Los Santos Tuners brings together the best of underground street racing culture, high-octane GTA action anchored by a new social space, the LS Car Meet, in which players can get together and show off or modify their cars, test new rides, go head-to-head in races and much more, including the chance to run into Kenny.
No stranger to the redline scene in real life, Moodymann’s Kenny character bridges Moody’s real-life love of cars with his in-game character, who plays a pivotal role in the automotive subculture storyline of Los Santos Tuners as Kenny and his partner-in-crime, Sessanta, are looking for the city’s best drivers to assist with a string of epic robberies and car boosts across the city.
Alongside guiding players through a series of action-packed missions, Kenny is also keen to share some new music: “Kenny’s Backyard Boogie Mix,” a potent cocktail of house, soul, hip-hop and more, featuring new and exclusive Moodymann tracks including collaborations with Channel Tres, Nez featuring Gangsta Boo, and Jessie Johnson, guitarist from Prince’s band, The Time – plus a host of classic tracks new and old. Players who visit Kenny at the LS Car Meet will be able to discover the mix on media stick and add it to their in-game radio dial.
Eagle-eyed fans will also spot Moody’s real life Born x Raised jacket on his character worn exclusively in-game, with additional Born x Raised designs available to players in this new collaboration with LA’s own streetwear label.
“She’s got an attack in her flow, juxtaposed with a finesse in her lyricism and a hunger in her vocal tone. Her family gave her traditions, Toronto shaped her, and California helped form her sound.” – Toronto Guardian
Toronto-based queer alt-hip hop artist, Lex Leosis, shares her EP, Terracotta, today– just in time for peak summer vibes. The now Tiktok rap battle champ is also debuting a brand new video for “That Feel,” which shows an easy, breezy afternoon of skating in the sunshine. Leosis’ signature attitude is in full force in video with her lioness hair, long nails and high energy.
“That Feel” feels like a celebration, and this new release deserves exactly that. The video was shot in both Los Angeles and Toronto. Director, Yohalmo, who is embedded into longboard communities in LA, shot all the California scenes. He brought together the cast and both main characters Shannen Soriano and Laura Paragano. Director, Sharleen Meinke, who also directed the “Wanted” official video, shot Leosis’ parts in Toronto.
The previously released single and outlaw anthem, “Wanted,” arrived with an icon Thelma and Louise-inspired video. The debut single from the project was the sunny, tropical-beat infused, “Won’t Wait,” which showcased a breezy, bouncy beat under Leosis’ vulnerable lyrics and she yearns for real talk and love, but not at the expense of self-worth.
“Won’t Wait” and “Wanted” were produced by Rainer Blanchaer (Drake, The Weeknd, French Montana, The 1975), who is an executive producer on the whole EP. Having met through Leosis’ roommate, Blanchaer became a pandemic pal, and one of the only people she’s seen consistently during lockdown. They’ve used their time making music together in Leosis’ bedroom studio and the result is Terracotta. Describing the new EP, she says:
“In the Terracotta pots process, clay starts by being refined and molded. Through fire, time, and attention to detail…the terracotta pot is complete. I wrote this project through the pandemic. I was coming off releasing “Mythologies” (March 2020) and I was sad that I had to cancel a lot of my roll-out plans. No interviews, shows/tours or celebrations. I put my whole heart into that project and to see that I couldn’t continue my rollout because of the pandemic was a big blow. Instead of letting it defeat me, I decided that it would make me stronger and that I would use this time to rebuild.”
Creating a space to make music in her bedroom, she decided on a re-design for her space to inspire her creatively. She says, “I started looking into color palettes that would inspire the re-design…and there it was Terracotta. The summer had passed and it was getting colder and we were all aware of what was about to happen. Locked down in the cold with little sun. Like a lot of other people, my mental health doesn’t do well in these conditions. My bedroom design had to be warm, it had to be bright and happy. It had to channel summer. The vision of summer 2021 represented a time where this might all be over and things may be better.”
She adds, “So as the pieces of my bedroom start to come together, so does this project. My space is giving me the energy I need to focus every day. I immediately started learning instruments (piano and MPD). The Terracotta bedspread becomes the place I write “Won’t Wait.” I started daily meditation and writing a verse every day. I was lying down on my geometric gray rug when I came up with the hook for “Reality.” I start working out more and envisioning my live show. I was surrounded by plants in terracotta pots when I penned “That Feel.” Then at the end of this writing period, I have a warm, bright home space, at the exact same time as I have this incredible project. One year later and I’m a completely different person.”
Leosis also admits, “The EP definitely had a muse. Someone I really love and has consistently inspired me. This EP details all the feelings I’ve had about them, and consequently, about myself over the last year.” A dedication to the softness that quarantine created in her, a part of herself she didn’t have time to look at before, she also had time to dig through her grandfather’s old jazz records that she loved as a kid. When he passed in 2009, the records were given to her but had been dusty until Covid made her slow way down. The piano, saxophones and live drums on those records inspired the live elements on the new EP and Leosis says, “He had this foresight to leave those to me. We used to sit in his car outside our house and just listen to Jazz and I loved music as a kid.”
Between her quality time with Rainer, her grandfather’s records and her time to be with herself, she found a way to channel summer’s warmth, growth and freedom into 6 tracks. Terracotta is out everywhere now.

Just days before the release of his new album, DREAMLAND 2021, ZHU unveils the richly cinematic track, Yours, feat. Arctic Lake. ZHU’s pensive keyboards shift to a simmering rhythm as he and UK alt-pop artist Arctic Lake who recently joined him on the Astralwerks roster trade vocals, evoking the uneasy tension between love in the moment and the aching for love everlasting. Mitch Bell (THEY., Tame Impala), who served as guitarist/musical director for ZHU’s 2016 NEON CITY tour, adds searing guitar. The three artists wrote the track together. Listen HERE.
The official video, directed by Yan Bokhanovich and produced by Daniel Shapovalov, takes inspiration from the classic Alfred Hitchcock film Rear Window and further explores the voyeurism of ZHU’s ONLY video. From the recesses of ZHU’s mind, the plot unfolds as two girls begin dancing in an apartment. As other characters emerge from nearby streets and buildings, they become entranced, then obsessed with watching the girls. View YoursHERE.

With clubs closed for the foreseeable future and live music on pause, Disclosure continue to find new ways to connect with their fans. They’ve live-streamed from Guy’s house during their popular Kitchen Mix parties, hosted tutorials on Twitch, and partnered with Cercle to DJ from a cliff in Croatia, but on the release day of their ecstatic new album ENERGY, they’re inviting friends and fans to experience something even more unique. With the help of design collective Blockworks alongside Island Records, they’ve created an immersive meta-verse within Minecraft inspired by the vibrant world of their new record. Minecraft is one of the world’s most successful computer games with 126 million monthly active players. View the trailer for Disclosure’s ‘ENERGY Minecraft Experience HERE.
On ENERGY’s release date, August 28, fans can join Disclosure’s dedicated server in the video game and discover a square mile of rolling hills, roiling streams, and dark caverns, all of which come together in a stunning mosaic to replicate ENERGY’s earthy cover art. Deep in the caves under the land’s surface are three (literally) underground clubs inspired by iconic venues around the world, plus Guy Lawrence’s kitchen as seen in previous live streams. As players explore the realm made up of over 100 million blocks, they’ll have a chance to do some digital crate-digging, hunting for 13 hidden records including 8-bit reworks of some of the duo’s most-loved tracks.
The server will be live for a week, after which a version of the Minecraft map will be available for download. During that week, the land will evolve and change—a feature meant to echo the themes found on ENERGY, which deals in part with environmental concerns like reforestation and ocean repopulation. Like the record—which features hip-house ragers like the Aminé and slowthai-featuring “My High” alongside sunnier, uplifting cuts like “Douha (Mali Mali)”—the DisclosureMinecraft server is meant to be diverse and full of life. Never static, never simple.
In addition to scattering hidden songs around the map, Disclosure will also soundtrack the experience with a megamix featuring material from ENERGYand classics from across their catalog, offering fans a truly immersive way to experience this new chapter in their career.
A decade on from their debut single, Guy and Howard Lawrence are still finding new ways to fill their delightful dance tracks with euphoric new energies. Whether it’s through working with a vivid array of collaborators like Mick Jenkins, Channel Tres, Kehlani, and Kelis (all of whom appear on ENERGY, among many others), or pushing the boundaries of their textured productions, they’re constantly evolving, which is a huge part of what’s made them exciting to critics and fans alike. Even as much of the real world remains stuck inside, Disclosure are continuing to offer what they have since the very beginning: new worlds to explore.
Today sees London-born songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist SG Lewis link up with legendary artists Robyn and Channel Tres for his brand new single ‘Impact’, out now via Republic Records in North America. ‘Impact’ premiered last night as Annie Mac’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 in the U.K and is a summer smash in waiting, with an addictive club-ready groove and mesmerizing vocals from both Robyn and Channel Tres.
“Impact is possibly my favorite record I’ve ever been a part of” says SG Lewis: “The chemistry between Channel and Robyn is so powerful, and creates something so unique. Channel is an artist I believe will go on to create a musical legacy as important as the one Robyn has already created, and to have the two of them on this record together is insane. Working with my good friend TEED again on the production is amazing, as he is truly a production hero of mine. I hope it provides some release and euphoria in a time where it’s hard to come by.”
“Impact is about how someone can come into your life and completely change you either for better or worse.” says Channel Tres; “In this instance it was for the better and I’m going through the emotions of denying something that’s obviously good for me but the hurt I’ve been through in my past causes me to put up defense mechanisms. While I’m putting up the defenses, the person trying to love me pursues me consistently and this impacts my life in so many ways.”
Of the track, Robyn adds: “Sam made this instant thing, it´s a special skill to make a song that hits you right away the way Impact does. The track just gave me the feels and it wasn´t hard to write a chorus to it, especially with Channels vocals on there already. Channel Tres came on tour with us last year so I know how strong he is on stage and hopefully some time in the future we will get to be on stage together, with Sam, performing this song.”
‘Impact’ follows ‘Chemicals’ as the second single to be taken from SG Lewis’ yet-to-be-announced debut album, due later this year. ‘Chemicals’ saw SG taking center stage on vocals as well as production, accumulating over 12 million streams since release. The two singles follow the three-chapter concept EP Dusk, Dark, Dawn, with collaborators including Clairo,T.E.E.D., AlunaGeorge and Ruel. The project serves as a tribute to club and youth culture and chronicles the trajectory of a night out through its different moods and genres, having now broken past 200 million streams. While Dusk (early 2018) blends disco, smooth electro and funk and Dark (late 2018) explores distinctly heavier yet still diverse sounds, Dawn (2019) is a sonic embodiment of those euphoric sunrise moments and the feeling of togetherness at the end of a night well spent.
2019 also saw SG Lewis sell-out headline shows across North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe as well as playing prime slots at Coachella and Glastonbury, cementing his status as not just one of London’s hottest new talents but also a formidable artist capable of making a splash on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.
SG has recently collaborated with Aluna, Victoria Monet,Raye,Ray BLK, The Neptunes/N.E.R.D’sChad Hugo, Gerd Janson, Conducta and more as well as producing ‘Hallucinate’ on Dua Lipa’s record-smashing album Future Nostalgiaand Dave’s ‘100M’s’, proving his worth as one of the most respected and prolific musicians from the UK. SG’s ever-growing catalog both as a collaborator and with his solo tracks showcases his abilities as a producer capable of working beyond the limits of genre and style.
‘Impact’ (Feat. Robyn and Channel Tres) is out everywhere now.
