Q – Alone

Q IS A ONE-MAN BAND IN THE NEW “ALONE” VISUAL, FROM HIS FORTHCOMING EP THE SHAVE EXPERIMENT

WATCH HERE. LISTEN TO “ALONE” HERE.

After debuting “Take Me Where Your Heart Is,” his first single from his upcoming EP set to release 12/11 with Columbia Records, Q is returning on a slightly darker and sophisticated note in the new “Alone” visual. Watch HERE. Showing his self-taught knack for musicianship, Q glides through various performance setups playing all the instruments present, simultaneously displaying his emotional state in the Loris Ruisser directed visual. Says Q of the song “it was something I wrote at a time where I actually felt alone. I remember later feeling really bad about that, because I wasn’t really, and I think I’d want people to listen to it and get that same feeling from it. That they aren’t really alone.” With “Alone,” Q is finding the peace in solitude.

SFERA EBBASTA × J BALVIN - “BABY”

SFERA EBBASTA ×  J BALVIN – “BABY”

After the release of his album FAMOSO, today international superstar Sfera Ebbasta unloads the video for the standout single, “Baby” with J Balvin.

WATCH OFFICIAL VIDEO HERE

The new album, FAMOSO, released on November 20th, has been welcomed internationally with a standing ovation. All 13 tracks debuted at the top 200 Global Spotify chart while disintegrating all past records and achieving new heights for Italian albums. It received 16M streams in 24 hours while climbing the first 13 positions in the Italian top 50 chart on Spotify. FAMOSO is the most-streamed album ever on release date on Spotify and the 2nd most-streamed album Globally.

Today, Sfera Ebbasta flexes as a major player in the game with the release of the video for the international focus track, “Baby” with J Balvin.

J Balvin expressed the wish to see the birth of a truly international Latin gang, an artistic partnership between Italy, Colombia and the whole Latin world. “Baby” marks the beginning of a journey destined to bring Italian music where it has rarely landed. Sfera and J Balvin met when the king of the trap made a remix of the track “Machika”. In the film Famoso, directed by Pepsy Romanoff and distributed worldwide by Amazon Prime video, the Colombian artist talks about his relationship with Sfera:

“At the time of the “Machika” remix I didn’t know him personally, but now we’re friends. There is nothing planned, no strategy, just a true friendship. One day I went to Italy, I looked at what was happening in the music world and there were 5 Sfera tracks at the top of the chart. I said to myself: and where is my music? (Editor’s note laughs) – and then adds – It’s a real movement! And for this, I respect my little brother because yes … he is like a brother to me! He is a big star in Italy and I think he will soon be one everywhere. He has all my support and my respect. I really think we are at the beginning of a real worldwide Latin gang and I want to see my people win! ” – J BALVIN

In the video directed by Mattia Benetti and produced by Ocean Code Studio, we see Sfera and J Balvin together for the first time, immersed in a parallel universe, in those fantasy worlds where everything seems possible; golden statues emerging from the sea, sharks swimming over the city skyline and purple skies where gigantic planets stand out in a magnetic, almost hypnotic way. Between mermaids swimming above Sferas car and landscapes like el dorado, the song, produced by Sky Rompiendo, with its up tempo makes us understand why it has been chosen as the first international focus single and how it is possible that in only four days after its release, “Baby” is already a hit. The track is already at #1 on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Youtube Italy.

Under the artistic direction of Charlie Charles, FAMOSO is the most important album in Sferas career, a boy who comes from nowhere and has never had help of any kind and who together with extraordinary teamwork, managed to become the most important Italian recording phenomenon in recent history. Results such as the one achieved by “Baby,” certify his entry into the very small circle of European artists who are truly recognized, respected, and above all listened to in the world. However, knowing the hunger of Sfera Ebbasta, his desire to continually improve himself, we are only at the beginning.

CartiHeal

Seth L. Sherman, MD, a sports medicine orthopaedic surgeon at University of Missouri Health Care’s Missouri Orthopaedic Institute, recently became one of the first American surgeons to enroll patients in a clinical research study aimed at earning FDA approval for a new knee-cartilage implant.

Agili-C™ (CartiHeal, Israel) is a new implant designed to help patients with knee-cartilage defects regenerate their own healthy cartilage. The implant has been shown to be safe and effective in a series of clinical trials previously conducted in Europe and Israel. Sherman is one of 15 primary investigators in the United States conducting the FDA-approved study, which is the final step before earning FDA approval for the implant.

“We are thrilled to be on the leading edge of orthopaedic sports medicine and joint preservation,” Sherman said. “In the U.S., there are limited options for off-the-shelf cartilage repair that can be performed during a single surgical procedure. Benefits of this technology include its relative low cost, ease of use, and strong basic science and clinical track record.”

Cartilage damage is a common knee problem that occurs in patients of all ages. It can happen as a result of an injury, like a blow to the knee, or due to wear and tear over time. In any case, it causes knee swelling, stiffness and pain that can reduce function and decrease quality of life.

The Agili-C™ implant is a cell-free implant made of the inorganic exoskeleton of sea coral. The implant can be used in this study to treat a variety of cartilage defects and patient types, which is another reason it is attractive to orthopaedic surgeons.

“Often in studies like this one, we can enroll only a very strict subset of young, active patients with a single, isolated cartilage defect,” said Sherman. “In reality, that’s not the type of patient we see every day. This implant is different because it’s medically indicated for a wide range of situations, including patients with multiple cartilage defects and even those with mild to moderate osteoarthritis. We can use it in patients who are in their 20s or in those who are in their 60s. This versatility allows us to find more patients who may benefit from this procedure.”

Those who qualify for the study are randomly assigned either one of the traditional surgical options or the new implant. So far, Sherman has enrolled four patients in the study. He plans to enroll at least 25 before submitting his research to the FDA.

The implant is manufactured by CartiHeal, a medical device company headquartered in Kfar Saba, Isreal and Closter, New Jersey. To date, more than 400 patients in Europe and Israel — where the device has already been approved — have received the new implant. The Agili-CTM implant is not available for sale in the United States. It is an investigational device limited for use in the device study.

To find out if you qualify for this study, visit this link on the CartiHeal website.

How to pack the essentials and travel in style

We all want to travel in style so packing the fashion essentials is vital when exploring the world as you not only want to have the right outfits for the weather, you also want the right outfits to match various occasions.

You should keep in mind that you need space in your suitcase for shopping. You can’t travel to an exotic location without buying at least one local item! I have found some incredible items to add to my wardrobe from traveling so you want to leave enough space for shopping.

Packing the fashion essentials

Since I’m traveling a lot for work, I always have to think about my outfits and what to pack, as I need the right mix of work clothes vs. casual clothes. In the past, I have made mistakes of over-packing. When I traveled to Thailand, I stuffed my suitcase with all of the T-shirts and shorts I owned; yet in the end, most were left unworn in my suitcase as I only wore my favorite pieces and didn’t have space for anything else. So I quickly learned: LESS is MORE. I realized that it’s better to bring a FEW of your favorite essential pieces like a pair of blue jeans, black shorts and a couple of basic white shirts along with a good pair of sneakers. The goal here is these few items will complement all sorts of outfits and styles.

When packing, a bit of outfit planning can make life easier: a pair of sunglasses and your favorite accessories like watches can jazz up every outfit. When deciding what to bring along with me on vacation, I have used my past Instagram posts as inspiration. Since taking photos is a large part of my travels, I look at previous posts to help me pack, and I make sure I bring a few picture perfect pieces so I know I have the clothes when it comes time for my signature posts.

For example, before I went to Marrakech, I made sure that I saved all of my favorite photos on Instagram, so I packed the right outfits for the perfect Insta pic. Since social media is such a big thing for us millennials, I wanted to make sure that my outfit is on point. Marrakech is known for its desert brown and orange colors, so I planned my outfits accordingly.

One small thing I always pack and it has saved my life…SUNSCREEN!  Make sure you pack sunscreen. You don’t want to get burned. From my experience traveling to so many unique locations, it is hard to estimate the strength of the sun. The sun is sexy, but it does crazy damage to your skin. It can literally ruin your vacation if you are not prepared. I say this because I’ve had a hard time finding sunscreen for my skin type when I travel. Plan ahead and come prepared. It is small item but I am 24 years old, and I want to stay looking 24 years old 😉

Also, when buying your sunscreen before you leave, look into purchasing travel sizes for your everyday toiletries so you can leave them there after your holiday. Bam, more room in your luggage when you fly home for shopping.

Can you do laundry?!

If yes, it is a live saver. You can pack a lot less, but you can re-use the essentials you bring. No one knows whom you are when you travel; so re-wearing your favorite pieces are acceptable as no one notices. That said, you want them clean. My advice is to NEVER use the hotel laundry service. They charge insane prices to wash your clothes. INSANE. Just ask for the closest laundromat. Trust me, it will take one hour, but it saves you so much in the long run.

I love to travel and have traveled to over 26 countries so far this is my fashion travel advice. It is all about the preparation before leaving that ensures you travel in style and enjoy your vacation.
