Rainbow Dreamland Tour

JUNO nominated, Canadian indie-pop band, VALLEY has announced their Fall 2021 North American tour in support of COIN. The 17-date tour run will begin on October 26 in Birmingham, AL, and go through November 21 in Houston, TX. The Rainbow Dreamland tour will be VALLEY’s return to the stage, bringing new music directly to their fans.

Most recently, VALLEY released their charmingly nostalgic single Like 1999 along with a video featuring TikTok star Boman. Fittingly, the track first gained momentum when the band posted a teaser of the song on their own TikTok. Since then, Like 1999 has garnered over 10 million global streams and become a form of escapism to fans waiting out the pandemic. Don’t miss your chance to see VALLEY live when shows return this Fall.

High-profile, high-octane – PAPER

A buoyant pop anthem full of emotion and fun, clever references, Like 1999 taps a sentimental vein Atwood Magazine

Taking the shape of a time capsule, the new track is an ode to the 1990s, shimmering with kaleidoscopic textures, sun-kissed melodies, and lush vocals that create an irresistible and dreamy sound. –  Gig Goer

Promising Young Woman Soundtrack Visual

Promising Young Woman Soundtrack

On December 4, Capitol Records will release the Promising Young Woman: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. The soundtrack is already generating a buzz, with Variety predicting Oscar nominations for Best Original Song for three of its tracks. This album’s release precedes the exciting release of the soundtrack’s film. Following the early December release of the soundtrack, Focus Features will release Promising Young Woman on Christmas Day.

Director Emerald Fennell brings a fascinating story of revenge to the screen with Promising Young Woman. Originally premiering to huge acclaim in Sundance earlier this year, Fennell’s film stars Carey Mulligan and Bo Burnham along with an ensemble cast that includes Laverne Cox, Alison Brie, Connie Britton, Jennifer Coolidge, Max Greenfield, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Chris Lowell, Sam Richardson, Molly Shannon, and Clancy Brown. Everyone said Cassie, played by Carey Mulligan, was a promising young woman until a mysterious event abruptly derailed her future. Now, an unexpected encounter is about to give Cassie a chance to right the wrongs of the past in this thrilling and wildly entertaining story.

Fennell also served as Executive Soundtrack Producer, teaming up with music supervisor Sue Jacobs and Capitol Records to create what The Daily Beast describes as “a pop music soundtrack that could only be described as glorious.” Promising Young Woman’s soundtrack continues to receive praise from well respected sources. Specifically, Vice reported that the film “expertly uses femme pop songs to underscore its critically acclaimed twisted tale of trauma and revenge.” In another review, IndieWire noted, “The film is filled with inspired soundtrack choices – a strings-heavy take on Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’ teases before it reveals itself at the perfect moment, and an amusing use of an ‘It’s Raining Men’ cover sells Fennell’s pitch-black sense of humor early on.” In general, the musical covers of popular pop songs offers one of the film’s greatest musical choices.

360 Magazine, Rilés

Rilés – New EP

Today, French Algerian rapper Rilès presents his anxiously awaited new LVL 36 EP with a sci-fi visualizer for “LET IT GO” featuring Tommy Genesis [Republic Records].

The four-track trip boasts his acclaimed new single “GOA.” Within a few weeks’ time, the lyric video has already generated over 1.2 million views. Not to mention, it garnered widespread tastemaker praise. Atwood Magazine called it, “an effervescent trap number fit for a million different house parties across the globe.” Meanwhile, Reignland proclaimed it, “an amazing new track” and Aipate highlighted its “engagingly bouncy trap beat perfect for the club environment.” As the track gains steam, Rilès also continues to grow his audience with streamers around the world.

For the uninitiated, he exhibits a curatorial prowess a la Travis Scott with effervescent and ethereal Don Toliver-style soul-spiked vocals. However, he also stands out by leaving a piece of himself on each and every track. The EP reflects a major turning point for Rilès. After years of exclusively producing, writing, and recording out of his bedroom, he moved to Los Angeles and worked with top producers to add a new dimension to this vision.

Kicking off this journey to LVL 36, glassy guitars glow on the entrancing opener “LET IT GO” as his inimitable voice echoes. Meanwhile, “KEEP IT SEXY” hinges on a hypnotic beat as it builds towards a swooning refrain punctuated by his unpredictable cadences.

Check out out the full tracklisting below.

Last year Rilès became a recognized force in French music with the release of his 2019 full- length debut, WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE, which put up huge numbers with the hit songs “MARIJUANA” (55M global streams) and “THANK GOD” (41M global streams). Before then Rilès caught the world’s attention in 2016 when he decided to pen, produce, perform, record, mix, master, and engineer one song per week for a year straight—all done in his childhood bedroom. These 52 tracks populated his YouTube channel as he completed this run in September 2017, tallying 300 million-plus views and 300 million streams.
