Paris Jackson – Bandaid

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress, and activist paris jackson unveils her new single “bandaid” out today via Republic Records—listen HERE.

Drawing influences from 90’s grunge and alternative, the spirited anthem was sonically inspired by Interpol, Smashing Pumpkins, and Nirvana and lyrically inspired by Andy Hull and Conor Oberst. It follows her critically acclaimed 2022 singles “just you” and “lighthouse.” Last fall, paris debuted “bandaid” live for the first time with a stripped-back, acoustic performance for SPIN—watch it HERE.

Of the song, paris says, “this is the type of music i used to dream of making myself when i was 14 discovering nirvana and pixies for the first time. lyrically it’s the most raw and vulnerable i’ve ever been in any of my songs. it’s the first track i’ve truly let loose and yelled on in the studio, which you can hear in the third chorus, and i feel like that’s why it had to be the title track for my next record.”

She continues, “i’m grateful to have also started producing, and simon oscroft has been the perfect partner to do that with after having learned everything i know from andy and Rob in the studio previously. i’m also deeply honored by my good friend anthony salazar, who, when i said, ‘hit those drums harder than Tommy Lee on wild side,’ did just that. i hope there are people out there that get from it what i got from albums like “i’m wide awake, it’s morning” by bright eyes, a record that truly made me feel heard and understood from the inside out.

paris is currently on tour with The Silversun Pickups across North America—see the upcoming dates below. Last year, she hit the road with The RevivalistsCourteeners, and Royal & the Serpent, in addition to performing her own headline shows in New York and Los Angeles and making her debut at SXSW and Boston Calling. Not to mention, this summer, she’ll perform at more US festivals, including BottleRock and Bonnaroo.

In 2020, paris delivered her debut album, wilted, joined by collaborators Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra. Upon arrival, it captured #1 on the iTunes US Alternative Albums Chart and incited the applause of NPRRolling StoneAssociated PressEntertainment WeeklyE! NewsPeopleNMENYLONRefinery29WWD, and more. Additionally, she ignited late-night television with an emotionally charged rendition of “let down” on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!paris remained prolific in 2021 with The Struts’ collaboration “Low Key In Love,” before sharing the lost EP as a surprise gift for her fans in early 2022. Last summer, paris re-introduced herself with an honest and raw signature sound, marked by singles “lighthouse” and “just you.” Inspired by 90’s bands like Weezer and Marvelous 3, “lighthouse” was produced by singer, songwriter, musician, and producer Butch Walker and features Mike McCready of Pearl Jam on guitar. paris debuted the song with an electrifying live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

paris jackson – lighthouse

Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, actress and activist paris jackson unveiled her brand-new single entitled “lighthouse” out now via Republic Records—listen to “lighthouse” HERE. The song was produced by singer, songwriter, musician and producer Butch Walker

The single is released alongside the official music video, which was inspired by the iconic video for Nirvana‘s “Sliver.” In the video, paris pays homage with a photo of Kurt Cobain—a full circle moment to the original video. Watch the “lighthouse” video HERE.

The song channels unbridled nineties rock energy as it harnesses the power of a classic alternative dynamic with a twist of its own. paris’ hypnotic verses give way to a chantable chorus, “I can feel the lights go low, but I don’t wanna let go now, maybe if I turn around you’ll see me, and what you used to be,” before a hummable guitar solo.

On the song, paris says, “I continued to write about this same old heartbreak that wilted is about. A lot of the new songs coming out are similar stories about the same person and heartbreak. I guess I’m just exploring different feelings. wilted was a more melancholy record, and now I’m exploring more of the anger…”

paris recently lit up SXSW with her debut performance at the festival, landing looks from Billboard, The Recording Academy’s Grammy U and more. Back in 2020, she delivered her debut album, wilted, joined by collaborators Andy Hull and Robert McDowell of Manchester Orchestra. Upon arrival, it captured #1 on the iTunes US Alternative Albums Chart and incited the applause of NPR, Rolling Stone, Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, E! News, People, NME, NYLON, Refinery29, WWD and more. Additionally, she ignited late-night television with an emotionally charged rendition of “let down” on Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!. paris remained prolific in 2021 with The Struts’ collaboration “Low Key In Love,” before sharing the lost EP as a surprise gift for her fans in early 2022. Now, paris jackson re-introduces herself with an honest and raw signature sound.

Paris Jackson – adagio

Paris Jackson surprises fans with the release of a new song “adagio” featuring Manchester Orchestra today. Listen to “adagio” HERE.

The track unfolds as a simmering psychedelic slow burn. Embers of distortion glow underneath Paris’s hypnotic delivery as she locks into an unbreakable groove with Manchester Orchestra. Clocking in at just shy of seven minutes, the track culminates on a moment of empowering and entrancing catharsis. Once again, she illuminates the scope of her sweeping and soaring vision. The accompanying music video brings this emotional push-and-pull to life in vivid fashion as well.

Paris has consistently collaborated with Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull. He notably co-wrote and produced her 2020 full-length debut album, wilted.

Upon release, wilted hit #1 on the iTunes Alternative Albums Chart and was praised by NPR, Rolling Stone, Billboard, Associated Press, Entertainment Weekly, E! News, People, NME, NYLON, Refinery29, WWD and more. Rolling Stone hailed the album as “well-crafted indie-pop,” while NME described it as “11 intimate songs that’ll fit like your favourite sweater.”

About Paris Jackson

While Paris hails from one of the most successful families in music history, she is best known for her activism, acting and modeling work. The latter of which has seen her front campaigns for international brands like Calvin Klein, grace the cover of top fashion magazines and make her runway debut earlier this year at Jean-Paul Gaultier’s final show. On the acting front, Paris has taken on several TV and film roles, collaborating with acclaimed industry professionals, including Lee Daniels, Charlize Theron, Joel Edgerton, and Rachel Winters. Aside from music, Paris’ biggest passion has always been in using her platform to shine light on causes important to her, notably going off script while presenting at the Grammy Awards and MTV VMAs, to highlight the Dakota Access Pipeline and events of racial injustice in Charlottesville, respectively. Paris also serves as an Ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) and is passionate about continuing her godmother’s legacy of ridding the stigma and finding a cure for the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Formed in Derby, England, in 2012, The Struts have found themselves massively embraced by some of the greatest icons in rock-and-roll history. Along with opening for Foo Fighters, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Guns N’ Roses, the UK-bred four-piece band was handpicked by Mötley Crüe to serve as the supporting act for their last-ever performances. Releasing their debut album Everybody Wants in 2016 and sophomore album YOUNG & DANGEROUS in 2018, they’ve toured incessantly since their formation, including worldwide headline shows and major festivals like Lollapalooza, Governors Ball, and Isle of Wight. When COVID-19 brought touring to a halt, The Struts created their third album Strange Days over the course of a charmed and frenzied burst of creativity last spring. After getting tested for COVID-19, the band moved into the L.A. home of producer Jon Levine and, within just ten days, laid down nine original tracks alongside their masterful cover of a KISS B-side.

Paris Jackson’s Late-Night Debut

Paris Jackson made her late-night television debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! performing “let down” from her debut album wilted. This eleven-song album was released via Republic Records in early November. Upon its release, wilted received widespread critical acclaim and climbed to #1 on the iTunes US Alternative Albums Chart. Filmed at the world-famous Viper Room on the Sunset Strip, the performance illuminates the nuances of her presence and understated, yet palpable star-power.

Jackson has gained amazing reviews from a variety of publications. Rolling Stone labeled Jackson’s music as “well-crafted indie-pop,” while People said “Paris Jackson is blazing her own path in the music industry.” While talking about her album, wilted, the New York Post said, “There is a dreamy wooziness, a sultry torchiness, a haunting moodiness to ‘wilted’…”

While Paris hails from one of the most successful families in music history, she is best known for her activism, acting & modeling work, the latter of which has seen her front campaigns for international brands like Calvin Klein, grace the cover of top fashion magazines, including numerous Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar titles, and make her runway debut earlier this year at Jean-Paul Gaultier’s final show.

The Soundflowers – Your Look (Glorious)

Today, The Soundflowers, featuring Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn, debuts the official video for “Your Look (Glorious)”—watch HERE! The full-length video was executive produced and shot by Prince Jackson via his production house King’s Son Productions.

“Your Look (Glorious)” is taken from the band’s self-titled debut EP, The Soundflowers, released last month to widespread acclaim via IMPERIAL. Billboard hailed “Your Look (Glorious)” as “simply romantic,” while Idolator proclaimed “The Soundflowers make a winning first impression” and Hollywood Life praised the EP as “five songs full of indie-folk goodness.”

This morning, Paris and Prince appeared on Good Morning America to discuss The Soundflowers, “Your Look (Glorious)” and more—watch their interview HERE. On collaborating with Prince, Paris says, “I was really comfortable working with my brother, it just felt natural.”

The Soundflowers’ five-track debut project eclectically blends indie acoustic and folk with influences of blues, soul, bluegrass country and beach reggae. The EP was produced by Mike Malchicoff (King Princess) with GRAMMY Award-winning mix engineer Rob Kinelski (Billie Eilish), and it is accompanied by video vignettes created by award-winning director Hannah Lux Davis (Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Nicki Minaj). The band is donating their net proceeds from merchandise sales to Black Women Lead, Black Voters Matter Fund, and BEAM through the end of this month. Merchandise is now available via thesoundflowersmerch.com.

The Soundflowers’ six-part Facebook Watch Original Docuseries, “Unfiltered: Paris Jackson & Gabriel Glenn,” is currently airing every Tuesday at 3AM PT/6AM ET through August 4th. The docuseries explores the band’s journey together beyond the music—watch the latest episode HERE and check out the band’s recent performance of “Geronimo” HERE.

The Soundflowers was born after Jackson and Glenn first crossed paths at Los Angeles’ Rainbow Bar and Grill during a TrashDögs performance, the rock ‘n’ roll band fronted by Gabriel. They quickly realized that their musical energies and passions aligned, as Paris recalls, “I started writing around 13 when I bought myself a guitar; I didn’t really start sharing or recording it until I met Gabriel.” Of their first time working on music together at Gabriel’s band’s rehearsal studio, he says, “We showed each other songs and even wrote a few on the spot. Everything fit together so naturally, from our voices to our songwriting style. I had never met someone who fit so perfectly with my sound.”

About The Soundflowers

The sound behind The Soundflowers is an eclectic take on indie acoustic and folk music, as the band attributes their songwriting to influences like The Beatles, Joe Purdy, Ray LaMontagne, Radiohead and The Lumineers. While Paris Jackson hails from one of the most successful families in music history, she is best known for her activism, acting and modeling work, the latter of which has seen her front campaigns for international brands like Calvin Klein, gracing the cover of top fashion magazines, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar titles and making her runway debut earlier this year at Jean Paul Gaultier’s final show. On the acting front, Paris has taken on several TV and film roles, collaborating with acclaimed industry professionals, including Lee Daniels, Charlize Theron, Joel Edgerton and Rachel Winters. Aside from music, Paris’ biggest passion has always been in using her platform to shine light on causes important to her, notably going off-script while presenting at the GRAMMY Awards and MTV VMAs, to highlight the Dakota Access Pipeline and events of racial injustice in Charlottesville, respectably. Paris also serves as an Ambassador for the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation (ETAF) and is passionate about continuing her godmother’s legacy of ridding the stigma and finding a cure for the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Gabriel Glenn has always leaned into his musical talents, which first emerged while singing in the car with his mom on the way to school and further cultivated by forming bands with friends in his youth and studying music at the collegiate level in his home state of Louisiana. Upon moving to Los Angeles several years ago, Gabriel and a couple close friends formed the “desert rock ‘n’ roll” band TrashDögs, which has found local success performing at popular haunts along the Sunset Strip. Upon meeting Paris and forming The Soundflowers, Gabriel feels more complete as an artist: “She creates so naturally and honestly; it inspires me to be a better songwriter. I think having a unique spirit like hers allows us to channel things we’d never receive on our own.”
