SG LEWIS’ 2022 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Following the release of his new double A-Side single, ‘Missing You’ / ‘Something About Your Love, London-based singer-songwriter, producer and DJ, SG Lewis, has announced a new run of North American Tour dates. The 20-date tour will kick off October 6 in Boston, making stops in BrooklynWashington DCTorontoChicagoAtlantaDallasSalt Lake CityLos AngelesSeattle and more, before concluding in Portland, OR on November 12.

Speaking about getting back out on the road, SG Lewis reveals, “After years of tentative touring and cautious planning, I’m unbelievably excited to finally announce my first full US tour since 2019. I’m buzzing to be playing in some cities I’ve wanted to visit for so long, and so excited to bring you a completely new live show.

The local presale begins tomorrow, Wednesday July 13th at 10 AM, through Thursday July 14th at 10 PM local time, followed by an exclusive Spotify Presale on Thursday, 10 AM – 10 PM local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, July 15th at 10 AM local time. For a full list of upcoming live dates and to purchase tickets, please visit www.sglewismusic.com.

These headlining dates will follow his previously announced live shows this summer, including his return to the beloved Palm Springs pool party festival Splash House on Saturday, August 13, and festival performances at Life Is Beautiful Festival in Las Vegas (TICKETS) on Friday, September 16 and the Portola Festival in San Francisco (TICKETS) on Sunday September 25.

Last week, SG Lewis returned with two brand new singles: the nocturnal dancefloor-filler ‘Missing You‘ and the italo-influenced anthem ‘Something About Your Love.’ Right out of the gate, ‘Missing You,’ which The FADER hailed as an “80s synth-rave carried on the back of a snappy Linn drum-sprinkled beat that would make Starboy-era The Weeknd salivate,” reaches for dancefloor glory with its shimmering synths and neon bass line, nodding to eighties new wave with a chantable chorus, “I’m not missing you like I’m supposed to.” On the flip side, ‘Something About Your Love‘ fuses a funk-inflected bass line and tambourine with a luminous refrain. The release was celebrated by Dancing Astronaut, who said “Altogether, Missing You / Something About Your Love affirms SG Lewis‘ status as a musical auteur with a knack for merging the sounds of earlier decades with today’s sonics in an ever novel, dance floor-facing fashion.” Both tracks are available to buy/stream as a double A-side single today via Astralwerks.

Listen to ‘Missing You / Something About Your Love’ HERE.

Ushering in a brand-new chapter, the 70s and 80s have provided a rich seam of inspiration for contemporary artists like SG Lewis (real name Sam Lewis) and nowhere is this more potent than today’s releases. Missing You‘ illuminates Lewis‘ unmatched ability to take underground club music somewhere fresh and towards a new generation and reaches for dancefloor glory with its shimmering synths and neon bass line, nodding to eighties new wave in timeless pop ecstasy. On the other end of the spectrum, the Daft Punk inspired Something About Your Love‘ showcases 70s-era drums, a funk-inflected bass hook, disco-styled groove, and a luminous refrain. Both tracks are classic but deeply contemporary cuts with one suited to the adrenaline rush of your wildest night out, and the other to the blissful ride home at sunrise. This duality is a theme that permeates SG Lewis‘ new era.

Speaking about ‘Missing You,‘ SG Lewis reveals, “Conceptually, it felt like the perfect introduction. It’s a story about temptation and dwindling fear. Your eyes are wandering.” On ‘Something About Your Love,’ SG adds “It’s no secret I’m a massive Daft Punk fan. It’s the closest thing I’ve ever made to a tribute to them. I was listening to Discovery a lot, and there’s a specific technique to it. I chopped up the sample of these seventies keys and drums. It came together easily. Lyrically, It’s a pure confession of admiration for someone. It’s the perfect contrast to ‘Missing You’.

The new tracks follow on from Sam’s debut record times, released during lockdown last year, which found one of modern pop’s secret weapons stepping out front and center, taking listeners on a voyage through soaring electronic dance and kaleidoscopic future disco with a blockbuster collection of guests. Features included Robyn and Channel Tres on ‘Impact‘ (“a house track so physical your feet may begin to move involuntarily,” according to NPR), Nile Rodgers on ‘One More‘ and Lucky Daye on fan favorite Feed The Fire.’ The album received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Pitchfork (who hailed it as “a pristine album”), NPR, Billboard, NME, GQ and much more, with LP highlight track ‘Chemicals‘ amassing over 55 million Spotify streams and counting, catapulting SG Lewis‘ total stream count to over 1.4 billion.

SG Lewis has cemented his status as one music’s most sought-after producers and has collaborated with the likes of Elton John, Dua Lipa, Clairo, Tove Lo, Khalid, Aluna, Victoria Monet, Raye, Ray BLK, The Neptunes/N.E.R.D’s Chad Hugo, Gerd Janson, Conducta + many more. Louis Vuitton also launched their pre-Fall campaign with Soulwax’s remix of ‘Impact’ earlier this month and Sam is well regarded in fashion circles, attending, and performing an array of parties across his illustrious career. Behind the scenes, he also produced Dave’s seminal breakout track 100’M’s’ and co-wrote ‘Hallucinate‘ for Dua Lipa‘s record-smashing number one album, Future Nostalgia. Sam has sold out headline shows across the US, Asia, Australia, and Europe as well as multiple festival appearances including prime-time slots at Coachella and Glastonbury – his raucous live shows not only make him one of London’s hottest talents, but also a formidable artist capable of making a splash on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.

Capitol Records's Mabel releases 2nd Album via 360 MAGAZINE

MABEL – ALN

Mabel today announces plans for her second album ‘About Last Night…’, which will be released on Capitol Records on July 15. The immersive project was teased last week with new track ‘Overthinking’ (ft. 24kGoldn) and features the euphoric first single ‘Let Them Know’‘Good Luck’ & more to come.

‘About Last Night….’ follows the Brit Award winner’s debut album ‘High Expectations’, which saw Mabel’s catalogue surpass 4.5 billion streams, 8 million singles sold (and twelve top 20s) plus 2.5 million adjusted album sales.

Mabel will be performing June 4 on at Buckingham Palace for Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee concert celebrating Her Majesty’s 70 years on the throne. Mabel will join Diana Ross, Queen + Adam Lambert, Alicia Keys, Duran Duran, Andrea Bocelli, Jax Jones, and Nile Rodgers among others.

Conceived by Mabel as the world went into lockdown – and completed as life IRL picks up pace – ‘About Last Night…’ is a vivid and hyperreal journey from the anticipated beginnings to the messy end of the best night out that never was. Each track transports the minutiae– getting ready to go out; feeling invincible; clocking an ex; crying in the bathroom; stumbling home – and transforms the normality into the magical.

Throughout, Mabel once again switches up her effortless way with modern pop: influences span the liberated euphoria of noughties club-culture (dance-pop, house, translatlantic R&B) with deeper themes of expression and inclusion as gained from obsessively re-watching ‘Paris Is Burning’, ‘Pose’ and ‘Drag Race’ during lockdown. It’s this emotional space that (in Mabel’s own words) “brought her back to life” – here is a young woman processing her own, life-changing formative years growing up in the public eye, and taking charge of her narrative through this fantastical space.

The feel-good blueprint of ‘About Last Night’ was conceived between Mabel’s West London home, Angelic studios in Oxford, and some of Los Angels’ most inspiring creative spaces (including the former hilltop residence of Frank Sinatra). Early on in the process, Mabel began to assemble a collective of creatively aligned collaborators including friends and frequent songwriting partners Raye, MNEK, Kamille and Jax Jones. Impressed by his work with childhood hero Robyn on ‘Impact’, Mabel also teamed up with new faces like SG Lewis, before completing the project between lockdowns in the US with collaborators from pop’s top table: Stargate (Rihanna, Katy Perry), Tommy Brown (Ariana Grande, Victoria Monet), Jozzy (Beyoncé, Lil Nas X) and Aldae (Justin Bieber).

Mabel first teased what she had been working on with first single ‘Let Them Know – an unapologetic anthem about dressing up with nowhere to go, and projecting confidence for anyone who needs it. ‘Good Luck’ distilled influences of heartbreak and female solidarity into perfectly realised pop, before the darker side of ‘About Last Night…’ was previewed on ‘Overthinking’: an escapist but unflinchingly honest snapshot of when nightlife meets social anxiety, and how to find your way back to yourself.

The Mabel of 2022 is a young woman living in full and self-actualised power, intent on making music that will empower anyone who needs it. ‘About Last Night…’ focuses on the tiny, fleeting choices that constitute a big night out – but also those decisions that can be truly life-changing. Here is a record essentially about learning to live for the moment, and the hard-won wisdom that whatever there is to say ‘About Last Night…’ can wait until tomorrow, when the sun will come up again.

Col3trane's Logan Paul via The Forefront Group for use by 360 Magazine

Col3trane – Logan Paul

Rising R&B singer-songwriter Col3trane drops new single “Logan Paul” along with a music video. This latest release follows “Plus Minus” featuring Erick the Architect, continuing the build-up for Col3trane’s upcoming album “Lush Life.” The visuals for this feel-good track were directed by Tom Emmerson who also brought us “Californication.”  Deriving inspiration from a night back in 2019 when a young Col3trane ended up at a party at the one and only Logan Paul‘s house, the music video follows a story that people can be inauthentic, plastic, and fake.

Listen to the song HERE. Watch the music video HERE.

“Logan Paul is written about a time in 2019 I went to a party at Logan Paul’s house. Or maybe his brother’s house. I’m still not sure. It talks about the insane things that you see at parties in LA. The plasticity of the environment and the fact that nothing feels real at all,” says Col3trane.

“There was everything that you could have ever wanted at a party. Free food, drinks, dancers, DJs (even though the music was awful). But the environment was so uncomfortable. People walking around their own party with shades on and a camera crew following them, everyone pretending that they’re cooler than everybody else. All for what? To make a video to post online,” Col3trane adds. “It was really strange so I wrote a song about it. Embellishing the actual party of course, but the lyrics really describe what it felt like. I went to Barcelona to shoot the video and tried to recreate what the party really felt like. The boxing aspect of the video and the party. It felt like I was completely lost. Hope the song and video reflect that.”

About Col3trane

Col3trane‘s bubbling career first rose to the surface with the release of his 2017 mixtape, Tsarina. Influenced by the UK-native’s vast musical exposure, the mixtape garnered serious attention for its unique sound; generating 3 million streams on Spotify within the first month. Col3trane’s second project, BOOT (Breathing Out of Time), proved to be just as impactful. In 2019, he capitalized on his massive EP, Heroine, with leading track “Superpowers” featuring Goldlink. In 2020, the young Londoner maintained momentum with love ballads, “Someone To Watch Over Me” and “Good News” into collaborations with Kiana Lede on “Clutch” and best mate and fellow Londoner Mahalia on “Pretty.” In 2021, Col3trane dropped a 3 demo tape, titled 3rd Fountain Demos, and introduced us to his debut album with his first single “Californication (Feels Like I’m Falling In Love)” produced by SG Lewis. In 2022, the 22 year old gears up for the next chapter of the story with his single “Bag” featuring Lucky Daye.

Lightning in a Bottle

Do LaB, originators and creators of the boutique festival experience Lightning in a Bottle, have revealed the lineup for the event’s 2022 return to Buena Vista Lake in Southern California. For five days on Memorial Day Weekend, May 25-30, LIB will gather a unique blend of torchbearers from an array of genres and origins to its renowned creative tapestry. Each artist will play their own role in igniting the long awaited reconnection of the LIB community.

Since 2006, Do LaB has acted as a curatorial beacon for the west coast festival movement, going on to inspire a global movement within the larger festival movement. LIB remains a prized destination for artists around the world to showcase their unique crafts within creative stage environments built for immersion and wonder. The result is a deep connection between crowd and performer that paves the way for peak musical experiences and genre-defying discovery.

LIB’s Lightning Stage remains a central artery through which live and electronic icons thrive. In 2022, the stage will showcase performances from British indie-rock phenoms Glass Animals, Canadian-Haitian beatsmith Kaytranada, American bass music’s prodigal son GRiZ, plus crossover leaders SG Lewis, Purity Ring, and Chet Faker. British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz and singer-songwriter Empress Of will make their LIB debut, while Monolink makes a triumphant return to center stage with a new album and global notoriety in tow.

Thunder, known traditionally as the event’s bass music enclave, will transform into a tree-lined theater where multiple genres will be showcased in the open-air with its biggest lineup to date. It remains the perfect container for a melting pot of styles topped by electronic composer and vocalist Big Wild, the cinematic tones of CloZee, and Los Angeles bass icon Ekali. Excitement for fans of the low-end continues with the experimental soundscapes of G Jones B2B EPROM, LSDream, Mr. Carmack and OPIUO. In line with the event’s mission to inspire cross-genre pollination, American rapper and singer GoldLink will take center stage alongside Jamaican reggae singer and rapper Koffee, and New Orleans bounce legend Big Freedia.

Those in the know will tell you tales of LIB’s famed house and techno hideaway, the Woogie stage, which will expand to a full day of Thursday programming for the 2022 event. The international lineup is topped by South-African forerunner Black Coffee, the inimitable Four Tet, globe-trotter Seth Troxler, and purveyor of deeper shades of UK house Maya Jane Coles. Jon Hopkins returns to the event with a new album designed for psychedelic therapy alongside fellow electronica pioneer Max Cooper, while melodic flag bearers Hernan Cattaneo, Yotto, WhoMadeWho and Innellea bring their emotive flavors to the show. Modern shades of house will too have their place at the Woogie, with next generation stars like VNSSA, Lubelski, SOHMI, HoneyLuv, and Carlita joining storied bellwethers like Kyle Watson, Detroit’s DJ Minx and LA’s Marques Wyatt.

LIB 2022’s truly five-day experience will be kicked off by none other than the Desert Hearts Crew’s Mikey Lion, Lee Reynolds, Marbs and Porky for a picturesque return of their famed Lakeside Launch Party, this time taking over the new sandy enclave appropriately dubbed LIBeach. Adding to this, there will be a 4-hr Joe Kay Experience (Soulection) set on Thursday night at The Stacks. Do LaB is also premiering a new stage at LIB called The Junk Yard, which will be the home of the Junk In The Trunk art car. Seen at Burning Man, Junk in the Trunk will act as a stage backdrop and be mobile around the festival at times. The Junk Yard will replace Favela Bar as the event’s host for California’s favorite native house and techno artists.

Furthering this mission to reconnect the LIB community early and often, Do LaB continues its creative partnership with LIB alumni RÜFÜS DU SOL around the band’s upcoming November 12-14 triumph at downtown LA’s Banc of California stadium. Do LaB will bring an immersive sound reactive video sculpture that is 150 feet long to the grounds outside the stadium during all three days, which will provide a preview to the installation appearing at LIB. They have tapped The Glitch Mob’s Boreta to soundtrack the experience and LA media house Strangeloop Studios to create audio-reactive visuals for fans to get lost in. Come experience something that feels distinctly Do LaB in its original breeding grounds of Downtown Los Angeles. Known as an early supporter of RÜFÜS before the band went on to play some of the world’s most famed stages, Do LaB remains ingrained in their Los Angeles identity and beyond.

For those looking for the joy of a camping festival with expanded creature comforts, LIB will for the first time offer a new VIP experience only Do LaB can dream up. VIP pass holders can get off their feet in backstage lounges at Lightning, Thunder, and Woogie, grab a quick drink in these areas at full bars, and watch headlining performances at the elevated Lightning Stage viewing area. For more info on VIP tickets, click HERE.

LIB is also excited to reveal a new boutique camping experience, Atlaswyld, a festival-within-a-festival featuring glamping options and elevated content ready to be explored. Wake up each morning in a luxurious Bell Tent, Kodiak, or Airstream to be met by tailored yoga and wellness classes, culinary programming, Happy Hour mixers, and other high-end encounters aimed to dazzle alongside the festival’s immersive landscape of wonder and discovery.

These new elements will complement the event’s nearly multi-decade commitment to bringing together forward-thinking music across many distinct stages, educational and cause-driven discussions and activities at The Compass, intriguing immersive programming from favorites like The Grand Artique, Unicorn Palace, The Mixtape and so much more.

Lightning in a Bottle is ready to return home to the beautiful shores of Buena Vista Lake in Southern California and reclaim its traditional Memorial Weekend date – May 25-30, 2022. Buena Vista Lake immediately brought comfort and familiarity to the LIB community thanks to its swim-friendly waters, abundant grassy topography and thick shade trees. 2022 will see this wondrous playground come further to life, creating an idyllic container for the reconnection we all need so deeply.

Elton John – The Lockdown Sessions

Elton John has announced the forthcoming release of The Lockdown Sessions. An album of collaborations recorded remotely over the last 18 months, The Lockdown Sessions, will be released on October 22nd via Interscope Records.

Available to pre-order HERE

In March 2020 Elton was forced to pause his record breaking Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour due to the unfolding COVID pandemic. As the world began to shut down, different projects presented themselves with artists Elton had enjoyed getting to know through his Apple Music show Rocket Hour. This was the beginning of one of Elton’s boldest and most interesting records to date that he has billed ‘The Lockdown Sessions’. This album saw Elton coming full circle and returning to his roots as a session musician. While it was no easy feat recording during a pandemic, a completely new way of working for Elton, he leaned into the challenge with some magnificent results.

Kicking off with current single “Cold Heart (PNAU Remix)” with Dua Lipa, the album takes the listener on a heady journey through many different genres, all held together with expert finesse and understanding by one of the greatest champions of music of our time. Much more than a mere collaboration album, ‘The Lockdown Sessions’ is a dazzlingly diverse collection of 16 tracks with 10 brand new unreleased tracks that celebrates togetherness and sees Elton collaborating with an unparalleled range of artists only he could draw together. The enduring influence of his musical milestone with one of the most ambitious projects ever conceived. An unprecedented 20+ artists feature spanning an unbelievably vast range of genres, generations, cultures, continents and more, each contributing a unique style to the album that is sure to hold its place amongst one of pop and rock’s greatest songbooks. The Lockdown Sessions sees Elton collaborate with GRAMMY Award winning producer Andrew Watt on five of the tracks.

In Elton’s words: “The last thing I expected to do during lockdown was make an album. But, as the pandemic went on, one‐off projects kept cropping up. Some of the recording sessions had to be done remotely, via Zoom, which I’d obviously never done before. Some of the sessions were recorded under very stringent safety regulations: working with another artist, but separated by glass screens. But all the tracks I worked on were really interesting and diverse, stuff that was completely different to anything I’m known for, stuff that took me out of my comfort zone into completely new territory. And I realised there was something weirdly familiar about working like this. At the start of my career, in the late 60s, I worked as a session musician. Working with different artists during lockdown reminded me of that. I’d come full circle: I was a session musician again. And it was still a blast.”

An unparalleled career that has forever changed the cultural landscape, Elton John’s collaborations with Bernie Taupin and others continue to shape the cultural landscape, break records, top charts and win new fans across the generations. We’ve had the book, the film, the farewell tour, the fashion collections and the greatest hits. And now with The Lockdown Sessions available on digital formats, fans can enter Elton’s new world which is no doubt another fitting addition to his oeuvre.

Mabel – Let Them Know

Mabel is back today with the brand new single “Let Them Know,” which is available now on Capitol Records. Listen here and watch the video here.

It’s the first new music of 2021 from Mabel, who in the last year or so alone has won the BRIT Award for Best Female Solo Artist, surpassed 4 billion streams and 2.2 million adjusted album sales for first album “High Expectations” (the biggest-selling debut by a British woman in 2019), and added to her formidable catalogue of smash hits like “Don’t Call Me Up” with 3 more top 10s under lockdown.

Futuristic, fearless and feel-good, “Let Them Know” is the unmistakable arrival of a new era and mindset for Mabel. Written alongside friends and close collaborators Raye, SG Lewis and MNEK, it’s an anthem about dressing up (with nowhere to go), and projecting confidence (even in times of trouble). On “Let Them Know” – and much more new music to come – Mabel’s girl-next-door candor remains, but her superstar-status shines brighter than ever before.

Mere weeks after she won her first BRIT Award – and midway through touring “High Expectations” – the world stopped: and for Mabel, a rare moment to pause and process an astonishing few years in the public eye came with it. At the beginning of the pandemic Mabel moved back in with her parents, threw herself into dance classes, and channeled everything she missed (close friends, the big night out, young love, feeling unafraid) into this brand new musical chapter. Within, songs distil the sweaty, grotty and frankly unglamorous side of noughties club land – as lost to the pandemic – alongside deeper cultural influences for Mabel: “Let Them Know”, for instance, was inspired by obsessively re-watching “Paris Is Burning,” “Pose” and “Drag Race,” while reflecting on dance music’s generational ethos of expression, liberation and inclusion.

While “Let Them Know” sounds, inadvertently, like the world opening up again, its unapologetic spirit is ultimately dedicated to anyone who’s ever felt less than. For herself as much as her legion of young fans, in 2021 it is time – finally – to “Let Them Know” that you’re that bitch.

“A warrior queen” – The Guardian

“Mabel is ushering in a new age of independent women in R&B” – The FADER

“Unflinchingly honest, earnestly positive, and resolutely single-minded” – Vogue

Jessie Ware x Hot N Heavy

Continuing a non-stop year, Jessie Ware releases her latest single, “Hot N Heavy,” today. Co-produced by SG Lewis, “Hot N Heavy,” is a captivating and soulful dance track. The song comes straight from What’s Your Pleasure? The Platinum Pleasure Edition, the deluxe offering from her 2020 UK Top 3 album, out June 11via PMR Records/Friends Keep Secrets/Interscope Records.

The track brings back the electrifying dancehall energy that was so beloved on Ware’s most recent singles. Co-written by Jessie, Shungudzo Kuyimba, Model Child (Danny Parker) and SG Lewis, “Hot N Heavy” brings in familiar influences of 80’s electronica and the modern sensibilities that makes Jessie’s music so memorable. This, along with her truly outstanding vocals & tongue-in-cheek lyrics, really set this track up to be the soundtrack to summer.

“Hot N Heavy” comes along with what has been a stellar 12 months for Jessie Ware. Earlier this year, What’s Your Pleasure? re-entered the UK top 10 following a performance on Graham Norton, alongside her BRIT nominations for Female Solo artist and Mastercard Album. June 2020 saw Jessie gain not only her fourth UK Top 10 album of her career, but also her highest charting record at No.3 on the UK Official Album Charts.

As if this wasn’t amazing enough, she went on to release her first cookbook and continued her immensely popular podcast Table Manners and recently hit a massive milestone of 21 million individual listens, featuring household names such as Dua Lipa, Kylie Minogue, YUNGBLUD, Robbie Williams, Alanis Morissette, Dawn French, and Dolly Parton to name a few.

Catch Jessie live when she embarks on her UK 2021 tour that has been rescheduled for this December.

“Impact is possibly my favorite record I’ve ever been a part of” says SG Lewis: “The chemistry between Channel and Robyn is so powerful, and creates something so unique. Channel is an artist I believe will go on to create a musical legacy as important as the one Robyn has already created, and to have the two of them on this record together is insane. Working with my good friend TEED again on the production is amazing, as he is truly a production hero of mine. I hope it provides some release and euphoria in a time where it’s hard to come by.”

“Impact is about how someone can come into your life and completely change you either for better or worse.” says Channel Tres; “In this instance it was for the better and I’m going through the emotions of denying something that’s obviously good for me but the hurt I’ve been through in my past causes me to put up defense mechanisms. While I’m putting up the defenses, the person trying to love me pursues me consistently and this impacts my life in so many ways.”

Of the track, Robyn adds: “Sam made this instant thing, it´s a special skill to make a song that hits you right away the way Impact does. The track just gave me the feels and it wasn´t hard to write a chorus to it, especially with Channels vocals on there already. Channel Tres came on tour with us last year so I know how strong he is on stage and hopefully some time in the future we will get to be on stage together, with Sam, performing this song.”

‘Impact’ follows ‘Chemicals’ as the second single to be taken from SG Lewis’ yet-to-be-announced debut album, due later this year. ‘Chemicals’ saw SG taking center stage on vocals as well as production, accumulating over 12 million streams since release. The two singles follow the three-chapter concept EP Dusk, Dark, Dawn, with collaborators including Clairo, T.E.E.D., AlunaGeorge and Ruel. The project serves as a tribute to club and youth culture and chronicles the trajectory of a night out through its different moods and genres, having now broken past 200 million streams. While Dusk (early 2018) blends disco, smooth electro and funk and Dark (late 2018) explores distinctly heavier yet still diverse sounds, Dawn (2019) is a sonic embodiment of those euphoric sunrise moments and the feeling of togetherness at the end of a night well spent.

2019 also saw SG Lewis sell-out headline shows across North America, Asia, Australia, and Europe as well as playing prime slots at Coachella and Glastonbury, cementing his status as not just one of London’s hottest new talents but also a formidable artist capable of making a splash on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond.

SG has recently collaborated with Aluna, Victoria Monet, Raye, Ray BLK, The Neptunes/N.E.R.D’s Chad Hugo, Gerd Janson, Conducta and more as well as producing ‘Hallucinate’ on Dua Lipa’s record-smashing album Future Nostalgia and Dave’s ‘100M’s’, proving his worth as one of the most respected and prolific musicians from the UK. SG’s ever-growing catalog both as a collaborator and with his solo tracks showcases his abilities as a producer capable of working beyond the limits of genre and style.

‘Impact’ (Feat. Robyn and Channel Tres) is out everywhere now.

Today, British producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist SG Lewis unveils the dark and twisted official video for his latest single, “Flames” featuring 16-year old Australian pop star Ruel (RCA). Out now via Casablanca/Republic Records in North America, ‘Flames’, a sure fire song of the summer, was recently hailed by Billboard as “smooth and funky, with a slow-jam melody that wafts over a menacing, ’80s-style synth rhythm.” Surpassing 1 million streams in its first week, the song is the latest track taken from ‘Dawn,’ the third and final installment of his three-part concept albumDusk, Dark, Dawnout later this year.

The cinematic, gruesome official video was shot in LA and directed by
Jeremy Koren (Troye Sivan, Ruel), and stars SG Lewis and Ruel – watch it HERE

Speaking about the new song, SG reveals,
I was put onto Ruel’s music about 18 months ago, and watching his growth since then has been amazing. He’s got such soul to his voice for someone of his age, it’s crazy. ‘Flames’ is the final preview of ‘Dawn’ before the whole thing drops, and I can’t wait to share the whole thing.”

Tickets for
SG Lewis’ North American Headline tour are on sale now, kicking off September 3 in Toronto. The twelve date tour hits major cities, including Boston, Brooklyn, Washington DC, Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, San Francisco, Santa Fe, and Denver before concluding at The Novo in Los Angeles on October 12. In addition, you can catch SG making the festival rounds on both sides of the pond, including Glastonbury in the UK, Chicago’s North Coast Festival (TICKETS HERE) and Made In America in Philadelphia (TICKETS HERE). “Flames” follows previous ‘Dawn’ cuts, ‘Throwaway’, the second collaborative track between SG and rising viral US star Clairo (after last summer’s breakthrough track Better) and “Blue.” Clairo’s honeyed vocals on ‘Throwaway’ are perfectly framed by SG’s intimate, downtempo production; “Clairo is one of my favourite artists to work with, and a good friend of mine” says SG: “Throwaway was written in LA one evening – we were both super tired and had some shit going on in our respective personal lives. We sat and talked for ages, and after that Throwaway flowed out in no time at all. Clairo is such a special artist and an incredible songwriter, and I’m super proud of this song.”

DuskDarkDawn chronicles the trajectory of a night out through its different moods and genres and serves as a tribute to club and youth culture. While Dusk (released earlier in 2018) blended disco, smooth electro and funk and Dark explored distinctly heavier yet still diverse sounds, Dawn is a sonic embodiment of those euphoric sunrise moments and the feeling of togetherness at the end of a night well spent.

It’s been an incredible several months for SG Lewis that has seen the artist sell-out venues across the US, Asia and Europe.
Dark lead single ‘Hurting’ has continued to grow, hitting No.1 on the Billboard Dance/Mix Show Airplay Chart earlier this year, and now with two back-to-back Coachella sets in the bag, SG Lewis continues to cement his status as not just one of London’s hottest new talents but also a formidable artist capable of making a splash on both sides of the Atlantic.
