Lyn Lapid – In My Mind

LYN LAPID RELEASES VIDEO FOR FAN-FAVORITE SINGLE “IN MY MIND”

WATCH HERE

After amassing over 4 million song views and 1 million likes on TikTok before officially releasing the song, singer and songwriter Lyn Lapid drops the video for her latest single, “In My Mind”—watch HERE!

On making the video, Lyn says, “I knew from the start that I wanted the video to center around the many things that run through my mind, and so what better way than to focus on the concept of daydreaming? The entire video focuses on me working at a mundane office job, trying not to doze off while I get the paperwork done. Then suddenly you see me go on a rampage, chuck office supplies everywhere, and maybe swing a bat once or twice at my stingy mannequin boss. The catch is that whatever you see when I’m not typing my life away at my computer is all a daydream. It was exhilarating being able to destroy the office space in my little rampage moment, I think it was the first time someone ever told me to let loose and make a mess. I loved working with everyone on set, and one of the best parts was all of the snacks there. Eliot Lee is super talented, and he did a fantastic job bringing my initial vision for the video to life.”

Dedicated to the “‘quiet kids’ such as [herself]”, Lyn first teased “In My Mind” on TikTok a week before it was released, and the video quickly garnered over 3 million views in just a few days with her fans lovingly dubbing the song the “quiet kids song.” “In My Mind” has already amassed over 1 million streams in just a few weeks, and not to mention, it has been praised by ConsequenceSPINAtwood Magazine, and more, with HYPEBAE proclaiming, “Lapid’s soothing vocals seamlessly blend with the airy notes of the guitar,” and Ones To Watch praising her as “a fearless and irrefutable voice of Gen Z.”

Lyn says, “I wrote ‘In My Mind’ about my experience growing up as the ‘quiet kid.’ People would always tell me how I never talked at all and how quiet I was. Well, they weren’t wrong, I kept to myself all throughout school, even when I hung out with my friends. I remember when I sang for my school’s talent show for the first time, one of my classmates went up to me afterward and was like, ‘You know I was surprised when you walked on stage, you hardly ever talk. I thought you were gonna suck. But you actually didn’t!’…I’m not sure how you would respond to that honestly. I also wrote about what runs through my mind, and how if people knew what I was actually thinking, they’d be thankful that I kept to myself.”

“In My Mind” arrives during a breakout year for Lyn Lapid – she released her first three singles, “Producer Man,” “Itsy Bitsy,” and “Infinite,” received co-signs from Billie Eilish, BTS’ Jungkook, Sabrina Carpenter, and more amassed over 72 million global streams to date, and been praised by the likes of Rolling StoneBuzzfeedE! OnlineRefinery29HYPEBAEIdolator, and others. With more music on the way, Lyn has affirmed herself as a star on the rise for 2021.

Tokischa × Rosalia – Linda

Tokischa and Rosalia’s new hit single “Linda,” has been trending, with the music video becoming #1 in the world. Here’s what people are writing.

Mitu said, “Tokischa & Rosalía’s Worlds Collide in a flirty and fierce club banger. “A hard-hitting [but] vibrant and bouncy new single… dropped [with] a stylish music video filmed in the Dominican Republic” wrote Complex. “To no one’s surprise, it’s an absolute bop from start to finish that showcases the talent of both women while delivering something fresh and an equally noteworthy sound” raved Remezcla. Consequence stated, “The Spanish superstar and polarizing Dominican up-and-comer… deliver a snappy, sexy number…  and steamy music video…that’s as uncompromising as the musicians themselves.”

“Rosalía and Tokischa vindicate ‘uncomfortable’ feminism in their new song, Linda,”  El Mundo stated.

Many more publications have been speaking very highly of this dance banger. You can find the song HERE and watch the music video HERE

About Tokischa

Tokischa is a rising talent who deconstructs the perceptions and norms surrounding women’s roles. Her style is raw, authentic trap that few artists dare to pursue. In her world, there is no fear of showing society what she does, what she likes and who she is. She promotes a way of life that’s free from hypocrisy and gender stereotypes. Her vocal tone is instantly identifiable and is another major factor in making her songs distinctive.

About Rosalia

Rosalia is a Grammy & Eight-Time Latin Grammy Winner who has quickly “leapt to the forefront of the global pop landscape” on the strength of her innovative musical fusions and distinctive style.  She has repeatedly shattered barriers for both female and Spanish language artists, while being widely hailed as: “a complicated geniusreflecting femininity and strength… a new generation leader… making Flamenco a global phenomenon… while becoming Earth’s Most Exciting Pop Star.” With the May 2018 release of Rosalía’s innovative breakthrough single “Malamente (Cap.1: Augurio)”-and the fall arrival of her landmark album “El Mal Querer,” fans worldwide quickly embraced Rosalía’s phenomenal vocal capability meshed with her now fully realized fusion of classic Flamenco and other timeless music styles of Spain, with R&B, hip-hop, contemporary Latin-American rhythms and electronic beats. Coupled with Rosalía’s strong influences from industrial visual arts, female empowerment, fashion and choreography, it became clear to critics that: “El Mal Querer is a boundary-breaking modern masterpiece… that has resonated like a shockwave… it stands out from virtually everything else on the global pop landscape.” As a result of the album’s long-running impact, and additional 2019 singles that followed, Rosalia garnered a GRAMMY Award, standout GRAMMY performance, the historic first-ever Best New Artist Grammy nomination for a Spanish Language artist, and eight Latin Grammys, including Album of the Year. Additional acclaim has included two MTV VMA’s, multiple magazine covers-including the annual Sunday New York Times Magazine’s special Culture Cover, highly praised Coachella and Lollapalooza festival appearances, the most watched global YouTube video of 2019 for a female artist, and “Best Music of the Decade” picks from Rolling Stone, Billboard, GQ, The LA Times, Pitchfork and more. While Rosalía has spent a large majority of the last year immersed in the creative process of writing and recording her eagerly-awaited next album, she also finalized landmark brand partnerships with Nike and MAC’s “Viva Glam” campaign, lead the field of LATIN GRAMMY winners for the second year in a row, joined Travis Scott, Bad Bunny, the Weeknd and Billie Eilish all on massive streaming collaborative tracks, and became the first-ever all-Spanish language music artist to grace the cover of VOGUE in the United States, with the unveiling of the January 2021 “Vogue Values” issue, photographed by Annie Leibovitz. Now, Rolling Stone has already declared her upcoming next full-length release as “One of the Most Anticipated Albums of the Year.”

“Trousdale blends elements of Americana with sleek pop” – CMT

Fast-rising indie-folk trio Trousdale have released the music video for their latest single, “This Is It,” which urges listeners to stop, take a breath and recognize happiness in the moment. You can click HERE to watch the Nina Kramer directed and produced video, and you can click HERE to check out CMT’s premiere of the video, where Trousdale discusses the motivation behind an all-female crew for the shoot.

Their desire to empower young women and spread a universal message of love and self-acceptance can be found rooted in both the message and the video for “This Is It.”

Capturing the friendship behind Trousdale, the music video “shows our goofy, fun-loving side. It is somewhat of the antithesis of our last EP, Look Around. We’ve previously released songs that focus on heartbreak and loss. Alternatively, this song was born out of a genuinely fun night drinking and laughing at our favorite bar. With the song and video, we aim to highlight the importance of savoring the simple joys in life, because they so often go unnoticed.”

The infectious optimism and enthusiasm of “This Is It” has resonated with both media and fans. Spotify and Apple championed the single with adds to multiple key playlists including Fresh Finds County, Next Gen Singer-Songwriters, and Country Risers while indie mainstay Consequence featured the friendship anthem in their weekly New Sounds round up and The Honey Pop proclaimed “‘This Is It’ is magical and we had to stan.”

Blending unflinching vocals and raw, transparent storytelling that mirrors their real-world vitality, Trousdale has developed a devoted and engaged community on TikTok and other corners of the internet with “This Is It” mirroring the success of their previous releases. Their fanbase, along with supporters like the Jonas Brothers, Dan and Shay, John Mayer, Jensen McRae and Betty Who, have propelled the trio’s self-produced single “Wouldn’t Come Back” to over 2 million streams and their cover of “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys to over 1 million streams.

Trousdale has garnered comparisons to Kacey Musgraves, The Chicks and HAIM, and prompted A1234 to compare their passionate lyrics and evocative storytelling to icons like Taylor Swift and her latest critically acclaimed albums Folklore and Evermore. Additionally, their singles “Better Off” and “Happy Anymore” along with “Wouldn’t Come Back” from their debut EP Look Around led to The Radar Station naming them the #1 Emerging Global Roots Artist and the #7 Emerging Global Artist, while landing on some of Apple Music and Spotify’s top Americana, Folk, Singer-Songwriter and Mood playlists including Roots Rising, Women of Folk, and Infinite Indie Folk.

Preston Lovinggood – Moon Fever

Preston Lovinggood has released “Moon Fever.” CLICK HERE to listen. “Moon Fever is about wanting something that’s always out of reach,” Lovinggood told Glide Magazine, who premiered the new single, “The insatiable desire for one another, for walking into the sunset with the girl of your dreams and waking up and realizing, in fact, that’s all it was, a dream, a mirage in the distance.”

Preston says he drew upon the idea of “beach anxiety” while writing the song. “Wanting to take your shirt off and dive into the ocean. It’s about a fantasy and being afraid to take risks when you have feelings for someone.”

“Moon Fever joins “Everything Will Be Okay” as the second single released from Lovinggood’s forthcoming album Consequences, set for release May 17 via Last Gang Records. Digital pre-order is available now HERE.

“Moon Fever” is arguably the spiritual centerpiece of the album. Managing to conjure a unique soundscape of its own, like sun-kissed, modern pop that pulls off the neat trick of appearing straightforward when, upon further inspection, the music often trails off into subtle psychedelic curls, Lovinggood’s third full-length release, is his most concise, hook-laden album to date. At just under 40 minutes, Consequence, with its rich productions and scrupulous observations peppered through the lyrics begs for repeat listening. “Everything Will Be Okay,” “Taken in the Night,” “Divorce,” and the beautifully orchestrated title-track are breathtaking, sweet, hilarious hallucinatory, and devastating – often all at once.
