“DUMB DUMB” depicts the playful story of a confrontation between a confident girl and her crush. With “DUMB DUMB,” SOMI’s iconic playful attitude has been upgraded with maturity, both in her vocals and in her looks. Her expressive attitude is backed by the track’s powerful beat while her strong dance performance will leave viewers captivated. “DUMB DUMB” was co-written by SOMI and the production was created by THEBLACKLABEL’s founder, Teddy, along with producers R.TEE and 24. Together, they created a track unique for SOMI.

SOMI says, “Hey guys, I am back with ‘DUMB DUMB’! I love how this track shows all of my personality everything from cute, sassy, playful to fierce. The dance is really fun as well, I’m excited to see all your guys’ covers. It’s been a busy year since my last release, from participating in the songwriting of ‘DUMB DUMB’ to working on a lot of different music. I can’t wait for you guys to see everything I have planned for this year!”

The music video for “DUMB DUMB” finds SOMI coming into her own as a bold, self-assured young woman who knows what she wants, as she pursues her crush at school. Between scenes of SOMI having fun with her girlfriends, going out of her way to stand out from the crowd at a party, purposely walking into her crush in the school hallway, SOMI makes sure her efforts to get her crush’s attention do not go unnoticed. With countless costume changes and choreographed dance breaks with some of her signature moves, this video perfectly captures the song’s energy and SOMI’s newfound direction. You can watch the music video HERE.

VERIVERY by Taeon (CEO)at REELS Corporation for use by 360 Magazine

VERIVERY TOPS BILLBOARD CHARTS

In 2020, VERIVERY debuted on top of the Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales Chart with “G.B.T.B.”, the title track of their 5th EP, “FACE US.” “G.B.T.B.” is an acronym for “Go Beyond The Barrier,” showcasing VERIVERY’s hope that they can overcome any obstacles. The group is drawing attention as the new rising stars of K-pop with their impressive Billboard record that K-pop’s other leading artists have yet to achieve.

Forbes highlighted their latest two single release, SERIES ‘O’ [ROUND1: HALL], which features the tracks “Get Away” and “Numbness”. Through the interview with Forbes, they revealed that their universe is deepening and expanding. The music video is hot, filled with performances and moments that show the transformation of members throughout the party. It will be a matter of time before VERIVERY once again tops the Billboard chart.

‘Get Away’ – A tale about finding your true self and facing temptation.

‘Get Away’ is a grand track that features reggae-pop, giving the song a fatal but dreamy atmosphere. In the video, an unknown presence in the dark invites VERIVERY to a crazy party. The members face inner darkness, not knowing what is going to happen.

VERIVERY’s sweet voices sounds as if they are trying to fight back against the darkness. Their angelic whispers makes it seem like they are trying to hide their black wings and stay innocent, but eventually they spread out their dark-black wings and fall into the crazy party scene. They want to get away, but feel as if they’re trapped and falling deep within a dream. Is this party a sweet apple, or a poisonous one? It’s a sweet temptation–just like the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge–but once you bite into the apple it awakens the inner devil.

VERIVERY’s outfits get even darker and showier as they transform from boys to men.

At the beginning of the music video, the boys wore casual sweaters, knits, and hoodies to express their pureness. Curious boys with casual outfits at a camping site find themselves in an unknown place after receiving a mysterious invitation to a party. They wake in another location with black suits, but change into striped suits and leather jackets after eating a suspicious well-prepared meal on the table. It’s as if they’re facing themselves, but in a different parallel world VERIVERY’s neat black suits, silver accessories, and dark smokey makeup at the end signify the changing of each members as they face the dark inside.

We should also pay attention to the costumes and accessories that change as VERIVERY’s emotion changes. Those who face their inner selves try to destroy each other in the chaos. The curious young boys are nowhere, only the men are standing at the end of the party.

Monsta X Releases Mini Album

Earlier this year Monsta X released their album ALL ABOUT LUV– the first all English-language album released by a K-pop group- which debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 charts, making it the third group in the genre within the top 10. The record racked up rave reviews from NPR, ET, Variety, Forbes, and TIME, to name a few. Today, the worldwide phenomenon released their anxiously awaited mini album FANTASIA X.

#MONSTAX_FANTASIA trended #1 worldwide on Twitter immediately upon release, not to mention the album entered the top 3 U.S. iTunes Albums Chart. On top of that, Monsta X dropped a music video for the high-tempo title track, “FANTASIA,” co-written by members I.M. and Joohoney. “I know people all around the world are having a hard time right now. I’m hoping we can give a little bit of fun to everyone through the release of our new album,” says the band’s leader Shownu.

As a whole, FANTASIA X is centered on the first moment that the members of Monsta X felt strongly empowered. “FANTASIA” is a perfect example of Monsta X’s signature energy and power as they sing about their passion to break through anything and everything that’s in their way. “Everyday, we repeatedly experience trial and error. Nonetheless, we take on tomorrow without taking [a] break. We put forth a hundred efforts just to get one thing, but it’s so easy for that tiny bit to disappear. Just as the fierce process and intense competition make us stronger, we are heading off in search of a place that won’t shake in the face of the heavy storm, jealousy, expectations, and disappointment…” the band explained. Similar to their daily lives with internal conflict, the new mini album details the new world that Monsta X will create.

Both I.M. and Joohoney helped create all seven tracks- not only by songwriting but also composing and arranging. I.M. expanded his musicality even further with the leading production on the EDM-inspired “ZONE.” Composed by Joohoney, sub-title track “FLOW” is meant to channel dynamic feelings with an arrangement combining pop, intense synth, and dub sound. “We, who live a fancy life, endure pain on the outside as if nothing was wrong with a composed exterior. It comforts me to compare ourselves to swans by saying, ‘I am shining!’ Swans on the surface of the water are graceful and beautiful, but swans’ feet below the surface are stirring the water harder than anyone else. “FLOW” is meant to portray the message ‘Stop stirring your feet and just live with the flows.’ When you listen to the chorus, it says, ‘Sometimes when you’re so exhausted that you’re out of breath, let’s just go with the flow. We all live by looking flashy and pretending to be fine, but let’s put it down for a while and think as it goes.’ This song is meant to bring comfort,” he said of the track.

Tomorrow x Together Releases New Album

TOMORROW X TOGETHER (SOOBIN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU, TAEHYUN and HUENINGKAI) released their new EP, The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY and the music video for its title track, “Can’t You See Me?” on May 18, 2020, 6 PM KST.

The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY carries on the story from the band’s debut album, The Dream Chapter: STAR and their first studio album, The Dream Chapter: MAGIC. The new EP sees the boys continue their journey of growth, encountering conflicts in reality and within friendships, all the while holding on to the wish that the moments they have spent together will remain for eternity.

The title, “Can’t You See Me?” is a trendy pop track about the end of magical moments shared with friends, a reality described as an “incinerated night” that triggers turbulent and confusing emotions from the group of boys. Unique sounds exude a contradictory charm that is simultaneously rough and delicate.

The music video for “Can’t You See Me?” continues where the video for “Run Away” from The Dream Chapter: MAGIC left off.

The members who visited SOOBIN’s house spend a good time together, but their relationship soon goes sour as their minor instances of mischief begin to build up. In the midst of a tense atmosphere, the five members’ delicate portrayal of contrasting emotions stand out.

The music video added a dramatic effect by illustrating the cracks between friendships through a house on fire. The sensational performances by the members that utilize a burning house as a background and vibrantly colored props, such as strawberries and tomatoes, together provide ample attractions.

Other tracks from the EP include “Drama” which draws on relatable struggles in friendship for teenagers in school, and “Fairy of Shampoo” which is TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s first remake with fairytale-like lyrics and rap written by YEONJUN. “Maze in the Mirror” delivers loneliness and earnestness during troubled times, and “PUMA”  compares a boy who meets a strange world to a puma that has escaped the zoo. “Eternally” sings of chaos and reminiscence on the search to find memories from the past. The EP contains a total of six tracks.

Particularly noteworthy is the fourth track of the album. “Maze in the Mirror” is the first song to be released that has been co-written by all five members. This track provides listeners with a glimpse into TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s growth as an artist with infinite potential.

It combines tracks of various genres including Funk Pop, Dream Pop, Trap Hip hop, and Alternative R&B, complemented by unique lyrics in a show of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s colorful musical style. The title track’s powerful performance also demands attention, expressing abstract emotions with great depth.

The five members have attracted global fans with a variety of contents, trending worldwide on platforms such as Twitter and YouTube. The contents include concept trailers, two versions of concept photos, and seven music video teasers.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER released The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY and the music video for its title track, “Can’t You See Me?” at 6 PM KST. A live performance of “Can’t You See Me?” will be revealed at 7 PM KST through ‘TOMORROW X TOGETHER Comeback Show Presented by Mnet.’
