Modelo × Mister Cartoon

Modelo, the beer brewed for those with The Fighting Spirit™, has teamed up with legendary LA-based Mexican American tattoo artist, Mark Machado aka Mister Cartoon, to invite fans around the country to celebrate Día de los Muertos in style.

To honor the tradition of Día de los Muertos, Modelo has launched custom 24 oz. MISTER CARTOON

Mister Cartoon’s richly detailed, hand-rendered designs are inspired by the style of tattoos that originated in the streets of 1970s’ Los Angeles – fine line Chicano black and grey custom tattoo art. Cartoon took this style of tattooing and brought it into mainstream culture. He is known as a pioneer in the tattoo world, and as one of the first artists to get global notoriety by tattooing celebrities, athletes, musicians, and actors alike.

TEQUILA CAZADORES × MISTER CARTOON

In honor of Dia de los Muertos, Tequila CAZADORES, a 100% pure agave tequila from Bacardi, has partnered with legendary tattoo artist Mister Cartoon (whose work can be found on the likes of Beyoncé, Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, Kobe Bryant and more) to create a limited-edition bottle design.

Cartoon has also created a set of skull bandanas – inspired by illustrations from the bottle – that will be available through MisterCartoon.com/shop. The three bandana designs are custom for California, Texas, and New York. All proceeds from the bandana sales will be donated to earthquake disaster relief efforts in Mexico.

The Mister Cartoon X Tequila CAZADORES Día de los Muertos bottle is adorned in symbolic black, white and gray artwork, with illustrations of a skull to honor the memories of lost loved ones, a rose to welcome new beginnings and a woman to represent love and the importance of celebrating the good times. The Tequila CAZADORES iconic stag is part of the design as a reminder to be bold and fearless in the pursuit of dreams.
