LOUIS THE CHILD – NEW SINGLE “SELF-CARE” WITH MUSIC VIDEO

Today, Chicago-bred production duo Louis The Child releases their brand-new single entitled “Self-Care” with alt-pop band, COIN, along with the music video. Fresh off the heels of their recently released 19-track mixtape, Candy 2, “Self-Care” with COIN is an upbeat, feel-good song that encourages the practice of self-love and the idea that it is acceptable for people to take care of their own needs and to not sacrifice personal well-being in order to please others. Louis The Child’s “Self-Care” with COIN is available now at all digital retail providers via Interscope Records.

Louis The Child says about the track, “When COIN sent us the demo for ‘Self-Care,’, we loved it. It had an infectious, funky vibe and a beautiful message. We were immediately stoked to add our drums, synths, instruments and arrangement ideas and turn the song into a jam! We’re excited for you to hear it. Turn it up and dance!”

COIN notes, “This year, we tried to stop looking left and right before crossing the street (metaphorically). Trust yourself – others won’t until you do. Remove fear and judgment, this year, and maybe forever find inner light and love to beam out to the world. Free your mind. Do it for yourself. The chorus vocal is an iPhone voice memo backstage at a festival in Memphis — mindlessly free. We felt this was perfectly fitting for COIN’s first ever collaboration.”

About Louis The Child

Louis The Child float through electronic, pop, and alternative with wide-eyed wonder, adventurous spirit, and the elation of being present. Since 2013, the Chicago-bred duo—Freddy Kennett and Robby Hauldren—have popped off as a phenomenon streamed upwards of 600 million times and endorsed by pop royalty such as Taylor Swift and Lorde. “Go” notably soundtracked an Apple iPad commercial in 2017, while their breakthrough “Better Not” with WAFIA earned a gold certification from the RIAA and powered the 2018 Kids At Play EP. Along the way, the boys packed hallowed venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO and New York’s Terminal 5 where they sold out a three-night stand. In addition, Louis The Child made explosive appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest, and beyond. Not to mention, they garnered acclaim from Billboard, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, Hypebeast, Dancing Astronaut, covered the Summer 2020 Issue of DJ Times, and more. In 2020, they unveil their full-length debut the aptly titled Here For Now [Interscope]. Over the course of the record, the group deliver 14 anthemic affirmations of a universal truth, including “Every Color” with Foster The People, “Little Things” with Quin XCII and Chelsea Cutler, and the single “Big Love” with EarthGang.

About COIN

Since the arrival of their 2016 breakthrough single “Talk Too Much,” COIN have continually turned out sublimely catchy alt-pop, equally built on effervescent hooks and an understated complexity. With that dynamic earning them a passionate following, the Nashville-based trio have spent much of the past few years bringing their sing-along-heavy live set to frenzied crowds all across the globe. On their latest album, Dreamland, COIN embraced their pop instincts more fully than ever, dreaming up some of their most sonically adventurous yet emotionally direct batch of songs to date.

COIN is currently gearing up to release their new EP Indigo-Violetout on October 22nd. Additionally, it’s the first of a 3-part project called Rainbow MixTape, each conceptualized by moods represented by the colors in the title. The EP’s are set to continue rolling out over the next several months.

About EarthGang

Hailing from Atlanta, GA, EarthGang’s Olu and WowGr8 are the Grammy Award-nominated, Platinum-selling pair who embody the best of the new generation in music — and plenty of critics and fans alike have taken note. Marrying lean, sharp-eyed lyricism with Southern-fried soul, every song arrives fully formed, hitting hard and landing jokes while also delving deep into political issues. Signed to J. Cole’s Intercope imprint, Dreamville, EarthGang first hit a stride with 3-EP project inspired by “The Wiz;” Rags (Scarecrow), Robots (Tinman) and Royalty (the lion). The music saw the duo tour the globe relentlessly supporting J. Cole, Young Thug, Billie Eilish, Mac Miller, Jaden Smith, and more.

In 2019, EarthGang continued their dominance by contributing to the year’s best hip-hop compilation in Revenge of The Dreamers III — which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 charts is RIAA Platinum certified. It shined a spotlight on the pair as they went into the release of their debut major-label album, Mirrorland. The fourteen-track album debuted in the Top 40s of the Billboard 200 charts and #20 in the Rap Albums charts. Featuring special guests Young Thug, T-Pain, Kehlani, Arin Ray, and more — Mirrorland has cemented EarthGang as one of music’s most dynamic forces. Bursting with energy and having garnered a cult-like live following, the ATLiens have been critically praised by the likes of Pitchfork, Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, Hot New Hip Hop, Consequence of Sound, Uproxx, Pigeons & Planes, and more. Stretching beyond the “indie hip-hop” label they’ve been brandished with, EarthGang is ready to reach a wider audience with slick-sharp lyrics that cut through the hazy blur of ratchet rap and an avid interest in never settling, or resting on their laurels.

Today, Chicago-bred production duo Louis The Child release their debut album “Here For Now”, which is comprised of 14 anthemic tracks with features from the likes of EARTHGANG, K.Flay, Foster The People, Bob Moses and more. The album includes recently released track “Nobody Like You” with Vera Blue, the pair’s latest single “Little Things” with Quinn XCII & Chelsea Cutler which has garnered over 20 million combined streams, and previously released track “Free” with Drew Love which has amassed over 25 million combined streams, along with “Every Color” with Foster The People, and “Don’t Mind.” Here For Now is available at all digital retail providers via Interscope Records. Louis The Child says about the album, “There are a few messages throughout the album. Primarily, it’s about realizing and accepting how short this life is, trying to appreciate the moments we get, and finding the magic in every second because we’re only here for now. We wrote songs about the way we view the world. The way we treat each other matters. We can be a positive light. Let’s not stress the small things. Let’s make our experience the best we can for ourselves and everyone around us.”

In celebration of the album’s release, Louis The Child dropped a brand-new line of merchandise. 100% of the proceeds from the merch store sales this week  (June 24 – July 1) will be donated to Chicago’s SaveMoneySaveLife Foundation. Louis The Child says, “All proceeds from merch sold this week will be donated to SaveMoneySaveLife, a Chicago charity founded by Vic Mensa that aims to highlight and empower Black, Indigenous, and People Of Color. Their program Street Medix aims to activate civilians with the knowledge, skills, and equipment to act as first responders to traumatic events, and they host a Know Your Rights workshop to educate people on their basic rights. In the past few months they’ve been providing free COVID-19 emergency supply kits to communities facing economic hardship. The kits contain PPE, toiletries, cleaning supplies, groceries and other necessary items. They have distributed over 47,000 pounds of food and 5,500 Grocery Packages + PPE kits so far.”

Additionally, Louis The Child has teamed up with OneRepublic front man Ryan Tedder’s hemp infused sparkling water, MAD TASTY, for their first-ever capsule collection. Coinciding with the launch of the album, 5,000 Louis The Child x MAD TASTY cans are available for purchase from which 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Sweet Relief Musicians Fund, an organization that is providing immediate assistance to musicians and music industry workers who have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. News of the collaboration broke yesterday via People Magazine in an exclusive interview with Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett of Louis The Child and Ryan Tedder.

Louis The Child

Chicago-bred production duo Louis The Child have shared a brilliantly left-field new single called “Here Comes a Feeling,” with Naomi Wild and London-based musician Couros. Released via Interscope Records and available through all digital retailers, “Here Comes a Feeling” marks the start of an artistically adventurous new era for L.A.-based musicians/producers Robby Hauldren and Freddy Kennett.

Listen to “Here Comes a Feeling” by Louis The Child with Naomi Wild & Couros HERE.

Featuring a mesmerizing vocal performance from Naomi Wild —an L.A.-based singer/songwriter known for her work with Odesza (“Higher Ground”) and Machine Gun Kelley (“Glass House”) — “Here Comes a Feeling” finds Louis The Child redefining the boundaries of dance music and evolving into entirely new sonic terrain. With its expansive palette and experimental sound design, the track hints at the major cultural shifts in store for the duo in 2020.

Says Louis The Child, “We started this beat with Couros on a day off in London. We had never met before but ended up staying at the studio until 6am working on this and a few other beats. When we left the studio we were super happy with what we made, it felt experimental and like controlled chaos. When we got back to LA we hopped in the studio with Naomi Wild and Blaise Railey. We played them that beat and they immediately wanted to write something to it. It’s one of our favorite productions we’ve ever made, and one of our favorite songs we’ve made too. We hope you feel the same”

Last weekend, Louis The Child wrapped up their widely acclaimed Here For Now North American headlining tour. In a departure from past performances, the tour featured live production from Hauldren and Kennett, adding a whole new vitality to their set. Among the tour’s sold-out dates were three consecutive nights at New York City’s Terminal 5 and their third annual Friendsgiving show in Chicago. With more dates lined up for 2020, Louis The Child will continue to elevate their live set with the addition of their exciting new material.

Growing up in suburban New Jersey, 22-year-old singer, songwriter and producer Jeremy Zucker has always been surrounded by music. As a child, he took piano and guitar lessons and formed a band with two friends from elementary school. By high school, he was writing lyrics and producing songs for other people. Eventually, Zucker recorded a rough demo, which became his first real release beach island in the summer of 2015. He followed it with breathe in the fall of that same year as a freshman at Colorado College pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology. He cranked out songs in his dorm room and released them over Soundcloud—one every week. He later transferred them over to Spotify, where breathe’s lead single “Bout It” became the catalyst, hitting Spotify’s Discover Weekly playlist.

From there Zucker released motions in 2017 and performed at his first sold-out show at The Studio of Webster Hall that summer. Following the massive streaming success of his 2017 single “talk is overrated” featuring blackbear, 2018’s intensely personal EP glisten delivered the groundbreaking song “all the kids are depressed,” the first widespread glimpse into Zucker’s songwriting ethos. The track has over 30 million Spotify streams to date and its powerful video, directed by Drew Kirsch (Felix Jaehn, blackbear, Louis the Child, Quinn XCII), has over 5 million views to date. In May, he graduated from Colorado College and put his degree aside to finally pursue his dream of making music.
