Moriondo commented on the collaboration, “I love mazie so much, I’m so grateful to be a part of this song!! It’s really perfect and I connect with Grace [mazie] so much, so this collab felt perfect :’)”

mazie added, “Working with Chloe on ‘not okay’ was such a dream. This was my first time getting to work with another artist and Chloe is a literal shining star. We had so much fun. I really enjoyed writing the song—I think everyone has been going through being not okay and I hope people find company in knowing that we aren’t okay either.”

This fall, Chloe Moriondo will embark on a North American headline tour, kicking off September 30th in Columbus, Ohio. The run includes sold out dates at The Roxy in Los Angeles, CA and New York City’s Bowery Ballroom, wrapping up with a home-state performance at El Club in Detroit, MI. Full list of tour dates is available HERE. Tickets for all dates are available now. For up-to-date ticketing information, please click HERE.

About Chloe Moriondo:

At age eighteen, Chloe Moriondo professes to be an “internet kid,” yet she tackles overwhelming infatuation, listless daydreams and first love with keen empathy that’s unsearchable online. With her relatable, confessional lyrics and idiosyncratic humor, the singer-songwriter has built a devoted fanbase of millions, sharing her authentic self to create a genuine connection with her listeners. Moriondo shared her major-label debut album Blood Bunny this spring to critical acclaim, with The New York Times crowning the record a “Critic’s Pick.” The record also garnered additional praise from The FADER, Pitchfork, Billboard, NYLON, UPROXX and more. Following the release, Moriondo made her television debut on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! and appeared soon after on The Late Late Show With James Corden.

About mazie:

Pairing dark, fatalistic lyrics with shiny, alt-pop arrangements, mazie’s music is as infectious as it is unpredictable, a playful take on modern malaise wrapped up in a sugar-coated psychedelia. Her writing exudes a child-like innocence, but with an eerie, off-kilter twist, like watching old home movies through a funhouse mirror. She will release her debut EP the rainbow cassette on August 25th via Good Boy / Virgin. Recent EP single “dumb dumb” received critical acclaim from The New York Times, Consequence of Sound, Ones To Watch and more, with BBC Radio 1 featuring her as a “Next Wave Artist” upon release.

ELTON JOHN × DUA LIPA × PNAU — COLD HEART

Elton John and Dua Lipa have today unveiled their new collaboration “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix).” The track is available now HERE.

A joyous and blissful dance cut, “Cold Heart” sees two of the world’s most celebrated artists come together on record for the first time. The seed of the collaboration was planted after Dua invited Elton for an Instagram live discussing his experiences with Studio 54 ahead of her remix album Club Future Nostalgia. A shared respect and subsequent friendship blossomed which saw Elton appear as a guest on Dua’s record breaking Studio 2054 live stream. Dua subsequently performed at The Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, which raised over $3 million for the Foundation. Driven by the restrictions of lockdown and a renewed passion for collaboration, Elton reached out to Dua to work on new music together remotely.

The results of those sessions certainly live up to the billing. “Cold Heart” is at once instantly recognizable and yet thoroughly contemporary—a modern dance floor filler based on four of Elton’s classic tracks expertly spliced together by Australian electronic band and producers PNAU—“Kiss The Bride” (originally from 1983 album Too Low For Zero), “Rocketman” (from 1972’s Honky Chateau), “Where’s the Shoorah?” (from 1976 double album Blue Moves) and “Sacrifice” (from 1989’s Healing Hands). PNAU previously achieved an acclaimed UK number 1 in 2012 with the Elton Versus PNAU album Good Morning to the Night.

Elton John says: “The last 18 months have been hard, but being off the road has meant that I’ve actually had time to get back to my roots as a session player and collaborate with some wonderful artists. And having the opportunity to spend time with Dua, albeit remotely has been incredible. She’s given me so much energy. She’s a truly wonderful artist and person, absolutely bursting with creativity and ideas. The energy she brought to ‘Cold Heart’ just blew my mind.”

Dua Lipa says: “Ever since we first ‘met’ online, we totally clicked. Elton is such an inspirational artist and also has the naughtiest sense of humor—a perfect combination. It has been an absolute honor and privilege to collaborate on this track with him. It’s so very special, with some of my very favorite Elton John classic songs combined—I loved being part of such a creative and joyous experience. Can’t wait to hear it everywhere this summer.”

PNAU say: “Setting a stage for the two greatest performers in the world today Sir Elton John and Dua Lipa, we knew we had to go in deep, take them into our world, the psychedelic laser black lit club. Where all of us can meet on the dance floor, forget the outside and lose ourselves in the healing waters of music and love eternal.”

The single is accompanied by a stunning video created by Hamburg based animator and director Raman Djafari. Watch the video HERE. The video sees animated versions of Elton and Dua stepping into a dynamic and euphoric world before separating as their planets drift apart. A beautifully drawn, wistful and, at times, trippy parallel to the last year and a half in lockdown, the video reaches its moving and joyous climax as the characters are reunited.

After 18 months when many artists have battened down the hatches and waited for the covid clouds to lift, Elton and Dua have continued to push boundaries and defy any expectations. And with the release of ‘Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)’ the world has the perfect optimistic and joyous summer anthem to usher back the good times.

To date, Elton has delivered more than 4,000 performances in more than 80 countries since launching his first tour in 1970. 2019 also saw the release of Rocketman and global bestselling autobiography, ME. RENCE — “AWOOO!”

“Rence is in his own lane, defying the stigma that an artist has to be bound by any one genre.” – FLAUNT

“In a way that few artists can, Rence has redefined his sound with every new release.” – ONES TO WATCH

“Rence is one of the most promising vocalists in the music industry right now.” – LYRICAL LEMONADE

Critically acclaimed, buzzing singer, songwriter and produce Rence is back today with the heartfelt new single “AWOOO!” Get it HERE via Epic Records.

Hopeful and romantic on the surface, the breakout star’s latest release is actually a breakup song, even if not immediately apparent in the lyrics. “I love when you howl at the moon, I wanna lay here watching you,” the 23-year-old coos over dreamy guitars. “Til I’m howling too, like AWOOO!”

“I actually wrote it as a bookend to a relationship,” Rence says. “But it turned into a love song even as a goodbye.” Somber but full of life and color, “AWOOO!” became about the realization that even true love can fade. It covers the kind of complex emotional territory that Rence has tread since bursting onto the pop music scene while still studying at NYU.

“AWOOO!” follows the exuberant anthem “Endless,” which was released at the top of 2021 and showcases his trademark vulnerability and emotional nuance. With more new music on the horizon, he continues to create a kaleidoscopic pop sound, while experimenting with everything from electro to hip hop.

Over the last few years, Rence has established himself as one of pop’s most unguarded young stars. When he isn’t crafting transparently emotional singles like “Strawberry Blonde” and “Type 2,” he’s lifting the veil on his artistic process in a series of TikTok videos. At the same time, the artist/producer has also stayed busy with collaborations, recording music with Sarah Barrios, Alex Port, Chloe Lilac and Johan Lenox. Since debuting, Rence has amassed more than 50 million cumulative streams and continues to expand his fan base with each release. “AWOOO!” further builds out the emotional complexity and intricate instrumentals at the core of his songs, reminding listeners that there are poignant messages behind every infectious melody.

ABOUT RENCE:

Sharing real life snapshots in song, Rence magnifies his personal perspective through a genre-less palette, bordering pop, alternative, electro, indie and hip-hop all at once, yet never dipping into one for too long. He first introduced himself on the breakthrough independent project, Pink, featuring standout single “Baby Blue.” In 2019, after signing to Epic Records, he followed with the release of “Expensive” [feat. Noah Cyrus] and his major label debut EP, FALL 2019. Over the last year, his consistent output continued with the bold and buzz-y “hate u, btw,” “Type 2,” “Tears in December,” “Sometimes Things Just Fall Apart,” “Strawberry Blonde” and “Endless.” With over 50 million streams and counting, Rence has received acclaim from the likes of Pigeons and Planes (who named him “Best New Artist” Dec 2019), The FADER, Lyrical Lemonade, Nylon, Billboard, V Magazine, Paper, i-D, Wonderland, Flaunt and Zane Lowe.

ROSELAND COMMUNITY HOSPITAL SERVES CHICAGO’S SOUTH SIDE

With a rich and storied history in the Greater Roseland Area, Roseland Community Hospital demonstrates a stellar example of a community hospital that is both owned and operated by the people that it serves

Since opening in 1924, the Roseland Community Hospital, or RCH for short, has been offering comprehensive healthcare services to residents of Chicago’s far South Side neighborhoods, including outpatient services, a well-known Obstetrics Unit, behavioral health services, and most recently plays host to a COVID-19 clinic. The Hospital, which is located in the Greater Roseland Area at 45 W. 111th St., is open 24-hours, and strives to satisfy the community and offer quality resources to each individual, a mission it has maintained since its inception. At the forefront, professional caregivers provide valuable services to patient’s recovery and overall wellness. Throughout the myriad of social, economic and political changes that have dramatically affected the neighborhoods, the Hospital has maintained a strategic focus to help those they serve. Throughout the calendar year, the team at the Roseland Hospital has created special programming as a way to give back to its surrounding community, with various activations scheduled including a Back to School celebration, an annual coat drive, a Giving Tuesday and Toy Drive initiative and much more.

“Our vision has been, and continues to be, to develop quality hospital programs and services that enable our community residents to grow and live healthy lifestyles,” said Tim Egan, President and CEO of the Roseland Community Hospital. “We see ourselves as a major lifeline to many in the surrounding communities, and will continue to strive and satisfy this community we call home.”

Due to the rich history in the Greater Roseland Area, the neighborhood surrounding the hospital has continually evolved beginning with a Dutch settlement in 1840. Since then, most importantly, “The Great Migration” played a major role in immigrants and thousands of African Americans pouring into the community in search of employment opportunities. Today, African Americans comprise of ninety-nine percent of Roseland Community Hospital’s patients; and seventy-five percent of RCH’s administrators, doctors, nurses and staff. Increasingly, the community has also been seeing a rising percentage of Latino residents to the area.

The Hospital provides a wide range of services including an Obstetrics Unit, Behavioral Health Services, a Medical Stabilization Unit, Outpatient Services, a Mobile Dental Clinic, a COVID-19 Clinic and a Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. Roseland Community Hospital has experienced the privilege of providing healthcare services for the people who currently call Roseland their home.

TIBET HOUSE — ALLEN GINSBERG × GELEK RIMPOCHE EXHIBIT

Tibet House US Presents Transforming Minds: Kyabje Gelek Rimpoche & Friends

Exhibition Celebrates Rimpoche and Allen Ginsberg’s Relationship Through the Lens of Ginsberg’s Camera

Tibet House US is delighted to partner with The Allen Ginsberg Estate and Jewel Heart International on an exhibition of unique images by the celebrated visionary and poet Allen Ginsberg. The special exhibit will be on display at the Tibet House Gallery (22 West 15th Street, New York, NY) from September 21-December 12, 2021 with more details and special events to be announced in the coming weeks.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997), best known as one of the most influential poets of the 20th Century, is also recognized for his photography, intimately capturing friendships from the birth of the Beat Generation through the countercultural, cultural, and literary circles he helped inspire. Ginsberg’s lifelong spiritual quest, beginning early on with visionary experiences involving the 19th century English mystic and poet, William Blake, ultimately evolved into a deep commitment to and practice of Tibetan Buddhism in the final decades of his life.

Gelek Rimpoche (1938-2017) was one of the last Tibetan Buddhist lamas educated in Tibet and is considered to be one of the great Tibetan Buddhist teachers of the 20th and 21st Centuries. He fled Tibet in 1959, and in the late 1970s began teaching Westerners in Northern India. By the late 1980s he had moved to the United States, and in 1988 established Jewel Heart here, having already opened Jewel Heart centers in Europe and in Asia. He remains particularly known for his thorough knowledge of English, his familiarity with modern culture, and his effectiveness in teaching Westerners Tibetan Buddhism.

In 1989, Allen Ginsberg’s close friend, Philip Glass, a student of Rimpoche, brought Ginsberg to Michigan to perform a benefit concert for Jewel Heart. From that first meeting and until Ginsberg’s death in 1997, Rimpoche was his Tibetan Buddhist teacher and friend. Ginsberg, was also, in many ways, Rimpoche’s teacher—a consultant in matters involving the English language and the more puzzling facts of Western culture. The two formed an indissoluble bond.

Allen Ginsberg used his friends, peers and teachers as subjects in many of his photographic images highlighting and documenting his life as he did in this exhibit, focusing on his life with Gelek Rimpoche and friends, many of whom they shared. Images in the show include the Dalai Lama, Philip Glass, Patti Smith, Francesco Clemente, Robert Thurman and others, and exemplify the transformational nature of this time in US history.

The exhibition is a partnership between Tibet House U.S., The Allen Ginsberg Estate and Jewel Heart, and was curated by Peter Hale and Ben Paljor Chatag.

Timed entry tickets are available now. Please email sonam@tibethouse.us for reservations. Estate prints and copies will also be available for sale, and the exhibition will be viewable online HERE.

Feast on savory treats and sweets, laugh or gasp in awe (or both!) at breathtaking performances. Shop at the marketplace featuring over 100 artisans, with demonstrations including glassblowing and candle making.

In 2018, the fair was named the best Renaissance Faire in the region for the third year in a row. Last year it was voluntarily cancelled because of COVID-19. This year it returns with measures to keep guests, performers and staff safe by following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. As of now, guests who are vaccinated need not wear face masks, but social distancing is encouraged for all. Some experiences may be modified to reduce physical contact. (Please check HERE before visiting for any updates on COVID-19-related guidelines and requirements.)

“Our team is working hard to literally set the stages for world-class, immersive entertainment that will put a smile on your face as we recognize that what we do best is needed now more than ever,” said Linda McFeters, Owner and Producer of the New York Renaissance Faire. “We are working closely with the local health department and the most current CDC recommendations to ensure the safety of our guests, vendors, volunteers and staff.”

Here’s what you’ll find at the fair:

Food: Feast on a roasted turkey leg, a boar platter or a worldwide variety of treats – pho, mac and cheese, burritos and more – including many vegetarian and gluten-free options. Sample craft brews, cider and mead – a honey-based wine – along with soft drinks.

Entertainment: Acrobats, actors, musicians and more will dazzle you with performances to make you laugh one moment, gasp in awe the next. Enjoy music, magic, comedy and excitement including an action-packed live chess match and a climactic jousting competition in the Shire’s tiltyard. (Most, but not all, entertainers perform every weekend. Check the entertainment schedule HERE.)

Shopping: Wander the streets of an Elizabethan English village and peruse more than 100 artisan shops offering handmade wares of metalsmiths, clothes makers, leather goods, jewelry and more. Marvel at demonstrations in glassblowing, leatherworking, blacksmithing, candle making and pottery throwing.

Especially for Kids: “Kids’ Quest” invites the Shire’s younger visitors to join an interactive adventure helping the Fairy Folk in the Enchanted Forest rediscover their magic. The “Boffer Wars” teaches swordplay skills (with all-foam swords) to young heroes-in-training.
