Hrvy – Nevermind

Today, Capitol Records released “NEVERMIND,” the first single and leadoff track from HRVY’s debut album, Can Anybody Hear Me? “NEVERMIND” sees HRVY set the stage for pop domination with the juddering electro-pop sound he’s been so passionately perfecting over the last two years.

Co-written with J Hart (Justin Bieber) and Pollack (Lauv), the new single is a burst of pitch-shifted vocals that echoes the dance floor melancholy of previous single “ME BECAUSE OF YOU,” which is also included on the album.

HRVY will perform “NEVERMIND” on Nickelodeon’s “All That,” airing tomorrow, July 25, at 9:00 PM/8:00 Central Time. HRVY said, “I wrote this song last summer with J Hart and Pollack, who have written some of my favorite songs of the last few years. I’m so pleased this track turned out how it did and that everyone can finally hear it and see how the new music on the album is going to sound.”

Set for release on August 28, the album also includes the global smash “Personal,” which is certified Gold in the U.S., plus recent releases “Unfamiliar” and “Be Okay” (with R3HAB).

Can Anybody Hear Me? illuminates the many sides of HRVY and his musical tastes. While the plaintive acoustic ballad “She Isn’t You” nods to old school boy bands like *NSYNC, the title track is a banger that is sure to go down a storm in a live scenario. “ME BECAUSE OF YOU” showcases a musician truly coming into his own, embraced by fans who are experiencing similar growing pains as they transition into adulthood.

HRVY’s quest to craft the perfect pop song is connecting with an astronomical audience worldwide, with 20,000 tickets already sold for his upcoming rescheduled world tour, which includes dates in the U.S., U.K., Europe, Asia and Australia. At just 21, HRVY is already a global star, having traveled the world and scoring collaborations with artists such as Korean supergroup NCT Dream, esteemed Norwegian DJ and The Vamps collaborator Matoma, Seeb and Goodboys and Cuban-born Latino sensation Malú Travejo. Wonderland said, “HRVY is undoubtedly one to watch” and GQ (Britain) noted, “HRVY is the whole pop star package.” He has 4.8 million Instagram followers, over 2.7 million YouTube subscribers, 1 million followers on Spotify and more than 1 billion combined streams to his name, including over 250,000 streams in the U.S. alone. 2018 saw HRVY perform his biggest ever UK headline gig at London’s Hammersmith Apollo and last year saw him performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, sharing the same stage as Mark Ronson, Miley Cyrus, Stormzy and Charli XCX – both proving to be landmark moments in the pop star’s career.

Nickelodeon, TIME and TIME for Kids today announced that submissions have opened for the first-ever Kid of the Year honor, a multiplatform initiative recognizing extraordinary young leaders who are making a positive impact in their communities.  Now through Aug. 1, parents, teachers, friends and more, can nominate a kid (aged 8-16) who is doing incredible and inspiring things to make the world a better place.  Five honorees will be featured in a TV special—hosted by Trevor Noah (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah) and simulcast on Nick and the CBS Television Network in December–with one kid ultimately being recognized as TIME Kid of the Year and featured on a cover of TIME with a companion story in TIME For Kids.

The Kid of the Year TV special will also feature stars from entertainment, sports and pop culture surprising the honorees, as well as musical performances.  Each of the finalists will receive funds to further their respective causes and have the opportunity to serve as a Kid Reporter for TIME for Kids with exclusive access to a Nickelodeon event.  For official submission rules and additional information about the initiative, visit KidoftheYear2020.com.

Said Noah, “In the unprecedented times that we are living in today, it has been inspiring to see humanity come together to help one another, and I’ve been especially drawn to the stories of kids using their creativity to bring resources to their communities.  After all, the person who’s going to bring us a better tomorrow is a kid who’s out there doing it today!”

Nickelodeon’s Kid of the Year TV special is a co-production of TIME Studios, Day Zero Productions, Mainstay Entertainment and Nickelodeon. Executive Producers include Andrea Delbanco (TIME for Kids), Ian Orefice and Mike Beck (TIME Studios), Trevor Noah and Haroon Saleem (Day Zero Productions), Norm Aladjem, Derek Van Pelt and Sanaz Yamin (Mainstay Entertainment) and Rob Bagshaw, Paul J. Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan

Kid rapper and pint-sized powerhouse Young Dylan will join the Nickelodeon family with the premiere of the brand-new live-action series, Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan, on Saturday, Feb. 29, at 8:30 (ET/PT).  Executive produced, directed and written by Perry, the series follows a family whose world is turned upside down when their nephew, Young Dylan (Dylan Gilmer), an aspiring hip-hop star, moves in unannounced. Michelle Sneed is also an executive producer, with Will Areu and Mark E. Swinton serving as producers.  The series is currently in production at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Ga.

In Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan, Dylan’s grandmother Viola (Aloma Wright) realizes that raising her grandson is too much to take on, so she decides to send him to live indefinitely with her affluent son Myles Wilson (Carl Anthony Payne II), his wife Yasmine (Mieko Hillman) and their two kids Rebecca (Celina Smith) and Charlie (Hero Hunter).  Suddenly, the Wilson family household needs to adapt as lifestyles clash between rising hip-hop star Young Dylan and his straight-laced cousins. From Dylan giving Charlie, Rebecca, and her best friend Bethany (Jet Miller), lessons in “swag” and street smarts, to learning that even rappers have rules in the Wilson house, the series follows the hilarious hijinks this family faces as they try to get on the same beat.

Nickelodeon’s partnership with Perry is part of his long-term pact with ViacomCBS, producing original series for BET Networks (The Oval and Sistas) and other ViacomCBS networks, with exclusive licensing rights on this programming.  Additionally, Perry recently announced his joint venture with BET Networks for the new streaming video on demand service BET+. Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan marks Perry’s first kids’ scripted series.

Born and raised in Annapolis, Md., Gilmer is known for his many appearances and performances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and at NBA All-Star Weekend.  He will next appear at Nickelodeon SlimeFest, a two-day family-friendly music festival on Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at the Forum in Inglewood, Calif.  Gilmer has an overall talent deal with Telepictures, a subsidiary of Warner Bros. Television, and has previously guest starred on the revival of Nickelodeon’s hit series All That.

Gilmer is represented by Sherry Kayne of The Green Room and Chris Abramson at Felker Toczek Suddleson Abramson.

The production of Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan for Nickelodeon is overseen by Shauna Phelan, Senior Vice President, Live-Action Scripted Content. Brian Banks serves as Nickelodeon’s Executive in Charge of Production for the series.

Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan underscores a key element of Nickelodeon’s content strategy, to mine social platforms for the talent that kids love.  Nick’s new content slate is informed by the network’s ongoing research and insights into today’s generation of kids, who: are the most diverse generation ever and expect to see themselves authentically represented in media and in the world around them; want to make a positive difference in the world as they grow up; consider social media stars as their top role models, alongside their parents; and increasingly meet their much-desired need for family time by co-viewing entertainment content together.

She is a young, energetic and gorgeous Latina – born in Venezuela to Cuban parents – and is the accumulation of everything Young Hollywood strives to be. She is best known for her series regular role on the Nickelodeon series “Bella & The Bulldogs,” but can now be seen starring in the networks popular new series: “Knight Squad,” which returns for season 2 in early 2019. Off-screen, Lilimar has used her strong social presence to set empowering, self-love social initiatives like #FreshFaceFriday and #StarGazeSaturday; with the goal of lifting up her followers and encouraging them to embrace their unique beauty and individuality.

I was really excited to start both of these on my socials, because I just love connecting with my stargazers (my supporters). I’m so incredibly grateful for every ounce of love & support they show as it always keeps me so positive and happy so I wanted to do something that shows that I support THEM just as much.” – Lilimar

The goal is to encourage young people to break boundaries and not be afraid to show the world who they really are beneath the make-up, the clothes, and fake images we try to portray online. We live in a world where we’re forcing ourselves to achieve perfection through photos instead of embracing our true natural beautiful selves. Connecting directly with her fans on these topics, Lilimar discusses issues that teens think about today like peer pressure, family, owning your individual power, societal norms in the modern age.

Her messages of truth and self-love are the reason why she’s poised to be America’s newest sweetheart.
