KATY PERRY – NTEOTW

After years of being mistaken for one another by fans, Katy Perry and Zooey Deschanel find that even extraterrestrials have trouble telling them apart in the official video for “Not the End of the World,” which premiered today on Vevo. While on maternity leave, Katy set the concept in motion, suggesting that the acclaimed actress-musician step in for her. Female directing duo Similar But Different (The Chainsmokers, Liam Payne) rose to the challenge, concocting a tale of mistaken identity with nods to sci-fi films and Katy’s “California Gurls” video. Acting on orders to abduct Katy, two aliens accidentally beam up Zooey instead. Can Zooey pull off a Katy Perry concert and save Planet Earth from self-destruction? Watch HERE to find out.

“Not the End of the World” is a track from Katy’s new album, SMILE, which has sold over 1.25 million adjusted albums, with nearly two billion combined streams to date. Download / stream SMILE HERE

Katy performed a medley of “Never Really Over,” ”Not the End of the World” and ”Roar” at the T Mall Double 11 Gala and teamed up with Darius Rucker for a soulful rendition of “Only Love” at the American Music Awards. She also appeared in “The Disney Holiday Singalong,” which aired on ABC. View her segment, which features “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” and “Cozy Little Christmas,” HERE

Katy recently came together with Coca-Cola to reimagine “Resilient” – a song from SMILE. Partnering with critically acclaimed DJ/producer Tiësto and introducing the vocal stylings of rising star Aitana, the remix is an uplifting, inclusive anthem for our times. Listen to “Resilient” feat. Aitana (Tiësto Remix) HERE.

The Los Angeles Times hailed SMILE as “still quintessentially Perry: buoyant, playful, neon pop” in a recent Sunday Calendar cover story. Rolling Stone said, “Katy Perry gets back to basics” with Smile and, praising the title track, noted, “Over an upbeat, dance-driven groove to match the positive vibes of the lyrics, Perry extols the virtue of perseverance.” US Weekly said, “‘Only Love’ is a stunning, finger-snapping midtempo about moving on from mistakes.” USA Today observed, “Perry’s newfound joy and contentment come through on much of ‘Smile,’ which contains some of her catchiest and most carefree songs since 2013’s ‘Prism.’” RIFF Magazine declared, “Smile is the album that meets the moment of the age we live in. A fitting celebration of strength, pain and individuality under dire circumstances.”

About Katy Perry

Since Katy Perry’s Capitol Records debut in 2008 with One of the Boys, she has racked up a cumulative 50 billion streams alongside worldwide sales of over 48 million adjusted albums and 135 million tracks with her albums One of the Boys, Teenage Dream, PRISM and Witness. She is one of only five artists in history to have topped 100 million certified units with their digital singles – and the first-ever Capitol Records recording artist to join the elite RIAA 100 Million Certified Songs club.

Aside from being one of the best-selling musical artists of all time, Katy is an active advocate of many philanthropic causes. In 2013, Katy was appointed a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador as a result of her commitment to improving the lives of children worldwide. About Doja Cat

Born and raised in L.A., Doja Cat made her first upload to Soundcloud in 2013 at just 16-years-old. She developed a knack for music by studying piano and dance as a kid and listening to the likes of Busta Rhymes, Erykah Badu, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and more. Soon, she went from obsessing over Catwoman (the Halle Berry version) to “crate digging” on YouTube. The budding talent taught herself Logic and how to compose on a midi controller.

Signed to RCA during 2014, she has released her Purrr! EP and followed with her debut album Amala in spring 2018, but it was her August 2018 release of “Mooo!” which catapulted her into the mainstream and was met with critical acclaim. With co-signs from Chance The Rapper, Katy Perry, Chris Brown and J.Cole among others.

2019 was a big year for Doja, proving she is a mainstay artist with the release of tracks like “Tia Tamera” ft. Rico Nasty and her breakout hit “Juicy” ft. Tyga which appears on her sophomore album Hot Pink, released in November. She made her late night debut performance of the track on Late Night with Seth Meyers. She was also named the iHeart Radio “On The Verge” artist, with “Juicy” reaching #1 on the Rhythm radio chart and top 10 at Urban. Hot Pink has received rave reviews in the press and continues to be recognized as her strongest work to date with over 2 billion streams and video views combined.

2020 kicked off another amazing year for the hybrid artist with the success of her single “Say So” continuing to climb the charts. She delivered electrifying performances of the track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Voice and The Late Late Show with James Corden. The track is RIAA certified 3x platinum, reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 at Top 40 radio for 5 consecutive weeks, reached #1 at Rhythm radio, has over 216 million video views, and over 30 million Tik Tok videos created. The track has been streamed over 1 billion times worldwide. The follow up “Like That” ft. Gucci Mane is currently climbing the radio charts sitting inside the Top 15 at Top 40 radio and reached Top 5 at Rhythm. Doja was also the first Vevo LIFT artist to be announced for 2020.

Adding to her accolades, she was nominated for 2 BET Awards, 4 MTV VMA Awards, 2 E! People’s Choice Awards and 4 American Music Awards this year. Most recently she delivered career defining performances at the Billboard Music Awards and the VMAs where she also took home the award for Best New Artist, her first major award win. Since then she has also won the Best New Artist Award at the 2020 EMAs where she performed a rock version of her hit “Say So.” Most recently she took him the AMAs for Best New Artist and Best Female Soul/R&B Artist.

Live, Doja has played numerous festivals and live shows including Rap Caviar Live Miami, Posty Fest, Day n Vegas, Rolling Loud LA.

Morgan Wallen – Dangerous: The Double Album

MORGAN WALLEN UNLEASHES TRIPLE THREAT PREVIEW OF DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE ALBUM

HOTLY ANTICIPATED SOPHOMORE ALBUM PRE-ORDER LIVE NOW

Big Loud Records’ CMA New Artist of the Year Morgan Wallen barrels forward full speed ahead this week, launching the pre-order for his highly-anticipated sophomore album Dangerous: The Double Album and dropping a triple shot of brand-new music today.

The trio – “Somebody’s Problem” (writers: Wallen, Rodney Clawson, Jacob Durrett, Ernest Keith Smith), “Still Goin Down” (writers: Wallen, Michael Hardy, Ryan Vojtesak), and “Livin’ The Dream” (writers: Wallen, Ben Burgess, Jacob Durrett, Michael Hardy) – continues to crack open the broad range of Wallen’s 30-track double dip.

“Somebody’s Problem” is a twisty, deceptively sweet love song, where “Still Goin Down” adds to Wallen’s collection of signature, Tennessee-pride-riddled, hometown anthems, touting the lifestyle he knows from experience. “Livin’ The Dream” is Wallen’s most self-reflective slow burner to date, gripping from the start and brutally honest.

LISTEN TO “SOMEBODY’S PROBLEM,” “STILL GOIN DOWN,” AND “LIVIN’ THE DREAM

Following fan favorites “This Bar” and “Heartless,” and current singles “More Than My Hometown” and “7 Summers,” the Joey Moi-produced trifecta of new music builds on the sonic foundation laid by Wallen’s PLATINUM #1 debut album, If I Know Me, combining modern production styles with traditional Country lyricism and instrumentation, exuding “an authenticity fans can feel” (PEOPLE).

PRE-ORDER DANGEROUS: THE DOUBLE ALBUM HERE

This weekend, Wallen is nominated for two American Music Awards, Favorite Male Artist – Country and Favorite Album Country (If I Know Me), and performed an exclusive version of his verging #1 single “More Than My Hometown” for Xfinity in celebration of the big night.

Releasing January 8, Dangerous: The Double Album is already becoming one of 2021’s most exciting new releases, with Billboard anticipating, “if Wallen’s sophomore LP sounds like ‘More Than My Hometown,’ country music is likely going to have a new superstar.”

KEEP UP WITH MORGAN WALLEN

DJ Snake ft. Selena Gomez, Ozuna & Cardi B

The official video for “Taki Taki” by DJ Snake featuring Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, directed by Colin Tilley, is out now. A sneak peak of the video first aired tonight in a commercial spot in partnership with YouTube Music during the American Music Awards.

Watch the video HERE.

Currently the most-streamed song in the world on Spotify for a week straight now, “Taki Taki” marks the second global number one record for the French DJ/producer (his first being “Lean On” ft. , his 2015 collaboration with Major Lazer), and a first number one for Selena Gomez, Ozuna, and Cardi B, who is the first female rapper to top the chart.

In addition, “Taki Taki” has peaked as the #2 song in the world on iTunes, and reached #1 on iTunes in 25 countries. Meanwhile, it’s also peaked as the #1 trending video on YouTube in the U.S.

The worldwide smash success of “Taki Taki” was boosted by Spotify’s recent launch of Global X — a new playlist full of rhythmic crossover hits from cultures around the world. Spotify accompanied the playlist’s launch with a unique vertical video for the bilingual, Latin-music-infused “Taki Taki,” which the platform hails as “a true mix of cultures.”

DJ Snake’s 2016 hit “Let Me Love You” ft. Justin Bieber reached a billion streams on Spotify. That achievement makes him only the fifth artist in Spotify history (along with Drake, Ed Sheeran, Justin Bieber, and The Chainsmokers) to have two songs earn a billion streams each on the platform. DJ Snake first hit the billion-stream mark with “Lean On” ft. MØ, his 2015 collaboration with Major Lazer.

Having toured the world this summer, DJ Snake will return to the U.S. this fall for two very special shows. This Halloween season, the world-class producer will headline sold-out dates at New York City’s Avant Gardner (on October 26) and L.A.’s legendary Shrine (on October 31).

With its worldly rhythms and infectious energy, “Taki Taki” continues DJ Snake’s track record of global hits, from “Turn Down for What” to “Let Me Love You” to the club record of the summer: his India-inspired “Magenta Riddim. “Taki Taki” arrives ahead of DJ Snake’s forthcoming album, which is set to drop soon.
