POORSTACY - “Nothing Left” ft. Travis Barker

POORSTACY – “Nothing Left” ft. Travis Barker

Modern day rockstar, POORSTACY, releases his new single “Nothing Left” featuring Blink 182’s Travis Barker, out now via 10K Projects. “Nothing Left” arrives on the heels of his latest single “Love Spells,” and his appearance on the Bill & Ted Face the Music soundtrack. With an energetic and irresistible beat, “Nothing Left” asserts POORSTACY as a rising force in the genre. “Nothing Left” is POORSTACY’s second single with Travis Barker and will certainly not be the last. The pair plans to release a full project together in 2021.

Growing up on a diet of punk, metal, and hip hop, rising artist POORSTACY is a sum of disparate influences. The 21-year-old singer, rapper and guitarist spent his formative years performing shows in small venues around his hometown of Palm Beach, Florida: “There’s a real metal scene out here. Lots of punk rock, gothic stuff. I’ve chosen to actually make music based on what I grew up around.” Combining the power chords and angst of punk with the 808s and half-sung melodies of modern hip hop, POORSTACY quickly gained the attention of record label 10K Projects, who signed the young artist in early 2019. With lyrics often focused on themes of isolation and anxiety, POORSTACY’s work feels both intimate and universal, and has led to collaborations with multi-Platinum selling producer Nick Mira (Juice WRLD, Post Malone) and, most recently, Blink-182’s Travis Barker.

Since the beginning of his music making, POORSTACY’s influences have remained eclectic, ranging from Slipknot, Billy Idol, Earl Sweatshirt and Flatbush Zombies. Citing legendary Z-Boys skateboarder, Stacy Peralta, as the inspiration behind his artist name, he notes, “Stacy Peralta himself was not shown a lot of attention at the start, but he ended up being one of the biggest legends in skateboarding in the end. I always loved the idea of that, of doing your own thing and having it pay off.” Also citing films like V For Vendetta, Rob Zombie’s remake of Halloween, and Trainspotting as inspiration, a core tenet of POORSTACY’s songwriting is drawing metaphors from unlikely sources.

His debut album, The Breakfast Club, was released at the beginning of 2020, a nod to the 1985 cult classic. “The album was written based on pure instinct and raw emotion,” he reflects, “I want people to understand themselves by hearing their feelings put into words through me.” Featuring labelmate iann dior, The Breakfast Club was a hip hop/punk record which reflected his South Florida upbringing and proved his ability to create a large cohesive project. With punk and metal-heavy tracks like “Hotel” and “Afraid,” POORSTACY shows off his range and his fearlessness as a songwriter.

BLINK-182 DROP TIMELY SONG AND VIDEO “QUARANTINE” SCORE TWO MTV VMA NOMINATIONS

blink-182 – Quarantine

Grammy-nominated California rock heavyweights, blink-182, have dropped their brand-new track “Quarantine” – listen HERE. This relevant and timely song features strong drums and killer guitars matched with angsty vocals to stress just how hard we all have been hit by this time spent in isolation and social distancing. Alongside the song comes a music video that intermixes the lyrics and raw footage of the band shot on iPhones – watch HERE.

“This song is about the sadness, confusion, anger, and frustration we are all experiencing right now.  I hope that everybody is safe and that we can get through this very soon. Can’t wait to see you all on the other side.” says Mark Hoppus. Travis Barker adds “The song was inspired by the quarantine and the crappy punk rock music we have loved to play since day one.  All the drums are one take and I even sang some backup vocals. Mark sounds more pissed off then I’ve ever heard him, and I really like it.”

Alongside the brand-new song, blink-182 have also scored two MTV VMA nominations for “Best Rock” and “Best Music Video From Home” for their fan-driven montage to their song “Happy Days.” Fans of the band can vote now at vma.mtv.com.

blink-182’s latest album NINE is out now on Columbia Records and includes singles “I Really Wish I Hated You,” “Darkside,” “Happy Days,” “Generational Divide” and “Blame It On My Youth.”

Since their humble beginnings in 1992 in San Diego, blink-182 have sold over fifty million albums worldwide and rocked audiences around the globe, becoming one of the defining and inspirational rock bands of their generation. blink-182 is Mark Hoppus (vocals/bass), Travis Barker (drums), and Matt Skiba (vocals/guitar).

The prolific artist’s newest single “Choose Life” follows up his debut album, The Breakfast Club, less than four months after its release. Inspired by the famous monologue from the UK film Trainspotting, POORSTACY’s “Choose Life” takes “the monologue and puts it in [his] own voice and [his] own words as a way to tell people to not give up and to choose life instead.”

The platinum-certified Denver-based artist Nick Miller—known professionally as ILLENIUM—reenergizes his chart-topping third full-length album, ASCEND, with 24 remixes by an all-star cast of collaborators and remixers. For the project, he enlisted everyone from Snakehips, Breathe Carolina, Blanke, and Ryan Hemsworth to Tiësto, Travis Barker, 3LAU, Slander, and William Black.

Last week, he previewed the project by sharing “In Your Arms” (with X Ambassadors) [Alan Walker Remix]. Adding another dimension, Walker blessed the song with bursts of energy and dancefloor-ready gloss. ASCEND continues to reach new benchmarks. “Good Things Fall Apart” with Jon Bellion just achieved platinum status as certified by the RIAA. Meanwhile, total album streams near the 1 billion-mark, eclipsing 946 million streams and counting thus far. Additionally, he recently dropped “In Your Arms” (with X Ambassadors) – Stripped. Breaking the song down to its essence, EDM.com called it, “a poignant rework of the original track that displays the classically-trained side of both artists,” while Billboard posited, “at the core of the original lies a full-fledged wedding anthem.” Dancing Astronaut summed it up best as “heartfelt.”

Making chart moves again, his recent collaboration with Excision, “Feel Something” [feat. I Prevail], soared to the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart, marking his third Top 10 entry. In addition, the track has posted up over 4 million Spotify streams and counting. ILLENIUM has quietly blossomed into one of the biggest musical forces in the world. As of 2020, his cumulative streams eclipse 2 billion in total as he regularly averages 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

iann dior – Sick And Tired

iann dior has released a new song and video “Sick And Tired” featuring Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker, out now on 10K Projects. Produced by Omer Fedi (24kGoldn, Ella Mai, Trevor Daniel) and Travis Barker, “Sick And Tired” will feature on iann dior’s upcoming EP, I’m Gone, out this May. Produced by Noan Riddle and Infinity Studios, and debuted this morning by Complex, check out the Mooch directed video for “Sick And Tired” HERE.

“Sick And Tired” arrives on the heels of iann’s headlining nationwide ‘Industry Plant Tour’, which kicked off January 15 in Santa Ana, and wrapped up on February 20 with a sold-out show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles. iann released his debut album Industry Plant, in November 2019 – the project has since garnered over 190 million Spotify streams and over 60 million SoundCloud plays. The album includes the infectious hit singles “gone girl” featuring Trippie Redd, “Strings” featuring Gunna, and “Darkside” featuring Travis Barker.

Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Corpus Christi, iann found instant success with the first song he ever wrote. “I was in high school and my friends told me to make a song because they knew I was good at writing,” he remembers. Despite his lack of experience, the track earned 10,000 plays in a week, all through word-of-mouth. iann then began putting out a song a week, drawing more and more listeners, and eventually catching the ear of Internet Money founder Taz Taylor.

After arriving in L.A., iann started working with producer Nick Mira, and they went on to release “Cutthroat” together in February 2019. Within a month of its release, “Cutthroat” had amassed over 13 million streams on SoundCloud, and iann began to gain a major buzz for his moody and melodic brand of lo-fi hip-hop. iann’s rapid rise on SoundCloud brought him to the attention of 10K Projects who immediately signed him and released his debut mixtape nothing’s ever good enough in April2019. The mixtape features the single “Emotions”— a heavy-hearted but deeply infectious track that racked up three million plays in just a month. A year later and the track has over 98 million plays on Spotify and continues to grow.

In discussing his process, iann reveals that the dreamy and fluid feel of his music has much to do with his purely instinctive creative approach. “Anytime I hear a beat that I love, it’ll bring out the story I want to tell,” he says. “I’ll start humming the melody and the words will follow that—it’s all just whatever comes out of my head right in the moment.” At the same time, iann’s lyrics mine inspiration from the reflective, narrative-based songwriting of artists like J. Cole. “The whole reason I started making music was J. Cole,” iann points out. “He showed me that I could use songs to tell my own story, just like he uses his songs to tell his story.”

SICK AND TIRED” FT. MACHINE GUN KELLY AND TRAVIS BARKER

Maggie Lindemann x Travis Barker “Friends Go”

On Maggie Lindemann‘s latest single, ‘Friends Go,’ the 20-year-old treads the line between modernist and throwback. The starlet embraces this duality with the help of Blink 182’s Travis Barker by putting a punk twist on the recent single which explores feelings of disconnect at a time in which technology has made people closer than ever before.

“I wanted to do a version of friends go that had a bit more of a punk feel because that’s my favorite type of music,” Maggie explained. “When I first recorded the song, I wanted to do multiple versions. I feel like the song is very versatile and wanted to kinda explore different genres! I love the Travis version, it’s one of my favorite songs I’ve done.”

Maggie Lindemann has been adventurously investigating her sound and identity since breaking through with the global pop smash ‘Pretty Girl.’ From that track’s laser-sharp pop focus to the darker, revealingly vulnerable recent tracks ‘Human’ and ‘Would I,’ Maggie has demonstrated a brave desire to tackle bold new ideas while amassing over a billion streams.

“Friends Go” commences Maggie’s build-up to her first full-length project which is set to be released later in the year. The video for the song garnered over one million streams in 48 hours. Maggie has begun to emerge as an icon of her generation, with over a billion audio streams, 175 million views at YouTube, 6 million followers across her social platforms, and an international array of Platinum awards. Most recently touring stateside with Sabrina Carpenter she’s also performed with Khalid and Troye Sivan.

Maggie has been further celebrated in the world of fashion. She launched her single ‘Obsessed’ with an innovative partnership with the make-up brand Pat McGrath and recently teamed up with Skinny Dip for a sunglasses collaboration. She’s also unveiled her own merch line in the shape of SWIXXZ, which is now being sold in stores by skate apparel chain, Zumiez.
