With 10 tracks, “Multiplica Mixtape” is a multifaceted and multidimensional music project that brings together 19 artists from 8 different countries including Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, the Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Spain and Venezuela. Primarily focusing on Trap and Drill, this mixtape incorporates several genres and has a distinct musical and visual tone. The album showcases the talent and great hits that came out of the Multiplica collective.

Numbers like “La Familia,” featuring Lennis Rodríguez, Jey Blessing, Jay Oc, Fufu, Mathew, Puri, Felp 22 give the mixtape a sense of cohesion, and as the song title states, it’s a family affair. On “Mujeres y Petas,” Kidd Keo and Elpatron970 effortlessly spit urgent bars over a blown out drill beats. On Jey Blessing y Maki Vaez’s “BEXXAKEO,” the oft-imitated sounds of reggaeton take a singular approach – separating them from the countless and seemingly endless stream of watered-down reggaeton offerings occupying the modern pop landscape.

“Mujeres y Petas” by Kidd Keo and Elpatron970 is song #7 on the Mixtape, and it is one of the most outstanding collaborations of the album. This song features Keo doing what Keo does best. Sometimes it seems that with every word he is cutting off your arms or legs, making every note feel almost effortless, as if one were floating. And Elpatron970 works as a kind of backbone necessary for the song to have a healthy life. It is the foundation of the house. The sofa that makes your living room look like a home and not an office.

The concept behind this unique mixtape explores many themes central to the human experience. “Multiplica Mixtape” encompasses family, brotherhood, unity, and prosperity. The project was born out of a Warner Music Latina musical retreat conducted in the Dominican Republic in June 2021. As Latin music is now popular in the U.S. and enjoys domestic and international mainstream attention, “Multiplica Mixtape” is embracing this momentum and paving the way for other collaborative projects of its kind.

J. Balvin × Mae Miller × Neiked × Polo G. – Better Days

Colombian superstar J. Balvin has joined NEIKED, Mae Muller, and Polo G for an irresistible update of “Better Days”—the smash single that shot to #23 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month, with nearly 300 million streams worldwide. Hailed as one of the “best songs of 2021” by the Los Angeles Times, “Better Days” is the brainchild of artist duo NEIKED and centers on an intoxicating vocal performance from Mae, the fast-rising British singer/songwriter recently named a Billboard Chartbreaker. Listen to by NEIKED x Mae Muller x J Balvin (feat. Polo G) HERE.

On the dynamic new version of “Better Days,” J Balvin drops in after the first chorus and delivers a swaggering verse in Spanish. Flaunting his super-smooth flow and undeniable charisma, Reggaeton’s Global Ambassador adds a powerful new energy to the dance-ready track. With its carefree collision of bouncy beats and shimmering grooves, “Better Days” features production from NEIKED (the Swedish artist duo whose hit single “Sexual” has surpassed 600 million streams globally and cracked the Top 10 in 11 countries).

“J Balvin is a true renaissance artist, and our records are always about finding that fresh nuance,” says NEIKED.” His style melts perfectly together with the uniqueness of Mae and Polo and we were thrilled to have him join the song. This is just one of the many pieces fans can expect from the coming NEIKED puzzle.”

Says Mae Muller, “I’m a huge J Balvin fan and he killed this! I went to Primavera Sound in 2019 and saw him live so it’s just a stunning full circle moment for me to have him be a part of “Better Days.'”

Released in September, the original version of “Better Days” debuted at #57 on the Billboard Hot 100, amassed over 65 million streams in just five days, earned Top 10 charting across Spotify and Apple Music, emerged as a Top 5 trending sound on both TikTok and Snap, and recently held steady as the #1 most added song on Pop radio for two consecutive weeks. Meanwhile, its fantastically retro video has garnered over 12 million views to date.

“Better Days” is the first of NEIKED’s highly anticipated releases that follow the duo’s long seen success. Already well recognized hit-makers who have collaborated with Nile Rodgers, EARTHGANG, Muni Long, 24kGoldn, X Ambassadors, and writers Freddy Wexler (Justin Bieber, Kanye West), Jason Evigan (Dua Lipa, Madonna), Justin Tranter (Ariana Grande, Julia Michaels) and Albin Nedler (Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato) 2022 will see the multi-instrumentalists perform on their biggest stages to date.

About J Balvin

“Reggaeton’s Global Ambassador”—5-time LATIN GRAMMY winner J Balvin is now one of the Top 10 streaming artists globally on Spotify, regardless of language, and has developed a legion of fans worldwide. Hailed by Billboard as “the biggest breakout act Latin music has seen in many years” and Pitchfork as “the face of modern Reggaeton,” Balvin is leading a second generation of Musica Urbana stars that have propelled Latin music to an unprecedented global embrace. His latest album, JOSE, arrived on the heels of an eventful summer, following the release of chart-dominating singles “Que Mas Pues?” featuring Argentinian singer Maria Becerra, “Que Locura,” and “In Da Getto” featuring Skrillex. With his song “Un Nota” with Sech recently topping the Latin airplay charts, J Balvin officially landed his 33rd #1 at Latin Airplay, more than anyone else in history, cementing him as Latin music’s biggest success story of the decade. With his music and impact on the culture, Balvin has secured himself as not only a leader of Reggaeton but as a torchbearer of the new state of Latin music by continuously expanding the limits of the genre and paving the way for “la nueva escuela.”

About Mae Muller

The “Better Days” update arrives as Mae gears up for her highly anticipated debut U.S. shows, a three-date run with stops in New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles this March (see below for the full list of dates and venues, and purchase tickets HERE. Featuring special guests, Mae’s first-ever U.S. performances will be followed by a rescheduled U.K. tour in April. Known for her intimate yet high-energy live set, Mae has previously sold out a U.K. headlining tour and performed for massive crowds at festivals like Reading & Leeds, Latitude, and Sundown Festival.

Recently named a YouTube Trending Artist on the Rise, Mae made her U.S. primetime television debut by performing “Better Days” on The Voice in November, then took the stage at “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest” the following month. With her radiant vocals and magnetic presence, she made major waves in 2020 with her much-acclaimed Capitol Records debut EP, no one else, not even you: an eight-track project built on her fearlessly honest yet free-spirited approach to songwriting. Created with producers/co-writers like Rick Nowels (Madonna, Lana Del Rey), Jimmy Napes (Sam Smith, Alicia Keys), Skyler Stonestreet (Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa), and Kenny Beats (FKA twigs, Ed Sheeran), the EP brings Mae’s raw vulnerability to an immaculately composed but unpredictable brand of pop music.

SPOTLIGHT ON MARÍA BECERRA

María Becerra is a tour de force. The Argentinian songstress, known as “la nena de Argentina” released her second EP in 2021, embracing and experimenting with hip-hop, reggaeton, trap, R&B, salsa, and more to craft her new sound. Described as a “leading voice in Argentina’s urban pop movement,” Becerra is a star on the rise. As the first Latin artist signed to indie American record label 300 Entertainment and with a Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist pending, it is clear despite her successes already, she is only just beginning. She sat down to answer a few questions for 360 Magazine including how she got her start in music, the story behind her nickname, her influences, and what to expect from her in 2022.

How would you describe your style of music?

I believe I have a very melodic and versatile musical style. In the studio, we always try to ensure that each song has a varied melodic line, with different degrees of nuances. Above all, we aspire to make a melody that sounds familiar and enjoyable to the public. I have experimented with several genres and in all of them, I was able to find how to make my own style fit within them. I hear they call me ‘the Queen of Weeping,” which makes me laugh. I have many songs that are for dogging and dancing, and others that are a bit sadder.

How did you first become interested in creating music?

From a very young age, art was important to me; I learned how to sing, act and dance as a child. In my home, we listened to a lot of music. For a while, I did covers of famous songs as I learned. I think I was absorbing different music and styles to the point where I felt the need to start expressing myself with my own works. Despite this desire, I was not 100% confident in my abilities yet and had many insecurities. I was afraid of how the public would receive my music and doubted if this was my true path. Luckily, things turned out in a positive way. Today, I have no doubts that yes, I was born to create music and it brings me a lot of joy.

Which songs are you most proud of?

Mm, they are all special to me and fill me with pride. It is difficult for me to pick just one. If I had to choose one, my first instinct is to say Ademas De Mi or Mi Debilidad, that song is very significant to me as an artist. I cried a lot while making it and recording the video.

You were a Youtuber before becoming a singer. How was the experience of transitioning from an influencer to an artist?

YouTube was a beautiful experience, and I am grateful that the opportunity was a positive one. The change in my life was progressive over time. Being on YouTube allowed me the chance for people to get to know me, while I gained confidence and worked on my own fears as a public person. Obviously, my life and my career are now on another path but having the experience of being a YouTuber served as the foundation for everything that has gone on to happen in my life.

What is your favorite fan moment?

My favorite moments are when my fans tell me everything in my music speaks to them. It’s amazing how something I pour so much love into in the studio can reach so many people and positively influence their lives. In live concerts, we would raise up different fans to speak with them, and at one performance a girl told us that with my song ‘Tell Me How I Do,’ she declared her love to her girlfriend. I found it beautiful. Those moments fill me with incredible happiness.

Maria Becerra by Christian Garfa 2

How does it feel to have reached this level of popularity so young?

It still doesn’t feel real. It is incredible to me, but I just try and take things one day at a time. I try to appreciate the small things and remain the humble girl I’ve always been because that’s still who I am. I surround myself a lot with my friends, my family, and my pets who are my rocks – they remind me of where I come from and who I am.

Why do you refer to yourself as the Girl from Argentina?

In general, it is known that many of the best discoveries occur accidentally, and this was no exception. When we recorded Animal with Cazzu, in the song’s lyrics I sing “Las Nenas de Argentina,” as if referring to the two of us. Apparently, when people listened, they heard “La nena de Argentina” and everyone loved that I referred to myself that way. From there, I started to use it as my brand, and I feel it gives me a special power for communicating to the world my music and I are made and from Argentina.

Who are your influences?

Wow, so many artists! I especially love and admire Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, and Rihanna. They are very important role models to me. I watch their shows and videos a lot.

How did it feel to join a label as prestigious as 300 Entertainment?

I am honored and very happy to work with them. They have always been supportive, even affectionate, towards me. Unfortunately, their office is in Los Angeles, so we don’t have the opportunity to see each other that often, but when we do it’s always a special moment. I know the whole team at 300 takes care of me and wants the best for me, so I respect them and thank them very much.

Your most recent EP blended many different genres. Which genres would you like to experiment with in the future?

I like Bachata, and I think more songs like this are coming from me. Yet as I said before, I don’t want to pigeonhole myself. I love to experiment with different genres and different sounds, and that is what is important to me as I create music today. So, in 2022 you and all my fans can be surprised with what I come out with next.

What can we expect to see from you in the future?

I feel like 2022 is going to be a great year. My team and I are working hard to make it so. I’m locked in the studio, and many of the songs we are currently working on are tremendous. I am already anxious for people to listen to them. This year, a new album is coming, as well as trips and several shows in Argentina and Europe. We hope to reach many places and have everyone dance and sing to my music.

Global superstar Becky G releases her cover of “Bella Ciao”along with the music video via Kemosabe/RCA Records

“Bella Ciao” has recently re-entered the pop culture zeitgeist as the unofficial anthem for the hit Netflix series La Casa De Papel (Money Heist). Originating from 19th Century Italy, the song first appears in Part 1 of the show and the character Tokyo recounts in the season’s finale, ”The Professor’s whole life revolved around one idea…Resistance. His grandfather, who had fought with the Resistance to defeat the fascists in Italy, taught him that song. And then…he taught us.”

As a fan of the show, Becky is thrilled to partner with Netflix on her cover of “Bella Ciao.” Her cover comes alongside a music video which pays homage to the show with the iconic red jumpsuit and mask and of course the bars of gold from the Bank of Spain. The video is directed by Megan Gamez (John Legend, Mario).

Part 5: Volume 2, the finale of the series, will premiere globally on Netflix on 12/3/21. More info on the final episodes below.

About, “Bella Ciao” and La Casa De Papel (Money Heist), Becky G says, “I have always loved ‘La Casa de Papel’ (’Money Heist’) and the way this show connected with millions of people across the world. “Bella Ciao” is an iconic song and marks an important moment in the series, so being asked to reimagine it and be a part of the Casa de Papel world is truly an honor. From recording the song to shooting the video, I hope everyone enjoys this cover as much as I do!”

Nicky Jam × El Alfa – Pikete

Latin music pioneer Nicky Jam releases a new musical collaboration with the “master” of the Dominican Dembow El Alfa. Together, both Latin-music superstars give life to “Pikete”, a song that promises to become the new summer anthem and is now available on all digital platforms. You can watch the music video HERE

“Pikete” tells the story of a woman who seems unattainable because of her beauty and attitude. The song was born from the composition of its interpreters Nicky Jam and El Alfa, along with Slow Mike, Luis A O´neill, and Juan Diego Medina Vélez, under the record label La Industria inc. The song premiers with its official video, directed by the pioneer of urban genre music videos Jessy Terrero, with the production house Cinema Giants.

It is not the first time that Nicky Jam and El Alfa have collaborated. Songs such as “Nadie como tú” “Segueta remix” and “A Correr Los Lakers” have united them at a professional level, however, the last interview that Nicky Jam made with El Alfa, through his own talk show, “The Rockstar Show,” generated more than 3 million views on YouTube, and their fans asked to see them together again.

About Nicky Jam

Nicky Jam’s rise and fall story is the story of his genre itself: great fame, hard times and artistic rebirth. As one of the founders of the Urban Latin movement, Nicky Jam began recording music at the age of 11. As a young adult, he quickly rose to the top of his genre creating some of the biggest hits of the early urban movement in the 90’s. Just as he was starting to enjoy his hard-earned accomplishments, his life took a 180-degree turn and he decided to move to Colombia to rebuild his career. After being out of the limelight for 10 years, he released his album Fenix in 2017. The album is now certified Diamond in the U.S. by the RIAA. It contains the biggest singles of his career which are all Multi-Platinum certified: “El Amante,” “El Perdón,” and “Hasta El Amanecer.”

In 2018, he returned with his first new single titled “X”. The single is a duet with his longtime friend and colleague, J Balvin. This will be a landmark year for Nicky, as he will be releasing his next album.

“In this new series of works, including huge, captivating canvases that seem to explode with invention and fearlessness, she presents a novel vernacular that is overpowering and unforgettable” –Bruce Helander (Florida Artists Hall of Fame)

The Manolis Projects Gallery is the exclusive representative of Fernanda Lavera’s works in the United States. Mr. Freak & Lucy” is now available for public viewing seven days a week. Many of Fernanda’s collectible works have sold within the show’s first week. We encourage all art collectors, seekers, and investors to visit now through the end of July. Fernanda’s works are becoming highly collected by the likes of the superstar, legendary music producer, and esteemed art collector, Clive Davis and billionaire political commentator, David Rubin.

When I saw Lavera’s work, I immediately sensed she was the one….a second-generation neo-expressionist, with a feminine Latin twist, who could pick up where Basquiat left off and take it higher, maybe much higher. I love the stories behind her work!” –Clive Davis, Collector

We would like to extend a special invitation to all press for a private showing of her works, tour of the gallery with founders Steven and Myrthia Manolis, and exclusive in-person and virtual interviews with Greg Schriefer, Steven Manolis, and Fernanda Lavera herself.

This group show features the works of 38 collected, established, and burgeoning global artists, including 92 works (17 giant works from FL), of Steven Manolis, Connie Lloveras, Jojo Anavim, and many more.

ABOUT FERNANDA LAVERA

María Fernanda Lavera (b.1975-), from Buenos Aires, Argentina, discovered her fascination for art and painting through an aunt who imparted to her a love of sketching and textures.

At first glance, her paintings appear to be wall images, graffiti that draws attention to itself through its bluntness, its hypnotic colors, and a unique style, a good street artist needs to stand apart from so many others. By covering every centimeter of the surface with color and with the images of contemporary objects turned into reductions of themselves, becoming more symbols than objects.

The images appear to explode from the depths, releasing outlandish forms of intense colors that, in turn, generate contrasts of surprising expressiveness that seem to have been created by the artist’s unconscious sketches. This is when we glimpse the surreal world manifested by Lavera with an extreme passion and that informs the viewer – the spectator – of a certain state of inner turmoil. Among the recognizable forms are symbols, objects, and everyday contours that approach the realm of Pop Art. Her diverse range of themes ranges from psychedelic cartoons juxtaposed with figures of rabid cats and race cars, to the expression of visibly disturbing events. Watchful eyes and disproportionate and stooping witnesses seem to look on helplessly.

Lavera explains that she likes to let things happen intuitively, without a clear intent: she is fascinated by the effects of color, the play of light and shade that allow her to explore her moods freely. Painting is a visual conversation for her – a moment, a feeling, and, especially, an outlet that allows the possibility to express the mystery of life through a symbolic space of complete expressive freedom.

“I looked at my canvas and asked, can I be free like him? So I let my feelings inspire me, my emotions, and the colours and the shapes that dance in my own being. It gave me the courage to let me be me, who I was, and who I am. Here and now” – Fernanda
