”Every now and then an automobile manufacturer shocks us with a treasure. Something that snatches the air right out of our lungs. This time around Cadillac breathes life into its newest family member and all she does is turn heads and causes jaws to drop.” -Vaughn Lowery
If you’re in the market for a new vehicle, maybe you should consider the 2019 Cadillac XT4 Crossover for one of your very own urban excursions. We decided to venture downtown LA to Chinatown in our test model. Just like this vehicle, there’s an unprecedented reaction to Howlin’ Rays (Tennessee style hot chicken) as it’s one of the first establishments of its kind within the metropolitan area.
Launched in 2018, it’s their smallest crossover and a hopeful competitor in its segment. It sustains its own against the Volvo XC40, Audi Q3, and Mercedes-Benz GLA.
Design: The aim of this model is v-shape inspired by crisp lines, sweeping arcs, and high-end appointments. Factory tinted windows allow for added privacy and UV protection against the harsh LA sun rays. But you also get a 360 view under the car, insignia displayed on the front, and a backup camera to view more of what’s behind you. Above you, is a dual panel retractable Sunroof/Moonroof, which allows more light to come in, making the vehicle feel roomier. Compared to its predecessor, the 2018 XT4, this new variation has more room for you and four other people.
Technology: Loaded with a vast amount of features which are comparable with many luxury manufacturers: Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Satellite radio, WiFi hotspot, Bluetooth capability, rotary dials, and 8″ infotainment touchscreen. The 8-way driver and 6-way passenger seat controls made perfect sense after we shoved our faces and felt our sides begin to split. After all, who needs pants when you have an XT4?! Thanks to their elegant Bose audio system, with 13 speakers and tweeters, we were able to bounce some of the calories off from those extremely spicy french fries from Howlin’ Rays that brought us to tears. My dear Lord!
Performance: Just as significant as the aesthetic and feel of the car is its agility. Its 2.0L 4-cylinder engines are peppy, to say the least, cranking 237hp with 258 pound-ft of torque. Clocking in at an EPA-estimated 29 mpg on highways, this model is a front wheel drive with an all-wheel-drive option. This is also an advantage over the previous year’s XT4 model which weighed 15lbs more. Moreover, on that point are also selectable driving modes with paddle shifters. This new model possesses 4-wheel independent suspension easily, offering a high-quality smooth ride which grips most terrains with ease. On an urban excursion to Chinatown in downtown Los Angeles, we accidentally climbed up onto the sidewalk rushing to pick up our mouthwatering Howlin Rays Nashville style chicken. We weren’t only stunned by the 2 hr wait in a block-long line, but the fact that we were perched off road. This vehicle may just be Pismo Beach worthy.
Safety: Now, of course, the honorable people at Cadillac care about your safety. Thus, this model comes well-equipped with airbags: front, knee, and seat side impact for the driver and their co-pilot (the front seat passenger). You also incur a head curtain for all outboard seating positions. In addition, this car has multiple alerts. Whether it’s for lane changing, the side blind zone, or rear cross traffic. This comes in handy to avoid dings and scratches to its beautiful 18″ 10-spoke alloy wheels. Overall, the braking was decent, but not as sharp as other competing models at this price point.
Other specs: Fuel tank capacity for the 2019 XT4 sits at 15.9 gals. This car’s carbon emission is at 6.8 gals per year at 15,000 miles per year. It too has an air filtration system in the cabin and a powered universal tablet holder.
In short, the 2019 Cadillac XT4 AWD Sport is a match made in heaven for an emerging influencer, a youthful mid-level executive and/or an adventurous individual on the prowl for some of the best eats in a major metropolis area. Of course with a few friends in tow. The model we tested was $55,735 and it was worth every cent.
Starting at the base price of $62,995, the Dodge Durango SRT 392 reinvents the idea of what an SUV is capable of. Recently, 360 MAGAZINE took the Durango from LA to Vegas, toting Diesel, a 200 lb English Mastiff with room to spare. This three row truck not only provides enough space for a family of up to seven, but entertainment options to keep kids busy as well. Among the numerous technology options provided in the SRT is an 8-speed automatic transmission and the ability to tow up to 8,700 lbs.
This remote start system is fit with large mirrors and optional blind-spot warning to provide exceptional visibility. While maintaining the heavy feel of a truck, the Durango provides a composed and planted drive, free of any harsh motions or jiggling. It can reach a higher volume at full throttle, but when cruising noise remains at a peaceful minimum due to its active noise canceling system. This allows the Durango to provide a perfect setting for a family road trip. Under its vented hood lies a 475 hp worth of Hemi V-8 driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic, permitting the Durango to go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds and braking from 60 mph in 125 ft. The Brembo six piston high-performance brakes feel moderate to soft with long-travel strokes. It is precise and weighted, able to perform quick U-turns and maintains a comfortable slack at freeway speeds. The Durango has 7 SRT drive modes which include street, sport, track, snow, tow, valet, and eco. It’s 4-wheel drive, traction control and low-range gearing provide real off-road capabilities as well. With an annual fuel cost of $3,000, the Durango uses 6.7 gallons per 100 miles.
In this newest model appearances can be deceiving, similar to a Transformer in its versatility and markings and easily passing as Bumblebee’s cherry colored cousin. While the Durango is a perfect family car, it maintains a sporty and bold exterior. The model is equipped with 20-inch x 10-inch black noise wheels and 295/45ZR20 BSW all season tires. The clean lines and seamless stitching of the Durango are refined and reminiscent of European auto offerings. The style of this SUV is edgy, racy and customizable as well.
Inside are three rows of leather-trimmed bucket seats with suede inserts. The driver’s seat is supportive and adjustable. The Durango is one of the most spacious three-row SUVs, ideal for children, as well as adults, to fit comfortably in all of the cabin’s seating positions. Second row seats flip and fold in order to gain access to third row seats, which provide a surprising amount of space; optimal for families spending ample amounts of time in the car.Front and second row seats are also equipped with heating and ventilation options.
As for safety, this vehicle offers; Blind-Spot Monitoring, illuminating a light on either of the Durango’s side mirrors; Forward Collision Warning, which helps prevent collisions by sounding an alert when the Durango detects an imminent collision; and Lane Departure Warning Plus, which sounds a warning if the Durango begins to drift from its lane without a turn signal being activated. The Durango received great results when tested for side impact, roof strength, and rear crash protection / head restraint.
Among the amenities of this vehicle are Uconnect 4C NAV with 8.4-inch display, SiriusXM traffic plus, a 4G LTE Wi-fi Hot Spot, and 9 Alpine amplified speakers with subwoofer. The media hub also comes with Apple Carplay and Google Android Auto capabilities.
A current tech option available for the Durango is an 825-watt Harman/Kardon sound system boasting 19 speakers. The sound system provides a listening experience similar to sitting front row at a concert with your favorite artists singing right into your ear.
Additional options include; rear DVD entertainment center with blu-ray compatible dual screen video and rear seat video system, a power sunroof, a second-row console with armrest and storage including 1 USB charging port, 12-volt auxiliary power outlet, third-row full-console floor mat and illuminated rear cup holders, and a hand-wrapped dashboard and live stitch with real carbon fiber interior accents.
The Durango SRT 392 is a highly successful crossover SUV combining high end speed and design with durability, space and safety for the family. It gives off a muscle-car attitude wrapped in a family-friendly package, causing the model to embody two cars in one. The Durango combines the best of both worlds for parents who want to ride in style and make sure their children are happy and comfortable. With it’s roaring Hemi V-8 and dual-purpose nature, the Durango can do no wrong. The Durango remains one of the most capable and well-rounded three-row crossovers you can buy, making it possible to please every member of the family.
Lexus Designs First-Ever UX for the Modern Urban Explorer
National marketing campaign titled “The New Frontier” debuts dynamic, city-centric crossover
Today Lexus unveils a new marketing campaign to launch the first-ever 2019 UX, a luxury compact crossover. Originally released as a concept in 2016, the UX was deliberately designed and engineered for the city and the “modern urban explorer” — those seeking a fresh, contemporary and dynamic take on luxury driving; buyers with an imaginative lifestyle who explore, experiment and defy.
The campaign embodies the notion that cities are the new frontier of American culture — a canvas for experimentation and creativity in all corners, from new ideas in fashion, food and architecture to artistic expression. It’s a place where pioneering people and ideas create the inventive and visionary; where exploration of the city is an exploration of oneself.
“The spots highlight how our new crossover reflects the city from every angle and is made to conquer today’s frontiers,” said Cooper Ericksen, Lexus vice president of marketing. “Combining cutting-edge craftsmanship, seamless connectivity and bold design, the UX is the perfect intersection of form and function.”
“Plant a Flag,” the hero TV spot, begins airing nationally today. The commercial features a modern city, a territory where progress, innovation and adventure await those who are brave enough to explore. Opening with a bold, orange crossover driving through a dark, mysterious metropolis, the camera changes perspectives and viewers realize the UX isn’t driving horizontally on the road. It’s driving vertically up the side of a skyscraper — revealing that the city around us is the new frontier, and the UX is the crossover crafted to conquer it. A second, complimentary TV spot, “A Different Frontier,” shows how the UX wasn’t just made for the city — it was made from the city. As the UX makes its way through city streets, the spot highlights how the architecture of urban environments uniquely shaped and inspired the design, technology and engineering of Lexus’ newest luxury utility vehicle.
Multicultural spots were also created for Black, Hispanic and LGBTQ audiences, all directed by renowned film and music video director Joseph Kahn. “The New Renaissance” will air on TV One and BET, with targeted Prime programming. “Mission: Possible” will run across top national Hispanic networks such as Univision, CNN en Español, Telemundo, Univision Deportes and Discovery en Español. The LGBTQ digital video, “One of a Kind,” will have presence on sites like OUT, Advocate, Passport, Revry, Gay Ad Network and Edge Media. Traditional and non-traditional media formats such as in-language digital, social, paid search and Connected TV will target Chinese, Korean and Asian Indian audiences, showcasing adaptations and translations of the general market creative.
The general market TV spots will air during prime time, cable, late night and sports programming, and during cultural milestones such as The Academy Awards and NFL Playoffs. Full-page color print ads will run in top-tier lifestyle, travel, wellness and auto publications, such as GQ, Food & Wine, AFAR, Real Simple, Car and Driver, and more. The UX will have strong digital presence through online videos and banners across all major social media platforms and popular sites like VICE, Bustle and Vox Media. Lexus will target on-the-go consumers with sponsored audio content on Spotify playlists and integrations within key NPR podcasts. Out-of-home placements will reach audiences in unexpected spaces such as movie theatres, airports, elevators and fitness centers in key markets.
To extend the reach of the campaign, Lexus is partnering with key media entities to produce custom content focused around the first-ever UX. Through a collaboration with Givewith and Beautify Earth, three local artists will help revamp an urban community with the development of engaging art murals around Los Angeles this January. Over the next six weeks, Bustle will release video content featuring seven women pioneers transforming their industries and cities — including Lexus UX Chief Engineer Chika Kako. A partnership with Vox Media’s “Explainer” series this January will examine the ever-changing nature of city streets through product-focused videos. Lexus and VICE will produce a documentary photo series, featuring people that have taken ideas originally conceived for the great outdoors and adapted them to work in the urban landscape, inherently drawing a connection to the UX. Additional content partnerships with National Geographic and Discovery Network will launch later this month.
The UX is on sale in dealerships now. Consumers have a choice between the UX 200 and hybrid UX 250h with all-wheel drive, both available in F SPORT. For more information on the first-ever UX, click here.

Phony Ppl recently unleased their new album mō’zā-ik (300 Entertainment), the follow-up to 2015 Yesterday’s Tomorrow. Blending soul, funk, R&B and more, each song on the 11-track set plays as an extended jam between five musicians playing at their peak and garnered attention from the likes of NPR, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and NYLON, who called the album “ethereal as hell.”
Recently, the Brooklyn-based quintet release the dizzying visuals for their song, “Way Too Far.” Directed by Joe Well who has directed videos for Kendrick Lamar,YG, Puff Daddy, and The Internet, the production company who produced the video–Pyscho Films–recently produced the video for Jay Rock ft. Kendrick Lamar– “Wow Freestyle” as well as Aminé–“Reel It In.” The video follows the band and gives us a window into their world, and features cameos by Briana Shanee Wilson (Influencer/Entrepreneur/Creator of Matte Brand) and Patrick Paige II of The Internet.
The new record was met with rave reviews, with the band making Rolling Stone’s 2018 Hot List, with David Fricke noting how they are “ready for the world with mō’zā-ik. NPR Music premiered the album via First Listen, calling it a “stepping stone for the Brooklyn Band as a subconcious vacation for the listener while moving through the world…or maybe even a retreat from it.” The collection was also featured on NPR’s ‘New Music Friday– 8 Albums You Should Hear Now.’ Pitchfork added mō’zā-ik to their ‘5 Best New Rap Songs’ list, raging about how “the group mashes so well” and “every element of their sound complements the other.” The band also appeared on MTV’s TRL, were interviewed on Sway In The Morning, are currently the face of Spotify’s Newness Playlist, and were featured as Artist of the Week by both TIDAL and Soundcloud.
The band are currently supporting Pusha T on the second leg of his Daytona Tour wrapping up with two shows in their home town at Irving Plaza in New York, and will also be playing a headlining show at Mercury Lounge December 28, with tickets on sale Nov. 20th. See below for full tour routing.
360 Magazine was recently invited to test-drive the redesigned 2018 Buick Enclave Avenir FWD 1 SP in Carmel, California. The model type avenir derives from a concept car introduced in 2017. Avenir translates to “future” in French and the modern aesthetics do not disappoint. Buick has since mirrored those design elements on multiple vehicles.
Walking up to the luxury three row crossover, drivers can start their engine with a new remote start key. The Enclave introduces sharper lines and athletic curves. The headlights and taillights are slimmer to create a skinnier look when in fact the vehicle is larger. Speaking of size, family trips just became easier with a spacey seven seater inside and roomy trunk. Buick reaped the benefits of high strength steel shaving roughly 400 pounds off the previous model.
This lifestyle voyager sets the stage featuring a bespoke-like interior with a two tone color pattern making the Enclave an executive family car perfect for a trip or a late-night urban outing. Avenir has not only set the bar with design but also in technology as a revolutionary rear view mirror transforms into a screen bleeding to the edges of the mirror for a second back-up camera that faces an eye level view. This camera travels faster than five mph to give a real-time view of moving surroundings. Apple CarPlay is also a new feature for iPhone users to drive safely. Located under the tail, drivers can kick a foot activated swivel to open the trunk. Finding the hands free lever becomes easier with a ghost lit Buick emblem highlighting the lever area.
Reduce carbon footprint through carpooling while the crossover adjusts fuel efficiency at 18 miles per gallon on city roads, 26 miles per gallon on the highway and 21 miles per gallon with mixed driving.
The team alongside Buick explored Carmel-by-the-sea and the fairytale land the city has to offer. The team joined Carmel Valley Ranch to see the daily life of a professional beekeeper. 360 handled the bees, watched honey come to life and even found the queen bee do her thing. While driving around the beach-city on California’s Monterey Peninsula, Buick stopped at the harbor for a kayaking expedition. In-between adventures, the team had a chance to get acquainted with the smooth feel and driving style of the vehicle.
The Enclave packs a 3.6L V6 with 310 HP and also includes stop/start technology. Peak horsepower comes in at 6,800 RPM thanks to a nine speed automatic transmission. As one of the top luxury models, quiet cabins are enforced with QuietTuning. The weight saving translates to nimble handling and ride is soft while the body leans in the corners. The Buick Enclave Avenir’s base price is set at $53,500. Additional information can be found on their website.
Ahead of its global auto show debut at the New York International Auto Show on Wednesday, March 28 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, Jaguar announced an extreme variant of its best-selling F-PACE performance SUV – the F-PACE SVR.
Already recognized as the 2017 World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year, as well as being the best-selling model in the Jaguar line-up since its launch two years ago, the F-PACE was a natural choice to receive SVR upgrades. The performance enhancements made to create the F-PACE SVR make it the fastest and most powerful F-PACE yet. Boasting an enhanced chassis, improved aerodynamics and 170 more horsepower than the current range-topping F-PACE S, the F-PACE SVR is built for maximum driver reward in various conditions.
Engineered by Special Vehicle Operations (SVO), the 5.0-liter supercharged V8 found in the F-PACE SVR produces 550hp and 502lb. ft. of torque; a 44% uplift in power, enabling it to reach 0-60mph in just 4.1 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.3 seconds) on its way to a top speed of 176mph (283km/h)1.
“The F-PACE SVR delivers the handling and agility to match its performance,” said Mike Cross, Chief Engineer of Vehicle Integrity at Jaguar Land Rover. “Everything from the steering to the bespoke suspension set-up has been tuned specifically for our performance SUV and the result is a vehicle that lives up to the promise of both the F-PACE and SVR names.”
Aerodynamic enhancements include larger air intakes at the front and side fender vents that lower pressure in the wheel arches, reducing lift and providing additional cooling while also assisting with high-speed stability2. In addition, unique wheel arch extensions and lower body moldings provide a low-slung muscularity that sets the SVR apart.
An exclusive SVR hood features vents to help extract hot air from the engine bay, providing visual evidence of the car’s dynamic intent.
At the rear, a unique spoiler is joined by a new bumper housing the Active Exhaust system’s quad tailpipes. The bumper incorporates side strakes designed to aid aerodynamic performance by smoothing airflow away from the rear of the vehicle.
The upgraded chassis features a set of progressive front and rear springs that are 30- and 10-percent stiffer respectively; incorporating an anti-roll system that contributes to a 5-percent overall reduction in body roll.
New, lightweight forged 21- and optional 22-inch alloy wheels are wider at the rear by almost 1-inch (25mm) compared to the front and contribute to the vehicle’s enhanced handling. The 22-inch wheels are 5.3lbs lighter on the front and 3.7lbs lighter on the rear and are designed to deliver greater airflow to the larger 15.5-inch (395mm) front and 15.6-inch (396mm) rear brake discs. The brake discs feature an advanced two piece construction on the front and rear, and when combined with the lighter wheels reduce unsprung mass, further contributing to the new car’s agile handling.
The F-PACE SVR also features an F-TYPE inspired Variable Valve Active Exhaust System; providing not only a charismatic soundtrack, but also increasing exhaust gas flow as another factor behind the SUV’s increased performance capability. The SVR exhaust is 14.5lbs lighter than the standard exhaust system in the F-PACE.
As the first F-PACE to utilize a rear Electronic Active Differential (EAD), the differential in the SVR works in conjunction with a comprehensive range of advanced technologies, each calibrated to deliver increased on-road performance and handling. The torque on-demand All-Wheel Drive system’s Intelligent Driveline Dynamics (IDD) control technology has been optimized to maximize the benefit of the EAD, while the software for the Adaptive Dynamics suspension, Electronic Power Assisted Steering (EPAS) and Dynamic Driving Mode are all unique to the F-PACE SVR. Engaging Dynamic mode initiates faster, more responsive gearshifts, sharper throttle responses and increased steering response for a more engaging driving experience in all conditions.2
Inside, the F-PACE SVR features slimline performance front seats that provide enhanced lateral support and have the signature Jaguar lozenge quilting and embossed SVR logo. In addition, unique rear seats echo the heavily sculpted designs of the seats up front, while the SUV’s sports car character is underlined by a SportShift Gear Selector like what is found in the F-TYPE sports car. Finally, the SVR branded steering wheel is enhanced with tactile aluminum paddle shifters.
For all its performance, the SVR retains the practicality and versatility inherent to the ‘PACE’ family of crossovers and SUVs; the 33.5cu. ft. of available loadspace (with rear seats up) is unaffected by the enhancements made to the SVR model. As with other F-PACE vehicles the SVR keeps passengers connected and entertained on the move with an available 4G Wi-Fi connection for up to eight devices; advanced Touch Pro infotainment system with 10-inch touchscreen standard; and a standard 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display instrument cluster.4,5,6
Four interior color themes help to highlight the vehicle’s high performance personality; Red with Jet, Light Oyster with Jet, Siena Tan with Jet and Jet with Light Oyster stitching.
Drawing on extensive all-terrain expertise of both the Jaguar and Land Rover brands, the F-PACE SVR features a host of advanced technologies such as All-Wheel Drive with Intelligent Driveline Dynamics, All Surface Progress Control and Adaptive Surface Response to aid performance on a variety of surfaces and in a variety of weather conditions2.
The F-PACE SVR will be priced from $79,9903 when it arrives in retailer showrooms Summer of 2018, and comes standard with a best-in-class ownership package7, Jaguar EliteCare.
Customers can visit www.JaguarUSA.com for more information and to build their own F-PACE SVR.
As of late, we had the opportunity to test drive a pre-production QX50 during a three-day press launch at West Hollywood’s newest boutique property, La Peer Hotel.
The days are slowly fading, at least in the automotive industry, where bigger isn’t always better. The biggest engines, the most valves and absurd fuel consumption aren’t necessarily needed to create fast responsive engines. For Earth’s sake, this is a very economical and environmentally friendly path to take. Less fuel consumption while improving power output is the wave of the future and Infiniti is one of many leading the way. The newly redesigned 2019 Infiniti QX50 stocks a VC-Turbo Engine with all-new DriverAssist technology and lightweight skeleton.
Let’s start with the heart of the vehicle -the engine. What’s important to note is how much more economical the VC-Turbo Engine is in comparison to the 2017 QX50 and its stiffest competitor, the Lexus RX. The newly designed engine is a 2.0 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder which produces an impressive 268 horsepower @ 5,600 rpm while creating an astonishing 280 lb-ft of torque @ 1,600 rpm. This means quicker acceleration and consistent pull through the entire power band. The QX50 is able to stretch a gallon of fuel up to 27 mpg city/hwy which is a 35% increase in fuel economy from the previous model, making it the most economical vehicle in its class. The Lexus RX comes in 4 mpg less while also lacking in the torque department. Infiniti for the win!
Complementing fuel efficiency is its all-new lightweight platform. The frame only weighs 923.7lbs and the weight-to-size ratio is the best in class. Designed from high tensile material it enables the car to resist flex, vibration and reduces noise pollution inside the cabin for a more luxurious ride. Now fitted with McPherson suspension, commonly used on BMW, the QX50 is ready for spirited driving. Furthermore with the increased structural integrity, the suspension appears to be more responsive, providing the driver with greater control and cornering.
When it comes to safety, there’s one thing which comes in mind – how well does it stop? Infiniti added a new braking system designed for control under most conditions. The vehicle is fitted with ventilated front brakes which are larger than the previous model, measuring in at 13 inch in diameter. Moreover, a new brake booster and tie rod system has been added to reduce the need for higher brake pedal pressure. Depending on customer preference, there are two wheel/tire and two drivetrain options available. The tires come in 19 inch wheels with 235/55R19 tires or 20 inch wheels with 255/45R20 tires – both available in run flats and reinforced rubber sidewalls to allow up to 93 miles with reduced air pressure. For the drivetrain, one can choose between the intelligent AWD or the standard FWD. Better grip, braking and handling attributes can be expected with the AWD upgrade.
The exterior stays true to Infiniti’s “Powerful Elegance” language. Several features set this model apart from its predecessors. It’s overall sculpture is influenced by aerodynamic efficiency which adds to the muscular yet sleek design of the crossover. Every curve (mostly on the hood) and shape of the QX50 is fully functional, improving its drag coefficient by 6%. The front fascia boasts its usual distinct double arched grille. Furthermore, it is equipped with the signature LED headlight design that gives an appearance of an intense stare-down. Slightly sitting higher with larger wheels, you are reminded, ‘its more than just a good look but a sporty companion.’
Ergonomics are apparent inside the cabin. Upfront are two zero-gravity NASA seats alongside of a passenger-minded asymmetrical architecture, allowing both driver and passenger to feel connected and co-operative. On the dash board sits the InTouch infotainment center featured on dual screens for ease and convenience. It allows passengers to stream media from handheld devices via Bluetooth – including music ,texts and photos (Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are not yet available). The Bose Performance Series audio system is designed specifically for the QX50’s underpinnings to produce optimal sound quality. It’s loaded with 17-speakers and delivers an unmatched audible experience. Above head is panoramic moon/sunroof which stretches from the front to back seats complete with a motorized blackout curtain. It enhances the roominess, especially for backseat passengers who wish to stargaze. Also in the rear is a sliding rear bench which alters both legroom and cargo room for whichever is needed most. The quilted seat packages offer a bespoke feel coupled with ultra suede middle console, pillars and headliner. Moreover, manually retractable rear window nets offer additional privacy as well as sun protection when paired with factory tint.
Driver connectivity is further enhanced with ProPilot – a feature which allows single lane driving assistance. This helps with driver fatique during bumper-to-bumper traffic and long drives. As the name implies, this patented technology assists the driver in identifying road hazards as well as other drivers which could potentially cause accidents. Moreover, ProPILOT also helps manage acceleration, braking and steering in single lane travel. For whatever reason, when activated it makes both the steering and brakes feel firm and tenacious. We tested it on the whiny roads of Muholland Drive; and it practically drove itself even while descending (activation normally lasts upto 20 secs or until it falls back in between the 2 lines). In addition, the newly introduced heads-up display in lower windshield allows the driver to fixate more on the road and less on the navigation. Also works well with polarized eyewear and shades.
In short, the 2019 Infiniti QX50 AWD fully loaded model prices just under $60,000 which isn’t quite so bad considering the brains of this bodacious beauty. Not to mention, the overall performance is extremely desirable and nimble at times. This is an amazing buy for a millennial executive with room for a modern family or empty nesters with a few adult children in tow.
Hyundai Motor will showcase a trio of new technologies at CES 2018 from January 9-12 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, all focused on connecting future technology with evolving mobility challenges.
