BIG30 – KING OF KILLBRANCH

BIG30 SHARES EXPLOSIVE DEBUT PROJECT: KING OF KILLBRANCH

Watch the video for “Free Shiest Life” HERE

September 2, 2021 – Today, Memphis rapper BIG30 releases King of Killbranch, his explosive debut project filled with the menacing gunplay, percussive flows, and vivid recollections of life on his block that’ve cemented his status as one of rap’s fastest rising stars. Featuring guest spots from Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo, Future, Lil Durk, Pooh Shiesty, Offset, and more, the project arrives alongside the official video for “Free Shiesty,” which pays tribute to 30’s friend and frequent collaborator.

King of Killbranch is Big30’s most ambitious effort to date, including stellar guest spots as well as 30’s blend of technical skill and steely intensity. On “Fuck the Opps,” 30 lets loose cutthroat bars that evoke images of life in a danger zone he’s become all too comfortable inhabiting. “Til them bitches extinct/See the nigga with me shoot his gun before he thinks,” 30 raps over the low-key beat.

30’s new project was preceded by “Back Seat of the Rolls Truck,” an appropriately relentless opener for an effort characterized by its ferociousness. On the track, 30 lets’s loose some ruthless bars: “He gotta go, that’s on my nigga/One apps so little when he dies he gets smoked out a Swisha.”

King of Killbranch is just the latest step in BIG30’s journey to rap dominance, one that began when he wrote his first songs with Pooh Shiesty just a few years ago. He kicked off 2021 with a celebrated feature on Pooh Shiesty’s RIAA Gold-certified “Neighbors,” which peaked at #51 on the Billboard Hot 100. From there, he completed a trap artist rite of passage by appearing on Gucci Mane’s “Shit Crazy,” garnering the attention of ComplexVulture, and other tastemaking outlets in the process. With several standout singles and his debut project at his back, BIG30 is set to make the most of his moment, which is starting to look like it will last a very long time.

EST GEE — “5500 DEGREES”

Today, EST Gee shared the new music video for his raw and energetic single “5500 Degrees (feat Lil Baby, 42 Dugg and Rylo Rodriguez),” which has become a fan-favorite off the Louisville hip-hop artist’s debut label mixtape, Bigger Than Life Or Death.

On “5500 Degrees,” Gee joins forces with the Baby, Dugg and Rylo to put a fresh twist on Juvenile’s classic “400 Degreez” that was released in 1998. In the visual directed by Diesel Filmz, all 4 artists deliver dynamic bars that showcase their charisma and star power. Watch the video HERE.

Gee recently secured his first-career, Top-10 appearance on the Billboard 200 chart with Bigger Than Life Or Death, which was released via CMG/Warlike/Interscope Records and surged to No. 7 on the Billboard 200.

It has impressively gathered over 137 million streams globally to date as he continues to average nearly 4 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He also topped Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 Chart and captured No. 1 on Apple’s All Genre chart. Stream Bigger Than Life Or Death HERE.

Last month, Gee made his major festival debut at Rolling Loud: Miami, where he performed several songs from Bigger Than Life Or Death and performed alongside labelmate 42 Dugg. He is also set to perform at Rolling Loud: New York and Rolling Loud: California as well as Made In America.

Bigger Than Life Or Death marks Gee’s label debut and the project was jam-packed with illustrious collaborations from Lil Baby, Future, Yo Gotti, Young Thug, Lil Durk, 42 Dugg, Rylo Rodriguez and Pooh Shiesty.

The mixtape went on to receive acclaim from several media outlets including XXL, OkayPlayer, BrooklynVegan, Complex, Fader and more. It also received rave reviews from VIBE who acclaimed, “…the Louisville native shines on this outing, as well as the entirety of his new project…” and Stereogum who recognized, “Even with all those big stars on the album… Bigger Than Life Or Death never loses its sense of personality.”  Gee was also recognized by Billboard who crowned him as “July’s R&B/Hip-Hop Rookie of the Month.”

BIG30 – MISTA

Rising NLess / Bread Gang Entertainment rapper BIG30 returns with the confrontational new track and video “Mista.” With vivid lyrics, a pummeling beat, and an intense delivery that reflects the gravity of life in the trenches, the song is more evidence that BIG30 is one of the most talented Memphis artists to surface in years.

Over throbbing trap drums and menacing piano, BIG30 slings relentless bars carved from the streets of his native Memphis. He raps about the realities of his life, both the successes he’s already attained and the gunplay it might take to stay at the top. Paired with the icy yet insistent instrumental, BIG30’s lyrics give a sense that there’s always danger lurking around the corner. “Take care of my killers on the daily, get whatever gun/We spin they block for fun,” he raps. Like the best tracks he’s released over the past couple of years, it’s exciting, combative, and intense.

The high octane “Mista” follows early July’s “Too Official,” an infectious single that features a guest spot from Yo Gotti, the reigning king of Memphis trap. That track’s lively video has quickly accumulated more than 2 million views, further building the momentum for BIG30, who’s already had an explosive 2021. While he’s been on a steady grind for a few years now, BIG30 began seriously rising after appearing on “Neighbors,” an RIAA Gold-certified Pooh Shiesty song that showcased BIG30’s blunt-force delivery and penchant for vivid lyrics. From there, he completed a trap artist rite of passage by appearing on “Shit Crazy” with Gucci Mane, garnering the attention of ComplexVulture, and other tastemaking outlets in the process.

With those stellar singles already at his back and new tracks like “Mista” coming out by the day, BIG30’s wild rise is sure to continue across the rest of 2021 and beyond.

BIGKAYBEEZY – ARS & FNS

“ARS & FNS” BY BIGKAYBEEZY OUT NOW

FULL LENGTH PROJECT COMING SOON

Today, Chicago-bred rapper BigKayBeezy continues to make waves with his latest single “Ars & FNs”. The record exudes effortless confidence and magnetic bravado with Beezy‘s bars hitting over a heavy beat. The track is just a taste of what’s to come for the ascending star, with his full length project ‘Don Juan’ coming soon.

Listen to “Ars & FNs” by BigKayBeezy HERE.

ABOUT BIGKAYBEEZY:

BigKayBeezy released his debut album in 2020. The project – titled GG4L – introduced a rising star with dark and deeply personal lyrics, while his second project of the year, Bad Intentions, showcased his more playful side and an innate ability to imbue rhymes with effortless confidence and magnetic bravado. The project features his most successful track to date, the Polo G-assisted remix of booming, braggadocious “Bookbag 2.0” which has already amassed over 18 million streams to date. He also recently showcased his talents on the ferocious “Walk Down,” featuring Pooh Shiesty, an instant hit record (now at 5M streams to date) which highlights his ability to go toe-to-toe with the hottest rappers in the game. On “Don Juan Pt. 2” he continues to flex with a drill flow reminiscent of his legendary forebears in Chicago. Still, even with these star-making collaborations and testaments to his talent, he isn’t letting himself look too far ahead. He’s taking his time, exploring all the sounds he’s always wanted to try on.

On his more recent singles, like “Heartless,” he’s dabbled in a stirring sing-song flow as indebted to R&B as it is to rap. But no matter what mode he chooses to operate in there are two universal truths: his bleak bass-laced beats will blow out even the sturdiest of speakers, and his bars would tear up any rap battle blowing through the Windy City. “I remember stealing from Walmart/Now I’m a Target/So please don’t get me started,” he croons on “Heartless.” Just like his rising fame and success, this versatility comes naturally to Beezy but it was also a conscious choice he made early in his career. Now gearing up to release his full project ‘Don Juan’ he’s excited to continue his momentum.

BUKU Music + Art Project, New Orleans’s premiere multi-faceted boutique music festival, announced the lineup for BUKU: Planet B, a one-time-only fall iteration of its flagship spring event. Planet B offers up an alternative way to dance through the rabbit-hole of BUKU on the banks of the Big Easy. Aiming to celebrate the resiliency of New Orleans and the triumphant return of live music, BUKU: Planet B is purposefully boutique in size but captures the expansive multi-genre curatorial ethos of BUKU, welcoming over 50 acts to its creative playground on October 22-23, 2021.

For the past decade, BUKU has fostered a boutique festival experience that proudly reflects the diverse and progressive subculture of New Orleans. It’s birthed the #BUKREWE, a community of festival lovers, carnival kings and queens, ragers and twerkers, that come in all shapes and sizes, flowing together along the banks of the Mississippi. Those in the know can attest to the wild costumes, unhinged self-expression, and myriad of personalities that set the BUKU vibe from start to finish and have made it one of North America’s most authentic places to party.

Continuing its melting pot approach to curation, BUKU: Planet B welcomes a lineup that spans genre and style. Topping the bill are some of modern music’s biggest stars like powerhouse hip-hop icon Megan Thee Stallion, melodic bass music’s ultimate champion Illenium, pop-punk vocalist Machine Gun Kelly, experimental rapper Playboi Carti, and Memphis rap chart-topper Pooh Shiesty

As you would expect in New Orleans, dancing takes center stage at Planet B with the cutting-edge eclecticism of producers Kaytranada and Jamie xx, Australian dance music producer and vocalist Alison Wonderland, and the trio of bass titans Zeds Dead, Subtronics, and SVDDEN DEATH: VOYD. Adding to the diverse vibe, Chris Lake and Purple Disco Machine will also treat the #BUKREWE to their discography of genre-defining house heaters.

Forward-thinking live performances remain in focus at Planet B with feel-good frequencies from singer Still Woozy, bone-crushing vibes from industrial rap/metal artist Ghostemane, next gen star British singer-songwriter and poet Arlo Parks, genre-bending rap/electro-pop performer Ashnikko, and high-energy rappers EARTHGANG, Flo Milli, slowthai, Yung Baby Tate, and $NOT.

As a barometer for the sounds taking over tomorrow, BUKU: Planet B welcomes breakout stars like Remi Wolf, Dua Saleh, Moore Kismet, VNSSA, 박혜진 Park Hye Jin, TVBOO and others, plus over 20 local New Orleans acts in an effort to showcase and support the local arts community, including the first festival performance by Pell’s GLBL WRMNG collective.

“For the past year, we’ve watched our fans step outside of their comfort zones and persevere through weird times,” said Dante DiPasquale, BUKU’s co-creator.  “PLANET B is the result of us being inspired by them to do the same, and all of us at Team BUKU are excited to finally party with them again.”

Set against the uniquely New Orleans backdrop of the haunting Market Street Power Plant and the historic grounds of the old TwiRoPa venue, Planet B aims to harness the chaos of the last year and release it in the form of raw creativity. Attendees will be guided between multiple stage environments, a dizzying landscape of art installations, street-artist performances, and a multitude of surprises. Fans may find themselves mesmerized by a local graffiti artist, enhancing their costume with a custom face painting, joining a marching band procession, catching a pop-up breakdancing crew or just hanging with friends while gazing at the New Orleans skyline. It’s an urban oasis as much about oddities and community as it is about the headliners.

Civic duty too remains at the heart of the BUKU spirit, as the event organizers continue their Social Responsibility Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment geared towards social justice, reducing the environmental impact of the event, and supporting New Orleans community organizations. BUKU doubled down on this commitment in 2020 alongside its charitable partner Upbeat Academy by launching their Take Action Project (“TAP”). Thus far, the project has completed three fan-mobilizing campaigns raising over $10,000 for racial justice, voting rights, and environmental sustainability organizations. BUKU will continue this mission in 2021 alongside Upbeat Academy, a non-profit that inspires and empowers New Orleans youth through music education, who also act as the beneficiary of proceeds from every ticket sold to BUKU or Planet B. Learn more about these programs here

BUKU: Planet B will be the ultimate release for music fans in dire need of connection and creative exploration. It will continue to provide an inclusive home for the technicolor characters that call New Orleans home while welcoming #BUKREWE far and wide to experience the city’s eccentric culture for themselves. Come and get it.

Slatt Zy - East Lake Projects

Slatt Zy – East Lake Projects

Rising Chattanooga, Tennessee, rapper Slatt Zy introduces the world to the neighborhood that shaped him to be the 18-year-old man he is today through his new project, East Lake Projects, out today on 100k Management. The release is named after the housing development he was raised in alongside his musically inclined family of 11 brothers and sisters. Fans of Slatt Zy will quickly recognize his effortless flow, which moves from melodic, growled bars to more mournful, introspective lines. Listen HERE. Watch the new video directed by Jordan Spencer for  “First Year (feat. Pooh Shiesty) HERE.

“East Lake Projects is where I became a man. It was tough to value life there, and getting over that made me a man. To me it ‘s more than projects – it ‘s my family, and we got through together. 17 people in 2 rooms, 12 people sleeping on one floor ߝ granny, 11 siblings, auntie. We been through struggles together.” Says Slatt Zy.  “We been through everything -shoot outs, hungriness, shoeless, people dying. East Lake Projects is where all my problems came from and made me grown early, but my happy times came from there too. I couldn ‘t imagine any other way to be. The projects may have given me scars and bruises, but also motivated me to be the nigga I am today. “

While Zy ‘s April debut, Zy Story, introduced audiences to his unique vocal approach and innate ear for melody, East Lake Projects showcases a more vulnerable, personal side of the rapper. On the first track,  “Straight Out Them Projects, “Zy immediately establishes the tone of the record. Over melancholic piano chords, he sings,  “We come from poverty / We had to find a way / Straight out them projects, ain ‘t had shit, I had to find a way. “East Lake Projects is deeply indebted to Zy ‘s childhood, and on the project, he aims to shine a light on the community he grew up in and the violence that still plagues it.

Zy offered a preview of East Lake Projects back in October when he released the video for  “How It Go (feat. Hotboii),” which is at nearly a million views. On the track, Zy takes on the vivacious hook while Hotboii delivers smooth melodic verses. The song is one of the more playful, freewheeling cuts on the project, showing that even when Slatt Zy is excavating his emotions, he ‘s able to turn up too.

Zy prides himself on his incredible work ethic and desire to provide his family a better life. In less than a year, he has released over 10 music videos, in addition to Zy Story. With early support from HotNewHipHop, WorldStarHipHop, SAY CHEESE!, Lyrical Lemonade, and ELEVATOR MAGAZINE, it ‘s clear Slatt Zy is on the way up. Zy has come a long way from sleeping on the living room floor with 11 other people and having to attend school with no shoes to now trading in his braces for his first set of diamond grillz.
