Welcome to A-Town with cultural influencer and social advocate Fly Guy DC of Streetz 94.5 to explore the various levels of the broadcast specialist’s success. He gave Automotive Rhythms comprehensive insight into his lifestyle of entertainment, music, sports, and fashion while profiling Atlanta landmarks from the cockpit of the all-new, next-level 2022 Lexus NX 350 F Sport. We connected with Fly Guy DC while he was wrapping up Streetz 94.5 on-air duties before hitting the urban streets of Atlanta to explore the culture. Deeply rooted in everything sensational, from sneakers and fashion to hip hop artists passing through town, the radio and TV personality was enamored with the Redline Lexus when we handed him the keys for the vibrant weekend. Most known for his ATL nightlife crowd control and primetime role as an on-air radio personality, Fly Guy DC has captured the culture with his charismatic energy, quick wit, and endearing professionalism. In addition, his hosting abilities have captivated crowds of over 50,000 attendees, including community initiatives, stadium events, college homecomings, and Fortune 500 exhibitions. Fly Guy DC continues to expand his repertoire on various networks including BET, MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon, and REVOLT TV.

We began our Saturday afternoon at the radio station, where the influential millennial finished his set before jumping into the Japanese luxury SUV. The 2022 NX is blessed with an attention-grabbing spindle grille, LED headlights, LED “blade” taillamps, and F-Sport styling including Blacked-out 20-in alloy rims. And throughout the tour, the music enthusiast seamlessly connected his iPhone using Wireless Apple CarPlay to chill out to Streetz 94.5 FM vibes through the 17-speaker Mark Levinson premium Audio system.

In Georgia’s busy and sprawling city, you can visit an array of bucket list attractions. A few places consist of SkyView Atlanta (a 20-story Ferris wheel in Centennial Park); historic Piedmont Park which inspires healthier lifestyles; the Tabernacle concert hall, originally opened in 1911; Tyler Perry Studios; the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park, Atlanta’s top tourist destination; the home of the Atlanta Falcons; and Brave‘s Stadium to watch Ronald Acuna Junior hit homers out of the park.

We cruised methodically through the busy quarters as onlookers glanced at the sporty vibes of our ride. He appreciated the turbo’s efficient power whenever we were en route. The NX F-Sport was chill when it needed to be and ready to rock when Fly Guy DC had an appointment to make. Additionally, he revels in newfangled technology for entertainment like the 14″ touchscreen and Lexus Interface. It uses cloud-based connectivity and a “Hey Lexus” voice assistant to satisfy driver requests. More importantly, wireless phone charging is a must since Fly Guy DC has too many hosting engagements to allow his phone battery to die. 

Automotive Rhythms periodically stopped for photos and videos of Fly Guy DC with the vehicle in popular locations. He chatted about the SUV’s comfort and driver-inspired cockpit, designed with the philosophy of perfect balance where key features are placed within reach and right where you need them. Moreover, ambient 64-color lighting provides a fully-immersive experience. For example, we swung by the AUC to discuss his time at illustrious Clark Atlanta University and how higher education is required to attain elevation in America from buying a home to purchasing your next luxury vehicle of choice, in this case, a Lexus NX. Quick and decisive, our all-wheel drive F-Sport cut through traffic like the Hawk’s Trae Young with the rock. 

Fly Guy DC prides himself on positively impacting our youth, giving back to communities, and improving the life experiences of his mentees. He continuously stays active by participating in literacy programs and career days. So naturally,  automotive safety is essential. The NX features LSS+ 3.0, aka Lexus Safety System Plus, the most advanced version of LSS and one of, if not the most advanced suite of standard safety features in its class. Yes, he was right at home in the lifestyle atmosphere.

Rapper/actor Dylan Gilmer has taken the entertainment industry by storm. Known by his stage name of “Young Dylan,” at the mere age of thirteen years old he has accomplished triumphs that resembles that of long-term professionals in the business. 360 sat down to chat with Dylan about his rapping and acting career, and what exactly we can expect to see from him in the future.

Young Dylan was first noticed at six-years-old when a video of his rapping skills went viral. Soon after, he was brought to ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show at age seven to showcase his rapping talent on a widespread scale. At such a young age, Young Dylan captivated his audience and drew them in with his charming rap talent while performing DJ Khaled’s “For Free.”

His later amassed fame came from his performances on Season 14 of ‘America’s Got Talent.’ At only ten years old, Young Dylan rapped advanced tracks from popular rappers Drake and Kendrick Lamar that allowed him to display his impeccable musical rhythm and flow. Since he gained widespread critical acclaim, Young Dylan has made several appearances back where he got his early beginning into the industry on ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show.’

He attributes his rapping skills back to cherished moments with his father growing up. “Ever since I was a baby, he’d be playing music in the car… I have great memorization, I remembered the beats, the lyrics, just like I do with my lines.”

Young Dylan’s apparent natural confidence in performing is one of his most recognizable and admirable traits. When asked about how he transforms himself to become Young Dylan on stage, he attributes everything to energy.

Dylan gets his pre- nerve jitters out by stepping on stage confidently and giving each performance his all. Once the curtains open and he starts performing, “Voila! The butterflies are gone, my heart is pumping, a good pumping, I’m getting the crowd lit, everything like that!” He explains the energy that the crowd gives him is his fuel for his vibe while taking the stage.

Continuing his career with such early success, Dylan has only continued to blossom into a well-versed working young professional. Popularly starring on ‘Tyler Perry’s Young Dylan on Nickelodeon as Young Dylan, the show follows the story of the Young Dylan character’s hip-hop career and personal life.

Immersed in the Nickelodeon world, Young Dylan also co-hosts Nickelodeon’s ‘NFL Slimetime with Nate Burleson. Young Dylan spoke about how much he’s learned from Nate while working together on the project and how it’s been “great working with him, on set and off of set.”

Young Dylan launched his career into new heights after landing his co-host spot on ‘The Kids Tonight Show,’ which just so happens to be executively produced by the host of the original tonight show, Jimmy Fallon. Dylan recalls the leadup to this experience and how he landed such a stellar roll. “It was my last day of school, I was laying on my floor just watching TikTok’s, stuff like that, and my father calls me out of nowhere and says, ‘You need to get on the Zoom! I forgot all about it, you need to get on the Zoom!’”

On this Zoom call, Young Dylan got to chat with his future kid co-stars and the rest of the team with the show. The producers absolutely fell in love with the relatability and transparency that allows viewers to connect with Dylan. “I felt like I was supposed to be on that show,” Young Dylan says about ‘The Kid Tonight Show,’ and we couldn’t agree more.

Dylan made sure to mention how all the kids working on the project possess innovative qualities that contribute to the success of the show. “I think we all bring something different to the show, and that’s what I really like about them, and that’s what I really liked about the show.” Working alongside his co-hosts Mykal-Michelle HarrisOlivia Perez and Recker Eans, Young Dylan raved about the chemistry that they all had working together. Stepping into some big shoes to fill from the acclaimed Jimmy Fallon, Young Dylan and his co-hosts are swiftly keeping up with the kid-friendly spin off just fine.

Originally from Annapolis, Maryland, he still resides in the city with big dreams to move to a major city in the new few years. “I travel a lot to Atlanta, New York, Cali. So, I’m hoping to move to one of those states by 15.”

At the forefront of Young Dylan’s mission is giving back to the community. “I just want to be there for my community, and I always want to have Annapolis, Maryland in my heart… most people don’t know what Annapolis is… I want to be the person to make Annapolis well-known, and I feel like I can do that.”

Amidst the ongoing duration of the pandemic, Young Dylan has been able to appreciate the blessings that he has received regarding the advancement of his career. While going through quarantine, he recalls how he had the time to analyze how strained he was, and how he got through this with help from his support system.

Quarantine, for me, taught me a lot of things. I was really stressed out at one point balancing school, acting, rapping; all of that. You know, you just have to have a great support system.”

Young Dylan credits his success and motivation to the help he receives from his strong support system. He explains how without having the support of the people around him, he wouldn’t have been able to accomplish what he has thus far. He encourages fans that are going through tough times to find those people around them that they feel comfortable to talk to and can confide in. 

In terms of giving back, Young Dylan has never been shied to fighting for causes that he believes in. Throughout the duration of the pandemic and the first quarantine, Young Dylan made it one of his priorities to help out where he could.

“During quarantine I was giving food to hospitals, people that were still working during the pandemic.” Having found joy in helping those who needed it most during the pandemic, giving back is now at the heart of Young Dylan’s mission.

We can expect a lot more to come from Young Dylan in the next few years. Aside from recently landing a spot as a host on ‘The Kids Tonight Show,’ Young Dylan has recently signed with Puma and is planning to release his very own mixtape this summer.

His partnership with Puma has allowed him to grow and see new sides to business endeavors he hasn’t witnessed thus far. Concerning the excitement around his new deal with Puma, Young Dylan raved, “I was like, ‘WOW, I’m getting a deal with Puma? PUMA?’”

In regards to his highly anticipated mixtape, Young Dylan told 360 that it would consist of eight clean tracks that kids will be able to admire. He aims to make kid-friendly hip-hop/rap inspired pieces that are still as hype and innovative as modern-day explicit pieces we see from older rap stars.

“We can bring clean music but also be as lit as the other songs that have cursing, but just clean!” Young Dylan has been working on this project for quite some time and has made sure that each track is perfected to his standards. “You can definitely see we put a lot of work in on this mixtape that is coming out this summer. It’s gonna be lit!”

As such a prominent child star, Young Dylan has some advice to give to younger children, or anyone that has a dream to have a career just like him: “never give up, if you have a dream, chase it man, don’t let anyone stop you.”

Young Dylan preaches to maintain a humble mindset, and never get too cocky with yourself. He encourages us all to “always be yourself, always be dripped out, and when you step in a room, shine your light.”

Savannah Lee May speaks to 360 Magazine anpit A cowgirl's song

Savannah’s A Cowgirl Song

Best known for her role as ‘Buttercup’ on Nickelodeon’s series “Knight Squad” the now 21-year-old star solidified her mark in the industry when Kenny Ortega’s “Julie and the Phantoms” dropped on Netflix in the summer of 2020. With a huge following of over 1.4 million across social media, Savannah Lee May has become an inspiration for young adults all over the world. “Showing up is half the battle, the other half is truly training and learning, and knowing exactly what you want to do ” Savannah used her platform to share some advice about success to her fans.

Earlier this April Savannah added her new movie A Cowgirl’s Song to her discography. Savannah recounts her experience on the set of A Cowgirl’s Song, “With A Cowgirl’s Song, that was the first time I was really able to sing the genre of music that introduced me to playing the guitar”.

This coming-of-age story about a young country singer resonated with Savannah. Growing up on the outskirts of Houston, you can imagine that country music holds a special place in Savannah’s heart. While Savannah’s grandfather was a country music singer, her parents’ favorite artists, such as ACDC, Michael Jackson and Eminem, helped Savannah’s playlists grow with a wide range of genres.

Savannah’s undeniable love for country music stemmed from her grandfather, who is battling Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s is a disorder of the central nervous system that eventually affects the movement of the body, often including tremors. Savannah unfolds her grandfather’s battle with Parkinson’s, “It started off minor but as time went on it’s taken over completely”. Savannah’s grandfather’s slow decline of motor skills took a toll on her family, “It’s something that’s really hard to see on someone that you grew up with, always cracking jokes, teaching me how to play the guitar and singing”. Despite her grandfather’s battle with Parkinson’s, Savannah assures that his heart is still as healthy as an OX.

Savannah’s family has always been supportive of her career, and we can’t wait to watch her career grow right along with them.

SPOTLIGHT: NYCHOS

Blending themes of morbid corporeality with the colorful, hyper-loony aesthetic descended from comics and cartoons, Nychos has developed a unique style that performs with powerhouse effect whether on the street or in the gallery.

Raised in a traditional Viennese hunting family, death and dissection were daily business for Nychos. The proximity to animal viscera had a profound effect on him psychologically and visually–he now explores the theme of dissection in his art, pushing it to playful extremes.

In Nychos’ world, Spongebob has a skeleton, people live inside rabbits and there is always something wicked underneath. Pumped up on the visual adrenaline of comics, heavy metal and graffiti, Nychos’ work reflects the immense energy and technical focus necessary to produce work on the massive scale he has reached on the streets.

Colliding style and subject matter, Nychos slices up animals and innocent childhood characters with unflinching graphic precision. His work confronts the viewer with wicked insistence, using the shock of cartoon violence as a vehicle for exploring subtler themesof mortality and temporality. Nychos pays homage to these deathless cartoon heroes by peeling them open and giving them human substance. His artwork reflects the psychology of an art scene in which creations are sometimes swept away as soon as created.

Nychos also uses subtle imagery such as plastic in an orca’s belly, weaving political commentary seamlessly into his pieces. Using delicious color-scapes and wild, fuming lines to create his characters–whether with paintbrush or spray can–Nychos works with unmatched dynamism.

His command over his tools indicates a work ethic that promises only more staggering output from thisartist. Nychos’ paintings and drawings have been exhibited in galleries worldwide, including six solo exhibitions (Turino, Detroit, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, Paris) in the past two years alone.

These pieces serve as unique compliments to his massive public works that give character to cities all over the world. The artist’s last solo show took place in Zurich and was opened in October 2015. A cooperation with Jonathan Levine is planned for 2016. Nychos currently lives and works out of Rabbit Eye Movement, his studio and art space located in Vienna.

“It’s an internal dialogue between my Ego and my Self,” Lana expresses on the new single. “An honest, hard look in the mirror at the fears and flaws that make me human. I’m scared I’m not the woman I want to be, but I can’t let my ego go.”

“’Ego Go’” is the first track I played keys on myself. The song was written in a 10 min free-flow, sitting in a puddle of tears on my bedroom floor. There’s something unrefined about it, unlike the restraints of classical technique I grew up in. Simple and raw—I wanted the track to feel the way it did at conception: an earthquake of emotion.”

Every once in a blue moon an artist emerges with an undeniable arsenal of talents and embarrassment of riches, and such is the case with contemporary pop artist Lana Love. The Atlanta-born juggernaut fully embodies the spirit of being multi-faceted as a singer, songwriter, classically trained pianist/musician, trained dancer, actor and burgeoning entrepreneur.

The genesis for Lana’s musical journey started in Naples, Florida as a precocious 4-year old who was obsessed with Andrew Lloyd Weber’s iconic “Phantom of The Opera” and started playing the song, “Music of the Night,” by ear on piano in her living room. From that auspicious beginning, Lana has been immersed in honing and expressing her artistry in every medium available. By age 7, she had written her first song. She later studied music at the University of Florida and the American Music Theater and Dramatic Academy in New York.

In her late teens, she was featured in several musical productions as a singer/actor/dancer produced by Disney and Nickelodeon that were presented internationally in over 20 countries throughout Europe. Back in the US she has amassed a number of television credits on programs that were broadcast by HBO, Warner Brothers, Discovery Channel, YouTube and Telemundo. She has also opened for mega rappers like Snoop Dogg and Wu Tang Clan, among other, dabbled in EDM and been a featured guest artist on RaF MC’s Latin dance track, “Baila.”

Currently, Lana is the epitome of a female entrepreneur in a male-dominated field. Between finally owning 100% of her masters and joining the ranks alongside the few women that have broken the digital currency barrier with an NFT venture on the horizon, Lana is a lyricist for the upcoming Netflix documentary “Malinche,” written by Nacho Cano and orchestrated by Hans Zimmer.
