The Tennessee natives have major history – they both got their start in the same hip-hop group, Memphis Greatest Unrated (MGU) before their careers took off. As the years went by, they went on to work on several tracks together including fan favorite “1 2 3,” an undeniably hard-hitting track that appeared on Bagg’s critically acclaimed album Time Served. The single went on to amass over 140 million streams globally, reach gold status and chart top 5 at Urban radio. With Code Redthe pair continues to showcase their electric chemistry, “it felt like some 2pac and Biggie shit the whole time we were recording” Blac Youngsta shares while Bagg stated, “I knew this project was going to be hard, every time we link it’s pressure.

The thirteen-track project includes features from Yo Gotti, 42 Dugg, City Girls, DaBaby and more as well as a video for “Super Hot.” Listen to Code Red HERE.

Directed by GT Films (Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, Birdman) in “Super Hot” the duo matches their notable energy,

The video shows what you get from me and Bagg every time we do a song together it’s always something SUPER HOT,” says Youngsta. The Tahj Money produced track is a fiery, no-holds-barred banger about being the two being on an entirely different level of status, a level unreachable that the two have both achieved. Earlier this year Bagg told Billboard “every time we get together, it’s a movie” which is evident in the vibrant video filled with fancy bikes, beautiful women, and expensive jewelry. In his new video for “What I Did Today,” he walks you through his daily schedule of expensive errands. Director FoolWithTheCamera follows Blacc Zacc as he picks up a flooded out chain and other jewelry before heading to the studio. It’s all in a day’s work for the “Carolina Narco.”

Watch the video for “What I Did Today” here.

Known as “The Richest Rapper in the State,” the Columbia, SC native has now also successfully branded “Carolina Narco” through the release of his debut album, a title single and short film. Listen to Carolina Narco here. In a Billboard interview, Blacc Zacc explained his goals: “I want to get a Grammy, platinum records and get other artists from my city or other places on too. But I really want to show people in South Carolina that it can happen for any one of us. It’s our turn now.” The interview continued to describe the project: “With his lyrical agility and impressive storytelling skills, Zacc brings to life the tales of the gritty street life he lived firsthand in his hometown.”

The 11-track debut album featured appearances from Moneybagg Yo, Yo Gotti, Stunna 4 Vegas, and DaBaby. Heavily influenced by the street life, each track rings of authenticity while also showcasing Blacc Zacc’s superior emcee skills. The latest single, “Plain Jane,” separated himself from the average person’s life choices and the upgrades he’s able to afford. Before that, “Make a Sale” featuring Moneybagg Yo gave fans a taste of what to expect on stage when Blacc Zacc was invited to join Moneybagg Yo’s recently-postponed Time Served Tour. YFL KELVIN FEATURED IN DEF JAM’S UNDISPUTED COMPILATION, OUT MARCH 8TH

READ “HOW DEF JAM PLANS TO RECLAIM ITS HIP-HOP CROWN” ON BILLBOARD.COM

“Cleveland is on the map in a big way… YFL Kelvin is certainly in the conversation of one of the most refined sound behind his ability to channel his come-up story.”

“YFL Kelvin is an Cleveland based emcee who has been battling adversities his whole life but his musical talent is about to change everything for him.”

ABOUT YFL KELVIN

For YFL Kelvin, hip-hop is the soundtrack to his struggle. “My story is rags to riches,” the 21-year-old explains. The Cleveland native has found solace in music since his father was gunned down—in an accidental shooting—when he was just five. Kelvin began recording out of his home studio, but music was secondary to the lure of the streets, taking his rap name from his biological father and the aspirational acronym “Young, Flashy, Lifestyle.”

The street life landed him behind bars on three occasions, “My little brother is in jail. Like, everybody who I used to be with is in jail.” No matter the tribulation, it doubled as a sonic inspiration. In 2016, his beef with a former friend sparked his first major release, “Mayweather Freestyle.” “I knew I was destined then. Something good was going to play out from all the tragedy that I’ve been through.”

2018’s “NASDAQ” would be the rocket that’d catapult Kelvin beyond Cleveland, released on YouTube the hit song has generated over 300k views. The remix with Moneybagg Yo will lead Kelvin’s first project, Out of Here.
