Tobias Dray New Single "Fuk It" Cover Art via Big Hassle Media for use by 360 MAGAZINE

TOBIAS DRAY – FUK IT

TOBIAS DRAY DOCUMENTS HIS DESCENT INTO MADNESS ON NEW SINGLE FUK IT LISTEN

TERRORIZES THE STREETS OF NEW YORK IN ANIME-MEETS-REALITY MUSIC VIDEO  WATCH

Up next in his string of deviant from the mainstream releases, French producer turned rock emblem Tobias Dray today releases FUK IT with an equally as angsty official video. After watching fans voraciously open the pit to this song night after night on his sold-out headline tour of Europe and Canada this summer, Dray was straining at the leash to get this song out into the ether. FUK IT is now available on all DSPs stream the official video HERE.

Today’s single is nothing short of a middle finger to societal constraints. With lyrics like, If I wanna dance, I do it / If I wanna scream, I do it/ If I make a scene, I do listeners are brought into how little Dray cares if anyone has something to say about how he chooses to express himself.

In the official video directed by Martin Klapperbein, we see Dray take on the role of a disgruntled businessman who has been pushed past his brink by his boss. Trashing his office and then evolving into an anime style Joker-esque villain, he takes to the streets of New York for an overly animated, disorienting whirlwind of a breakdown. This descent into madness matches the manic energy of the track. From how the video was publicly filmed, you can tell that Dray truly doesn’t care at all what people think of him.

On the single, Dray said, “I wanted to create myself as a character who goes nuts, and is too tired from overthinking and taking care of stuff that doesn’t matter.”

Earlier this year, Dray released the cinematic Bottle of Bombay and the bass-driven world of Espada Primo. These two releases, along with today’s, are heavily influenced by his affinity for anime. This year’s releases have been met with praise from the likes of Consequence, The FADER and EUPHORIA, and he’s only getting started.

ABOUT TOBIAS DRAY

At only 25 years old, Tobias Dray already has a decade in the music industry under his belt. A well-polished producer turned recording artist, the French musician is an agitator of what the indie-electronic genre typically entails. Having lived in Paris, London, Toronto, and soon heading to New York, Dray’s music has a depth that could only be crafted by someone prone to open-minded experimentation across the globe.

Dray recognizes the role of a musician as a savvy marketer of their own brand and has built an online army of supporters, from millions of followers on TikTok, to his Spotify listenership that is quickly closing in on 1 million people monthly. His music has received early nods from Spotify, winning him coveted positions on the covers of the Lorem and Fresh Finds playlists. His most streamed track to date HMU has garnered over 11 million streams on Spotify alone. Earlier this summer, Dray set out on a sold-out headline tour of Europe and Canada in support of his latest releases. The rest of this year will see an influx of new releases as the artist continues to push the envelope.

MAGGIE ROGERS – SURRENDER

On July 29, 2022, Capitol Records released Maggie Rogers new album, Surrender – the follow-up to 2019’s Heard It in a Past Life, which entered Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart at No. 1, landed her a GRAMMY nomination for Best New Artist and went on to amass over one billion combined global streams. Raw and revelatory, Surrender finds the acclaimed producer/songwriter/performer examining the most complex emotions with fierce, unflinching vulnerability and alchemizing that heightened feeling into her most joyful output yet. Download / stream Surrender.

Earlier this week, Rogers returned to “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” and performed her new single, Want Want. Praising the song’s “intensity and crunchy guitar tones,” The New York Times said, “this tale of long-sublimated desire-finally finds an explosive expression in its chorus: ‘And I want you.'” V Magazine said, “‘Want Want’ is a booming track, backed by a groovy drumline and Roger’s own powerful vocals.” View the official video for Want Want,” which Rogers shot in a NYC karaoke bar with director Warren FuHERE.

Hailing Rogers as a “pop music prodigy- an artist who’s in it for the long haul,” Rolling Stone said, “She’s someone who can command banjo-strummed roots music, streaming-friendly synth-pop, and anthemic arena rock.” In this feature, The New York Times praised Surrender as “a hypnotically danceable ode to ecstatic abandon, making leaps and navigating worry.” The Associated Press declares, “the new album only solidifies Rogers as one of the most interesting singer-songwriters out there-brash, confident, compelling and occasionally profane.” Consequence observed, “Surrender is a wholly open and vulnerable turn from Maggie Rogers- her writing has gotten all the more sharp and incisive.” SPIN declared, “(Surrender is) a vibrant and provocative studio album-(Rogers) proved herself as an impassion performer ‘with songs designed to blow people away.'”

The album’s first single, That’s Where I Am,” was included on Former President Barack Obama‘s 2022 Summer Playlist and “Best Songs of 2022 (So Far)” lists from Esquire, SPIN and Paste The video features cameos by David ByrneQuil Lemons and Hamilton Leithauser. Watch the clip for new track “Horses” which Rogers co-directed with Michael Scanlon HERE.

In the days leading up to the album’s release, Metrograph in New York City gave fans the opportunity to preview the album – and view three of the films that inspired it – with the “Surrender Film Club,” a three-night series of screening and listening sessions at the independent movie theatre. American Express Card Members had early access to purchase tickets before the general public to last night’s “Maggie Rogers, The Surrender Release Show – Presented by American Express,” a celebratory concert at Webster Hall on the evening of Surrender‘s debut.

After multiple sold-out headline tours and major festival performances in support of Heard It in a Past Life, Rogers retreated to the coast of Maine in early 2020 and completely cut herself off from the noise of the outside world. For months on end, she spent most of her time reading and resting and walking along the jagged cliffs, compelled by the fierce and unforgiving nature of the North Atlantic Ocean. Channeling the ocean’s unruly energy, she soon arrived at the controlled chaos and ecstatic physicality that would come to define Surrender. The album was co-produced by Kid Harpoon and Rogers and recorded in three distinct locations (her parents’ garage in Maine, Electric Lady Studios in New York City, Peter Gabriel’s Real World Studios near Bath, England). Over the course of 12 unfettered yet exactingly crafted tracks, Rogers fully captures the frenetic intensity of the last two years of her life, bringing her bracing honesty to stories of anger and peace and self-salvation, transcendence through sex and freedom through letting go. Erika Sirola New Album, "Who?" via Elektra Music Group for use by 360 MAGAZINE

 ERIKA SIROLA – WHO?

23-year-old Finland native Erika Sirola has announced her debut EP, Who? The four-track collection is set to arrive August 5th via Elektra Records and is available for presave now.

To celebrate the announcement, Sirola has unveiled her brand new single All In My Head, available now on all streaming platforms. The track arrives alongside a cinematic music video directed by Nico Poalillo, which is streaming now on Erika’s official YouTube channel. Written in London when Sirola was just 18, All In My Head is an ineffably catchy piece of alt-pop, unfolding in lush yet jagged textures and choir-like harmonies as she confesses her insecurity with a potent candor.

Sirola commented, All In My Head was written in London back in 2017, so I was a mere 18 years old. My head was most certainly not all there I was very confused as to who I was and what I wanted out of myself, my music and my life. The song is from the mind and heart of a very different individual and it’s clear when listening, but it marks and represents a significant step to who I have become. It marked a time of solidifying my sense of purpose of creating art to writing music. Looking back at it now, I am grateful to be able to see how scared I was to take risks in my creativity. I’m excited to see what others take from the song and how differently they will react and respond.

Last month, the artist announced her signing to Elektra Records and shared debut single End Of The Day. The news was shared exclusively via Consequence, who raved, End Of The Day embodies Sirola’s unique voice. Starting as a soft-spoken piano ballad, it soon falls into a world of dramatic synth pads and a drumbeat that sounds like it’s ripped from a club hit all without losing its emotionalityEarly Rising attested, Sirola’s sultry, strong, and raw vocal abilities are incredibly captivating from the moment the song begins, floating whimsically over the lovesick soundscape. Sirola has the innate ability to turn pain into something beautiful. Her creativity knows no bounds, and this song is just the beginning, while MUD Magazine declared Erika Sirola’s debut single gives us the most beautiful combination of profound lyricism with a freshly unique sound.

Opening in stark simplicity then slowly building to a glorious whirlwind of fast and frantic beats, End Of The Day tilts heartbreak into something strangely sublime. The single is available now on all streaming services and is accompanied by a captivating performance video directed by Nico Paolillo, which is streaming on Erika’s official YouTube channel. In addition to being a longtime piano player, guitarist, and clothing designer, Sirola is also a talented visual artist and designed the EP’s mixed-media art.

About Erika Sirola:

For Erika Sirola, the act of creating is an impulse as natural as breathing. Growing up in Helsinki (and spending most summers with her mother’s family in Canada), Sirola first discovered the power of alchemizing pain into art as a young child. A songwriter since the age of eight, the 23-year-old Finland native landed her first record deal at 12 and spent much of her late adolescence and early adulthood living in such far-flung cities as L.A. and Berlin and London, gradually shaping a singular musical identity informed by everything from art-pop to techno to the more esoteric edges of folk, jazz and experimental music. Newly signed to Elektra Records, Sirola centers the beguiling vocal presence she first brought as a featured artist on Robin Schulz’s 2018 smash hit Speechless to make her debut with upcoming EP Who? arriving August 5th and offering a dazzling first glimpse at the wild expanse of her creativity.

guccihighheels – Heartbreak Highway

Genre-defying artist, producer and songwriter guccihighwaters has released his major label debut EP, heartbreak highway. The six-track collection is available to stream and download via Public Consumption in partnership with Elektra Music Group HERE. To celebrate the EP’s arrival, guccihighwaters has unveiled a brand new official music video for intimate piano ballad, “believe.” Watch the Ross Ginsberg-directed visual on guccihighwaters‘ official YouTube channel HERE.

“My goal with this new EP was to showcase how much I’ve grown over the years, especially with my lyrics and vocals,” shares guccihighwaters. “I’ve been having so much fun experimenting with new sounds, and I truly believe this is my best music yet. I’m so glad to put it out into the world.”

In late 2021, guccihighwaters holed up in a Los Angeles studio with producer Courtney Ballard [Waterparks]. He absorbed the spirit of diverse inspirations, ranging from Lionel Richie‘s “Dancing on the Ceiling” and the Drive Original Motion Picture Soundtrack to The Weeknd. “Courtney played a bunch of eighties beats for me,” guccihighwaters recalls. “I was into a lot of synth-revival music, so it was cool to hear where it came from. I took the synths and the drum grooves and morphed my style to fit those elements. It felt natural.”

guccihighwaters announced his signing to Public Consumption last month alongside the release of tracks “crash my car” and “devil on my shoulder.” Earlier this month, he formally announced the heartbreak highway EP and unveiled the synth-driven single “the chase” alongside an official music video. Signifying a new era in guccihighwaters’ ever-evolving sound, the EP’s early releases arrived to immediate praise from Alt Press, Consequence, Ones To Watch and more.

guccihighwaters is currently on the road in North America supporting nothing, nowhere. The 25-city trek kicked off last month and will conclude on May 27 in New York, NY at Irving Plaza. The bill also includes Poorstacy, carolesdaughter and Snarls. This fall, guccihighwaters will support nothing, nowhere. on tour in the UK and Europe. A complete list of upcoming tour dates can be found HERE

Arriving to widespread acclaim, KERRANG! promised, “Whatever genre you label the tunes, the music of guccihighwaters doesn’t joke around when it comes to conveying emotion in its rawest form.” Alt Press lauded the “accomplished artist poised to be a star,” while Ones To Watch proclaimed, “the sounds from singer/producer Morgan Murphy are as raw as it gets.” Billboard applauded standout single “rock bottom” [feat. nothing, nowhere.] as “the highlight of guccihighwaters’ joke’s on you album,” and NME praised the track as “an introspective blend of alt-rock and dark hip-hop flourishes—a marked progression from the online emo scene.”

About guccihighwaters

guccihighwaters glides through a soundscape familiar enough to catch your attention, yet futuristic enough to hold it. The artist, singer, and producer not only blurs the lines between alternative, R&B and hip-hop, but also the boundaries between yesterday, today and tomorrow. Growing up in between Long Beach, NY and Ireland, he maintained a diehard passion for music. After discovering Yung Lean at 18-year-old, he crafted beats all night. A year into this evening ritual, he picked up a microphone and penned lyrics to anesthetize the pain of his first breakup. His first collection of songs comprised the post death EP in 2017. Among many standouts, the fan favorite “i’m so sick of this” gathered 51.6 million Spotify streams and counting. In its wake, he unleashed music at a prolific pace, including multiple EPs and his 2021 full-length debut, jokes on you. LYN LAPID – XMAS 01

LYN LAPID DROPS XMAS 01 FEATURING “MESSED UP ON CHRISTMAS” AND “CANDY CANE KISSES”

CURRENTLY ON TOUR WITH CLAIRE ROSINKRANZ

Lyn Lapid releases XMAS 01, which features two new original holiday songs, “Messed Up On Christmas” and “Candy Cane Kisses.”

Lyn says, “I’m so excited for my first Christmas themed release. The first song of the bundle is called ‘Messed Up On Christmas,’ and it’s a little sad girl song about feeling lonely around the holiday season. I feel like a lot of people can relate to wanting to spend Christmas with someone special, but not being able to. Ironically, the second song of the bundle is called ‘Candy Cane Kisses,’ which is sonically the literal opposite of the first song, and it’s dedicated to that special someone, whoever that may be, and not wanting anybody or anything else but that person for Christmas. I hope y’all enjoy it! It was so fun recording them.”

The breakout songstress is currently on a sold-out tour with Gen Z singer-songwriter Claire Rosinkranz—see the upcoming list of dates below. The string of dates marks the first-ever tour for both up and coming artists. Get tickets and more information HERE.

XMAS 01 follows the release of Lyn’s latest single, “In My Mind,” which is having a viral moment across TikTok and streaming platforms. The song recently surpassed over 32 million global streams, peaking at 566 thousand daily streams on Spotify. It peaked at #8 on Spotify’s Global Viral 50 Chart, #6 on Spotify’s US Viral 50 Chart, and #4 on TikTok’s US Top Tracks.

Dedicated to the “‘quiet kids’ such as [herself]”, Lyn first teased “In My Mind” on TikTok a week before it was released, and the video quickly garnered over 4 million song views and 1 million likes in just a few days with her fans lovingly dubbing the song the “quiet kids song.” “In My Mind” has been praised by Consequence, SPIN, Atwood Magazine, and more, with HYPEBAE proclaiming, “Lapid’s soothing vocals seamlessly blend with the airy notes of the guitar,” and Ones To Watch praising her as “a fearless and irrefutable voice of Gen Z.”

“In My Mind” arrives during a breakout year for Lyn Lapid – she released her first three singles, “Producer Man,” “Itsy Bitsy,” and “Infinite,” received co-signs from Billie Eilish, BTS’ Jungkook, Sabrina Carpenter, and more, amassed over 138 million global streams to date, and been praised by the likes of Rolling Stone, Buzzfeed, E! At 19-years-old, the singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and member of vocal collective EARCANDY has unassumingly emerged as an unapologetic and undeniable voice for her generation. Lyn Lapid – In My Mind

LYN LAPID RELEASES VIDEO FOR FAN-FAVORITE SINGLE “IN MY MIND”

WATCH HERE

After amassing over 4 million song views and 1 million likes on TikTok before officially releasing the song, singer and songwriter Lyn Lapid drops the video for her latest single, “In My Mind”—watch HERE!

On making the video, Lyn says, “I knew from the start that I wanted the video to center around the many things that run through my mind, and so what better way than to focus on the concept of daydreaming? The entire video focuses on me working at a mundane office job, trying not to doze off while I get the paperwork done. Then suddenly you see me go on a rampage, chuck office supplies everywhere, and maybe swing a bat once or twice at my stingy mannequin boss. The catch is that whatever you see when I’m not typing my life away at my computer is all a daydream. It was exhilarating being able to destroy the office space in my little rampage moment, I think it was the first time someone ever told me to let loose and make a mess. I loved working with everyone on set, and one of the best parts was all of the snacks there. Eliot Lee is super talented, and he did a fantastic job bringing my initial vision for the video to life.”

Dedicated to the “‘quiet kids’ such as [herself]”, Lyn first teased “In My Mind” on TikTok a week before it was released, and the video quickly garnered over 3 million views in just a few days with her fans lovingly dubbing the song the “quiet kids song.” “In My Mind” has already amassed over 1 million streams in just a few weeks, and not to mention, it has been praised by ConsequenceSPINAtwood Magazine, and more, with HYPEBAE proclaiming, “Lapid’s soothing vocals seamlessly blend with the airy notes of the guitar,” and Ones To Watch praising her as “a fearless and irrefutable voice of Gen Z.”

Lyn says, “I wrote ‘In My Mind’ about my experience growing up as the ‘quiet kid.’ People would always tell me how I never talked at all and how quiet I was. Well, they weren’t wrong, I kept to myself all throughout school, even when I hung out with my friends. I remember when I sang for my school’s talent show for the first time, one of my classmates went up to me afterward and was like, ‘You know I was surprised when you walked on stage, you hardly ever talk. I thought you were gonna suck. But you actually didn’t!’…I’m not sure how you would respond to that honestly. I also wrote about what runs through my mind, and how if people knew what I was actually thinking, they’d be thankful that I kept to myself.”
