AJ Mitchell × Skyview

Today, Gold-certified pop phenom AJ Mitchell is pleased to announce that his highly anticipated debut album, SKYVIEW, will be released on September 10, 2021, via Epic Records/Vol 1 Records.  Along with the announcement, AJ has shared the official artwork for the album.

SKYVIEW is executive produced by GRAMMY Award-winner Mike Dean (Kanye West, Jay Z, Drake, Travis Scott, The Weeknd) and will feature his Top 40 charting singles “Stop” and “Slow Dance” ft. Ava Max, as well as  Growing Pains,” “Cameras On” and the recently released “One More Fight.”

In addition to revealing the album release date, AJ also announces dates for his official SKYVIEW 2021 Tour this fall. The 21-date US tour will kick off on September 13, 2021, with a homecoming of sorts in St. Louis, MO, right outside his hometown of Bellville, IL where he used to see shows growing up.  The tour will also bring AJ to cities like Toronto, New York and Nashville before wrapping in Phoenix on October 17th. A special early bird on sale launches on Thursday, July 29 at 10 AM local time, while the tour will go on sale to the general public on Friday, July 30 at 10 AM local time. Tickets can be purchased at the Drive In Makeout website, while the full tour itinerary can be found below.

On the album, AJ Mitchell shares, “SKYVIEW is the final chapter of the first era of my artist journey. In 2016, I released my first single “Used To Be”, a song I had written at 13 years old.  That song set me into a year journey traveling the world; learning, writing, collaborating, performing and constantly evolving. In that time, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with so many talented artists, writers, producers, photographers, and directors around the world. Those collaborations and experiences have sculpted who I am today. I dove into this industry at 15 years old, only knowing two things: I wanted to write songs and sing them as my career. SKYVIEW is the summary of my artist journey up until now. As a kid, the Skyview Drive-In theater was a place in my small town of Belleville, Illinois that had the power to transport me into a world of endless possibilities. Today, SKYVIEW is proof that anything can happen if you are willing to take the risk and do the work necessary to make any dream come true.”

The song is the next chapter to be unveiled from his anxiously awaited full-length debut album, “Skyview,” due out this year and executive produced by Mike Dean

The track pairs a thumping bass line and flurry of funk guitar with a showstopping vocal performance. He delivers charismatic verses before igniting the instantly unshakable hook, “I don’t wanna stop, baby it’s our time.

“STOP” continues the journey that was set in CAMERAS ON,” released late last month. The conceptual lyric video shared today picks up where “CAMERAS ON” left off. While “CAMERAS ON depicts the story of AJ dealing with the darker sides of fame and his previous experiences with the content collective Team 10, the new lyric video finds him walking away from the cameras to the stage, depicting his passion and dedication to the music and what truly matters.  Stay tuned for the official music video, set to premiere soon.

The best way for everybody to understand me is through my songs. I’m still just a kid who lives his life through music. There’s not a single day I don’t think about it or don’t want to run to my guitar, my piano, or my notepad and start writing.”

Averaging over 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify, he impressively leaped past the 1-billion stream mark within three years. City Morgue New Video

New York, NY (May 20, 2020) – Following the release of CITY MORGUE VOL 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD DELUXE, Hikari-Ultra/Republic Records duo City Morgue releases today their new video “THE FALL BEFORE THE GIVE UP” feat. Clever.

Drifting like dark angels through a beautiful nightmare, City Morgue says their last goodbyes to the struggles plaguing their life. As SosMula lies awake in a casket confronting battles with PTSD and the need for therapy, ZillaKami growls through the chorus about being hopeless; effortlessly melding the worlds of rock and rap. At the end of the video directed by Karltin Bankz, Post Malone’s up and coming artist Clever injects his beautifully sung vocals that contrast with City Morgues gruff melodies.

“THE FALL BEFORE THE GIVE UP” feat. Clever is a highlight from the four new tracks added to the Deluxe album. Executive produced by the legendary Mike Dean, the original album CITY MORGUE VOL 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD had immense success with over 70 million streams becoming the #1 rock album upon release, debuting at number one on the Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart and in the top 20 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart.

Additionally, last week City Morgue launched the next installment of their cult-favorite merch collection with hoodies, t-shirts, and face masks available HERE. 100% of the proceeds from their face masks are being donated to MusiCares COVID-19 Relief Fund.

The melding of Rock and Rap is a concept that’s existed within the underbelly of music for decades, yet few have done what City Morgue is doing. When upstarts SosMula and ZillaKami come together, their fusion is seamless—oozing true skill with a reckless lack of fucks left to give. On the supergroup’s debut mixtape City Morgue Vol. 1: Hell or High Water, the dynamic duo delivered a new and exciting vibe for any fan of true music—from hip-hop to metal and continued this movement on their second album CITY MORGUE VOL 2: AS GOOD AS DEAD. Their music is an experience anyone can appreciate and shows what happens when two worlds meet to form an entirely new planet. The Hikari-Ultra/Republic Records signees have already shown a significant track record of hits in a relatively short amount of time, and it won’t stop there. The duo also dominates the merch scene, with countless sold out exclusive collections. The duo teamed up with famed illustrator Mark Riddick and creative director Joe Perez for merch that sold out in 24 hours. Additionally, they partnered with Bravado for merch that sold out in three days and also collaborated with A$AP Bari’s VLONE to create t-shirts, sweatshirts, bandanas and more that sold out in 72 hours.

Harry Hudson Drops Video For “Just Slide”

Harry Hudson unveiled the video for his latest single “Just Slide” feat. Jaden Smith —watch and share HERE. “Just Slide” was produced by notable producers Mike Dean [Kanye West, JAY-Z, Travis Scott, 2Pac], Jess Jackson [Tyga, Jason Derulo, Chris Brown] and John Ho [Danity Kane, Kimbra]. The video was filmed in Biloxi, MS, Toronto, ON, Salt Lake City, UT and Calabasas, CA while Harry was on his headlining Can Cowboys Cry Tour last fall.

Of the video, Harry says, “It’s a continuation of the Can Cowboys Cry saga with an unexpected and surreal twist. The story will continue in the next chapter of the journey and my next project.”

“Just Slide” sets the stage for new music from Harry Hudson in 2019.

25-year-old “Folk Pop” artist Harry Hudson was born in New Jersey but moved to the west coast at a young age. The singer released his first song, “World Is Gone,” online in 2013. However, during June of that year, Hudson was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and set his career aside to undergo treatment. After eight months of chemotherapy, he overcame the illness in January 2014. Hudson spent the subsequent year rediscovering his inspirations and got to work writing his debut release. Last year, Hudson released Yesterday’s Tomorrow Night, which features his breakout singles, “Yellow Lights” and “Cry For Love,” and blends Hudson’s signature pop Americana sound with folk and rock influences. In support of Yesterday’s Tomorrow Night, Hudson debuted his 16 minute short film, Can Cowboys Cry, featuring his friend and fellow MSFTS member Jaden Smith, as well as his songs “Yellow Lights,” “Cry For Love,” “Gone” and “No Good.” Last fall, Harry embarked on his first ever headlining tour, selling out shows across North America.
