Darkhold Wasp Cover Artwork from Anthony Blackwood, Marvel Entertainment for use by 360 Magazine

MADNESS IS UNLEASHED – DARKHOLD: WASP × DARKHOLD: BLACK BOLT

The madness of the Darkhold will be unleashed on the Marvel Universe this fall beginning in DARKHOLD ALPHA #1! In this highly anticipated mystical saga, five heroes—IRON MAN, BLADE, WASP, BLACK BOLT, and SPIDER-MAN—will be recruited by Scarlet Witch to travel to Chthon’s dimension to stop him before he can invade Earth. But in order to survive there, each hero must first read from the Darkhold and let themselves be driven insane, leading to twisted new versions of themselves! These mind-melting adventures will unfold over a series of exciting character-focused one-shots including November’s DARKHOLD: WASP and DARKHOLD: BLACK BOLT!

Renowned colorist and writer Jordie Bellaire makes her Marvel Comics writing debut alongside rising star artist Claire Roe for a story that will make you shrink in fear in DARKHOLD: WASP! Scarlet Witch chose Janet Van Dyne for her ingenuity and strength, will she prove to be the lynchpin in the coming battle against Chthon or will she be consumed by darkness? After reading the Darkhold, Wasp’s entire life is subject to question but she has the power to reclaim her story…and fight back.

Critically acclaimed writer Mark Russell teams up with sensational artist David Cutler to brings you a scream-worthy story that will break an empire in DARKHOLD: BLACK BOLT! Black Bolt’s mighty voice is his greatest gift…and since childhood, it has been his greatest curse. Black Bolt thought he was signing up for a battle befitting a king but after reading from the Darkhold, he’ll discover the true battlefield will be his own mind.

“As a writer, it’s a joy to get to write a character who spends even more time inside their own head than you do,” Russell said. “So Black Bolt is a writer’s dream character and when I heard which other creators were involved with the series, I was totally on board, like someone who’d unwittingly bought a house in a really great neighborhood.”

Check out the covers for DARKHOLD: WASP and DARKHOLD: BLACK BOLT as well as Cian Tormey’s new “defiled designs” and enter the Darkhold if you dare when this strange and terrifying saga begins in September! For more information, visit Marvel.

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #76 Cover by ARTHUR ADAMS from Anthony Blackwood, Marvel for use by 360 Magazine

AMAZING SPIDER-MAN’S NEXT ERA

Last week, Marvel announced that a team of superstar writers will assemble this October for a brand new run of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN. Zeb Wells, Kelly Thompson, Saladin Ahmed, Cody Ziglar, and Patrick Gleason have crafted a saga beyond anything that’s come before in Spider-Man history, and the soon-to-be thrice-monthly series will boast an all-star team of amazing artists. Writer/artist Patrick Gleason will be the bedrock of the team, leading the design and doing the art on the over-sized milestone issue AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #75. Joining him will be acclaimed artist Sara Pichelli, the co-creator of Miles Morales doing her first work on Amazing Spider-Man, as well as Michael Dowling, known for his incredible work on Black Cat. In addition, comic book legend Arthur Adams will grace this epic run with his amazing artwork on each and every cover. And this is just the tip of the iceberg for the legends who will be bringing this revolutionary epic to you!

Here’s what Editor Nick Lowe had to say about this upcoming era:

“When we started building ‘Beyond’ we knew we had to pull out all the stops from the artistic side. That began with making sure Patrick Gleason was with us from the get-go as a writer AND an artist. His recent webhead covers have rocked the industry showing yet another element to the incredible career that we all saw on display during his run on Amazing Spider-Man. He quickly stepped up to be our artistic cornerstone, but we also needed to make sure that whoever else joined him were elite talents.

“Sara Pichelli is an absolute legend, creating some of the most impactful work of the last ten years. It’s crazy to think this will be her first time drawing Amazing Spider-Man, and she’s already blown us away with her masterful work. Michael Dowling’s work on Unfollow and other works got him hired for Black Cat, but his work there showed us that he would be an absolute superstar, and his issues are already blowing our minds. And then, to be able to land Arthur Adams as our cover artist. I mean, from his classic X-Men Annuals to today, Arthur has defined the Marvel Universe visually as much as almost anyone. So to have him here? I’m beyond excited. And wait until we reveal the rest of our all-star roster!”

Don’t forget to check out FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2021: SPIDER-MAN/VENOM on August 14th for your first glimpse at what’s to come in this exciting new age of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! Check out upcoming covers, variant covers, and artwork from the first three series artists and stay tuned for more information, including the grand reveal of the main cover for AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #75! Marvel x VeVe — digital collectibles experience from Timothy Cheng for use by 360 Magazine

MARVEL × VEVE — DIGITAL COLLECTIBLES EXPERIENCE

Fans will be able to purchase official Marvel NFT digital collectibles, digital comic books and more, available through the VeVe Digital Collectibles app platform starting later this year

Marvel Entertainment and Orbis Blockchain Technologies Limited, a digital collectibles company operating the VeVe Digital Collectibles App, announced today a new collaboration to launch a global digital collectibles experience for millions of Marvel fans and collectors around the world in the coming months. For the first time, fans will be able to purchase and interact with official Marvel NFT digital collectibles, 3D statues and digital comic books through mixed reality on VeVe’s groundbreaking app platform.

Available on iOS and Android, the VeVe Digital Collectibles App brings fandom directly to fans wherever they are by offering a rich collecting experience. Through the VeVe Digital Collectibles App, fans can buy and collect a variety of Marvel NFTs; trade and hunt for rare (and even secret-rare) NFT comic books and collectibles; and display their hard-earned collection through fully customizable virtual showrooms.

Users will be able to purchase Gems (VeVe’s in-app currency) with their credit card via in-app payments and will have the ability to cash out Gems. With Gems, users can buy official Marvel NFTs or buy and sell Marvel NFT collectibles with others in VeVe’s secondary marketplace, creating a simple and accessible Marvel digital collectible experience for every type of Marvel fan.

“Since the beginning, collecting has always gone hand in hand with being a Marvel fan,” said Dan Buckley, President, Marvel Entertainment. “Like us, VeVe understands collecting is about the experience just as much as the product, and we look forward to extending that experience for our fans over the years to come.”

“Today, we’re seeing more fans than ever gravitate toward their screens,” said David Yu, Co-Founder & CEO, VeVe. “Fans want to watch and post about their favorite characters, talk about them on social media and find ways to interact with these characters however they can. The VeVe Digital Collectibles App takes that idea of collecting to the next level by embodying that element of fun while also making the growing trend of NFT digital collectibles accessible for everyone.”

The only app currently of its kind, VeVe’s unique mixed reality adds a digital layer to the world around us, allowing fans to interact with their collection and bring their favorite toys, statues and other collectibles to life. Fans will also be able to share their own curated collections of photos, videos and virtual showrooms with their friends and the fan community using the app’s features.

“Marvel has been exploring with VeVe how to make the Marvel digital collecting experience as special as the physical experience, and we are excited to finally be able to share this vision with our fans,” said Daniel Fink, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy, Marvel Entertainment. “Through VeVe’s platform, we hope to expand the limits of what Marvel fandom can be, starting with personal and interactive digital collectibles that, through NFTs, fans can truly collect, share and enjoy in a way that they have not been able to do before.”

VeVe NFT digital collectibles are minted on the blockchain, which allows for an immutable record of authentication and allows fans to collect their digital products through a fun and engaging experience. Since last December, VeVe has sold over 580,000 NFT digital collectibles to its growing user base of over 340,000 avid fans and has become one of the top apps in the entertainment category on the Google app store.

“We saw the opportunity back in 2017 to create something new and exciting for collectors and embarked on a multi-year journey to bring VeVe to life,” said Dan Crothers, Co-Founder & COO, VeVe. “Our mindset as collectors was to imitate the physical world of collecting, which fans know and love, and offer this experience in an enhanced digital format that felt exciting, authentic and sustainable.”

Earlier this year, VeVe announced its plans to be the first-ever carbon neutral NFT platform and committed to 100% carbon neutral NFTs, offering grants to environmental nonprofits to raise money for causes. The VeVe app also utilizes distributed ledger technologies, which they estimate are more energy efficient than competitors in the market.

More details about Marvel’s exciting new digital collectibles coming to VeVe will be shared in the next few weeks. Comic book fans should also stay tuned for some exciting new reveals coming soon!

DONNY CATES × RYAN STEGMAN — FAREWELL TO VENOM

VENOM #200 hits stands tomorrow!

Tomorrow marks the end one of the most revolutionary Marvel sagas of the last decade: Donny Cates and Ryan Stegman’s VENOM. The superstar creative team will close out their redefining work on Eddie Brock and the symbiote mythos in Venom’s milestone 200th issue. Over the years, Cates and Stegman have torn Eddie Brock’s life asunder, uncovering long-hidden mysteries behind the nature of symbiotes while exploring Venom’s very nature as a Marvel hero. This bold era launched two line-wide events, Absolute Carnage and King in Black, and will leave a lasting impact not only on the character of Venom but on the Marvel Universe as a whole. The acclaimed duo recently sat down to reflect on their run in a special farewell video, spotlighting their greatest moments as well as a sneak peek at tomorrow’s issue.

“We’re gonna end this run the way that we started it—by exploding everything you ever thought that you knew, and setting the stage for something that’s truly and honestly going to change Eddie and the Marvel Universe forever,” Cates said.

“We’ve got some of the coolest images in the series coming up in 200,” Stegman promises. “If you thought that Venom with a battle axe with a star field on his costume with glowing eyes was crazy, you haven’t seen much yet.”

PEACH MOMOKO — DEMON DAYS: CURSED WEB

This September, Peach Momoko’s quarterly series continues with DEMON DAYS: CURSED WEB! In this new third installment, Momoko will continue to expertly blend Japanese folklore with the Marvel Comics mythos in a dazzling new story that will introduce fascinating versions of characters like Ghost-Spider, Mystique and Sabretooth.

Earlier this year, acclaimed artist Peach Momoko made her writing and interior art debut in DEMON DAYS: X-MEN. The first entry into a mesmerizing new take on the Marvel Universe straight from the mind of Peach Momoko, DEMON DAYS: X-MEN was a huge success, demanding multiple printings and receiving critical acclaim. The quarterly series will resume next week in DEMON DAYS: MARIKO, setting the stage for September’s DEMON DAYS: CURSED WEB.

DEMON DAYS: CURSED WEB will follow Mariko Yashida as she journeys deep into a dark forest to find answers about her past. Instead, she finds a magical wolf with three toes and a strange girl with a pet spider. But there are deadly creatures in these woods too — a mysterious, blue-skinned woman and a giant with super-strength and claws — and they’re after Mariko!

“It’s been a lot of fun carefully thinking about how to reimagine Marvel characters into my Momoko-verse,” Momoko said. “Keeping just enough of the character so people can guess who it is but changing it enough to create something very unique. With that in mind, I love getting to come up with ideas and stories around these characters to tell my story. I hope everyone enjoys the Momoko-verse.”

Check out the main cover as well as a sneak peek at interior art, and don’t miss Peach Momoko’s next epic tale when DEMON DAYS: CURSED WEB #1 hits stands in September! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

Marvel’s Moon Knight

MOON KNIGHT’S NEW MISSION…IS JUSTICE!

The Moon Knight you’ve been demanding by Jed MacKay and Alessandro Cappucio this July

The Fist of Khonshu returns this July! Moon Knight, one of Marvel’s most enigmatic and compelling heroes, is back in an all-new ongoing series written by Jed MacKay (Black Cat) and making his Marvel Comics debut, artist Alessandro Cappuccio (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). MOON KNIGHT #1 will spin directly out of the recent “Age of Khonshu” arc in Jason Aaron’s Avengers run and promises to be a worthy new adventure for this fascinating character.

The mysterious Mr. Knight has opened his Midnight Mission, his people petitioning for protection from the weird and horrible. That protection is offered by Moon Knight, who stalks the rooftops and alleys marked with his crescent moon tag, bringing violence to any who would harm his people. Marc Spector, in whichever guise he dons, is back on the streets, a renegade priest of an unworthy god. But while Khonshu languishes in a prison that Moon Knight put him in, the white-cowled hero must still observe his duty: protecting those who travel at night. And let it be known – Moon Knight will keep the faith.

“I’m very excited to be working with Alessando Cappuccio on the continuing adventures of one of Marvel’s biggest messes- Moon Knight!” MacKay said. “In the wake of his disastrous attempt to take over the world in the “Age of Khonshu,” Marc Spector (et al) has retreated to what he knows–busting heads on the streets. But despite betraying his god to the Avengers, the Fist of Khonshu’s obligations remain the same–to protect those traveling at night. Apostate priest of the moon god, the mysterious Mr. Knight has opened the doors of his Midnight Mission, where those in fear of the weird and strange may petition for the aid of the Moon Knight! But this doesn’t sit well with everyone, and hidden threats circle Marc’s new start from the shadows…”

“When Tom Brevoort contacted me to work on the new Moon Knight series, I couldn’t believe it,” Cappucio said. “Debuting in Marvel Comics with one of my favorite characters is a dream come true! The story is a new beginning for Moon Knight, Jed did an excellent job as usual on the scripts and I’m delighted to be working with a professional of his caliber.”

Since his first appearance in 1975’s Werewolf by Night #32 by comic book greats Doug Moench and Don Perlin, Moon Knight has stood out over the years thanks to his intriguing mythology and the psychological complexities of the character. Having enjoyed critically-acclaimed runs by Brian Michael Bendis, Warren Ellis, and Jeff Lemire, Mark Spector now makes his much-demanded return with a series that will give Moon Knight fans exactly what they’ve been asking for and serve as a perfect gateway for newcomers interested in this unique Marvel hero. Don’t miss the start of Moon Knight’s new era when MOON KNIGHT #1 hits stands on July 7! For more information, visit Marvel’s website.
