Nio García × Casper Mágico – “Now or Never” Hits Big

Nio García and Casper Mágico have taken over the Billboard charts with their first album together, “Now or Never,” which premiered this July 24th. The set of eighteen songs debuted on four Billboard charts, including two in the general market.

During its first week on the charts, “Now or Never” placed in the #5 position on Top Latin Albums, #4 on Latin Rhythm albums, #22 on Independent Albums, and #136 on the Billboard 200. It’s important to point out that this is the first time both Puerto Rican artists have conquered the prestigious Billboard charts together with one album.

“Estar posicionado con nuestro álbum entre los mejores del momento es una bendición para nosotros ya que con mucho sacrificio lo logramos. Entrar a los charts de Billboard es una de las mejores recompensas y por eso, le damos las gracias a todos los fanáticos que han apoyando nuestro proyecto y a nuestro equipo de trabajo por hacer todo esto posible,” (“To be positioned with our album among the best of this time is an honor for us that was achieved with much sacrifice. To enter the Billboard charts is one of the biggest rewards, and for this we give thanks to the fans who have supported our project, and to our team for the work they do to make this possible,”) commented Nio and Casper.

“Now or Never” is the materialization of a dream into reality and the work of a team that García y Casper Mágico have attained, accompanied by their record label Flow La Movie INC. The album includes global successes like “Te boté remix” (Nio García, Casper Mágico, Darell, Nicky Jam, Bad Bunny, and Ozuna) and the smash hit “La Jeepeta Remix” by Nio García together with Anuel AA, Myke Towers, Brray, and Juanka, tracks that remain “trending” today on the social media network TikTok. “Sola y vacía” and “Llamé pa´verte” also form part of this successful album, which contains collaborations with both performers together with Anuel AA, Arcángel, De La Ghetto, Rauw Alejandro, Jowell, and Randy, among others.

Nio García × Casper Mágico – Now or Never

Nio García and Casper Mágico have “savored” success together, and the combination of both of their talents has always resulted in songs that transcend the Latin music industry. This time, the urban-music sensations decided to take it to the next level, by collaborating in a whole album together. Now or Never consists of 18 original songs, including this new summer hit “No se te dio“, a musical collaboration featuring Arcangel and De La Ghetto available today on all digital platforms.

Now or Never is a real dream come true for both interpreters, and the result of years of hard work together with their record label Flow La Movie INC.

The album includes global hits such as “Te Boté Remix” by Nio García, Darell, Casper Mágico, Nicky Jam, Ozuna and Bad Bunny, “La Jeepeta Remix” by Nio García, Anuel AA, Myke Towers, Brray and Juanka, a song that remains trending on the social media platform TikTok. “Sola y vacia” and “Llamé pa´verte” are also part of this album, which contains musical collaborations of both artists together with Anuel AA, Arcángel, De La Ghetto, Rauw Alejandro, Jowell, and Randy, among others.

No se te dio” premieres at the same time as the album Now or Never. This release combines 4 of the greatest Latin Music interpreters: Nio García, Casper Mágico, Arcángel, and De La Ghetto, in a sensual-romantic-catchy track, available today on all digital platforms.

No se te dio promises to become the new hit of the summer, a song that was born for the “party mood” but with a little of romanticism on it. Nio García, Casper Mágico, Arcangel, and De La Ghetto joined forces to write the lyrics, with the production of Xound, under the wing of one of the most successful record labels today Flow La Movie INCand distributed by Glad Empire.

The single premieres with its official music video recorded in the city of Orlando, Florida, and directed by Javy Ferrer from Geniuz Mindz. The filmmaker presents the typical failed love story, in a tropical-Caribbean scenario where sensuality and seduction are the main characters. Watch the official music video for “No se te dio” HERE.

Aminé Drops “Riri” Video

Aminé drops co-directed music video for “Riri”

Portland-based rapper, artist, director, culture shaker and innovative ingenue Aminé delivers his video for “Riri” which he co-directed with longtime visual collaborator Jack Bergert. The video was filmed in quarantine around LA mansions with cameos from the likes of beloved sports broadcaster Taylor Rooks. Aminé even locked writer/comedian Jak Knight, from ABC’s Black-ish, for a closing skit in the “RiRi” video.

“We shot this video before the murder of George Floyd & my knowledge of the Breonna Taylor case,” Aminé writes “but I felt compelled to delay its release for obvious reasons. Activism is essential right now so I put my focus there for the past few weeks. We skipped editing sessions to march in the Black Lives Matter protests. I’m dropping the ‘Riri’ video today because it’s important to show black joy in a time where we’re constantly seeing imagery of pain and suffering.”

Pegged “one of the most creative voices in hip-hop, Aminé shakes the culture every time he releases a new song” (Hot New Hip Hop) and “Riri” is no different. Complex Magazine reportedly “wouldn’t be surpris[ed] if the real Rihanna was caught on Instagram enjoying the new tune.” Hypebeast cosigns that “the centerpiece of ‘Riri’ is Aminé’s soulful hook and reflective lyrics buoyed by bassrich production from frequent collaborator Pasqué.”

In addition to the excitement of the new music video, Aminé has also joined forces with former YEEZY designer Sara Jaramillo and Alice Wang’s ILYSM to offer a $500 grant this week for an artist impacted by COVID-19 shutdowns. Applications for this round of #ILYSM4Artists are due by noon EST on Thursday 6/25 at ILYSM.COM .

About Aminé:

Artists who move culture forward create their own. Aminé’s debut LP, “Good For You” did just that for Portland’s music scene, hiphop and the culture at large — buoyed by his 5x platinum RIAA certified breakout smash “Caroline,” “REDMERCEDES” and “Wedding Crashers” [feat. Offset]. The album which displayed mosaic influence from his parents’ Ethiopian heritage to trailblazers like Kanye West and André 3000, made an instantly indelible impact — scoring a RIAA gold certification, millions of singles streams, Spotify #1s, and 21 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs Chart, peaking at #11. Aminé further solidified himself as a force of nature between explosive festival sets and show-stopping late nights. Maintaining this momentum, while owning his subdued profile and preference for an AirBNB wilderness cabin over a posh studio for recording, Aminé released his self-described 2018 EP/LP/MIXTAPE/ ALBUM “ONEPOINTFIVE.”

Earlier this year, Aminé continued on his promise to change perceptions and defy expectations with “Shimmy” paying homage to his past, while declaring 2020 as his. Accompanied by a co-directed music video love letter to Portland, the song garnered 20 Million streams globally and the gamut of fanfare which you can watch here. Continuing to expand his influence, Aminé also recently appeared on HBO’s Insecure this month.
