PinkPantheress – To Hell With It

PinkPantheress has released her debut mixtape To hell with it, out now via Elektra Records/Parlophone Records. To hell with it includes fan-favorites “Pain,” “Passion,” “Break It Off” and recent hit singles “Just for me” and “I must apologize.”

Spotify Announces girl in red as Its Next RADAR Artist

Today, Spotify’s global emerging artist development program, RADAR, has announced its latest artist partnership for the US: the Oslo-based pop sensation, girl in red, aka Marie Ulven.
girl in red has also just announced her debut album, if i could make it go quiet, out April 30th, and released its accompanying first single, “Serotonin.”  The result of a collaboration with FINNEAS and a huge pop anthem that speaks to Ulven’s struggles with mental health, the arena-ready tune can be heard HERE

Following her breakout single, “i wanna be your girlfriend,” which has been streamed over 150 Million times on Spotify, girl in red’s music has adorned some of Spotify’s most popular playlists including New Music Friday, LOREM, Oyster, Ultimate Indie, Out Now, and many more — 364 playlists, to be exact! Jeanette Hayes (b. 1988) is a painter/multimedia artist based in New York. Originally from Chicago, Hayes moved to NYC and received a BFA from Pratt Institute. Her work addresses the traditional preservation of non-traditional technological and pop imagery through painting, video, digital manipulation, and Internet collages. Hayes’ interests include cultural phenomena and the confrontation of conventionality and subject matter. Her fascination with the amalgamation of images we each navigate through everyday and their correlations to civilization and ownership in 2019 has propelled her practice. With international solo shows in Sweden, Italy and Belgium, Hayes has also shown in New York Hayes at Half Gallery, the Hole, Regina Rex, Castor Gallery, Romeo, Bleecker Street Arts Club, the National Arts Club and more.

Most recently, Hayes was curated by the Culture Corps to create a public art installation at Hudson Yards, which is currently on view until November, 2019. Jeanette Hayes has made animated GIFs and videos for Proenza Schouler, CHANEL, Alexander Wang, Cynthia Rowley, Vogue and Opening Ceremony. She has received artist sponsorships from BlackBerry and Blick Art and was chosen by Purple magazine to create their artist book in 2016, which she titled “five”. Hayes has been featured in the New York Times, Vogue Japan, i-D, Complex Magazine, Interview Magazine, Dazed, the Coveteur, Purple Magazine, Paper Magazine, Playboy and TimeOut New York chose Hayes as one of the “5 most important new artists in New York City.” Jeanette Hayes lives and works in New York City.

The video was directed by Sheila Johansson and NewLand and premiered on Dazed. Speaking to Dazed about the song, Seinabo explains, It’s about wanting to be remembered for all of the good things, and hoping that you can walk out of a relationship whether it be with myself in time, or with a person feeling a sense of freedom. After writing the song herself, Seinabo teamed up with friend and fellow artist Jacob Banks, who transformed the track into a love song.

Seinabo recently announced her new single, I Owe You Nothing and accompanying b-side Remember ft. Jacob Banks. Both are now available to buy and stream on all platforms via Virgin Records. This announcement marked Seinabo’s first new music in over two years since the release of her critically acclaimed debut album Pretend in 2015.

The new music sees Seinabo crafting songs revolving around the issues about which she has been vocal on social media and in her enchanting live performances: womanhood and feminism, identity, body positivity and an adherence to loving yourself.

Pushing her art to the next level, Seinabo has taken much of the creative direction for the new record into her own hands, spending the past few months in Gambia (her father’s home country) to film music videos and shoot a plethora of breathtaking new images which encompass her new direction. In the I Owe You Nothing video, Seinabo blends the rich, bright colours of local fabrics with confidence that is evident throughout, she explains I figured it’s time I stand up for myself and this is my best way of doing that.

Seinabo rose to critical acclaim in 2015 following the release of two EPs and her debut album Pretend, which TIME magazine called One of the Year’s Best Debut Albums and SPIN named one of the Best Albums of 2015. Certified Gold in Sweden, Pretend earned her a 2015 Swedish Grammy Award for Best Newcomer and Best Pop award the following year.

The boundary-blurring artist has topped the Hype Machine chart five times and racked up more than 400 million  global Spotify streams to date, including at least 250 million for the album’s lead single, Younger. Kygo’s remix of Younger climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Dance Club Play chart. Seinabo spent three years touring the globe in support of the album, stunning audiences with her expressive, soulful voice. She has played festivals such as Way Out West, Glastonbury and Roskilde.
