RUEL RELEASES NEW EP

BRIGHT LIGHTS, RED EYES OUT NOW VIA RCA RECORDS

WATCH: “courage

Ruel releases his new EP Bright Lights, Red Eyes via RCA Records. Written entirely in Paris, the EP includes his previously-released singles “as long as you care” and “say it over” featuring Cautious Clay, which PAPER said “delivers the soulful sound Ruel has come to be known for.” The EP also arrives alongside a 60’s mod-themed visualizer for “courage.” Watch it here.

Bright Lights, Red Eyes is the third release from Ruel following last year’s Free Time, which MTV described as “an accomplished reflection of Ruel’s stated influences, contemporary touchstones, and his own, growing voice,” and arrives after his collaboration with Omar Apollo released last week, “Want U Around,” which is featured on Apollo’s debut project Apolonio.

Speaking on the inspiration behind the EP, Ruel says: “I want to get across that this project is another step forward in maturity for me. Free Time was a step up from Ready, and this Bright Lights, Red Eyes EP is a step up again. This project was a stream of consciousness when I was writing it at the time, and I feel like that’s the way all projects and songs are for me. They are moments in time. This project isn’t who I am right now as I wrote these songs last year, but it’s the most mature you’ve ever heard me and it was me, in that moment in time. The songs I’m writing now will be more mature again, and I love that my fans can come on this journey with me as I grow.”

Ruel also shot over 70 pieces of content for his recently launched RuelVision, a 24-hour online television network featuring unique and fun programs starring himself, from music, cooking and karaoke, to news and lifestyle. The ambitious venture is the largest content-driven artist campaign of 2020, and a testament to Ruel’s continual drive to push creative boundaries and offer fun and unexpected content for his fans. The network is live now here.

Following that, Ruel has grand plans for his highly-anticipated debut album. He’s working closely with M-Phazes and THIEF (both of whom have nurtured Ruel since his debut single), ensuring that the full-length will be an organic affair. “It’s a lot more layered, I want each project to have more meaning and purpose,” Ruel says. “I want to reflect on something important in my life, and give across a message that if people are feeling the same way that I am, it’s okay.” It’s hard to believe, but Ruel’s story is just beginning – and the next chapter looks brighter than ever.

Listen to Bright Lights, Red Eyes and watch the visualizer for “courage” above, see EP details below, and stay tuned for more from Ruel coming soon.

About Ruel:

At a young age, Ruel’s resume reads like that of a seasoned global superstar, and the Sydney-bred, London-born vocalist is quickly becoming one of this generation’s most influential artists. With half a billion streams, over 1.4 million followers on Instagram, three sold-out world tours and five Platinum plaques under his belt, Ruel is a trailblazer who’s far exceeded the omnipresent hype and overwhelming fan frenzy that surrounds him globally. Ever since his rustic demos landed in the ears of M-Phazes back in 2015, Ruel’s ascension has been impossible to ignore, as he continues to push boundaries.

Ruel made his official debut in 2017 with “Golden Years” alongside M-Phazes, and just three months later, he became the youngest artist to ever appear on triple j’s Like A Version. His stunning reinterpretation of Jack Garratt’s “Weathered” went viral, an early indication of his cult-like fanbase and runaway success. His next single “Don’t Tell Me” further highlighted his rich vocals and defiant lyricism, catching the attention of Elton John who praised Ruel as “the most amazing voice that I’ve ever heard from a male singer at 14 years of age.”

“Don’t Tell Me” was later certified Gold, and featured on Ruel’s debut EP Ready in 2018. The project earned widespread praise from tastemaker publications including Vogue and NYLON, also producing Platinum singles “Younger” and “Dazed & Confused.” Reflecting on romance, friendship and homesickness, Ready was a display of Ruel’s instantly accessible penmanship, and a formative step in his tight-knit relationship with listeners. Ruel describes it as “a very conceptual, youthful EP. When I wrote it, I was going through the same things as my fans and I think that made it super relatable.”

Ruel was invited to perform alongside world-class talents like Khalid, also becoming the second ever Australian billed performer on Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival. Proving his ability to wow audiences in an eclectic range of environments, Ruel also performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games, streaming to 1.4 billion viewers worldwide. Singing on these grandiose stages primed Ruel for his own headline tours: He’s sold out 3 world tours across America, Europe and Australia in a matter of minutes; further evidence of the profound bond he’s established with millions through music.

At the tail end of 2018, Ruel also won the Breakout Artist award at the ARIAs, becoming the youngest artist to do so. He quickly re-emerged in 2019 with single “Painkiller,” which went 2x Platinum before recruiting Denzel Curry on the remix. It served as the first taste of his sophomore EP Free Time, which showed Ruel’s progression as a sophisticated and intricate songwriter. Subsequent singles “Real Thing” and “Face To Face” also went Platinum, while Ruel spent 2019 further solidifying his live portfolio. In his hometown, he became the youngest artist to sell out the Sydney Opera House, twice.

Alec King – Everything’s Backwards

ALEC KING RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM EVERYTHING’S BACKWARDS TODAY
FEATURING GUESTS GNASH, SKIZZY MARS & MORE

After a year of wild bangers and insane videos filled with cameos by cartoons, puppies and adult film starlets, Los Angeles-based artist Alec King releases his anxiously awaited full-length debut album EVERYTHING’S BACKWARDS via The Heavy Group/Republic Records.

Listen to EVERYTHING’S BACKWARDS: HERE

He initially teased the record with “Fuck Wow Holy Shit” and its unbelievable accompanying music video. However, the 15-track opus proves why he’s the most interesting man in rap. He oozes Denver pride and locks bars with Skizzy Mars on 303-905-5535,” and he also knows how to lull you into a singalong with his new single “Numb & Nervous” feat. gnash.

Between the confessions of “Innocent In A Sense” and plea to “Plz Stop Stalkin Me,” he even gets way more intimate than expected during the ironically titled finale “The Intro.”

The album follows the releases of “Weekends,” “Way Up” and “Dangerous,” which received heavy radio support in his hometown of Denver and over 2 million streams in a few months. At the end of last year, Alec King went on his debut US tour with diva on the rise, KianaLedé. He performed to sold out venues, including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Washington DC and more, winning the crowd over with his infectious charm, incredible stage presence and catchy songs.

Is there any line this guy won’t cross? Alec King is the kind of dude who rips bars about Wisconsin and god-awful ex-girlfriends with the same passion. He considers Curb Your Enthusiasm his “Torah.” He jumps into bathtubs with Porn Stars in music videos that he directs himself. He even went so far as to name his official debut EP, Greatest Hits, Vol. 1, and its successor, Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 (he backed up the latter with some heat). On the ‘gram, you’re just as likely to catch him in the shower as you are to catch him coloring with sidewalk chalk. This sort of personality endeared him to both fans and peers alike. Posting up 10 million-plus streams under-the-radar and attracting acclaim from Dancing Astronaut, he has collaborated with legends such as Biz Markie and modern stars a la Rich The Kid and Kiana Ledé. Not to mention, he did all of this D.I.Y. primarily relying on an in-house team. In 2020, he floods the game with a series of singles and more surprises.

The Offspring Releases Limited Edition Deluxe Vinyl

THE OFFSPRING REISSUES ‘CONSPIRACY OF ONE’ AS LIMITED-EDITION DELUXE COLOR VINYL TO COMMEMORATE THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF ITS RELEASE

To commemorate it’s 20th anniversary, Conspiracy of One, the sixth album by punk rock trailblazers the Offspring, will once again be available on vinyl — the first time since its release in 2000. On December 11, Round Hill Records/UMe will release a deluxe version of Conspiracy of One pressed to yellow and red splatter vinyl, which includes spot gloss on the cover and a custom turntable slipmat featuring the Offspring’s flaming skull silhouette logo. A non-deluxe, limited-edition canary yellow vinyl variant will be available on uDiscover & The Sound of Vinyl. A standard black vinyl version will be released in early 2021. Listen or pre-order Conspiracy of One HERE.

All editions will feature the bonus track “Huck It.” The anthemic, sub-three-minute blast was featured on their 2000 VHS/DVD Huck It and used to soundtrack various skateboard stunts, including longtime Offspring drummer Ron Welty doing a successful board-to-board leap over two of his bandmates. “Huck It” will be released as a stand-alone digital single on November 13. In addition, the official videos for Conspiracy‘s first two singles – “Original Prankster” and “Want You Bad” – will be available on the Offspring’s Official YouTube channel in newly remastered HD.

Conspiracy of One, the first Offspring album of the 21st Century, was the fourth album from the game-changing punk group to be certified Platinum, a feat completed only a month after its release on November 14, 2000. The album is best known for its lead single, “Original Prankster,” a song that broke the Billboard Top 100 and hit Number 2 on the U.S. Alternative Airplay charts. The song and its mischievous video by director Dave Meyers included a funky sample from War’s “Low Rider” and a cameo from hip-hop legend Redman. The album’s follow-up single, “Want You Bad,” could be heard in the film American Pie 2 and the video game Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller.

About the release, Dexter Holland said, “When we put Conspiracy of One out in 2000, Bill Clinton was still President, and September 11 hadn’t happened yet. However, it was obvious that tensions were rising in the Middle East, and we could all sense that acts of terrorism were on the rise, both domestically and internationally.  In the U.S., we had all experienced the tragedy of the Oklahoma City bombing and had only recently apprehended the Unabomber, while internationally, there were instances of terrorism such as the sarin nerve gas attack in Japan, suicide bombing attacks in Chechnya, and the bombing of the USS Cole. It occurred to us that this was going to be a new way of waging war going forward.  While in the past, nations were generally attacked by other nations – army vs. army – we realized that the world was changing and that future attacks against our country were just as likely to occur by an individual or a small group…a “Conspiracy of One.” Of course, we had no idea what was in store for us on September 11, 2001, or how our title portended things to come.”

“Conspiracy of One seemed to come together pretty quickly, compared to some of other records,” said Noodles.  “It was our first time recording with Brendan O’Brien, and we learned a lot from him about how to get the sounds we were looking for. We still play ‘Prankster’ & ‘Want You Bad’ from this record, almost every show, and we’d like to add more to the set. ‘Come Out Swinging’ & ‘Million Miles Away’ always stoke the fans, and ‘Special Delivery’ was such a dynamic & fun part of our set when we played it back then. I still love all these songs.”

For Conspiracy of One, the Offspring used their flaming skull logo on an album cover for the first time — the now-iconic Alan Forbes illustration has since appeared on no small number of T-shirts, stickers, tattoos, and, recently, a custom tank in the multiplayer online game World of Tanks. The Offspring’s first collaboration with producer Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against the Machine), Conspiracy of One captures both the Offspring’s trademark locomotive pop-punk (“Come Out Swinging”, the 99-second “All Along”) and their genre-crossing experiments (the bridge of mid-tempo “Special Delivery” borrows the ooga-chaka from Blue Swede’s 1974 version of “Hooked on a Feeling”).

“Alan Forbes is a fantastic graphic artist who did the artwork on Conspiracy of One and “Huck It,” Dexter shared.  “We had been fans of his work for years and were thrilled to have him help us with our album package.  Part of our conversations with Alan were about how it would be cool to have an official Offspring band logo.  We worked together and came up with the ‘flaming skull.’   It’s been our logo ever since!”

With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide, The Offspring are one of punk rock’s most significant ambassadors. Since 1985, their lineup has featured vocalist Dexter Holland and guitarist Noodles, with the entirety of the 1990s, spent with the Conspiracy of One rhythm section of bassist Greg K and drummer Ron Welty. Featuring “Come Out And Play (Keep ‘Em Separated)” and “Self Esteem,” their 1994 breakthrough Smash remains the largest selling album ever released on an independent label, certified six times Platinum. The group currently has festival dates scheduled across Europe for the summer of 2021.

ABOUT SHENANDOAH:
GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM-winning hitmakers Shenandoah, fueled by Marty Raybon’s distinctive vocals and the band’s skilled musicianship, are celebrated for delivering such hits as “Two Dozen Roses”, “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You, Next to Me” as well as such achingly beautiful classics as “I Want to be Loved Like That” and the GRAMMY® winning “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart” duet with Alison Krauss. Today that legacy continues as original members Marty Raybon and Mike McGuire launch a new chapter in Shenandoah’s storied career with Every Road, available everywhere Nov. 13, 2020. Raybon and McGuire formed Shenandoah in 1984 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with bassist Ralph Ezell, keyboardist Stan Thorn and guitarist Jim Seales. Shenandoah inked a deal with Columbia Records and began establishing a national fan base with their self-titled debut in 1987. However, it was the band’s sophomore effort, The Road Not Taken, that spawned their first top ten hits—“She Doesn’t Cry Anymore” and “Mama Knows.” Shenandoah followed with three consecutive No. 1 hits—“Church on Cumberland Road,” “Sunday in the South” and “Two Dozen Roses.” “The Church on Cumberland Road” spent two weeks at the top of the chart and made country music history as it marked the first time that a country band’s first No. 1 single spent more than one week at the summit. It also helped propel sales of the album to more than half a million units thus giving Shenandoah their first gold album. Shenandoah became known for delivering songs that celebrated the importance of faith and family while reveling in the joys of small town life. “Next to You, Next to Me” topped the charts for three weeks and “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart,” a beautiful duet with Alison Krauss, won a Country Music Association Award for Vocal Event of the year and a GRAMMY® for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Shenandoah also won the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Group of the Year in 1991.

Young Bombs & Darius Rucker – Wrong Side of Love

YOUNG BOMBS TEAM WITH SUPERSTAR DARIUS RUCKER ON COUNTRY-TINGED NEW SINGLE WRONG SIDE OF LOVE FROM DEBUT EP

The Young Bombs Show EP collects five recent heaters and the new Rucker-blessed single, listen HERE

Today, Young Bombs return with a wistful, country-tinged single featuring three-time GRAMMY Award winner Darius Rucker called Wrong Side of Love. Built around Rucker’s honeyed croon, the story of lost love is the final single from the duo’s debut EP, The Young Bombs Show, also out now on Astralwerks. Listen to the song HEREand the EP HERE. The set gathers a string of singles that have established the duo as among the dance-pop world’s most vibrant and versatile producers, including the openhearted Better Day with Aloe Blacc and the swooning, optimistic Starry Eyes.

Wrong Side of Love shows off Young Bombs at their most emotional, lending a textured arrangement to Rucker’s poignant pining for a lover who’s fallen right back in somebody else’s arms. The song starts with roiling pianos and other homey instrumentation that might feel familiar to fans of Rucker’s country singles, but from there the song soars. Rucker moves beyond his pain into anthemic whoa-ohs as the track ascends into a synthy daydream.

It’s a different look for the duo, but Wrong Side of Love is a brilliant capstone to the run of singles that make up The Young Bombs Show. Young Bombs first came to widespread acclaim as esteemed remixers, sharing upwards of 50 beloved reworks of tracks for artists like Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga, and Billie Eilish, among others. Since 2019, they’ve applied the same lively production to their own original tracks, which has resulted in the colorful singles on their new EP, spanning from heavenly bangers like Starry Eyes to more sensitive, stirring tracks like the Robinson-featuring High Road.

So far, the tracks on The Young Bombs Show have amassed over 65 million streams. As these songs have traveled, so has the duo. In recent years, they’ve played Lollapalooza, Ultra, Firefly Music Festival, and the Billboard Hot 100 Festival. They’ve also shared the stage with dance music luminaries like the Chainsmokers, Alesso, Galantis, and Diplo.

In just a couple of weeks, Young Bombswill be back with a video for Wrong Side of Love, a sign that even though The Young Bombs Show is a culmination of years of hard work, they won’t be stopping anytime soon.

About Young Bombs:

In 2019, Young Bombs make the bold leap from sought-after remixers to artists. That leap remains driven by a personal and creative chemistry forged way back in the Vancouver high school where they became best friends. With nearly 100 million streams in four years, the duo of Martin and Tristan cooked up 53 remixes by 2018. Along the way, they lent their talents to everyone from Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga to Billie Eilish, Alessia Cara, Post Malone, Khalid, and Bazzi. In addition, they attracted the support of Kygo and Don Diablo. Simultaneously, they graced the stages of blockbuster festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra, Firefly Music Festival, and the Billboard Hot 100 Festival. Not to mention, Young Bombs supported The Chainsmokers, Galantis, Diplo, and Alesso on tour around the globe and launched a coveted residency at Drai’s Beachclub in Vancouver. The upbeat and undeniable anthem Starry Eyes, their debut Astralwerks single, introduced a musicianship-centric style reliant on real instrumentation and genre-less creativity, shining a bright light on the future.

About Darius Rucker:

Rucker first achieved multi-Platinum status in the music industry as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of the GRAMMY Award-winning band Hootie & the Blowfish. Since releasing his first Country album in 2008, he’s earned a whole new legion of fans with four No. 1 albums on the Billboard Country chart, including RIAA Platinum-certified Learn to Live and True Believers, plus nine No. 1 singles at Country radio. In 2014, Rucker won his third career GRAMMY Award for Best Solo Country Performance with his 8x Platinum version of Old Crow Medicine Show’s Wagon Wheel. His latest single, “Beers And Sunshine,” was written via a Zoom session earlier this year and calls for slowing down to enjoy the simple things in life when the world feels out of control. As a lifelong philanthropist, Rucker is a constant supporter of the MUSC Children’s Hospital in his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina. He has also raised millions of dollars for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through his annual Darius & Friends benefit concert and golf tournament, as well as for more than 200 charitable causes supporting public education and junior golf programs in South Carolina through the Hootie & the Blowfish Foundation. Rucker spent 2019 on the road with his Hootie & the Blowfish bandmates for the Group Therapy Tour as they celebrated the 25th anniversary of generation-defining smash Cracked Rear View in addition to the November 1 release of Imperfect Circle, their first album in nearly 15 years.

In its premiere of the YehMe2 remix of Eyes Closed, Dancing Astronaut said, YehMe2 has laid down a full-bodied and expansive remix of Ted When’s sultry track Eyes Closed Beginning the track with distorted guitar chords that lead straight into When’s smooth vocals, YehMe2 then transitions into a harmonic and groovy jazz aesthetic.

Collaboration is in Fool’s Gold’s DNA, note Fools Gold founders A-Trak and Nick Catchdubs. The remix EP puts a FG spin on Ted’s unique voice and original songwriting, showcasing a wide range of sounds from the label’s friends and family with the anything-goes spirit of a handmade mixtape.

Born in Cedar Rapids, Ted formerly fronted the acclaimed indie band Mansions on the Moon. The singer/songwriter/producer has toured with Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller and worked in the studio with The Neptunes. All of these elements and experiences inform his new, genre-defying sound. Ted built his own home studio in Nashville and built this new phase of his creative life completely from scratch, no previous solo releases, no social media profile, just leading with the music. His history, though, comes out not only in the remarkable range of his sonics, but also in the heart of his writing. Wonderland hailed the genre-defying singer as a superstar in the making.

When sitting down to learn What’s Going On on my way to a protest, I broke down crying, recalls Devon Gilfillian. The words written 50 years ago rang so true and clear in that moment. I decided then and there I wanted to rerecord the entire album, learn it closely, feel every word, every melody, every instrument.

Ethiopia Habtemariam, President of Motown Records and Executive Vice President of Capitol Music Group, says, The release of Marvin Gaye’s What’s Going On marked not only a pivotal moment in Motown history but in our nation’s history. Devon’s recording is deeply moving and demonstrates how these iconic songs are providing hope and inspiration to a new generation that is similarly committed to change and unity.

Rolling Stone recently named Gaye’s What’s Going On as the greatest album of all time. Gilfillian’s project was born from his mission to bring people together, further the conversation on racial injustice and raise voter awareness. It’s a natural follow-up to the message established in his top five AAA radio hit The Good Life and his recently launched The Good Life Fund, which supports organizations that are doing good in the world.
Gilfillian’s version of Mercy Mercy Me (The Ecology) was Music Choice’s Most Added Adult Alternative Song of the Week. View the official video HERE. Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler) was featured on KCRW’s Morning Becomes Eclectic playlist.

Earlier this month, Gilfillian and his band played What’s Going On in its entirety during a livestream concert that benefited The Equity Alliance. Nashville Scene noted, Gilfillian & Co.’s 90-minute set served as a reminder of how great art can simultaneously address the moment in which it was created and have an impact that lasts long after that time passes.

Gilfillian’s debut album, Black Hole Rainbow, was released by Capitol Records earlier this year. The New York Times praised it as a formidable debut album and The Tennessean declared it one of the best albums released this year, period. Black Hole Rainbow also won a spot on Iowa Public Radio’s list of The Best New Albums (So Far) Of 2020.

He performed the national anthem at NASCAR 2020 on the day they banned the Confederate flag. Gilfillian has played numerous festivals, including Newport Folk and Montreal Jazz. The Fratellis Announce Global Music Competition

MULTI-PLATINUM AWARD-WINNING SCOTTISH ROCK BAND THE FRATELLIS ANNOUNCE GLOBAL MUSIC COMPETITION TO GIVE AN UP-AND-COMING ARTIST OR BAND THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME

WITH COVID-19 HAVING SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON THE ARTS; THE FRATELLIS PROVIDE SUPPORT TO THE MUSIC COMMUNITY AT A TIME WHEN IT NEEDS IT THE MOST

Multi-platinum, award-winning Scottish rock band, The Fratellis, announced their global music competition on October 19, to give one unknown music artist or band a platform to accelerate their path to stardom. This once-in-a-lifetime prize features a studio session to record the artist or band’s winning single, which will be mixed by The Fratellis’ producer/mixer, Tony Hoffer (Angels & Airwaves, Fitz and the Tantrums, Elle King); and a chance to win a worldwide deal to release a single with Cooking Vinyl records. The winner will also get the opportunity to work with The Fratellis themselves, including one-on-one time with the band through an online masterclass, and a money-can’t-buy slot on a virtual upcoming Fratellis gig (date TBA).

To get involved, upcoming talent are invited to submit their tracks via @Vype_worldwide Instagram page, with both the shortlist and the final selection being chosen by The Fratellis themselves. The entire experience will be professionally marketed, including the creation of a music video of the unknown talent’s record. A behind-the-scenes style video with The Fratellis will also be shared across The Fratellis’ and Vype’s social channels for the world to see.  The competition is live from October 19-28, and applicants must read the T&Cs (+ Privacy Notice) before getting started. The winner will be chosen on November 2.  Watch the full commercial HERE.

“We’re proud to be working with Vype to give a new artist the chance to work with some of the most talented professionals in the music industry…and The Fratellis! Getting our first proper single released through a big label was a huge deal for us so it will be exciting to help a new artist achieve this milestone and hopefully see them go on to have a long career in music,” says The Fratellis.

The Fratellis are a multi-platinum Scottish rock band from Glasgow, formed in 2005, consisting of lead vocalist and guitarist Jon Fratelli, bassist and backing vocalist Barry Fratelli, and drummer and backing vocalist Mince Fratelli. The Fratellis recently announced their sixth studio album titled Half Drunk Under a Full Moon, to be released on April 9, 2021, alongside the launch of a UK and European tour. The album features the single, “Six Days In June,” which released earlier this year. A theatrical blast of pop joy, “Six Days In June” swings on brass, kick-drum and features Jon Fratelli’s trademark falsetto vocals. Listen to “Six Days In June” HERE.

Success came quickly to The Fratellis, who formed in Glasgow in 2005.  Arriving a year later, their debut album, Costello Music, which contained the globe-conquering hit “Chelsea Dagger,” quickly went double-platinum and led to The Fratellis winning the Brit Award for British Breakthrough Act in 2007. A successful second album, Here We Stand, followed in 2008, but this whirlwind of success came at a cost, and by the end of the decade the trio were forced into indefinite hiatus, burned out from their relentless life on the road.

Since reforming in 2012, The Fratellis have been on a continuous upward trajectory, finding themselves enjoying a more sustainable type of success. They have steadily regained their live following thanks to a new generation of Fratellis fans all over the world. Half Drunk Under A Full Moon finds the trio entering their third decade at ease with who they are and where they are: a band who have not only survived but thrived, and are currently making the best, most confident, most ambitious music of their career.

With critical acclaim from Complex, Vice, and High Snobiety who christened him, “the latest and greatest rising rap name coming from Atlanta,” rapper Lil Gnar is one of today’s most ambitious new artists.

“I’m really just trying to build my own world,” he exclaims. “There’s a whole wave. It’s everything from fashion to music. I was in the street, but I was also in the skatepark, so everything I do speaks to both sides of who I am.”

Raised by his mom and grandma in East Atlanta, Lil Gnar developed an intense work ethic that came from seeing everyone around [him] stress about money.” He took his profits “from hustling” and put it into the launch of his very own fashion label, GNARCOTIC, which dropped in 2014 and sold out almost instantly.

Inspired by Lil Wayne, Future, Travis Scott, Tyler, The Creator, and Pharrell, Lil Gnar began songwriting in 2015 and dropped his first track “Rihanna Thick” two years later. Originally debuted on WorldStarHipHop in November 2017, Lil Gnar’s single “Ride Wit Da Fye” ft. Germ became his breakthrough song, hitting 1.3 million views. As labels began to take interest, he inked a deal with 10K Projects in 2018.

His 2018 mixtape GNAR Lif3 fueled his rise, featuring a collaboration with Blink 182’s Travis Barker and the single “Drop Top Benz” with Lil Skies, which has gained over 23 million streams on Spotify. He followed the mixtape a year later with the heavy metal inspired, Fire Hazard, in 2019. The project earned praise from XXL and Hot New Hip Hop and features his biggest single to date “Death Note,” which has accumulated over 37 million streams on Spotify.

“When you listen to me, I want you to feel like you can do whatever you want and be yourself,” he leaves off. “I’ve always done my own thing. I think that fact can be an inspiration.”
