New iann dior Music Video

21-year-old rapper iann dior released a new music video for his song “Prospect” on Tuesday. It can be seen here!

The song features Lil Baby and was featured on Spotify playlists like Rap Caviar, Get Turnt and New Music Friday, all helping to propel it to more than 41 million streams since its May release.

The gorgeously shot video is directed by Omar Jones and inspired by Chinese landscape, architecture and colors to tribute the obvious inspiration to the beat. According to the press release, dior’s plans to tour in Asia were cancelled because of the pandemic, so the music video was his next best choice to show love to his Chinese fans.

“Prospect” is just dior’s latest in a long line of hits in a short period of time. Growing up in Corpus Christi, he quickly learned he was a talented writer and decided to turn that talent into hip-hop music. His first song earned 10,000 streams and caught the attention of Taz Taylor, the founder of Internet Money.

He released “Cutthroat” in 2019 which racked up 13 million streams on SoundCloud. He then inked a deal with 10K Projects, with whom he released his first mixtape titled “nothing’s ever good enough.”

“He showed me that I could use songs to tell my own story, just like he uses his songs to tell his story,” dior said.

“Prospect” can be found along with other hits like “Pretty Girls,” “Sick and Tired” and “Paradise” on his new album, “I’m Gone,” which was released in June.

Daam – Black Lambo

ABOUT DAAM:

DAAM is the animated supergroup comprised of Kaen (Kai-ehn) and Melo-Dee. The intergalactic journeys of DAAM will be told through their lens within an animated world.

The story begins where Kaen has reached a point of his life where he wants to explore. He gets intel that Earth was vacant more than ever as a result of self-isolation. Kaen, shoots down from outside of earth in a lightning bolt form and crashes right in the middle of a guitar center. As for Melo-Dee, he fell out of his own world by mistake and has catapulted into the galaxy crashing into earth as well. He lands right in the middle of an abandoned church where there is nothing but an old broken piano and microphone. The story unfolds of their newfound friendship and passion for music.

Their first song as DAAM is “Black Lambo”, a song where the idea of feeling like you’re literally in the 80s music vehicle and soon as that beat drops you’ve travelled through time right to the present with the RnB vocal, trap infused sonic. Anti-terrorism training evolutions test Sailors skills and knowledge on the various responses to terrorist situations and threats. Blue Ridge is the oldest operational ship in the Navy and, as 7th Fleet command ship, actively works to foster relationships with allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific region. 

The Navy Office of Community Outreach (NAVCO) connects Americans with their Navy. With most of the Navy’s personnel and equipment logically concentrated on America’s coasts, NAVCO oversees a number of community outreach programs designed to bring America’s Navy to cities throughout the country which do not enjoy a significant Navy presence. “Look at you, your parents should be disgusted by you”, voices whispered solely for my ears.

“Your black daddy and your white mommy should be ashamed, to get married, to have you…”, their unapologetic words punctured my naive heart. The seed planted.

“A half breed, black girl shouldn’t be raised by a foreign, white woman. You should be taken and given to a proper home”. Their sentiments pierced every cell of my seven year old body. The terror became real.

I Attended a private high school and college. And I was an addict. An eating disorder, compulsive exercise and alcohol consumed my life. Desperate to distract myself from painful and uncomfortable feelings, the addictions led to academic probation and ultimately, dismissal from college.

Determined to become successful, I redeemed myself as the doctor of a large successful practice. I became an internationally competing athlete, married, had a family and good friends around me. None of my achievements dissolved the terror restless below the surface. The image I portrayed eclipsed my fear. Not even I noticed the hibernating rumblings.

Skilled at detecting possible threats against me or my mom (whether real or imagined) I blotted out the physical and emotional consequences of undetected anxiety growing fierce. My duty as a protector and provider devoured my time, money, energy and resources. In attempt to thwart perceived threats, I bankrupt myself; physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. Unable to force myself out of bed, depression ensued.

The proverbial earthquake jolted my life. Demolishing the comfortable walls I erected for safety. Raw and vulnerable, I allowed myself to feel the heartbreak, the grief and the rage. Courageously, I engaged one feeling, one emotion, at a time. Finally willing to acknowledging the terror and pain, I desperately tried circumvent.

Giving my hurt permission to breathe, I began to write. And the healing balm, called Love, soothed my aching heart. Through writing, I was able to sift through four decades of actions and behaviors of my life. Eventually, the “A-Ha” moment revealed itself to me.

The insight that my choices and decisions were unconsciously driven by the need to prove to myself and others, that I was lovable. I wanted to feel accepted, at least tolerated enough, to dissuade others from harming me or my mom.

Unknowingly, my efforts could never hush the unloved parts of me I refused to accept. Other people’s beliefs- about me, my parents and my life- I accepted as true. As long as I held the misbelief that I was unlovable, nothing I could do would override my inner judgments of myself. My outward actions would follow my unconscious beliefs.

My only mistake was to believe the false words of strangers and neighbors. Accepting their judgments as true and accurate. Believing I was bad, wrong, worthless and to be ashamed of. My parents’ marriage-one year after interracial marriage was legalized- to some, was deemed a disgust and my black and white mixed skin was a disgrace.

Once I forgave myself, for choices I made from fear and misinterpretations about myself, the healing began. I could not prove I was loveable if I didn’t believe I was. Accepting I am loveable, I no longer felt the need to prove it; not to myself, to my parents, to anyone. I forgave myself for buying into the unkind words of strangers and neighbors. I Forgave myself for the actions and behaviors I engaged in as a result of the misinterpretations I believed about myself. I Forgave my parents for the mistakes I believed they made in raising me. And forgave the authority figures of my childhood whose unkind words hurt me.

Addictions thwarted my college experience.

Anxiety bankrupt me.

Depression forced me to look at every aspect of my life, lovingly guiding me through the necessary emotional process. The healing work was worth the time and effort. I am finally free.

Routine builds discipline, which is crucial for staying ahead in life. However, when it comes to relationships (friendships or more), routines are the call of death. Invite spice into your life; if you are interesting, he will be interested in you.

Burpees burns fat and tone your physique, making you look far more attractive. That said, what you eat plays just as an important role in your fitness as exercise. The girl went across the street to Subway, and 10 minutes later came out with a 12” BLT and large drink for the man. My friend saw (for himself) that her kindness made her special. He knew she was the one.

10. Your Authenticity

Weird is normal. Do you have odd quirks and eccentricities that got you teased and bullied in school? Embracing your individualism is what makes you most attractive – to anyone, regardless of gender.

Q&A With Todd Schireson, Abell Auction Co.

Vice President of Abell Auction Company, Todd Schireson, gives a one-on-one personal interview regarding his business as well as his family’s legacy.

Q: How does one become a curator for an auction?

A: Although I have a BA Degree in Business/Economics, I grew up surrounded by antiques and fine art through the family business. I started taking an interest in design, and knew that I wanted to work in the art world.

Q: When did you realize that you wanted to continue your family’s legacy?

A: I was working in high-end residential management and was fortunate enough to work closely with some of the most important interior designers of the day. I became increasingly passionate about art and design, and started taking more of an interest in the auction business. My grandfather and father were both co-owners of the family auction house and it was a natural step to take in my mid-twenties.

Q: What type of research have you conducted in order to keep your pulse on the millennial consumer?

A: My research comes from years of experience as an auctioneer watching what different age groups are buying. We have changed our business format to encompass more millennial buyers. We hold specialty auctions, especially featuring more mid-century and luxury goods to accommodate that market.

Q: Do you consider yourself a philanthropist? Does any of your proceeds at your auction go towards any humanitarian efforts?

A: All of the auctioneers at Abell including myself donate our time to doing charitable auction events. I recently served as an auctioneer for the Jane Goodall foundation charity auction, and have done cancer foundation auctions as well.

Q: Describe your most eclectic find for this youthful market segment?

A: Every so often we come across really fun estates in Southern California. One estate that a youthful market responded well to was a single-owner men’s sneaker collection. We sold more than 200 pairs of collectible, new, in-box sneakers.

Q: How do you select a location for your pop-up engagements?

A: We selected a location based off of a diverse, younger, affluent market. We typically use the Venice area for its walkable neighborhood and the educated art community present.

Q: What advice would you give to someone aspiring to be an auctioneer?

A: The main facets of being an auctioneer are obtaining merchandise and selling merchandise. For both you have to know your customer base, know what look is selling, and be educated about any piece that could come across an auction house.

Q: Is there anything you wish us to know about your next endeavors?

A: We are taking a 102-year-old business and bring it into the 21st century by becoming more accessible online, to reach an audience that can’t necessarily be here in person.

Q: Are you tackling other markets besides LA? National? International?

A: We have a solid base in Southern California, but have expanded into Palm Springs, Northern California and Las Vegas. We are an internationally and nationally recognized auction house; our expansion into the international markets has been a result of expanding online.

Horror Thriller “High Voltage”

SP Releasing will release writer/director Alex Keledjian’s horror thriller HIGH VOLTAGE, set within the gritty and competitive Los Angeles music scene, releasing in limited theaters and on-demand on Friday, October 19th through SP Releasing’s output deal with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. The film will open in at least ten cities, including New York City, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, and more, and will also be available on all major digital platforms same day. DVD and Blu-Ray release will follow November 20th.

Written, produced and directed by Alex Keledjian (Project Greenlight; FEAST), the film stars David Arquette (SCREAM 1-4; EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS), Allie Gonino (The Red Road; GEOGRAPHY CLUB), Perrey Reeves (Entourage; OLD SCHOOL), and Luke Wilson (OLD SCHOOL; Roadies).

A struggling rock band, led by washed-out rock star Jimmy Kleen (Arquette), strikes a deal with cynical record executive Rick (Wilson). Things take a sinister turn when the band’s lead singer, Rachel (Gonino), and her controlling stage mother, Barb (Reeves) both get struck by lightning and killed. Rachel is brought back to life, but she is different than before: confident, sexy, with an irresistible stage presence. Lightning courses through her veins and she uses her new supernatural electrical powers to drain the life from men and turn it into electrifying stage performances. Her bandmates, including guitarist Scott (Donowho), discover her dark secret, and have to decide just how far are they are willing to let her go to help them succeed. Jones (CABIN FEVER; KILL THE IRISHMAN), Ryan Gibson (Stan Against Evil; Fear the Walking Dead), Dwjuan Fox (XX; ARMED) and Mitch Waxman (FREAKS). The film is also making a world premiere festival debut at the first-ever Film Fest 919 (http://filmfest919.com), taking place October 3-7 in Chapel Hill, NC.

HIGH VOLTAGE is a mashup of genres combining horror, thriller, musical, and noir into a bloody and beautiful rock n’ roll fantasy. Industry vet Keledjian, creator of Project Greenlight—no stranger to behind-the-scenes drama—also wrote the rocking soundtrack: “The script and the score are based on my experiences of living and working in Hollywood, and the scope and spectacle of film is the perfect vehicle to tell this story. SP Releasing just ‘got’ that, and is releasing it in theaters, which for me is a dream come true.”

Shot in luscious anamorphic widescreen, with vivid colors and extreme angles, the film drapes a golden sheen over the seedy business of show, slowly piercing the veil of the glamour of Hollywood and revealing the broken dreams, dark secrets, and unholy pacts that power the klieg lights.

SP Releasing chairman and CEO Steven Paul, whose previous credits include Marvel’s GHOST RIDER and Paramount’s GHOST IN THE SHELL, is thrilled to partner with the filmmakers for the US release of the picture. Mike Will Made It and Eminem’s Surprise Album Drop

Eminem’s surprise album drop, Kamikaze, features two tracks produced by Grammy-winning producer Mike Will Made It.

The two Mike Will tracks, “Fall” and “Greatest” are co-produced with Eminem and Jeremy Miller, respectively. “Fall” also features Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. Released via Aftermath/Interscope Records, Kamikaze is available now via all digital retailers.

To learn just a little more about Mike Will Made it, the artist was born in 1989 in MarieVa in Atlanta, Georgia and his original name was Michael Len Williams II. His influences include Dr. Dre, Timbaland, and Pharrell. He is widely known for his production on credits on Beyoncé’s “Formation” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble.” 2006 is when he set up for Ear Drummers Entertainment and his label and production company Ear Drummer Records in 2016 where several artists have been signed to it.
