About JAGMAC

Growing up in a large, lively Filipino-Polish-American household, the six-piece, whose name comes from the first initial of its members’ names from youngest to oldest: Jared, Angelique, Gabriel, Manjo, Alyssa and CJ, discovered the shared power of their talents and bright personalities as a unit and began bringing their vision as a musical group to life, delivering music with the power to resonate in every corner of the globe. By integrating sounds, styles, and spirits from around the world, JAGMAC inspires culture and music to move as one. To date, the group has tallied over 3 million YouTube views, 2.6 million Spotify streams, and received media acclaim from the likes of Billboard, Hollywood Life, KTLA, Just Jared Jr, J-14, Tiger Beat, AXS, and Substream Magazine among others. Recognizing a collective power to unite even the most seemingly disparate of vibes, the siblings have also garnered an incredible following on TikTok, accumulating over 71 million views and 740K followers.

Combining their love for pop, dance music, hip-hop, and rap, JAGMAC’s explosive, upbeat songs are impossible to categorize as any single genre. Instead, the group’s music is connected by a simple mission: to spread positivity. They’ve been successful in this mission with their hit, feel-good songs taking them to arenas and stadiums around the globe, sharing the stage with the likes of The Chainsmokers, CNCO, Becky G, and Ava Max, in addition to performing at Arthur Ashe Stadium at the US Open, Times Square for Wonderama hosted by David Osmond (nephew of Donny and Marie Osmond) and co-hosted by Coco and Breezy, and London’s iconic O2 Arena opening for Little Mix on their U.K. tour.

Since forming the band in 2014, one performance after another paved the way for JAGMAC’s quiet rise independently. Upon release, their single “Soldiers” reached #1 on Billboard‘s Breakout Chart for Dance Club Songs, peaked at #15 on the Dance Club Songs Chart, and #5 on the Commercial Pop Chart. In 2018, JAGMAC released their debut EP featuring title track Right Back With You” which shot to #6 on the Commercial Pop Top 30 in the UK and #3 on the Upfront CLUB Top 30 UK. That same year, the band was crowned Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing placing them in good company with alumni such as Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Alessia Cara, and Why Don’t We. They soon returned with their sophomore EP, Like A Band, featuring lead single and title track “Like A Band” which launched to over 1 million streams and received support from Sirius XM and Spotify on the Pop Remix, Happy Beats, and Dance Rising playlists. “We Found Love” is the latest in a string of singles from the band joining “MASARAP” which pays tribute to their Filipino heritage and “Motivation” as it speaks to the moments that inspire the band to continue chasing their dreams.

For JAGMAC, 2022 is looking to be their biggest year yet, thanks to a new management partnership with Jeffery David of Cranberry Management, who guided multi-platinum band Echosmith to worldwide status. “I am so excited about all things JAGMAC and what they are about. The songs are so good and what they stand for is something the world really needs right now which is LOVE,” shares David.

It’s safe to say, JAGMAC shows no signs of slowing down. Stay tuned for even more new music from the band coming soon!

BOYBAND – NEVER KNOWS BEST

Boyband never knows best Out Now Via Dirty Hit, Reveals Newest Focus Track please don’t waste my time (ft. No Rome)

“[boyband] suggests the third wave of the emo-rap revival is here” – New York Times

“a vision of the future of alternative” – AFROPUNK

“boyband’s music is meant to be cathartic – both for himself and his listeners” – Hollywood Life

“boyband mixes Midwestern emo and contemporary rap in his genre-defying release” – Alternative Press

“the perfect fusion of nostalgia and hip-hop’s growing penchant for late-stage emo” – Ones To Watch

Grammy nominated producer/creator boyband has released never knows best, his sophomore project which zooms in on the complicated feelings associated with growing up. Accompanying the project’s release is please don’t waste my time (ft. No Rome), the newest focus track for boyband.

“please don’t waste my time” joins “birth by sleep” and “by myself,” – both previously released from never knows best – to form a trilogy tucked within boyband’s emotionally-charged project that magnifies how quickly dependency can send a blossoming relationship into a toxic and destructive spiral. “birth by sleep” and “by myself” create a captivating one-two punch of pop and punk, highlighting boyband’s dynamic ability to entangle the intricacies of hip hop, power-pop, and indie. Balancing a melancholy message – the struggle to overcome hopelessness borne from the fear of rejection – with mischievously catchy summer-pop songwriting, “birth by sleep” is juxtaposed by the frenzied and frantic atmosphere of second chapter, “by myself,” which parallels the apprehension, anxiety, and fear of being alone that the narrator experiences following an unexpected breakup. Meanwhile, “please don’t waste my time” makes it clear that hope is not lost.

Elsewhere on never knows best is “fooly cooly,” which navigates the personality, mentality, and psyche of troubled FLCL character Mamimi Samejima. The philosophical title of the project was inspired by Mamimi who scribbles the words never knows best on her cigarette. Throughout the project’s 10 tracks, boyband uses his lyrics to speak candidly about depression and the intense experiences of indifference, despondency, and social fatigue often felt by young adults in an effort to normalize these conversations. never knows best has garnered support from the likes of Hollywood Life, All Things Go, AFROPUNK, and Alternative Press who included boyband in their 40 New Artists You Need To Know feature.

The exploration of Mamimi’s character arc isn’t the first time that anime has stirred boyband to create. “death note” (feat. Billy Martin of Good Charlotte) – which appeared on his emotionally charged, 10-track project, alone in a boyband – was influenced by the 37-episode anime series and manga series of the same name.

Like the art that inspired them, “fooly cooly” and “death note” use deeply profound storytelling to expand and normalize the conversation surrounding the trouble spots in society experienced by teens today. The intimate and unique connections between boyband and his fans has allowed him to create a community-like platform through his songs, like “by myself,” “birth by sleep,” “tattoo,” “realtree” and “big face” (ft. Mike Kinsella), where fans can bond as they transition from teenagers into independent adults.

In the lead up to the album, Saint Motel made history as “the first band to open their own virtual metaverse” powered by Mozilla Hubs. The virtual world is designed as a motel with each room dedicated to a song on The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The quartet’s launch of “New World” welcomed fans to the virtual space where Jackson performed a live acoustic set. Projecting pop hooks through an alternative lens with a flair for dramatic presentation, Saint Motel make music worthy of the big screen. Streamed and viewed over half-a-billion times, the platinum-selling Los Angeles quartet magnify this vision with immersive live experiences and one unpredictable move after another. The group initially came together at film school before introducing themselves on 2012’s Voyeur. Signing to Elektra Records, their 2014 My Type EP boasted both the gold-certified title track “My Type” and fan favorite “Cold Cold Man.” In 2016, saintmotelevision yielded the smash “Move.” Flipping the script once again, the musicians reimagined the record with a series of history-making first-of-their-kind innovations: an award-winning Virtual Reality version and an Augmented Reality version. In 2019, Saint Motel launched their most ambitious undertaking yet, unveiling their third full-length album in three parts. First up, they uncovered The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack Pt. 1 powered by the shimmy and shake of Alternative Top 15 lead single “Van Horn.” Between packing houses coast to coast on headline jaunts and earning acclaim from People, Billboard, and more, the four-piece rolled out Pt. 2 throughout 2020. In addition to unforgettable sets everywhere from Coachella and Lollapalooza to Bonnaroo, the boys lit up shows such as NBC’s TODAY, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden, among others.

Shaylen – Forgive Myself

“Forgive Myself” is about learning one of the hardest lessons in life…self-forgiveness. Written and produced during self-isolation, the song shows the brutally honest pen-game that has become the hallmark of Shaylen’s reputation. “Forgive Myself” was executive produced and co-written by Jackson Foote from the much beloved electro pop group Loote and produced by Boston from Rice N’ Peas (Bazzi, Kiana Ledé, Anne Marie).

The track shows yet another side of the lyrical songstress. Airy guitar underscores confessions many may have but are hard to confront as she admits, “Don’t know how to love myself without somebody hanging in my bed” and “Don’t know how to be alone without the thought of crawling out my skin.” It builds towards an impressive vocal run fueled by just the right amount of throwback R&B vocal fireworks and pop punch.

Of the track, Shaylen says, “I wrote ‘Forgive Myself’ when I was in a really tough spot mentally. It’s all about my personal struggle with self-forgiveness. We are often taught the importance of apologizing and forgiving others but not the importance of forgiving ourselves when we mess up. I invented apologies, so I know all about it…”

“Forgive Myself” paves the way for more music to come from Shaylen this summer, as she continues to build buzz with her honest lyrics and powerhouse vocals. She recently lent her voice to the Chantel Jeffries banger “Come Back To Me.” It’s already clocked over 1.2 million Spotify streams and counting. In addition to plugs from Billboard, E! News, Variety, Elite Daily and more, CULTR praised Shaylen’s “powerful and meaningful vocals.”

Shaylen leaves a mark on pop by casually dropping the sort of lines you get tattooed somewhere scandalous or reserve for a drunk DM. Unafraid, unapologetic and unfiltered, she’ll put a boring ex on blast in one breath and open up about her deepest insecurities in the next. Yet, she sets gleefully pins those confessions to a defiant soundtrack of R&B, pop and alternative across her debut EP Highs & Lows and the buzzing 2019 single “Sprite.” Posting up over 10 million streams within a year and receiving praise from Billboard, Just Jared, Hollywood Life, Popdust and Idolator who pegged her as “on the brink of a major breakthrough,” the Los Angeles-based singer and songwriter turns heads in 2020 with a series of singles and her forthcoming full-length debut album for Republic Records.
