Brianna Cash × “Numb”

LYRIC VIDEO FOR DEBUT SINGLE “NUMB”. WATCH NOW!

“One of R&B’s newest voices clearly knows a thing or two about making an excellent first impression.” – E!

“Cash doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.” – THE FADER

North Philadelphia-bred singer/songwriter/guitarist Brianna Cash releases a lyric video for her debut single “Numb”. The “Numb” single and accompanying music video with Toronto rapper Tory Lanez officially released this past January. The video arrives on the heels of Cash’s stripped-down acoustic video for the song which released this past month, a spellbinding version of the song that showcases the raw heart and talent in Cash’s voice.

Check Out the Lyric Video for “Numb” by Brianna Cash.

Born Brianna Castro, Cash got her start playing in the school band and singing in the church choir. By the age of 15 she’d started writing her own songs, mining inspiration from artists like Stevie Wonder and Lauryn Hill (whose MTV Unplugged special prompted Cash to pick up the acoustic guitar). Soon after linking up with Pop Wansel (who later paved the way for her signing to Fish Grease/ Interscope), she lent her hypnotic vocals to tracks like Tory Lanez’s “Question Is” and landed on The FADER’s list of “5 Artists Ready To Be Philadelphia’s Next Champion.” Read more HERE

Cash brings an uncompromising honesty to each piece of music she creates. “People go back to their [favorite artist’s] first album for everything,” she says. “I want my first album to be like, ‘Oh shit, she came out the gate with some fire. A REAL classic.’ Gotta set the bar for myself to do better.”

“A distinct musical and personal growth. Changes is deeply confessional…”–

“He’s never sounded better than he does on “Changes,” his fifth studio album. This is not just a formidable soul man’s coming of age…it’s also the emergence of a brand-new Bieber.” –

“Justin Bieber grows up on Changes…a low-key set of gentle electro-R&B jams…long on clean-toned guitars and drowsy soul grooves… Very chill, and often very pretty.” –

“Changes introduces the most mature sound to date for the 25-year-old pop star… This time around, Justin has rhythm and blues down pat.”

I’m happy I managed to get some influences in there from my UK House and Garage upbringing too.” Paloma adds; “I feel so excited about ‘Mistakes.’ I am a huge fan of MNEK who co-wrote the song and of the dance power of Jonas. I can’t help but move to this tune. It’s a banger!”

HILL HAS AMASSED OVER ONE BILLION STREAMS AND CHARTED SEVEN TOP 40 HITS IN UK

Chart-topping U.K. artist Becky Hill will make her U.S. live debut with an intimate, acoustic performance at Mercury Lounge in New York City on Thursday, April 9. BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac has called her “one of the finest voices in pop music today.” With over a billion streams and 20 million Spotify monthly listeners, Hill is now the 2nd most listened to British female artist on Spotify in the U.K. Tickets for this special performance are available HERE.

“IM PLAYING MY FIRST AMERICAN SHOW!! NEW YORK!!” says Hill. “UR in for a treat at the Mercury Lounge as I’ll be playing an intimate, acoustic show on the 9th of April in my 2nd favourite city!”

Renowned for her show-stopping vocal prowess and credentials as a hitmaking songwriter, the 25-year-old artist is one of Britain’s most in-demand musical exports. Popjustice declared her “UK pop’s greatest secret weapon.” To date, Hill has written and performed on seven singles that charted in the top 40 of the UK Official Singles chart yet her roots are firmly ensconced in electronic music. Her songwriting skills have been enlisted by such artists as Tiësto, Jax Jones, Martin Solveig and Little Mix.

“Better Off Without You” is Hill’s first release since 2019’s Get To Know, which Billboard hailed as “electrifying…a must-hear.” A hugely personal body of work that explores the varying stages of love and loss, Get To Know simultaneously serves as an introduction to Hill and a veritable greatest hits collection. It contains the million-selling “Gecko (Overdrive)” with Oliver Heldens, which took the No. 1 spot on the UK Official Singles chart, the UK Top 10 singles “Wish You Well” with Sigala, which has amassed over 100 million streams, and “Afterglow” with Wilkinson, plus the club anthem “Back & Forth” with MK and Jonas Blue. The album also includes her collaborations with MNEK, WEISS and Matoma.

Of Monsters And Men Release “Alligator”

GRAMMY® Award-nominated multiplatinum Icelandic quintet OF MONSTERS AND MEN make their much-anticipated return today with the new single “Alligator.”

The band’s co-vocalist Nanna Bryndis Hilmarsdóttir has taken center stage on the song not only as the lead vocalist, but also wrote the track as well. The song was co-produced by OMAM and Rich Costey (MUSE, Vampire Weekend, Chvrches). This is the first release from the band since their sophomore album “Beneath The Skin” in 2015.”

On the empowering anthem and what is coming next for the band they noted, “We are so excited about Alligator, the first release from our upcoming album. The song very much speaks to the excitement and energy that we feel about being back. We can’t wait to share more music and see everyone again.”

Earlier this week the band teased fans with footage of the band in studio leading up to the release of “Alligator.” See the teaser footage on the band’s Instagram here: www.instagram.com/ofmonstersandmen

Look out for more news from Of Monsters and Men soon…

OF MONSTERS AND MEN went from the talk of Iceland to the top of the global conversation on their 2011 debut, My Head Is An Animal. Not only did the record go platinum, but it also produced an international smash in the form of “Little Talks.” The breakthrough single earned a quintuple-platinum certification from the RIAA, made history as “the first song by an Icelandic band to cross 1 billion streams on Spotify,” and landed the band a performance on Saturday Night Live. The group appeared on official soundtracks for franchises such as The Hunger Games, The Walking Dead, and Beat Bugs, to name a few. In addition to performing at festivals such as Coachella, Lollapalooza, Firefly, and beyond, they supported Florence + the Machine on a high-profile arena tour. In the midst of this rapid rise, 2015’s Beneath The Skin bowed in the Top 3 of the Billboard Top 200 and the band starred in an episode of HBO’s Game of Thrones in the same year.

“Valee is changing the sound of hip-hop in 2018, one unpredictable verse at a time.”RollingStone

Valee’s innovative style makes it impossible to predict what might come next.”Pitchfork

“Valee doesn’t sound like anything happening in Chicago hip-hop right now.” – Noisey

ABOUT VALEE:
In an era when aspiring public figures broadcast constantly in an effort to maximize their brand value, Valee’s coolly laconic stands apart. With short songs and a soft-spoken style, his unpredictable raps sketch subjects with a droll eye for detail over a bass-heavy canvas. This is trap music for the connoisseur, for fans of clever lyrics and effortless style. Valee grew up on Chicago’s South Side. When he received toys as a child, he would break them apart to figure out how they worked, a method he applies to his own process with music today:  “Sometimes I rap and cut and copy and paste and move parts around and it changes the whole song, for the better.” His music career began when, intent on buying a gaming system, he stopped at Guitar Center instead. “I just wanted to make beats better than what I hear on my mixtapes or on the radio, and I wanted to rap on it. I wasn’t thinking about anyone else at all.” His counterintuitive approach across five mixtapes and his G.O.O.D. Music debut EP, GOOD job, You Found Me, has captured the ears of artists and music aficionados alike, drawn to his unorthodox approach.
