About Shenandoah:

GRAMMY®, CMA and ACM-winning hitmakers Shenandoah, fueled by Marty Raybon’s distinctive vocals and the band’s skilled musicianship, are celebrated for delivering such hits as “Two Dozen Roses”, “Church on Cumberland Road” and “Next to You, Next to Me” as well as such achingly beautiful classics as “I Want to be Loved Like That” and the GRAMMY® winning “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart” duet with Alison Krauss. Today that legacy continues as original members Marty Raybon and Mike McGuire launch a new chapter in Shenandoah’s storied career with their new record Every Road. Raybon and McGuire formed Shenandoah in 1984 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama with bassist Ralph Ezell, keyboardist Stan Thorn and guitarist Jim Seales. Shenandoah inked a deal with Columbia Records and began establishing a national fan base with their self-titled debut in 1987. However, it was the band’s sophomore effort, The Road Not Taken, that spawned their first top ten hits—“She Doesn’t Cry Anymore” and “Mama Knows.” Shenandoah followed with three consecutive No. 1 hits—“Church on Cumberland Road,” “Sunday in the South” and “Two Dozen Roses.” “The Church on Cumberland Road” spent two weeks at the top of the chart and made country music history as it marked the first time that a country band’s first No. 1 single spent more than one week at the summit. It also helped propel sales of the album to more than half a million units thus giving Shenandoah their first gold album. Shenandoah became known for delivering songs that celebrated the importance of faith and family while reveling in the joys of small town life. “Next to You, Next to Me” topped the charts for three weeks and “Somewhere in the Vicinity of the Heart,” a beautiful duet with Alison Krauss, won a Country Music Association Award for Vocal Event of the year and a GRAMMY® for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. Shenandoah also won the Academy of Country Music’s Vocal Group of the Year in 1991.

Command Sisters – Feel Good

Command Sisters released a brand new single titled “Feel Good” through 21 Entertainment/Universal Music Canada/Republic Records.

You can hear the song by clicking right here.

Command Sisters comprises of sisters Charlotte and Sarah Command, who are looking to turn popular culture red. The two built a distinct sound and style that set them apart from everyone else when they were just children.

Sarah Command was inspired by guitar players like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Orianthi while Charlotte Command pulled from Sia and The Weeknd. Combining the styles of the two gave the duo a sharp sound that combines pop vocals with edgy instruments.

They don’t just pull audiences in with their music. They’ve carefully cultivated a look that matches their music, using high fashion to attract attention.

To this point in their careers, they’ve played all over the United States and Canada, and they’ve partnered with the likes of Martin Guitars, PRS Guitars, Marshall Amps, MAC Cosmetics and Boss/Roland.

They’ve also mastered social media posting high quality content daily.

The release of “Feel Good” comes right off the release of “Lonely Lullaby” and the debut singles from Command Sisters titled “I Can Do What I Want To” and “I Like It,” which released in the summer.

They recorded all of the tracks in Los Angeles with award-winning producer Tim Pagnotta, who has worked with bands like WALK THE MOON, Weezer, Blink-182 and Neon Trees. They’ve set themselves up perfectly for the release of their debut EP, which will drop early in 2021.

When talking about “Feel Good,” Command Sisters said we need something to make us all, well, feel good.

“This song means shamelessly going after what you want and not apologizing for that! Doing the things that make YOU feel good, regardless of what people say. It’s all about self love,” they said.

5 Benefits of Having Live Entertainment

When it comes to planning parties and events, some people have an aversion to hiring live entertainment. Many people believe live entertainment to be too costly or too much of a headache to plan out. While these are certainly valid complaints on the planning side of live music, there still are a lot of positives associated with having live music at your event. So how can live music improve your event, and is it worth the extra effort it adds to planning your event? Here are five benefits of having live entertainment.

Generate Hype

One of the best benefits of having live entertainment at your party or event is the hype it generates around it. Many people will be excited to see live entertainment, so much so that you’ll likely have extra people at your event that otherwise would not have gone. In addition, those that were already planning on attending now have something to look forward to and get excited about. Having more excited people at your event is great, as it means that the energy will be fantastic, thus making the event even better.

Provide Entertainment

The most obvious benefit of having live entertainment at your event is simply the fact that it provides your guests with some high-quality entertainment. People go to parties and events in order to be entertained, and they want something that will be able to keep them occupied while they’re there. While simply playing music may satisfy some cravings for entertainment, it has nowhere near the same effect that a live performance has. If you’re looking to provide some high-quality entertainment for your guests, then hiring a live performer is the perfect opportunity.

Create a Focal Point

Another great thing that having live entertainment at your party or event does is it creates a focal point for people to gather around. When having an event or party, it’s totally normal for people to peel off and go to different corners of the venue. However, when you have live entertainment people gather around the performer to see what’s happening, creating a focal point in the center of your event. It’s very hard to get people to congregate in one particular area during a party or event, thankfully live entertainment can do just that.

Add to the Theme

An underrated aspect of having live entertainment at your party is its ability to add to the overall theme of the event. If you’re planning something that has a strong theme, live entertainment can make that theme much more believable and immersive. For example, if you were having a St. Patrick’s Day party, looking for Irish dancers to hire or bringing on an Irish band could make your party or event much more on theme. Theme parties are only fun if you can properly pull the theme off, and live entertainment can go a long way in doing that.

Make it Memorable

Many people leave parties and forget nearly everything about them. If nothing memorable or special happens at a party or event, then chances are no one will remember it in the future. Thankfully, live entertainment can be a huge help in this regard, providing your guests with something that they can easily remember. Normal parties can be easily forgotten, but if you have a well-known entertainer performing at your event, then guests likely won’t be forgetting it any time soon.

FindMyFans

FindMyFans wants to solve the problem of revenue generation for artists and bands by utilizing data already being generated from their social media and streaming profiles. This data, when combined and visualized in the app, will give users an accurate reflection of their fan activity and listener locations. This will empower them to plan better touring routes and create targeted marketing plans to maximize their profits.

The app’s goal is to be a resource for everyone in the music industry from professionals to DIY artists. According to founder & CEO, Ravi Ramkeesoon, “Location intelligence is the most effective of the metrics from social and streaming from an artist and bands as it serves as markers for where they already have traction.  Many times, these markets are unknown or are overlooked butcan represent additional revenue opportunities.  They’re an artist’s pot of gold. FindMyFans will be able to identify these new opportunities.”The goal of the campaign is to raise $170,000USD to finalize the app’s development, test, and launch in the App Store and Google Play.

Key Features Include:

* Top Countries Played

* Top 50 Global Streaming Songs

* Social & Streaming Trends

* Top Songs by Genre

The timing for this type of app is perfect as streaming has continued to grow and social media is widely and regularly used all over the world. According to Nielsen’s 2018 Year-End Music Report, American music streaming volume continued to rise, with the total number of on-demand audio song streams reaching 611 billion in 2018, a sizable 49% increase over the same time period in 2017. Overall on-demand music streaming volume, including video, surpassed 900 billion streams, an increase of 43% over the same period last year. Additionally, 90% of millennials globally are active on social media (Emarketer, 2019). This means the data that artists and bands generate from their social and streaming accounts generate valuable and growing information into their brand awareness.

Understanding where these listeners are coming from is vital to their long-term success. Momentum has been growing for FindMyFans as they are in the Project Music Portfolio Portfolioa program at Project Music in Nashville, TN.Additionally, they have entered into a strategic partnership with a leading US equipment instrument retailer Guitar Center. “A strategic partnership between FindMyFans and the Artist Relations Division of Guitar Center makes sense because of our shared vision. Guitar Center has been the leading source for music creators, empowering them with instruments. FindMyFans vision is to empower music creators with reliable data that will enable them to find their fan bases and ultimately, expand their brand presence and lead to more revenue opportunities.” Said, Judd Goldrich, Artist Relations Manager, East Coast, Guitar Center. The campaign launches on August 8th and runs until September 14th. Prospective donors can visit the Indiegogo page here.

Younk

A little over a month ago the world witnessed an unprecedented event – the Open Beta launch of the first community-based music label – Younk.com. The new platform connects artists, community, and music experts and aims to make the music industry more accessible and equitable for both artists and music enthusiasts. Younk, a decentralized community music platform using blockchain technology, is open to everyone, everywhere.

Younk’s mission is to establish the first community music label where artists gain recognition and support directly from the community in exchange for bonuses.

According to its founder, Andrey Dahkovskyy, Younk’s foremost goal is to modernize the music industry by facilitating direct artist access to the public. This ensures better compensation and community involvement in the funding of up-and-coming artists. Music fans also benefit through a unique opportunity to support their favorite artists and become co-producers of the artist’s tracks and earn YNK Bucks – internal currency of Younk ecosystem. YNK is an instrument that may be used to fund a Hit, get bonuses and purchase merchandise, services and goods on the Younk platform.

Don Grierson, the legendary music industry executive and Younk co-founder shared the platform’s vision as an accessible global marketplace where artists and HitHunting music enthusiasts can connect and support each other while mutually benefiting from the synergy and compounded contribution of the community – whether from a creative point or business wise. “We are entering a new era of making a Hit,” said Mr. Grierson, “the Younk platform is here to make it happen. In almost no time you will be able to listen to a tune that has been supported and directly funded by a community – by active listeners and those who want to make a change in the music industry. Our platform is open to Artists from all over the world, even if they’re not professional musicians. Everyone has a chance now to upload his or her original tune onto the platform and compete with other artists for community support and, further down the road, for their own place on some of the top music charts in the world.”

Unlike regular crowdfunding, which is called Hit Funding in Younk terminology, the new platform gives artists an opportunity to receive first-hand guidance from the professional music experts. It also provides the music fan community the option to be actively involved in creating music charts, to vote, and become co-producers of the the tracks they fund which may become Hits later. All of this helps us all make better music together.

The platform is designed to be user friendly. The process looks like this: an artist uploads a track; the community listens and votes, three tracks go to Hit Funding (two most voted on by the community and one selected by the experts) where YNK Bucks are used to support the community’s favorite tracks. The ones that reach a certain amount of YNK Bucks – soft cap – are then professionally produced by music industry experts. Once the final creative product is

released it gets promoted on approximately 150 digital music platforms. When a track generates revenue, artists receive royalty share in real money equivalent and the track supporters in YNK Bucks equivalent.

By employing innovative technology, Younk provides advanced features and allows for the transparent and decentralized distribution of royalty shares to artists through blockchain’s smart contracts.

“So far, Younk has 5 tracks in the production stage,” said Andrey Dakhovskyy, “ Every day we receive positive feedback from people in the music industry and beyond. This means we’re on the right track. Our platform opens up endless opportunities for both artists and fans – they can create better music together and this is awesome! Welcome to the universe of Younk!”

NYC-Based Band “All Types of Kinds”

Mixing A Unique Blend of Influences From Rock to Blues, Folk, and Hip-Hop – The Bands Unique Multi-Genre Approach Lends A New Perspective to Alternative Music

In a city often oversaturated with musicians of every genre constantly performing and creating, it takes a special group of artists to truly stand out amongst the crowd that produce a truly unique sound, and New York City’s All Types of Kinds truly live up to the namesake.

All Types of Kinds (or ATOK) plays a wide variety of music ranging from rock to pop, folk, punk, funk, hip-hop, blues, jazz, and country – even sometimes all at once. The members come from diverse backgrounds that make for an amalgamation of musical textures and vibes. Their EP, “Love Songs (Or Songs For Your Ex)” debuted on Valentine’s Day 2018 and they are currently gearing for dates all over the country.

The band consist of Ray Rubio (Guitar), Billy Conahan (Guitar), Berk 0 (Percussion), and Rocco Stroker (Guitar) – all of whom have unique musical backgrounds. Ray, 20, a multi genre artist and singer/songwriter, hails from Harlem NY and has also been on stage from young age, mainly theater productions. Ray attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 2014, and since then has been performing his music in the New York Metro Area and Richmond, Virginia. Billy, 25, is a queens native whose been on the stage since his early teens as a stand-up comedian, singer/songwriter folk artist playing his own folk tunes as well as cover tunes. Berk O, singer and percussionist, is from Brooklyn and also contributes to the band’s songwriting process, while Rocco is the newest member of the band – playing bass, guitar and as an incredible vocalist. He hails from New Fairfield, Connecticut.

WATCH: All Types of Kinds – Colorblind (Official Music Video)

With the goal of becoming a full-time, self-sufficient, self-produced band, able to tour and create their own audio and video products on a regular basis, they plan to soon follow up their debut with a sophomore effort in late 2018. Unlike other bands who strive for major-label greatness, ATOK shys away from fitting into an industry mold, and often scoff at the idea of being referred to as a ‘boy band’.

Believers in finding a way to share their music while remaining firmly in the driver’s seat, they continue to write, practice, and enjoy playing their music for any crowd that will have them. Making friends from all over the world by busking on the NYC streets has even allowed them to meet and collaborate with like-minded musicians.

These recent “Your Big Break” contest winners who’ve been praised for their “polished precision, sweet harmony, musicianship, artistry, versatility and originality in their smart lyrics” are ready for the big time. That time is now.

Kailee Morgue US Tour With Poppy

Today Kailee Morgue announces she will be heading on a U.S. fall tour with Poppy for her Am I A Girl? Tour. Artist pre-sale tickets go on sale Wednesday, July 11th at 10am local timeand general on-sale begins Friday, July 13th at 10am local time at www.kaileemorgue.com.

Having just sold out her debut headline shows in New York and Los Angeles, Morgue jumps to theaters by joining Poppy’s fall twenty-date run through North America, including top cities Los Angeles (The Wiltern on October 31st), New York (Irving Plaza on November 20th) and Washington D.C. (9:30 Club on November 24th).

Recently Morgue released “Do You Feel This Way (Feat. Whethan). Check out the track here!

Of the song, Morgue says, “This is one of my favorite songs I’ve made because it is off axis just enough to blur my perspective between haunting and inviting. Teaming up with Whethan brought the perfect blend of hazy lethargy and upbeat skepticism to the track. It captures the unease of that feeling of not knowing how someone truly feels about you, and it still always makes me want to move when I hear it—it’s so fun to perform.”

“Do You Feel This Way” (feat. Whethan) follows Morgue’s single “F**k U”and her 2017 breakout track, “Medusa,” which catapulted her into an overnight success after she posted a live performance of the song on Twitter. “Medusa” became the title track from her debut EP, which was also released last fall and features her hit single, “Discovery.”

Tattooed, multi-color haired and anime-obsessed 19-year-old Phoenix-based gothic pop siren, Kailee Morgue, casts a sonic spell with her music. A self-described “introvert” and the second oldest of six kids, she found solace in the sounds of fellow sonic sorceresses, such as Stevie Nicks and Gwen Stefani, as well as bands like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and more. By the age of ten, she picked up her first guitar, began quietly penning music and eventually started posting tracks on Soundcloud.

Between a gig at Jack In The Box in 2016, an 18-year-old Morgue found the beat for her breakout track, “Medusa,” on YouTube and cooked up the single. She first teased the track with a brief Twitter video, and it ignited a viral reaction garnering 100,000 “likes” overnight. Over an airy, minimalistic soundscape, Morgue creates a hypnotic and heartfelt melody with haunting and powerful lyrics. “Medusa” peaked at #1 on Hype Machine, was hailed as “Best Track of the Week” by The New York Times, MTV, The Line of Best Fit and Coup de Main and its video premiered on The FADER. As “Medusa” became an underground phenomenon, Morgue inked a deal with Republic Records in the summer of 2017. Further music is set for release this summer.
