South Korean superstar quartet BLACKPINK has announced an October 2nd release date for their massively anticipated debut album. Next month, BLACKPINK will share the second single from their debut album. As the group revealed last week, the single will include a surprise feature.
Released on June 26th, “How You Like That” debuted at #33 on the Billboard Hot 100, making BLACKPINK the K-pop act with the second-highest number of Hot 100 entries in chart history. The song also shot to #1 on the iTunes charts in the U.S. and 66 other countries (spending four consecutive days at #1 worldwide), and peaked at #2 on Spotify’s Global Top 50 (reaching the #8 spot in the U.S.).

Meanwhile, the mind-blowing visual for “How You Like That” became the fastest video in YouTube history to cross 10 million likes, as well as the fastest video to amass 150 million views. It also shattered the YouTube record for most views within the first 24 hours (86.3 million), and set an all-time record for the biggest YouTube premiere (with over 1.6 million peak concurrent viewers). Check out the video HERE.
Since first bursting onto the scene in 2016, BLACKPINK has redefined the possibilities of K-pop, transcending all categorization and ascending to global stardom. With their unstoppably catchy single “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” the South Korean quartet broke the record for the highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 debut by an all-female K-pop act, while its head-turning video surpassed 10 million views in just six hours and racked up 36.2 million views in one day.
Discovered by YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK is comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, LISA, and ROSÉ: four immensely charismatic vocalists, dancers, and burgeoning fashion icons. Released in 2016, their debut “SQUARE ONE” quickly proved their crossover power; in 2018, “SQUARE UP” climbed to #40 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Billboard World Albums chart. Several months after “SQUARE UP” hit the charts, YG Entertainment and Interscope Records announced a global partnership for BLACKPINK, paving the way for the group’s international breakthrough. With their EP Kill This Love arriving in April 2019, BLACKPINK further boosted their popularity by successfully completing a world tour and becoming the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella, the largest music festival in the U.S.
DaBaby releases new song and music video “NO DRIBBLE” With Stunna 4 Vegas. After ruling the Billboard Hot 100 with three top ten appearances last week, DaBaby’s commanding lead on the music industry continues. For a seventh week, the Charlotte juggernaut holds captive the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 with his bruising single “ROCKSTAR” featuring Roddy Ricch.
With a staggering 11 billion global streams across his three Interscope albums, DaBaby’s sizzling success first dates back to his 2018 effort Baby On Baby, which spent 72 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, including 43 weeks in the top 50. He immediately torpedoed back to prominence in 2019 with his Billboard 200 No. 1 album KIRK. His sophomore attempt spent 42 consecutive weeks on the Billboard 200, including 38 weeks in the top 50. Freshly VMA-nominated singer-songwriter Arizona Zervas has released his new single “NIGHTRIDER” today via Columbia Records. The song is accompanied by a dark and sultry visual that follows Zervas as he drinks Hennessy, gets tattooed, and takes his motorcycle out on a late-night robbery spree in the city with his girl, before ending up at the club with all his coveted cash. NIGHTRIDER made its broadcast premiere on MTV Live, MTVU, and on the Viacom Times Square billboard. Listen to the song HERE and watch the visual HERE.
Zervas’ previous track “24” followed “FML” which surpassed over 100 million combined streams worldwide and followed hot on the heels of “ROXANNE”. The billion-streamed smash has been certified triple-platinum, reached Top 4 on Billboard’s Hot 100, hit #1 on rhythmic radio, and received a remix featuring Swae Lee.
Arizona Zervas, who writes and engineers all of his songs himself, has steadily been releasing music since 2016 and has played more than 50 shows across the U.S. The explosive rise of “ROXANNE” began late last year when it was topping Spotify’s U.S. Top 50 chart just a few weeks after release before Zervas joined the Columbia Records family. “ROXANNE” is the first track by an unsigned, fully independent artist to top the chart since the beginning of 2017 – the earliest date on Spotify’s online archive.
After much teasing on social media, the year’s newest pop duo favorite Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez have released the official music video for “Past Life.” The video was directed by GRAMMY-nominated pair Vania Heymann and Gal Muggia and produced by Iconoclast. Trevor and Selena recorded the footage themselves — under quarantine — and the incredibly production team built upon the photos using CGI to create a one of a kind surrealist experience for fans.
An outsider might perceive Trevor Daniel’s rise as an overnight catapult of stratospheric proportions, but the Houston,TX singer has been quietly carving a career in music since his teens. From learning to produce beats in his bedroom to attracting hit-making heavyweights with his artful bridge of electro-R&B and balladic pop, Daniel created his own wave to ride to the top. When Hurricane Harvey devastated the city, then 22-year-old Daniel was forced to evacuate his family home with just music equipment in tow — returning later to find the house flooded in chest-deep water. Within a week of the calamity, he had quit his day job at a men’s suits store, newly determined to pursue music full-time.
Almost a year after the release of his debut EP, Homesick, the 25-year-old reached number one on the US Viral 50 with the project’s first single “Falling” — a track that entered Top 40 in over 20 countries, peaking at #4 on U.S. Pop Radio and #18 on Billboard Hot 100. Trevor’s ethereal vocals over a trap-infused downbeat already primed listeners for the repeat button, but it was Daniel’s lyrical prowess that sparked their imagination. Soon, pop sensation Blackbear and R&B darling Summer Walker sought to remix the track. Trevor’s “Falling” went on to become RIAA Certified 2x Platinum. Now at the helm of a debut major release, Nicotine (Alamo/Interscope Records), the young artist is seeking to solidify his position as a mainstay music maker.

Harlem rapper Sheck Wes has premiered his long-awaited new single “YKTS.” Released via Cactus Jack/ G.O.O.D. Music/ Interscope Records and accompanied by a wildly outlandish video, “YKTS” showcases the raw intensity and lo-fi but hard-hitting aesthetic that made Sheck a breakout star with his viral hit “Mo Bamba.”
Watch the video for “YKTS” HERE.
Directed by White Trash Tyler (a filmmaker known for his work with Travis Scott, Kanye West, and Kodak Black) and shot on both coasts, the “YKTS” visual finds Sheck in a variety of outrageous scenarios: racing foreign cars through the California desert, buried in an avalanche of sneakers, donning crystal chandeliers as headwear. The starkly potent track’s title phrase stands for “You Know the Scouts” — a term that Sheck coined himself and quickly made essential to the cultural lexicon.
A 21-year-old first-generation American, Sheck broke through with his triple-platinum single “Mo Bamba”: a tribute to his childhood friend and Orlando Magic draft pick Mo Bamba, and a powerful portrait of survival in the inner city. Originally released in June 2017, the song went viral in early 2018, eventually reaching #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 and amassing over 527 million streams on Spotify to date. In addition, the New York Times featured “Mo Bamba” in its “Diary of a Song” series, with Sheck appearing alongside his collaborators 16yrold and Take A Daytrip. Check it out HERE.
“Mo Bamba” appears on Sheck’s widely acclaimed full-length debut MUDBOY, which arrived in October of last year. Along with hitting the top 20 on the Billboard 200 chart, MUDBOY landed on the Top 50 Albums of 2018 list from on Pitchfork (who also hailed it as a “a strong and holistic statement” and “the rare project from an über-hyped rap prospect that actually delivers on its promise”).
