OSEANWORLD POP-UP

25-year-old digital artist Osean has announced his latest collaboration within the metaverse. Joining forces with social impact-driven metaverse gaming platform REALM, Osean has created NU RADIO, a unique and creative space encapsulating the richness of Oseanworld, the passionate inclusivity of REALM, and the interests of Ocean’s dedicated fan base and engaged community. The creative team will take to Elizabeth Street, NYC, on June 21-22 for a NU RADIO-themed pop-up which will allow attendees to go on an AR scavenger hunt around the City.

The scavenger hunt will feature a trippy neon arcade, where fans and media will gain a first look at Oseanworld’s latest adventure. Fans will be led on a scavenger hunt around Manhattan, collecting points via the Realm app at each designated stop. There will also be plenty of chances to win prizes from Ocean’s highly sought-after digital and physical clothing and accessories collections. Osean and REALM have both dedicated their platforms to bridge the gap between the digital landscape and reality, and this pop-up is the perfect opportunity to explore what that looks like. Attendees will also be able to play the Beta of NU RACE, with the official REALM beta launch taking place on July 21st in NYC

REALM presents an entirely new canvas for Osean, allowing him to take his artistic visions for the dreamy Oseanworld universe to an even higher level. REALM weaves AR, VR, and mixed reality into its platform, employing the most innovative tech and enabling artists to expand their creativity with very few limits.

Osean, who has collaborated with big-name music artists like Offest, Madeon, Lauv, and Trippie Redd, works at the intersection of anime, self-actualization, and Gen Z pop culture. Coming of age in a generation that has lived largely online, Osean seeks to represent this experience while providing a chance for real connection in an increasingly digitized and decentralized universe.

NU RADIO will allow for limitless creativity. The platform will feature a main hub with multiple minigames where players can be fully immersed in Oseanworld. Users will lose themselves in NU RADIO City: a beacon of socializing, quest discovery, and NU RADIO racing (a multiplayer racing game with prizes and custom Oseanworld avatars). Featuring candy-colored skies and Osean’s signature character, Mad Monkeii, NU RADIO will be available on iOS and android, with PC and VR versions to closely follow. The NU RADIO official game “NU RACE” is set to launch later this summer and will allow multiplayer races in true Oseanworld fashion.

This extends to every aspect of Hangout, who focus much of their attention on social and environmental responsibility along with community engagement. This includes measures related to diversity, equity & inclusion, taking steps toward environmental sustainability, and supporting local charities. Isaac Dunbar × Vevo DSCVR

Vevo announces the release of Isaac Dunbar’s DSCVR at Home performance of “boy”

Isaac Dunbar knows full well that when you sign up to be a pop artist these days, you sign up to be an influencer. At only 17, Isaac has thought a lot about what he wants to put out into that culture and the impact it can have. He has thought a lot about how he wants listeners to feel; Isaac mainly wants his fans to know they are not alone in the same way listening to artists like Lady Gaga did for him growing up as a mixed race and artistic kid.

Isaac has gravitated toward music to soothe himself ever since he was a child. Growing up in the town of Barnstable on Cape Cod, Dunbar was bullied for being different. “I never fit in,” he says. “I tried, but it didn’t work. So when other kids were hanging out with each other, I was nine years old and cocooned in my bed scouring the Internet for new music.” Always having a love of singing, he taught himself to play piano from YouTube tutorials. At 10 years old, Isaac noticed that Lady Gaga had tweeted a list of producers she worked with, one of whom was French house producer Madeon. “I saw that he had this program called FL Studio,” he recalls. “I illegally downloaded it at a Barnes & Noble in Hyannis, Massachusetts. And that’s how I taught myself to produce music.”

At 12, Dunbar began to release his self-proclaimed “self-aware alternative-pop,” and quickly began building an audience. Since then, Dunbar has signed to RCA Records and relished Zane Lowe premiering his song “Pharmacy” on his Beats 1 show. Billboard referred to him as a “newly christened pop star” and applauded his “vulnerable bravery and artistic honesty” on his label debut, Isaac’s Insects. The “verifiable wunderkind” (PAPER), has earned additional praise from the likes of The FADER and Ones to Watch, and has toured the US, Europe and the UK supporting girl in red.

Vevo DSCVR focuses on the development of emerging artists, through performance content and careful curation. Vevo has a long history of helping emerging artists break through to new and wider audiences. Past alumnae of Vevo’s DSCVR series include Billie Eilish, dodie and Kiana Ledé. Vevo is committed to working with artists at an early stage of their career to create unique content that brings their music to life visually and provides exposure to new audiences through the platform. In addition to Vevo DSCVR, “boy” is now streaming on all platforms.
