romance. “Told him he can be my trick, but he can’t be my man,” she raps in her deep Southern drawl, “Every time I leave a nigga, make him go insane.” Elsewhere, she dives into some casual flexing, flaunting her knack for stacking money and detailing the life of luxury that’s resulted from her success. “I’m in first class with my feet up,” she raps on the infectious chorus.

With hard-hitting bars and a memorable hook, “First Class” is further proof that Big Bratt is well on her way to big things. This new song arrives just over a month after the Cinematic Music Group rapper’s “Paid in Full,” a song and video made in the spirit of the 2002 film of the same name. In the video, she plays her own version of the movie’s kingpin protagonist while still making time to hit up the basketball court and kick it with her crew. It’s a visual that is rooted deeply in hip-hop culture and it demands you pay attention, something plenty of new listeners are starting to do with every Big Bratt release.

This recent run of singles, which started with the reflective 2020 track “Rich Rollxn,” shows off why she’s caught the attention of critics and tastemakers — DJ BOOTH has already identified her as one of “10 rappers you should know right now.” With the fierce charisma and natural dexterity on display on songs like “First Class,” Bratt seems poised to continue making noise throughout the rest of 2021 and beyond.

About Big Bratt:

Raised on Southern hip-hop legends like Boosie and 8Ball & MJG, Bratt stepped into the studio for the first time as a little girl. During her high school years, she learned how to make beats and started sharing her remixes on social media, and soon began putting her fierce work ethic to the test. “Before I got my vehicle I was always catching the bus or getting an Uber to Nashville from three hours away,” says Bratt. “It was hard but I didn’t care what it took; I just knew I needed to get to the studio.”

Now at work on her debut project, Bratt has teamed up with producers like Bankroll Got It (Stunna 4 Vegas, Smokepurpp, Lil Pump) to further develop her sound. “The whole goal of this project is to be motivational,” she says. “I want all the females my age to know they deserve more, but they can’t be lazy or depend on anybody else to make it happen. It’s time to go get it on their own.”
