Coheed and Cambria – The Great Destroyer Tour

Coheed and Cambria have announced details of “The Great Destroyer Tour,” a U.S. headline run which will feature support from special guests Sheer Mag. The coast-to-coast trek is set to get underway on February 16th at the legendary Pappy & Harriet’s in Pioneertown, CA and will continue through mid-March giving audiences an opportunity to see the band live in intimate clubs across the U.S. Pre-sales for tickets to “The Great Destroyer Tour” will begin tomorrow, December 15th at 10:00AM local time with general on sale starting Friday, December 17th at 10:00AM local time. For tickets and more information on the “The Great Destroyer Tour,” click HERE.

The upcoming winter dates will see Coheed and Cambria performing their 2021 singles “Rise, Naianasha (Cut The Cord)” and “Shoulders,” the latter of which is currently Top 10 at Active Rock Radio, marking the group’s career highest radio chart position to date. “A total banger, as explosive and catchy as anything they’ve ever released,” declared REVOLVER who placed “Shoulders” in their weekly Best New Songs Right Now round-up. “Coheed and Cambria are back, and they’re heavy as ever,” asserted Billboard, with Guitar World attesting “Coheed and Cambria have come out swinging.” Brooklyn Vegan observed, “It finds the band embracing their love of classic heavy metal riffage, before exploding into the kind of soaring chorus that Coheed have been churning out since day one, they sound pretty damn inspired.”

Furthermore, Coheed and Cambria vocalist/guitarist Claudio Sanchez sat down with GRAMMY.com earlier this year for an in-depth interview discussing details of the band’s imminent new album while also examining Vaxis, an emerging central figure in the sci-fi universe of “The Amory Wars”, previewing his origin story and expanding the mythos.

About Coheed and Cambria

For the last 20 years, Coheed and Cambria have continuously broken the mold of what a rock band can be, forging their own path and building a universe around their music unlike any other. Whether it is in the way their genre-spanning approach to songwriting has allowed them to bridge worlds without being contained to one, or the multifaceted story arc of their albums and comic book series which mark the longest running concept story in music, Coheed and Cambria have consistently shaped new standards, never conformed. Comprised of Claudio Sanchez (Vocals/Guitar), Travis Stever (Guitar), Josh Eppard (Drums) and Zach Cooper (Bass) the band has gripped listeners and press around the globe with their visionary compositions and conceptual mastery. In 2018, Coheed and Cambria made a stunning debut with their album Vaxis I: The Unheavenly Creatures, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s “Hard Rock Albums” chart, #6 current sales and Top 15 on the “Billboard 200” chart.

Jesse McCartney – Kiss The World Goodbye

Jesse McCartney reveals new single and video, Kiss the World Goodbye, as well as announces fall tour dates.

Today, multi-platinum recording artist, singer, songwriter, and actor Jesse McCartney released his new anthemic single and video for Kiss The World Goodbye off his upcoming sixth studio album New Stage, due out Fall 2021. Representing a new chapter in his life, New Stage is set to mark his first full-length album in seven years. The video for Kiss The World Goodbye premiered on McCartney’s YouTube page at midnight last night. Later this year, McCartney will embark on a 2021 tour, in support of the forthcoming album, with pre-sale tickets available for purchase starting later today.

Inspired by his future wife, actress Katie Peterson, the single reflects their bond where they are ready to take on anything and everything. McCartney shares, “If this last year has taught us anything, it’s to hold our loved ones close. I hope my fans can overcome the fear and anxiety that has come with this pandemic, and if it helps, they can jump in the car with a friend or significant other, roll the windows down, blast this song, and just drive! This song is intended to inspire, even when you have the weight of the world on your shoulders. And when you have that special someone you can rely on, someone who can share in the good times and bad, it really gives you the sense that the two of you can take on anything.”

Kiss The World Goodbye is written by Jesse McCartney, Carah Faye (of Shiny Toy Guns and co-writer of Stay the Night performed by Zedd & Hayley Williams), and Morgan Taylor Reid (Grammy-nominated producer who has previously worked with Marshmello, Chromeo, Backstreet Boys, American Authors, MAX, etc.). The song follows last year’s singles Yours, an introspective look at the different roles he’s played throughout his life, and Friends, an homage to the people in one’s life who become chosen family.

Directed by brother & sister duo, Maxx & Madison, the music video is themed “us against the world,” and inspired by Bonnie & Clyde meets 1996’s Romeo & Juliet, co-starring McCartney’s fiancé Katie Peterson.

This November, McCartney is set to launch his tour in Austin, TX hitting over 20 cities before ending in Los Angeles. Pre-sale tickets go on sale today, July 21. General tickets go on sale starting July 23rd. There will also be VIP packages available for purchase. Additional details to come.

His first three albums—the platinum-certified Beautiful Soul (2004), Right Where You Want Me (2006), and Departure (2008)—consecutively bowed in the Top 15 of the Billboard Top 200 with the singles Beautiful Soul minted Gold and Leavin’ certified Platinum. Plus, he collaborated with T-Pain on the cross-genre banger Body Language. Meanwhile, SPIN touted In Technicolor as among its “Top 20 Pop Albums of 2014.” Along the way, he performed in arenas alongside the likes of New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys in addition to packing global headline tours and hosting shows for both George W. Bush and Barack Obama.

In 2018, the one-off single Better With You racked up over 30 million cumulative streams and paved the way for his fifth offering. Simultaneously, his acting credits grew to include everything from Chernobyl Diaries and Fear The Walking Dead to Alvin and the Chipmunks, and even voicing the character Roxas/Ventus in gamer favorite Kingdom Hearts. Now, he opens up more than ever on his sixth full-length album, due out later this year.

Clairo Announces North American Tour

On the heels of her sophomore album, Sling, Clairo announces her 2022 headlining North American Tour.

Following the release of her critically acclaimed sophomore album, Sling, 22-year-old American artist, songwriter, and producer Clairo has announced her 2022 headlining North American tour dates today. Produced by Live Nation, the 28-date tour will kick off on February 16 in Charlotte, NC at The Fillmore Charlotte with stops in Boston, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping April 16 in Atlanta, GA at Tabernacle.

Joining her on the road is British singer-songwriter and poet Arlo Parks supporting Clairo for the majority of the tour, with Brooklyn indie-rockers Widowspeak joining for the three remaining tour dates. Clairo has partnered with SafeTour and Calling All Crows to provide a safe and harassment-free concert experience. Clairo is integrating a dedicated representative from Calling All Crows into her touring team who will respond to requests for support through a text helpline and proactive canvassing of each concert, and provide messaging and educational support so that attendees can take part in making these shows and their own communities safer. Together, SafeTour and Calling All Crows will provide sexual harassment prevention and response training to the full band, crew, and interested venue staff to create a safe and inclusive environment on the road.

“Now that shows are starting to come back into our everyday lives, it’s important to prioritize everyone’s experience to the fullest,” Clairo shared. “Everyone deserves a resource, and everyone deserves to enjoy the show in peace. I want the audience to know that there is someone who will listen and believe them at every show.”

The tour announcement comes on the heels of last Friday, when Clairo released her highly anticipated sophomore studio album, Sling, via FADER Label/Republic Records. Co-produced with Grammy® Award-winning producer Jack Antonoff, Sling was recorded at Allaire Studios in Upstate New York and features 12-tracks including Blouse, which the 22-year-old performed live on NBC’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last month.

Praised for her diary-worthy stories earmarked by her devilishly sharp commentary and angelically intimate vocals. The singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer has quietly threaded these stories into the fabric of popular culture since she first surfaced as a phenomenon out of her dorm bedroom. Following the success of her 2018 debut, Diary 001 EP, Clairo unveiled her 2019 full-length debut album, Immunity (FADER Label). The now 22-year-old received critical acclaim from the likes of Billboard, The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, NME, NPR, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and many more. Beyond performing on TV shows like Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, and most recently The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she has notably sold-out headline tours as well as joined the bills of Coachella and Lollapalooza. Her growing catalog includes the platinum-certified Pretty Girl and gold-certified 4Ever and Flaming Hot Cheetos, in addition to Are You Bored Yet?—her platinum collaboration with Wallows. To date, she has amassed over 3 billion streams and counting. In 2021, she turns the page on the next chapter with her highly anticipated sophomore album, Sling.

Rival Sons Announce Fall North American Tour

Rival Sons announce a fall headline tour to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of their landmark album, Pressure and Time.

GRAMMY-nominated group Rival Sons will return to the road in North America on the Pressure and Time Tour this fall. The six-week headline run will see the band celebrating the 10th anniversary of their 2011 album, Pressure and Time, by performing the landmark long player live in its entirety. The tour kicks off on September 29 at Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and includes stops at legendary venues such as the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the Riviera Theater in Chicago, The Warfield in San Francisco, The Wiltern in Los Angeles, and comes to a close on November 13 at House of Blues in Anaheim, CA. Most dates of the tour will feature support from Dorothy, with select dates supported by either Reignwolf or Myron Elkins. The official ticket pre-sale launches Wednesday, July 21.

For the first time, Rival Sons will perform their critically acclaimed and cult favorite second full-length album, Pressure & Time, from top to bottom. Upon its arrival in 2011, Pressure and Time garnered the band worldwide recognition and has since amassed over 40 million-plus streams and garnered widespread praise with the BBC affirming it is “simply stuffed with rollicking tunes.”

Last month, Rival Sons lit up Southern California with a two-night livestream event, Rival Sons “Pair of Aces: Live from the historic Catalina Casino on Santa Catalina Island.” They performed their debut LP, Before the Fire [2009], in its entirety on the first night and their self-titled EP, Rival Sons [2010], on the second.

Earlier this year, Rival Sons launched their very own label, Sacred Tongue Recordings, with distribution through Thirty Tigers. The band recently regained the master rights to several of their early releases and will reintroduce them to the world by first remastering their independent full-length debut LP, Before the Fire (2009), and self-titled EP Rival Sons (2010), on all DSPS, CD, and Vinyl – for the first time. They’ve printed up an exclusive run of 1000 copies of both Before the Fire and Rival Sons. Before the Fire will come in an orange splatter variant, while the EP is available in a clear with gold splatter variant. There will also be indie retailer exclusive colorways of each release in translucent orange and crystal clear, respectively. A repressing of Pressure and Time has not been announced but is expected in the coming months.

By looking back, Rival Sons also leap forward again as they continue working on more music and the follow-up to 2019’s Feral Roots, which not only garnered a 2020 GRAMMY Award nomination for Best Rock Album but also yielded a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Performance for the top 10 rock track, Too Bad, and features the #1 rock radio single, Do Your Worst. Produced by multi GRAMMY Award-winner Dave Cobb at Nashville’s famed RCA Studio A, and the equally legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Muscle Shoals, AL, Rival Sons’ Feral Roots is available now on all streaming platforms.

Devon Gilfillian: Winter Wonderland

Devon Gilfillian ushers in the holiday season with an infectious, soulful take on Winter Wonderland. Download it here!

“I decided to cover ‘Winter Wonderland’ because it takes me back to being a kid in Philly, watching inches upon inches of snow fall to the ground and praying for those three extra snow days to be added to Christmas break,” explains Gilfillian. “It takes me back to Pops making silver dollar pancakes on Christmas morning, and singing Bing Crosby’s version of this tune. I wanted to hold on to the nostalgia I feel from this song but also put a modern soul spin to it.”

Hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the most exciting young artists in Nashville’s burgeoning soul scene, Gilfillian will close out 2018 with a December 6 show at Academy Center of the Arts in Lynchburg, VA, where he will open for Mavis Staples, and a performance at Jack Daniel’s Music City Midnight: New Year’s Eve in Nashville.

He will join Brothers Osborne on the road next spring. The run kicks off on March 21 at The Fillmore in New Orleans and includes an April 3 show at The Novo in Los Angeles. Gilfillian will also perform at the 2019 Shakey Knees Festival in Atlanta. See below for itinerary. Tickets are on sale HERE.

Winter Wonderland follows the singles Truth, High. and Troublemaker. Troublemaker, which was praised by Rolling Stone as a raucous heaping of swampy soul and rock, was heard during 2018 NFL Draft programming/advertising. Gilfillian performed the national anthem before Round 1 of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Gilfillian, who is featured in the Frye Americana Roots campaign and was recently named as a Southwest Airlines “Artist on the Rise,” grew up outside Philadelphia and moved to Nashville to pursue music full-time. In 2016, he released his debut EP, which NPR Music said, “captures his exuberance and musical openness, setting the stage for what promises to be a brilliant career.” Gilfillian is currently working on his full-length debut.

Maggie Rogers

[On Give A Little] Rogers churned out a cathartic pop song about empathy and unity

Toss in a righteous guitar riff, plus a cascade of affirming handclaps, and Rogers emerges with a much-needed sunbeam of a song.” – Pitchfork

Give A Little is a natural and groovy extension of her stunning organic soundscapes.” –V Magazine

Like every song she puts out, [Give A Little] is a surprise that further proves her dexterity and versatility as an artist.” –Paper

It’s a warm, rippling pop song that makes the most of Rogers’ graceful, approachable voice. It already sounds like a hit.” –Stereogum

Today Maggie Rogers debuts the video for her new track Give A Little from her forthcoming debut album on Capitol Records. Filmed in Pacoima, CA the video was co-directed by Rogers and Alan Del Rio Ortiz and features Rachel Matthews, Camila Mendes, Myriah Rose, Firefly, Makayla Menard and Bridget Gamble.

Watch it HERE.

I had so much fun directing this video alongside Alan Del Rio Ortiz,” says Rogers. “I was obsessed with 70s skate culture in high school and really just wanted to have a silly day recreating my favorite scenes from Lords of Dogtown and paying homage to my favorite Farrah Fawcett photos. Those early skate videos feel so raw and powerful, it was important to me to show that that energy could also be female. It was super special to have my two college pals, Rachel Matthews and Camila Mendes, along for the ride. We’ve been friends since the first week of our freshman year, but our schedules have gotten so beautifully and amazingly kind of crazy since we graduated a couple years ago. It was so much fun just to spend the day dancing and giggling with each other like the old days.

Produced by GRAMMY winning producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia, Foo Fighters) and Rogers, the upbeat, effervescent song can be streamed / downloaded HERE. Give A Little follows the acclaimed single Fallingwater, which NPR hailed as a powerful, mesmerizing depiction of Rogers’ transition over the last two years a celebration of the terrifying yet thrilling process of change.

Rogers will kick off a North American headline tour on October 15 at The Fillmore in San Francisco, CA. The run will include shows at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA (October 18), The Vic Theatre in Chicago, IL (October 30) and Royale in Boston, MA (November 5). Mallrat will support on all dates- see all dates here. The outing marks Rogers’ first headline tour since her summer 2017 outing, which sold out in minutes.
Rogers will also headline two sold out shows at Koko in London (August 29 + 30) following her performances at the U.K.’s Reading and Leeds festival. She will also perform at the Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival in Franklin, TN (September 22 + 23) and co-headline the 2018 All Things Go Fall Classic, one of Washington, DC’s largest signature festivals. She and LPX (Lizzy Plapinger) curated for opening day, October 6.

Maggie Rogers is a producer, songwriter and performer from Easton, Maryland. After her education at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she released her breakout single Alaska and subsequent critically acclaimed debut EP, Now That The Light Is Fading. Alaska has since charted in Spotify’s Viral 50 in 40 countries, hit #1 in 23 countries and now has over 100 million global combined streams to date. The BBC, Tidal, Google Play, Vevo, Pandora and numerous publications including Rolling Stone, NYLON, SPIN, Billboard and more have tipped her as an artist to watch. NPR named her one of its Favorite Musicians and The New Yorker declares, Maggie Rogers is an artist of her time.

RETROGRADE

“A perfectly balanced duo. They both have incredible skills. They both have wonderful voices. The harmonies are fabulous. And they play the heck out of the guitar…” – NPR Music

Capitol Records will release Retrograde, the new EP from Striking Matches, on February 9. The EP’s title track and “Desire” are selections from the band’s upcoming full-length album, due out later this year. The collection also includes the duo’s compelling version of Buffalo Springfield’s classic protest song, “For What It’s Worth.”

Striking Matches will join Phillip Phillips on the first leg of The Magnetic Tour. The North American run will include a two-night stand at The Sinclair in Cambridge, MA (February 14 & 15), a February 18 show at Irving Plaza in New York City and a concert at 3rd and Lindsley in Nashville on February 25. Tickets can be purchased at http://www.strikingmatches.com/#/tour

The duo – comprising Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis – recently made its Sundance Film Festival debut, performing at the ASCAP Music Café. The pair was also featured on the NFL’s “Heart of the Game” webseries.

After releasing the Shameless EP onCapitol Recordslast fall, Striking Matches toured North America and Europe with JOHNNYSWIM. The Tampa Bay Times said, “Striking Matches are both an amazing acoustic songwriting duo and a pair of bluesy electrifying performers…Their voices vibrantly bounce off each other to fun harmonies, most notably in ‘Medicine,’ a song that got the crowd singing along almost immediately.”

Watch Striking Matches perform “Medicine” live from Capitol Studios in Hollywood in this video.

Shameless, which was produced by Kennedy Karate (Børns), follows the duo’s 2015 debut album, Nothing But The Silence, which has racked up more than 10 million cumulative streams worldwide.

Nothing But The Silence, which was produced by T Bone Burnett, won acclaim in the U.S. and abroad. NPR’s “World Café” hailed Striking Matches as an “Artist to Watch” andBuzzfeednamed the duo as one of the “Artists You Need In Your Life.” USA Today said, “Sarah Zimmermann and Justin Davis give off sparks as singers and writers, but they’re even hotter guitarists. Incendiary.” American Songwriter observed, “these songs crackle and sizzle.” Nothing But The Silence debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes UK Country Chart and several tracks were featured on BBC Radio 2’s playlist.

Zimmermann grew up outside Philadelphia, and mastered the guitar, clarinet and violin before middle school. Davis, who is from Atlanta, began playing guitar at an early age. A professor at Belmont University in Nashville paired them up for class projects, and they soon started writing together. Nine of their songs were performed in the first four seasons of the hit television show “Nashville.” In addition to numerous headline outings, Striking Matches have opened for Train and toured the U.S. with The Secret Sisters on a co-headline tour.
