Lady London is one artist that you will want to keep on your radar as we dive into 2022.

About Lady London

New Jersey-born and Los-Angeles based rapper Lady London is known for her rhythmic lyricism. While her mother was Jamaican and Father Trinidadian, her childhood was divided between East Orange, New Jersey and the Bronx, New York. Hip hop culture has been an integral part of her life, as her uncle was Chino XL, and she grew up inspired by artists like JAY-Z, Lil Kim and Whitney Houston. In college, London was on a pre-med path, but still expressed her love for the arts while putting on successful poetry shows. In 2018, she posted one of her poetry videos online, and the video went viral with 8-million plus views. After London obtained her Master of Science from Keck School of Medicine at USC, she also was accepted into the school’s medical program.

Ultimately, London put her dream of medical school in the past to chase her dream of music. She talks about the decision, stating, “everything changed, I figured I could always go back to school. Convincing my West Indian family was very interesting. They didn’t understand why I was willing to give up everything I had been working towards. I knew I had to do music, though. You can’t run from destiny.”

Moreover, London’s career has taken off since 2018. This artist has generated millions of views online with her own original music. Her single released in 2021, “Money Over,” accumulated 500,000-plus views on YouTube as the one and only Cardi B described London as “the most slept on” to social media. London serves as a SAVAGE ambassador for Rihanna’s FENTY. Giving a performance in support of Black Lives Matter at the BET Awards, London caught the attention of many, eventually becoming co-signed by Diddy and Revolt TV.

“There are multiple levels to me,” Lady London clarifies. “I’m not one-dimensional. I really take my craft seriously. I consider rap to be an artform—not a trend. I’ve studied cadences, timing, breath control, double and triple entendres, and syllables. It almost breaks down to an exact science. I pay attention to verbiage, semantics, and diction. I’m a connoisseur of rhythmical composition in its purest form. I’m just a boss.”

Lady London continues to prove herself in the rap world as a force to be reckoned with.

Q&A WITH RARRI DREAM

Rarri Dream’s album, Foreign the Speed, is getting a lot of traffic after he dropped it in August of 2020. He has artist’s Lil Jah and Hoodrich Pablo Juan featured on Foreign the Speed. The production on the album is amazing with the likes of Black Mayo, Chiveer, and Solo Cam. Songs like Televise, Get Paid and Keep it Going put you in a joyful mood with its melodic sounds. Rarri has just now gained recognition but he has been rapping ever since he was 14 in his home studio. 2021 he is planning to take over the rap game and make music with other mainstream artists. He shot the music video for the song Get Paid on the album last year in October. Everyone should be on the lookout for Rarri to do some big things soon.

Q- Can you tell us about your upbringing and how it influenced your sound? Siblings?

RD -My upbringing was cool growing up in Lithonia
In the early part of my life, I was influenced by Mike Jones T.I and Lil Wayne. My sibling is just my lil sister she’s the only one.

Q -What inspired your latest song?

FR -My latest single is called “Show it” featuring Yung Bino what inspired it was when he sent the hook back and I see he was talking about strippers and money so, I just thought to go crazy on it cause that’s my vibe.

Q- If you had an opportunity to work with a major label, would you ink the deal? Why?

RD -I would take the deal because if you think about it major labels give you so many opportunities that being independent doesn’t and, people don’t understand that

Q- How would you best describe your style? Favorite designers?

RD- Very colorful but sometimes dark because I like wearing leather jeans on some rockstar shit, but really, I just like any designer brands with quality.

Q- Do you consider yourself a sneakerhead? If so, what’s your go to pair?

RD- Kinda I mostly wear designer shoes though my go to is the balenciaga track shoes. I also sometimes wear Air Force 1’s.

Q- Can you describe your writing process?

RD- I don’t write I just freestyle I been recording so long that I’m just used to it coming off the top of my head.

Q- What’s the number one thing people notice about you when you enter a room?

RD- My style people often ask what’s that you’re wearing? Or damn bro, you dripping lol.

Q- If you were on a deserted island, what would you bring?

RD- I would bring like 3 of my favorite outfits a bunch of food I like, a weapon to protect myself and a bad ass girl.

Q- Are you involved in your community? Can you elaborate on your last philanthropic endeavor?

RD- Not at the moment, I’m still fairly young so I’m not really into that yet, but I will soon though.

Q- If you could offer someone advice trying to break into music industry, what would say?

RD- I would say invest in yourself because the more you put in, the more you’re going to get back from it.

Q- Dream collaboration? Hobbies?

RD- Some of my dream collaborations would be with Lil Wayne, Young Thug, and Drake to name a few. My hobbies are when I’m not recording, I like to play video games or go shopping.

A lively verbal showcase, the single finds the two slick MCs spitting dazzling verses that spiral around an airy West Coast beat. Listen here and watch the video here via Capitol Records. Blessed with a slinky voice and unteachable confidence, ex-basketball star Dev proves once again he’s ready to drive his talents to the top of the rap game.

Day 1 Starter (feat. Remble) is an athletic track: Remble grapples with the beat like a wrestler, Dev floats over it like a boxer on his toes. And when they trade bars, it’s an all-out brawl. He talkin’ too loud, I let my 40 bark him, Dev sneers. Remble fires back, You wanna fade, my chopper Ronda Rousey. Dev uses bobs and weaves through his trademark basketball references, lending the track that fun, head-spinning energy that informs all of his most infectious songs. In the video, directed by Nick MedinaDev and Remble hang on a quiet block, demonstrating their cool chemistry and quiet confidence as they play dice and flex.

Day 1 Starter (feat. Remble) follows Dev’s recent singles, Mario Chalmersand Tonight, the latest installments in a year of overwhelming success for the 17-year-old. Much of his acclaim has followed his viral single Tooka, which launched him from local stardom to the national spotlight and earned him a deal with Capitol Records. Day 1 Starter (feat. Remble) is another worthy follow-up to his hit’s boundless energy, a sign of a future that gets brighter by the day.

About GirlzLuhDev:

GirlzLuhDev is a rapper, singer, ex-basketball star, and quite possibly America’s next great hitmaker. Oh, and he’s a senior in high school. The 17-year-old artist from California’s Inland Empire is a year into making music but has already landed a viral hit, the raunchy but blissed out Tooka, which scored over two million SoundCloud streams in 10 months. Supported by simple beats and rich keys, he parlays his youthful energy into a bright blend of bars, warbled melodies, and ad libs that sounds like smack talk beamed down from a distant planet. It’s sunbaked West Coast street rap meets the wonky charm of a kid with nothing to lose. Signed to Capitol Records, Dev has his sights set on the national spotlight.

LOS ANGELES RAPPER DOM KENNEDY
ANNOUNCES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FORTHCOMING

STUDIO ALBUM “FROM THE WESTSIDE WITH LOVE III”

One of Los Angeles most sought out rappers, Dom Kennedy announces his release of From the Westside With Love III which follows the success off of his first and second release of From the Westside With Love.

“From the Westside With Love” originally dropped as a mixtape in March 2010 and later in June 2011 came “From the Westside with Love II” which is the debut studio album for Dom Kennedy. The album features artists from Asher Roth, Mikey Rocks, Polyester, Big K.R.I.T., Casey Veggies, and Schoolboy Q. The album charted #19 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and #15 Billboard’s Independent Albums.

Dom Kennedy has taken over the rap game by storm by working with acts such as Kehlani, Big Sean, Hit-Boy, Nipsey Hussle, and more. With a forthcoming album set to release this Spring, Dom Kennedy is set to dominate 2021.

“When I decided to release the first From the Westside with Love in March 2010, I wanted to prove to myself that I could make a body of work that would reach way beyond just my neighborhood in Los Angeles,” says Dom Kennedy. “It was a gut check for me to show my love for the genre of rap and what I could possibly bring to it. A year later we dropped “From the Westside with Love II” which many believe to be one of my best efforts. At this point in my career, I’m still in love with making great rap music. I decided to cement my true legacy with another gift, From the Westside with Love III.

About Dom Kennedy:

Born in Los Angeles, CA, Dom Kennedy is an artist with a fiercely independent streak. With a style that pairs simple lyricism with a knack for narration, Kennedy took inspiration from rap legends such as DJ Quick, Tupac, and the Notorious B.I.G. Kennedy made his debut in 2008 with “25th Hour”, “From the Westside With Love” in 2010, and “The Original Dom Kennedy” in 2011. By this point, he had begun touring across the U.S. and internationally, playing a show in Djibouti, Africa. Not being able to find a fair deal to suit him, the talented MC instead started his own label, The OPM Company (Other People’s Money), which he has used to release his own albums as well as for others. “From the Westside With Love II” arrived in 2011 and was a success, hitting the top 100 of the Billboard 200 Album Chart. Kennedy shortly after released “The Yellow Album” with the lead single “My Type Of party”, this mixtape is regarded as an all-time favorite worldwide. From Kennedy himself, “my music has always been about evolution, results may vary but I have tried to remain responsible to what I was feeling at the time. I wouldn’t have lasted any amount of time without the fans, so I thank them. OPM till it’s over.”
