South Korean superstar quartet BLACKPINK has announced an October 2nd release date for their massively anticipated debut album. Set for release via YG Entertainment/Interscope Records, BLACKPINK’s first full-length studio effort will feature “How You Like That” — a trap-pop anthem that surpassed a staggering 100 million streams on Spotify in under a month. Merch bundles for the album available now at BLACKPINK’s website.

Next month, BLACKPINK will share the second single from their debut album. As the group revealed last week, the single will include a surprise feature.

Released on June 26th, “How You Like That” debuted at #33 on the Billboard Hot 100, making BLACKPINK the K-pop act with the second-highest number of Hot 100 entries in chart history. The song also shot to #1 on the iTunes charts in the U.S. and 66 other countries (spending four consecutive days at #1 worldwide), and peaked at #2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 (reaching the #8 spot in the U.S.).

DaBaby releases new song and music video “NO DRIBBLE” With Stunna 4 Vegas. After ruling the Billboard Hot 100 with three top ten appearances last week, DaBaby’s commanding lead on the music industry continues. For a seventh week, the Charlotte juggernaut holds captive the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 with his bruising single “ROCKSTAR” featuring Roddy Ricch.

After much teasing on social media, the year’s newest pop duo favorite Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez have released the official music video for “Past Life.” The video was directed by GRAMMY-nominated pair Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia and produced by Iconoclast. Trevor and Selena recorded the footage themselves — under quarantine — and the incredibly production team built upon the photos using CGI to create a one of a kind surrealist experience for fans. 

An outsider might perceive Trevor Daniel’s rise as an overnight catapult of stratospheric proportions, but the Houston,TX singer has been quietly carving a career in music since his teens. From learning to produce beats in his bedroom to attracting hit-making heavyweights with his artful bridge of electro-R&B and balladic pop, Daniel created his own wave to ride to the top. When Hurricane Harvey devastated the city, then 22-year-old Daniel was forced to evacuate his family home with just music equipment in tow — returning later to find the house flooded in chest-deep water. The Weeknd Captures #1

Logging a pair of entries on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, GRAMMY® Award-winning diamond-certified Toronto R&B / Pop icon The Weeknd captures #1 on the chart with his latest single “Heartless” as “Blinding Lights” takes the #11 spot, also making him the only R&B artist to hit #1 in his first full week on the charts in 2019. “Heartless” immediately shot up to #1 making it his 4th #1 to date, and both tracks have earned over 550,000 consumption domestically, and over 1 million globally.

To date The Weeknd has notably tallied a total of 9 career Hot 100 Top 10 hits. Both “Heartless” and “Blinding Lights” are also the #1 and #2 Streaming / Sales Tracks overall in the US, making him the first R&B artist to claim both spots in 2019 with “Heartless” alone being the biggest one-week debut for an R&B song this year.

SHECK WES RELEASES NEW SINGLE & VIDEO “YKTS”

Harlem rapper Sheck Wes has premiered his long-awaited new single “YKTS. Released via Cactus Jack/ G.O.O.D. Music/ Interscope Records and accompanied by a wildly outlandish video, “YKTS” showcases the raw intensity and lo-fi but hard-hitting aesthetic that made Sheck a breakout star with his viral hit “Mo Bamba.

Directed by White Trash Tyler (a filmmaker known for his work with Travis ScottKanye West, and Kodak Black) and shot on both coasts, the “YKTS” visual finds Sheck in a variety of outrageous scenarios: racing foreign cars through the California desert, buried in an avalanche of sneakers, donning crystal chandeliers as headwear. The starkly potent track’s title phrase stands for “You Know the Scouts” — a term that Sheck coined himself and quickly made essential to the cultural lexicon.

A 21-year-old first-generation American, Sheck broke through with his triple-platinum single “Mo Bamba”: a tribute to his childhood friend and Orlando Magic draft pick Mo Bamba, and a powerful portrait of survival in the inner city. Originally released in June 2017, the song went viral in early 2018, eventually reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and amassing over 527 million streams on Spotify to date.
