Rising Latin pop sensation Carmen DeLeon teams up with Colombian pop-urban brother duo Cali y El Dandee on her new single, Pasado, released today by Capitol Music Group and Universal Music Latin Entertainment, Pasado (which means past) sets DeLeon’s gorgeously raw vocals to a powerfully swinging beat. Cali y El Dandee add a poignant, soulful verse. To date, Cali y El Dandee, Alejandro Rengifo and Mauricio Rengifo, have amassed more than five billion combined streams and exceeded 10.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Their YouTube channel has generated more than 2.4 billion views.

Carmen DeLeon recalls, “Pasado was written with my friends Mauricio, Alejandro, and Andres and was inspired by a breakup with my boyfriend. I was no longer in a relationship with him but was reliving the times I had with him in the past and wondered what it would be like to be with him again. The song tells the story of being okay with missing that person, while reassuring the listener to be with a person that will really love and respect you.”.

Pasado follows DeLeon’s early 2021 single, Cafecito, a bittersweet track that she wrote in memory of her grandfathers, and Juegas, her collaboration with acclaimed Colombian artist FEID. Upon its release, Juegas was featured on numerous NMFs across Spotify and has now amassed more than two million combined global streams. Billboard, which named DeLeon as one of 20 Latina Artists to Discover Before 2020 Ends, noted, “Juegas is a medium-tempo reggae/pop charmer; If this is going to be DeLeon’s brand of pop, we’ll happily take it.”.

Dylan Fuentes x Record Deal

BREAKOUT COLOMBIAN ARTIST DYLAN FUENTES SIGNS TO THE NEON16 INCUBATOR BACKED BY TAINY AND LEX BORRERO

Colombian artist, singer and songwriter Dylan Fuentes is signed onto the NEON16/INTERSCOPE RECORDS talent incubator backed by award-winning producer and artist, Tainy, and President and CEO of NEON16, Lex Borrero.

With help from the innovative minds at NEON16, Dylan will continue to evolve as an artist and usher in a new sound for the Latin music genre with his natural charisma and unique skills as an actor, artist, songwriter and performer.

“The world has a lot of talent, but very few artists. Even less artists that can be creative in both music and film. Dylan is one of those few, I’m a fan and knew we had to sign him from the moment I met him.” comments Borrero on signing Fuentes.

Dylan has already showcased that he can hang with top Urban music talent when he joined Puerto Rican producer and hitmaker Tainy on his upcoming EP “The Kids That Grew Up On Reggaeton: Neon Tapes.” Dylan lent his vocals on EP focus track “Tu Amiga” alongside American reggaeton singer Justin Quiles, Puerto Rican reggaetonero Lennox, and fellow Colombian singer Llane.

In 2019, Dylan released the viral hit “Ajena” featuring Myke Towers, which counts with over 24 million views on Youtube and has accrued over 13,000,000 streams on Spotify.

His hit with Myke Towers, along with his role on the Netflix series “Siempre Bruja,” allowed Dylan to build and establish a strong and loyal fan base. Apart from playing a lead character, Dylan sang on the official show soundtrack. Through his work, he has been able to reach an audience of over 1.1 million Instagram followers, 1.03 million YouTube subscribers and 400,000 Spotify listeners.

As one of the first artists signed under the NEON16 banner, Dylan will be releasing his debut single “Bipolar,” which will be his first song off of his upcoming album. The 23-year-old will be working closely with NEON16 in 2020 to create music that will resonate with audiences globally.

Latin urban-pop’s young rising star Leo Bash premieres new single “Ayer” (Yesterday), available now on all digital music platforms. Known for his charisma and his playfully mischievous lyrics, the Colombia-born, NYC-raised Leo Bash is setting out to redefine the genre after signing with Interscope Records and Young Boss Entertainment Produced by Nekxum and Ángel Barbosa, “Ayer” is Leo Bash’s first solo single, giving him a chance to shine as a well-rounded performer. Directed by Facu Ballve and produced by Anestesia Audiovisual, the music video of “Ayer” highlights Leo Bash’s talent, as well as the picturesque elegance of Argentina, where it was filmed. As the Super Bowl rolls on, here is a look at the first half (and halftime) updated social media results from international Social Media Analytics Firm Talkwalker. These numbers were updated at 8:45 p.m. Sunday.

Shakira has 1.17 million mentions so far!

J-Lo has around 250,000. 

If mentions alone tell the story, Shakira stole the show, but Shakira does have a much more active fanbase on social media – more so than Lopez.

Others with big numbers, include:

Latin artist J-Balvin, who was also part of the halftime show, has 74,000 mentions

Bad Bunny with 145k mentions.

The first big joke of the halftime show on social was people comparing Bad Bunny’s outfit to Ali G’s. 

Pepsi Halftime Show had 186,000 mentions

Sentiment surrounding the halftime show was 44% positive, 6% negative (remaining 50% neutral), according to Talkwalker

Below is a heatmap around the halftime show conversation, with several important trends to note. OIf course it’s a huge topic of conversation across the country, like every year, but the conversation is just as heavy in Colombia, in Mexico City, Rio & Sao Paolo, and in Puerto Rico, due largely to the performers. Conversation is also popular in Britain – where the NFL is trying to grow the game.

For as long as she can remember, Sarah has been surrounded by music; singing and dancing around her parent’s Riverside home with friends and family. Singing along to hits from Cyndi Lauper and Adele, it was clear that Sarah had a gift and a future as a musician. 

Sarah’s journey truly began after taking 2nd place in the Mexican version of America Idol, La Academia Kids, at only 11 years old. The experience immersed her in six months of extensive training in singing, dancing and acting with some of the best teachers in the industry. After her participation in La Academia Kids she was casted as the namesake character in the theater play Miranda y Sus Dos Papas, where she was critically recognized for her enormous talent as a musical theater actress.

She then joined social media incubator, Dosogas Team, which has allowed her to tour internationally, performing at top venues in Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico, and Chile, to name a few. 

The now 16-year-old is writing her own songs and playing ukulele, in addition to learning how to produce her own music and play piano. She finds lyrical inspiration in her own experiences, in addition to deep observations of the world around her. Sarah hopes that her songs resonate with her listeners.
