BlueBucksClan – Come Again

Los Angeles rap duo BlueBucksClan share the music video for their latest single  “Come Again,” out now via Out The Blue Records. Watch it HERE.

In the visual directed by frequent collaborator Tevo Laron, the duo descend upon Las Vegas as all kinds of antics ensue. The clip intercuts footage of DJ and Jeeezy as they turn up outside, by the pool, in the club, and beyond. Smoked-out Cali keys pulsate in the background as the MCs lock into a quotable lyrical call-and-response before the hard-hitting hook takes hold.

BlueBucksClan just wrapped up the On My Soul Tour with Bino Rideaux. Next up, the guys take the stage at Once Upon A Time In LA Festival on December 18 back home in LA.

Praise for BlueBucksClan

“Since their emergence in 2019, the pair has been busy” — Rolling Stone

“L.A’s best duo.” — Pitchfork

“It’s clear that BlueBucksClan is only getting started” — COMPLEX

“BlueBucksClan have built their own high-speed lane” — Billboard

“Jeeezy and DJ are all about fashion, women and clever sports references, and their natural sense of humor has garnered attention all over L.A. and beyond” –XXL

About the Duo

BlueBucksClan are driving Los Angeles’ rap renaissance forward slowly, steadily, and mercilessly. Since emerging in 2019, the duo of DJ and Jeeezy have captivated their city with hypnotic beats, mind-melding verbal chemistry, and vivid tales of shutting down the club while draped in designer drip. Together, these lifelong friends who met on the football field are taking the fierce sound of contemporary SoCal Street rap and making it regal, bringing the hood to Beverly Hills. Each new cinematic song affirms that these two men from the rough parts of South L.A. are leveling up, wearing shoes that cost more than your rent and driving foreign cars with beautiful women riding shotgun. Clan Virus 2 is their seventh project in two years. They’ve refined their deadpan punchlines, flamboyant boasts, and charismatic back-and-forth delivery as quickly as they’ve expanded their wardrobes, car collections, and fanbase. In an era where shallow hooks take precedence over bars, BlueBucksClan bring you into their world one clever couplet at a time. With Clan Virus 2, DJ and Jeeezy invite fans into their luxurious universe once more, bringing their city with them on their meteoric rise. In the U.S. alone BlueBucksClan have generated nearly 85 million streams to date.

Jordan Hollywood – Pleasures

Florida rapper, singer, producer, and hitmaking CEO Jordan Hollywood unleashes “Pleasures” a new single and music video out now via Quality Control Music/Motown Records. Listen HERE and watch the video HERE. The song paves the way for his upcoming album, Only The Paranoid Survive, coming soon.

On the track, a hypnotic beat grates up against his intent flow. His nimble rhymes give way to a confessional chorus, “I wake up everyday. I tell my son that I love himߪI miss my mom so much I wish that I could hug you.” In the accompanying visual, a psychotherapist reminds Jordan, Only The Paranoid Survive, before he raps from the couch. As stacks fly, he ends up in a literal battle of tug-of-war before facing off against an entire tactical team.

“Pleasures” follows his energized summer banger “The Ugly Song” a collaboration with producer legend Timbaland who told Jordan “You really took it there. Lyrically, video style, concept. I just wanna be the added piece to the puzzle.” ThPle record received acclaim from NME, REVOLT, and more, XXL named it among, “The 13 Best New Songs This Week,” and HotNewHipHop raved, “Jordan Hollywood has his hands on a summer smash.”

About Jordan Hollywood

Jordan Hollywood believes paranoia is integral to his success. “I think being paranoid is healthy,” says the Florida native. “Overthinking certain situations can reduce the losses you take in life.” It’s difficult to argue with the versatile artist, producer, CEO, and hustler. His singular ability to blend witty punchlines, vulnerable verses, and melodic croons into captivating rap/R&B/pop hybrids has resonated with his growing fanbase for years. After a stint in his youth writing for fellow Broward County artist Jason Derulo, Hollywood released a successful independent debut Sorry for This in 2016 and then signed with Quality Control Music for 2018’s FINALLY!. The whole way, he’s held to his ever-skeptical mentality, which has now afforded him the space and close-knit creative circle to create his most honest and mature album to date the forthcoming Only the Paranoid Survive. The album is a document of Hollywood’s growth as he perfects the art of balancing family, loyalty, and financial gains. Only the Paranoid Survive is a product of the countless hours Hollywood spent holed up in his home studio speaking to the microphone about everything from the pressures and anxieties of the unknown, new fatherhood, and avoiding people who he doesn’t trust.  The emotions he spills don’t feel born of negativity, but of self-preservation through his worries, he’s learning how to thrive.

ALESSO_CHASING STARS from Kevin Young, Astralwerks for use by 360 Magazine

ALESSO × MARSHMELLO × JAMES BAY — CHASING STARS

GRAMMY-nominated producer and dance artist Alesso joins forces with Marshmello featuring GRAMMY nominated singer-songwriter and guitarist James Bay for the invigorate release of “Chasing Stars” – a sublime and soulful new uplifting single that finds each superstar at the top of his game. Out now via 10:22PM/Astralwerks, “Chasing Stars” is accompanied by a wildly imaginative video that succinctly captures the song’s mood of dreamy nostalgia. Listen here and check out the video here.

A beautifully detailed look back at a broken relationship, “Chasing Stars” opens on a poignant, piano-accompanied vocal performance from Bay (who also created the single’s enchanting artwork). From there, Alesso and Marshmello work their undeniable magic, layering in driving beats and folk-infused guitar work before building to a heart-stopping drop. Equal parts bittersweet and euphoric, “Chasing Stars” then transforms into a full-tilt anthem, its chorus lit up in gloriously soaring synth lines that perfectly reflect the track’s no-regrets sentiment.

Directed by Jake Jelicich (Dua Lipa, Niall Horan), the fantastically surreal visual for “Chasing Stars” finds Bay working the counter at a video store and scanning through a stack of VHS tapes. As the video unfolds, he becomes more and more mesmerized by the deeply intimate, home-movie-like scenes onscreen – and by the beguiling woman who appears in each tape – and soon ends up fully transported into those memories. In a particularly clever twist, the video store’s walls are plastered with posters bearing images of Alesso and Marshmello. In addition, a number of the VHS sleeves also feature Alesso and Marshmello, brilliantly stylized in classic B-movie aesthetic.

“Chasing Stars” arrives as the follow-up to PROGRESSO VOL 2, a long-anticipated two-track release that Alesso shared in early June. The second installment in a series that began with 2019’s ALESSO MIXTAPE – PROGRESSO VOLUME 1, the release includes “TOGETHER” (a massively catchy floor-filler) and “AGAIN” (a forward-thinking techno track that also harkens back to rave classics).

About Alesso

A global maverick in the dance world, Alesso has repeatedly proven that his influence transcends boundaries and crosses over into countless genres – to that end, he’s collaborated with such eclectic artists as OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder, Calvin Harris, Tove Lo, Liam Payne, Swedish House Mafia’s, Sebastian Ingrosso, Hailee Steinfeld, Florida Georgia Line, Anitta, and more. With his past hits including the platinum-certified “If I Lose Myself” and gold-certified “Under Control,” the Sweden native has also found major success with “Calling (Lose My Mind),” which topped the Billboard US Hot Dance Club Songs chart. On Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, his massive breakup anthem “Let Me Go” – collaboration with Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line – reached No. 9, while “Is That Me” peaked at No. 25. In 2020, he released a pair of hit singles: “Midnight,” featuring former One Direction member Liam Payne, and “THE END” with goth-pop singer/songwriter Charlotte Lawrence. To date, he’s performed at international festivals ranging from Tomorrowland to Ultra Music Festival to Electric Daisy Carnival, with his national TV experience including closing out GMA’s Summer Concert Series, performing on The Late Late Show with James Corden, and taking the stage at the AMAs.

About Marshmello

Marshmello’s star continues to rise as the famously masked artist breaks boundaries across the industry. With chart-topping singles and collaborations with the likes of Juice WRLD, Halsey, Demi Lovato, Bastille, Kane Brown, Selena Gomez, Jonas Brothers, and more. Marshmello has clocked almost a staggering 10.5 billion streams across Spotify alone, and with almost 45 million monthly listeners on the platform, he’s one of the top 30 most streamed artists in the world on Spotify and the third most subscribed artist on YouTube. Featured on the cover of the Forbes magazine “30 Under 30” issue Marshmello has proved to not only be an innovative producer, but a forward-thinking businessman. With his own brand of chocolate-filled marshmallows (“Stuffed Puffs”), he’s also launched a children’s entertainment channel Mellodees. Most recently Marshmello collaborated with the Jonas Brothers on their early summer smash “Leave Before You Love Me” which peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100.

About James Bay

For as much as James Bay upholds traditions of timeless songcraft, the UK singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer also confidently challenges himself and popular music. He spikes a tried-and-true style with clever lyricism, honest confessions, and instrumental proficiency. On the heels of his platinum- certified 2015 debut Chaos And The Calm, he garnered GRAMMY nods in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Rock Album, and Best Rock Song for the gold-selling single “Hold Back The River.” Meanwhile, “Let It Go” went triple platinum. Nominated for dozens of awards, he took home two BRIT Awards, two Q Awards, and top honors at the Ivor Novello Awards and ECHO Awards. Tallying nearly 7.5 billion streams by 2021, he has performed on Saturday Night Live,&#a0;The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, and Late Night with Seth Meyers. He also notably duetted with icons such as Alicia Keys on The Voice and Mick Jagger while supporting The Rolling Stones at Twickenham Stadium in London. In addition to selling out shows on four continents, Epiphone honored him with his own limited-edition James Bay Signature “1966” guitar. Following the success of 2018’s Electric Light, he deconstructed his sound to its bare essentials on the Oh My Messy Mind EP a year later hitting nearly 500 million global streams. It yielded the hit “Peer Pressure” feat. Julia Michaels], generating over 300 million global streams, received critical acclaim from Time, Rolling Stone, and Billboard and the next year saw James opening up for “Sheeran on his 2019 record-breaking stadium run. This year, he guested on Maisie Peter’s song “Funeral,” which was featured on the soundtrack to Apple TV+ original series Trying: Season2.

Boslen – Dusk to Dawn

BOSLEN RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM DUSK to DAWN

LISTEN HERE

FEATURES INCLUDE TYLA YAWEH, VORY, DRO KENJI, RASCALZ, & CHARMAINE

Redefining what Black music can look, feel and sound like – FADER

Boslen is on a clear cut path for international stardom – Lyrical Lemonade

Vancouver-bred genre-defying artist Boslen shares his debut album DUSK to DAWN. The 22-year-old rapper’s first body of work since signing to Capitol Records in partnership with Chaos Club Digital, DUSK to DAWN showcases Boslen’s eclectic and forward-thinking brand of alt-hip-hop, as well as his deeply reflective approach to storytelling. Listen HERE.

Featuring guest spots from Tyla Yaweh, Vory, Dro Kenji, Rascalz, and Charmaine, DUSK to DAWN draws its undeniable power from Boslen’s boundary-pushing vocal experiments, shapeshifting transitions, and heavier production than he’s attempted before. After opening on the soulful minimalism of DUSK, the album cycles through an entire spectrum of textures and moods, ultimately arriving at the beautifully warped DAWN. Naming hyper-creative artists like Kid Cudi among his main inspirations, Boslen notes that DUSK to DAWN emerged from a desire to explore how vulnerability and self-empowerment can co-exist.

On this album more than anything, I was the most vulnerable I’ve ever been on a project, Boslen stated in a recent interview with Flaunt Magazine. I really took risks and I really took my time. It can be a cinematic experience for anybody to resonate with. You can have a song that you can sit there and think about, but the very next song you can rage out like at a festival or on a stage.

Executive-produced by justsayin, DUSK to DAWN features a number of previously released singles, including TRIP (praised by Atwood Magazine as a smoldering song full of soaring, woozy psychedelia and raw lyricism), DENY feat. Tyla Yaweh (a pop-punk-inspired track that inspired HotNewHipHop to hail Boslen as one of Canada’s most exciting hip-hop exports), and QUARTZ feat. Charmaine (deemed ferocious by Flaunt). See below for the complete tracklist to DUSK to DAWN.

A fast-rising artist with a proven track record of boldly defying genre barriers, Boslen first burst onto the scene with his acclaimed 2018 mixtape Motionless. DUSK to DAWN marks his first new project since the Black Lotus EP, a 2019 effort that peaked at #11 on the Canadian Apple Music streaming charts.

ABOUT BOSLEN

Boslen is a born trailblazer. The 22-year-old hip-hop experimenter lives in Vancouver, and the city’s people have become key to the way he understands himself and his art. A land of contrasts, snowy peaks and warm water, beautiful nature, and busy streets, it’s the perfect home for an artist who reconciles disparate energies, weaving together styles and sounds that don’t intuitively connect. DUSK to DAWN, his Capitol Records debut, furthers this adventurous approach, mixing trap, pop, punk, and rock melodies, and it’s also directly inspired by his city, a place that drives him to be different, to achieve greatness when no one expects him to. Boslen first emerged as an artist in 2018, when he dropped out of school, moved to North Vancouver, and released the Motionless and Motionless II mixtapes. He found his footing in 2019 with the energetic, confrontational songs Eye for an Eye and Hidden Nights, which garnered millions of streams. In 2019, he released the Black Lotus EP, but even with so many songs out in the world, DUSK to DAWN feels like a step forward, full of boundary-pushing vocal experiments, heavier production, and shapeshifting transitions. The music finally matches the tumultuous emotions he’s captured in his lyrics all along. He may not be able to pull every listener into Vancouver, but he’s using the city’s contrasts as a backdrop to challenge everyone to think beyond themselves, to dream big.

Malachiii – Love Me

MALACHIII CONFRONTS HARD QUESTIONS ON DEBUT MOTOWN SINGLE & VIDEO LOVE ME

LISTEN HERE

WATCH HERE

Today, rising singer, rapper, songwriter and producer Malachiii opens his heart with the release of Love Me, his debut single with Motown Records. Listen HERE. On the track, the 25-year-old Southern California artist asks the burning questions that arise when you’re coming of age and falling in love: Will you be there when it rains, when it snows? / Will you be there when I’m out of control? Watch the video HERE.

The first verse subtly draws listeners inward with lo-fi trap vibes and Malachiii’s softly delivered bars, building momentum before his voice starts to soar. The chorus gets vulnerable as he declares that he doesn’t want a partner’s adoration just to feed his ego, he needs love and support to ease his mind.

Everything about this song feels so timely and full-circle. In a literal sense, it represents need to have someone that will take me as I am and love me unconditionally through this rollercoaster that is my life, says Malachiii, Symbolically, it represents the new journey ahead and all of the unknowns that come with launching my career as an artist and sharing my art with the world in the ways that I’ve always dreamed of.

This new song marks a transitional moment in Malachiii’s life and career. Although Love Me isn’t his first solo single, he dropped the brash rap cut WYM?! last September, it’s a bold step forward in terms of both artistic maturity and scale. It’s his first release on Motown, hallowed ground for truly emotional songwriters. This follows him signing a publishing deal with Electric Feel. But now, with the release of Love Me, Malachiii is demonstrating what’s truly special about his own music, showing the world his truest self, and preparing for his songs to start resonating around the world.

About Malachiii

Malachiii knows joy. Over the last few years, the young singer, rapper, and producer from Southern California has demonstrated an affection for elastic flows, buoyant rhythms, and melodies lit by a magic-hour glow. This ecstatic energy has made his take on pop, rap, and R&B infectious, but what makes it most special is his willingness to engage in heavy themes with a maturity and grace that belies his age. On songs like Love Me, his debut single with Motown Records, he sings and spits grinning bars, but he also ponders big questions. He’s come to understand that while his ultimate goal is to emit love, light, positivity, and good vibes, it’s most important to stay true to the real depths of his experience, even if it’s not always sunshine and rainbows. Malachiii grew up with the urge to perform, but it was after going on tour with GRAMMY-winning composer AR Rahman at the age of 14 that he felt inspired to write and produce his own music. Over the years, his ability to translate relatable emotions into hooks earned him a publishing deal with Electric Feel (Post Malone, Iann Dior, 24KGoldn), which only bolstered his writing and producing efforts. Now, beginning with Love Me, he’s stepping into the spotlight in his own right, with the hope that his artistry will continue to resonate with listeners. There’s very few people who have a transcendent impact on music, humanity, and culture as a whole, he says. That’s the type of artist I want to be.

Jordan Hollywood – The Ugly Song

Florida rapper, singer, producer, and hitmaking CEO Jordan Hollywood returns with “The Ugly Song,” the speaker-rattling, Timbaland-featuring lead single from his upcoming album, Only the Paranoid Survive. Listen HERE. Out today on Quality Control Music/Motown Records, the song is accompanied by a captivating, cinematic, and often hilarious music video that finds the artist progressing from the country to the country club. Watch HERE.

“It’s crazy how 20 years ago I enjoyed this song as a kid and now it’s part of my legacy. It’s one thing to get a Timbaland beat or to get him to clear a sample but it’s special when the legend himself steps in the booth with you and adds his touches to your vision,” says Jordan Hollywood. “I never in a million years thought I’d get to work with the hitmaker. With the video I told the director I want this shit to feel like an open world video game where I have freedom to randomly do things my way.’ “The Ugly Song” is just the start.”

An homage to Bubba Sparxxx’s Timbaland-produced single “Ugly,” “The Ugly Song” is a banging reinterpretation that flips the early 2000s classic for a new generation. The instrumental deftly chops Timbaland’s Bollywood-influenced melodies and pairs them with quaking drums and trap percussion. Offering both his blessing and his vocals, Timbaland delivers his signature ad-libs (“ficky ficky”), while Hollywood effortlessly glides over the beat. As ever, Hollywood stuffs his melodic and athletic bars full of witty metaphors: “Snitches they get stitches, they gon’ pick ’em up and sew ’em/Snakes all in my grass, I gotta go outside and mow ’em.” This is Hollywood flexing on his enemies, making it rain in the club to celebrate wins past and present. “The Ugly Song” follows Timbaland’s galvanic VERZUZ battle with Swizz Beatz filled with throwbacks.

The video, directed by Austin McCracken and filmed in Los Angeles, makes liberal use of visual effects (and openly nods to that at the end), dropping Hollywood into a wheat field accompanied by a horse who eventually kicks him in the head. The rapper continues to get knocked into or out of various colorful scenarios. Both the video and the song break from expectation, showing that Hollywood is willing to challenge himself and share a laugh. “The Ugly Song” is Hollywood’s first release since 2019’s “Testament,” wherein he recounted the hurdles he’s endured on his rise.

Jordan Hollywood believes paranoia is integral to his success. “I think being paranoid is healthy,” says the Florida native. “Overthinking certain situations can reduce the losses you take in life.” It’s difficult to argue with the versatile artist, producer, CEO, and hustler. The video showcases the new Canadian wave with the upcoming artists cruising in their luxurious cars putting on for both Vancouver and Toronto.

“QUARTZ” is built on an aggressive rhythm. It’s one of my best flows. Charmaine and I let loose and this song bridges the gap between Toronto and Vancouver’s music scene,” said Boslen.

Produced by justsayin, Stoopid Lou, and Dalton, “Quartz” is the latest offering from a fast-rising artist with a proven track record of boldly defying genre boundaries. This time around, the 22-year-old phenomenon delivers one of his most formidable tracks to date, showing the full force of his commanding vocals and expert wordplay.

About Boslen

Boslen is a 22-year-old trailblazing and genre-bending artist of Jamaican and Indigenous Canadian descent, based in Vancouver. Fusing hip-hop, rock, pop, and everything else under sun to craft his emotive rap ballads and bouncing trap bangers, he’s a sonic architect who meticulously takes part in the production of all his tracks. In 2018 he released his debut mixtape Motionless, then delivered Motionless II later that year. Arriving in early 2019, his single “Eye for an Eye” cemented his spot as a crucial force in the future of Vancouver’s sound. In July 2019, Boslen released “Hidden Nights,” which gained traction after receiving support from popular YouTube channel and entertainment company, the Nelk Boys. From there, Boslen went on to release his Black Lotus EP, which peaked at #11 on the Canadian Apple Music streaming charts. His momentum continued into 2020 with the release of “VULTURES,” a track clapping back at those who were taking advantage of him. As he continues to push himself creatively, Boslen is becoming widely known for his self-reflective lyricism, as well as his ability to seamlessly flow over pop, hip-hop, R&B, and alternative production. Later this year, Boslen will release his debut album DUSK to DAWN.

Project Youngin × Private

Asserting himself as a force to watch in 2021, St. Petersburg, FL rapper Project Youngin unveils the music video for “Private” today. Watch it HERE via Motown Records. It remains a standout from his buzzing mixtape, Bigger Blessings.
On the track, his smooth flow glides right over the beat as his raunchy and voyeuristic verses detail a tryst in motion. The music video brings this story to life as he cruises in a classic car with his lady by his side. The visual intercuts this footage with steamy moments of intimacy, serving up an appropriately NSFW complement to the song. It illuminates his impressive melodic bars and undeniable star power on screen.
Project Youngin has always had to hustle for what he wanted —he learned from an early age that no one would be handing him a damn thing. That’s been true since he was growing up in St. Petersburg, Florida, but even more so since he started making music, honing the complex sound that’s surging through his home state and far beyond. He has an innate ability to blend beautiful melodies and a fluttering flow with drill-inspired darkness, mining the depths of his past for moving, vivid stories. On his 2021 mixtape, Bigger Blessings, Project Youngin lays out his life philosophies. The title is an ode to all the things he’s been through, how many times the odds were a million-to-one and yet he pushed on. He offers up lines about hopping on jets with $50k in a duffle, but there are also songs like “War with Myself,” which wrestles with feelings of betrayal and paranoia. He balances boastful bars and pouring his heart out with ease, letting the emotions flow. This versatility is enabled, in part, by his deal with Motown Records and 100K Management. Finally, Project Youngin is elevated to the same stage as so many modern rap greats —now his labelmates. He’s thrilled to be here, but he’ll never assume his work is done. With the ability to turn sensitive feelings into moving melodies and craft bitter, bristling bars —often on the same tracks, Project Youngin is ready to take the throne among hip-hop’s elite.

Boslen – QUARTZ

Vancouver-bred alt-hip-hop newcomer Boslen shares his latest single, a hard-hitting and hypnotic track called “QUARTZ.” Featuring Zimbabwe-born rapper Charmaine, “QUARTZ” is the third single released from Boslen’s forthcoming debut album DUSK to DAWN, due out later this year. Listen to “QUARTZ” HERE.

Produced by justsayin, Stoopid Lou, and Dalton, “QUARTZ” is the latest offering from a fast-rising artist with a proven track record of boldly defying genre boundaries. This time around, the 22-year-old phenomenon delivers one of his most formidable tracks to date, showing the full force of his commanding vocals and expert wordplay in the lines: “Never needed/No coke/Or pills/Or fat lines/Jokes on you I’m too high, I got the dopamine in my mind.” As “QUARTZ” unfolds in sinister textures and brilliantly warped beats, Charmaine slides in and shows off the fiercely magnetic vocal presence previously glimpsed on her unstoppable debut single “BOLD.”

Revealing his passionate refusal to stay in one lane, “QUARTZ” marks a major departure from Boslen’s recent single “DENY (feat. Tyla Yaweh),” a pop-punk-inspired track detailing a relationship gone wrong. Soon after premiering in March, “DENY” earned praise from the likes of HotNewHipHop, who hailed Boslen as “one of Canada’s most exciting hip-hop exports.” Check out the cinematic visual for “DENY” HERE.

Along with “QUARTZ” and “DENY,” DUSK to DAWN will feature Boslen’s early-2021 single “TRIP,” an R&B-flavored, psychedelia-tinged slow-burner speaking to the sacrifices he’s made to achieve success. The album will arrive as his first new project since the Black Lotus EP, a 2019 effort that peaked at #11 on the Canadian Apple Music streaming charts. Already known for his razor-sharp ability to move fluidly from genre to genre, Boslen is poised to accelerate his eclectic sound even further with the highly anticipated release of DUSK to DAWN.

Emanuel × ALT THERAPY

One of the most anticipated debut R&B albums of the past year, Emanuel’s full-length project ALT THERAPY has been unveiled to the world today via Motown Records & Universal Music Canada.

Before the world experienced moments of great upheaval and change this past year, an unknown new artist in Canada, a son of Ethiopian immigrants, had unknowingly written music that was prophetic to the times. His debut single, the emotionally stirring “Need You”, was released as the global pandemic struck, resonating with people around the world who were forced into isolation. Months later, when the brutal killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Trayvon Martin sparked a worldwide reckoning of systemic racism and racial inequality, Emanuel offered “Black Woman” to the world – his moving ode of reconciliation that honors the majesty of Black women. Last month, as vaccines were distributed and possibility began to take the shape of reality, Emanuel shared his prayer for the future with the release of “Worldwide”. Now, during the week of Juneteenth and one year after the release of his debut EP Session 1: Disillusion, Emanuel celebrates freedom, growth and love with ALT THERAPY, his full-length contribution to the “renaissance of beautiful black art in the world.”

ALT THERAPY is a journey. A narrative of discovering a deep self-awareness and celebrating personal growth, Emanuel’s debut album is the testament of a young man in the process of becoming a great man.

“This album represents a spiritual self-discovery for me,” says Emanuel. “It’s about the nuances of the human experience. I hope ALT THERAPY inspires others to gain understanding about themselves and the world, and that it’s attached to beautiful memories in their lives the way certain music is attached my mine. That would be an honour.”

A collection of 12 songs, ALT THERAPY is home to Emanuel’s two EPs released in 2020, Session 1: Disillusion (nominated for the 2021 Traditional R&B/Soul Recording of the Year JUNO Award) and Session 2: Transformation, as well as six additional songs: the manifestation mantra “Worldwide”, the revelation of new love on “Pillows”, the emotional plea of “I Need a Doctor”, the inner reckoning on “Detention”, the discovery of authentic love on “I Been”, and the rare male R&B duet on “Hindsight” featuring fellow Toronto R&B artist Dylan Sinclair. See the full tracklist below.

Also released today is the visually striking official video for “Worldwide”, a song born out of Emanuel’s deep yearning to take his music, its message and energy, to people around the world while experiencing and absorbing the wisdom of many cultures. Directed by Kit Weyman and Executively Produced by Director X, the video is a visual depiction of Emanuel’s “Worldwide”manifestation mantra.

Emanuel’s talent is indisputable. Discovered by Canadian hip-hop icon Kardinal Offishall, launched by global superstar Idris Elba, signed by legendary R&B record label Motown Records, honored with a JUNO Award nomination for his debut EP, and championed by fans, critics and industry partners alike, Emanuel is one of the most destined new voices in R&B.
