ZAHARA × NQABA YAM

NEW ALBUM ‘NQABA YAM’ IS OUT NOW

There will be light at the end of the tunnel is the recurring theme and text for Zahara’s most honest and personal album yet, Nqaba Yam.

Much like the fiery red dress she dons on the artwork for her anticipated fifth offering, Zahara is the ray of sunshine that many have yearned for in the midst of a global pandemic. Her latest body of work serves as a pick-me-up.

The soothing, healing and soulful melody of the 12-track album, paired with introspective lyrics oozes a newfound confidence in Zahara’s distinct voice. Her aura is effervescent and light as air. She’s letting her masterful guitar skills do all the talking, while taking listeners on a sonic stroll in a botanical garden.

Her new music is fresh, simple and organic like the cornrows she sports on her head. It’s evident in every delicate and soft note that she belts out that the Eastern Cape country girl has found her nirvana. Zahara has also spiritually connected with her faith and found solace in God’s mercy.

This is praise and worship music – given that Zahara va va voom!

With 10 years in the ever evolving music industry, multiple South African Music Awards (Samas), over 400 000 albums sold and 366 000 Instagram followers; Zahara has nothing more to prove.

So she instead welcomes us into her castle and introduces fans to her pillar of strength throughout her trials and tribulations – God.

Penning down every song on the album, Zahara reunites with producer and longtime collaborator Mojalefa “Mjakes” Thebe.

Titular track Nqaba Yam is the perfect album opener and set the tone quite well. Straight off the bet she lets listeners know that this is the gospel of Zahara away from the glitz and glamour. She has given all her trust and hope to the man upstairs. This song is a classic Zahara Afro-pop banger from the instrumental to the piercing vulnerability in her velvety vocals.

With a modern country guitar intro, Sinda Mphefumlo reminds us that Zahara is still unapologetically a country girl at heart. In this journal entry, she is fighting both her internal and external demons – her heart and soul are heavy.

Keeping with the country motif, Ndikhona has written all over it the potential of a Zahara anthem. She creates a mystery and keeps the listener guessing if this is a love letter to a friend or lover. But what’s clear is that Zahara has never sounded this good and felt such tenderness. So much so that she will make all the time in the world for such fondness.

Zahara makes a holy plea to God with emotionally-charged Ndincede. She has been in the trenches, a lot of unpleasant things have been said about her and she needs all the strength in the world to pull through it all. Her voice has never sounded brilliantly exposed and authentic.

Bawo is a first taste of Zahara in full gospel mode as she seems to start connecting with her faith and leaving it all in the Lord Almighty’s capable hands following her prayer request in the previous cut.

Halfway through the album, Zahara switches it up with Systems and our girl shows that she is woke as she fights social injustices. Long story short, Zahara is a freedom fighter. It’s a stripped down acoustic guitar number – exquisitely simple and elegant.

Fresh off making her political statement, Zahara gives a throwback to Sophiatown with Ntak’encinane. The mid-tempo tune displays a more fun and dancey Zahara for the first time on the album. The feel-good song will have you snapping your fingers and kicking up your heels in euphoria.

Senzeni has a maskandi vibe to it and is the most intense song on the album. It’s a female empowerment chant dedicated to victims and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV). Bring out the tissues!

Nyamezela is a stand-out track and very radio-friendly. This is a song for everyone with a relatable and strong message of resilience and courage. No mountain is too high with God by your side. The beat is electric, making it a road-trip banger with your windows rolled down.

Forgiveness is what Zahara preaches in Izolo, another mid-tempo song. Zahara nudges that holding onto grudges is never good for anyone – forget the pain of yesterday and focus on the promises of today.

Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready to make love to the dance floor. Forever Yours is all the way up-tempo with a throbbing beat that demands that you lose your mind and morals. It says put me on repeat, full blast and sing along.

Zahara bows out with a message of hope for all the dreamers with Iphupho Lam. She was destined to be great, she is royalty and with God by her side she will continue on her trajectory to the top.

NESSA BARRETT — “i hope ur miserable until ur dead”

DEBUT PRETTY POISON EP ARRIVES ON SEPTEMBER 10

DELIVERS INTERNET-BREAKING SURPRISE PERFORMANCE AT LOLLAPALOOZA

Ready to make a major mark after gathering millions of streams and receiving widespread critical acclaim, rising singer-songwriter Nessa Barrett uncovers a new single and music video entitled “i hope ur miserable until ur dead” today. Listen to “i hope ur miserable until ur dead” HERE and watch the music video HERE.

Nessa delivers a Gen-Z grunge bop underlined by caustic guitars and a hypnotically spectral hook. Her voice teems with raw emotion as she lets everyone know exactly how she feels! In the accompanying video directed by the incomparable Hannah Lux Davis [Ariana Grande, Halsey], Nessa emerges from a television set Poltergeist-style in order to haunt a deserving ex with her undeniable presence (and totally stealable nineties prom goth looks).

Regarding the song, she said, “‘i hope ur miserable until ur dead’ is the anger you hold inside when people betray you—when people hurt you so bad and you unapologetically hope they get what they deserve.”

Most importantly, the song heralds the arrival of her debut pretty poison EP out September 10 on Warner Records. Pre-order pretty poison HERE. Illuminating the scope of her signature style, she leans into a lullaby melody on the darkly catchy “grave,” while “i wanna die” feels tailor-made for the closing credits of a classic nineties slasher flick. Her jazzy intonation adds raw emotion to “scare myself” as she admits, “Sometimes I even scare myself.” Over wobbling distortion on the title track “pretty poison,” she urges, “Say my name, say my name like you know it’s holy.”

Check out the full tracklisting below.

Nessa broke the internet last weekend when she joined jxdn for a surprise duet of “la di die” on the Main Stage at Lollapalooza. It immediately trended across social media, generating millions of impressions. Meanwhile, she continues to attract critical acclaim. Of her latest release “counting crimes,” Clash Music wrote, “The single itself showcases Barrett’s vocal power alongside a backdrop of guitar and piano overlaid with glitchy production.” In addition to plugs from the likes of UPSET Magazine and more, The Line of Best Fit hailed her as “On The Rise,” going on to rave, “She is the architect of her own, grunge-indebted netherworld, leaning into the pop-punk revival close enough to brush shoulders with it, and yet retaining an extraordinary sense of self that belies her eighteen years.”

Earlier this year, Nessa linked up with jxdn on “I’m Dead” as part of the Official Soundtrack for the new scripted podcast Prom In Hell, the four part horror-musical-comedy series which debuted as the #1 Apple Music Podcast in April. “I’m Dead” notably marks the second collaboration by Nessa and jxdn following their breakout hit “la di die,” produced by the legendary Travis Barker. The latter has already amassed over 200 million streams, cracked the Top 15 at alternative radio and reached #27 at top 40 radio. The duo made their late-night television debut performance with “la di die” on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and also performed on The Ellen Degeneres Show. The song has received widespread acclaim from MTV, Elite Daily, Buzzfeed Radio.com and Nylon declared, “As the last line of ‘la di die’ says: She’s gonna be a superstar.”

RUFUS DU SOL × ALIVE

RÜFÜS DU SOL Return With New Single ‘Alive’ Listen Here

North American 2021 Fall Tour Touching Down in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Houston and Dallas this November On the Back of 70,000 Tickets Sold for LA Banc of California Shows

RÜFÜS DU SOL have been quiet. Quietly looking inwards, quietly crafting a new world to explore with their fans, quietly relearning what it means to be Alive…

Today the band continues its legacy as global leaders of the live-electronic movement, releasing the first new music since their Grammy nominated 2018 ‘SOLACE’ album. “Alive,” out now on Rose Avenue and Reprise / Warner Records, is a transcendent take from a group that have built a career on defying expectations – listen HERE.

Premiered today on The Zane Lowe Show, “Alive” is adorned with haunting lyricism and inventive broken beat percussion, encapsulating the highs and lows of a lost but not forgotten year. RÜFÜS’ lead singer Tyrone calls out with a sense of urgent and naked emotion, these are intensely personal lyrics for him, yet they encapsulate the feelings many of us have endured the past year.

“Alive” is the initial taste of what the band’s reemergence sounds like; a retention of the darkness they have consistently explored, notably on ‘SOLACE,’ paired with a glistening energy aimed to uplift and uphold their dedication to wowing larger than life dance floors.

“Alive” begins to sculpt the first look into a new world for the band and their fans to cohabitate, a continuation of the exploration of place that defines the way they write and perform music. From their debut album recorded on the coast of Australia, onwards to the brooding ‘BLOOM’ written in the streets of techno mecca Berlin, to ‘SOLACE’s glimpse of the darker side of Los Angeles, the trio now push outwards, less bound by Geographical location, to the wider reaches of space and time.

In Tyrone Lindqvist of the band’s own words, It’s a heavier song in some ways, but at its core it’s hopeful. We are – all of us – living in this transitional moment right now and we wanted to focus on the hope that the future holds for us all. To focus on the light at the end of this tunnel.

This announcement comes alongside the reveal of the band’s North American Fall Tour, touching down at Las Vegas’ Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, Phoenix’s Arizona Federal Theatre, Dallas’ The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory and a to-be-announced venue in Houston.

RÜFÜS have already experienced an immense demand for their live return, selling 70,000 tickets in three days for their largest headlining shows to date at Los Angeles Banc of California Stadium. The on sale was a true barometer for just how deeply fans crave the sonic escapism RÜFÜS work to deliver at every show.  This banner moment joins two sold out nights at Red Rocks Amphitheater in August, and a bevy of headlining festival appearances already announced including Governors Ball, Austin City Limits, III Points and more. General tickets go on sale July 16th at 10am local time in each market – purchase tickets HERE.

ALICE LONGYU GAO REMIXES “MOVE IT TO THE SIDE”

John-Robert releases a new remix to stand out track “Move It To The Side” by Alice Longyu Gao, today via Warner Records. You can listen to the new remix HERE. You can watch the visualizer HERE.

A fan favorite, “Move It To The Side” was originally released earlier this year on John-Robert’s ‘Healthy Baby Boy, Pt 1’ EP. Alice’s “Softboy Dancing In the Klurb Flip” integrates elements of John-Robert’s alluring melancholy-melody with a jacked up tempo and her recognizable, exaggerated pop lyricism. The result is a track unique to Alice’s own personal and flamboyant style, as she serves up her second remixer credit to date. Alice’s new take on the track demonstrates her manifestation of a confident and care-free persona that doesn’t get wound up with anxieties and pressures of the modern dating scene and sees her flip the script on John-Robert’s original.

About the remix, John-Robert says, “As a musician it’s inspiring when you subconsciously have a formula for your writing process and then an artist comes along and breaks every one of those rules in a fresh and exciting way. I admire Alice because she’s a smart, self-assured badass, unapologetic with her production, lyrics, visuals, thoughts and art. I’m eternally grateful that she has blessed me with this version of ‘Move It To The Side.’”

Alice Longyu Gao adds, “I am usually the dumb bitch. It takes me a second to fancy someone and it takes me forever to stop trying to get them to like me. So I was really visioning myself being a bad gal in this remix—calling him the ‘emotional one,’ cuz I met a lot of heterosexual white bros who love to gaslight and guilt trip women, when in fact they are just too insecure to care. I am balling with my cash, having fun and ghost his text, visioning him being all upset. This remix is my revenge. I chopped John-Robert’s original vocals in a hard-core way so the remix shares a new perspective. Also, it won’t be an ‘Alice Longyu Gao’ piece of music if the beat doesn’t switch like 100 times. So yeah, this remix will drive you crazy on the dance floor.”

At age 16, John-Robert was invited out to Los Angeles by mega-producer Ricky Reed who’s described him as “a transcendent, once-in-a-generation singer and songwriter.” The now 20-year-old from Edinburg, VA who is signed to Reed’s Nice Life Recording Company and Warner Records continues to build-upon his budding musical career, most recently releasing his Healthy Baby Boy, Pt. 1 earlier this year. The songs on the EP illustrate real life coming of age stories and detail the challenges that come from leaving your support system in small town behind to chase your dreams. He’s collaborated with the likes of Alessia Cara, Zack Sekoff, Kathleen and Nate Merceau, and attracted industry praise from SPINAmerican SongwriterOnes To WatchIdolatorEARMILK and more.

As the only child from a conservative family, coming to America alone at the age of 17 was her chance, Alice Longyu Gao is a boundary pushing pop artist with a knack for making positive social change through her work. With co-signs from industry heavyweights like Lady Gaga, The Weeknd and Selena Gomez, as well as features in NME i-D, PAPER Magazine, Billboard, The FADER and V Magazine, Longyu Gao has gained recognition for her ability to blend hyper-energetic, avant-garde pop beats with interpretive, kaleidoscopic visuals. Beyond the music, Longyu Gao is a passionate activist for human rights with a longstanding track record of work supporting issues focusing on LGBTQ+ justice, eating disorder recovery, sustainability in fashion and food, and public-funded art education for underprivileged minority groups.

Teddy Swims x Unlearning

After inciting excitement with millions of streams and critical acclaim this month, ace Atlanta singer/songwriter Teddy Swims releases his debut Unlearning EP today via Warner Records.

To celebrate the EP’s arrival, he just shared the music video for the opening track “L.I.F.E.”  The visual shows yet another side of the vocal dynamo on this standout song, co-written by mega-songwriters Poo Bear (Justin Bieber, Usher) and John Ryan (Maroon 5, John Legend). Speaking to the tranquility of the airy production, he sings alone in the desert as if channeling his surroundings into waves of emotion in every hook. Two women dance against a cool blue sky as his voice rings out with the affirmation, “That’s just life…nobody said it would be easy.”

Teddy paved the way for the EP last month with “Bed On Fire” and the incendiary music video that stars Leila George from TNT’s “Animal Kingdom.” Meanwhile, American Songwriter described the visual as “arresting” and crowned Teddy a “soulful powerhouse.” Unlearning also includes recent fan favorites “Broke” (feat. Thomas Rhett) and “Til I Change Your Mind.”  Full tracklisting below.

About the project, Teddy commented, “I wanted to enter into the world with my first body of work knowing the songs were the best they could be. I felt like everything fit together in terms of what I wanted to say. The title perfectly encapsulates 2020! We’ve all had to do a little introspection, break some bad habits, and figure out who we are again. There are some things we took for granted that, thanks to this Pandemic, we had to really open our eyes and do some unlearning!”

This summer, Teddy will support GRAMMY Award-winning country rock leaders Zac Brown Band on The Comeback Tour across North America. He joins the bill on August 5 in Holmdel, NJ at PNC Bank Arts Center and performs on nine dates through August 29 in Cincinnati, OH at Riverbend Music Center.

Teddy recently appeared on A Little Later With Lilly Singh (watch HERE) and delivered his late-night television debut performance with “Bed On Fire” on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert (watch HERE). Teddy started out the year by being named a 2021 “Artist To Watch” by  Rolling Stone who praise “A boundaryless approach comes through in Dimsdale’s original songs, which blend elements of hip-hop, R&B, country, and classic soul.”  He also made his national television debut on The Kelly Clarkson Show with an unforgettable performance of his first release of the year “My Bad” (watch it HERE).

Belle Mt. – Famous Son

London-based alt-pop trio Belle Mt. lock into a heavy groove on their new single “Famous Son,” available HERE. The stirring track—about the perseverance it takes to chase your dreams—follows the band’s debut Warner Records EP, The Water, released last year. The band recently filmed a stunning live version of the track in London during lockdown. “Famous Son” features Matt Belmont on vocals & acoustic guitars, Chris Burgess on drums, Ben Worsley on electric guitars and Jamie Sierota on bass & keys.

On May 1, Belle Mt. will perform “live” in a unique 3D experience followed with an exclusive fan Meet & Greet via Microsoft’s Altspace VR brought to you by VadVim. This global event is free and does not require a VR Headset. The AltspaceVR platform supports 2D mode, which means you can see the event using a PC or MAC.

The driving instrumental of “Famous Son” offers a colorful canvas for singer/songwriter/guitarist Matt Belmont’s vivid meditation, recalling the advice he got as a teenager who had just started his first band. The song was also inspired by another bit of wisdom from his dad: the idea that “music’s great artists didn’t choose to be great—they just didn’t know how to do or be anything else.”

The younger Belmont returns to these sentiments when he feels lost walking the songwriter’s path. His father’s words pushed him to keep his head down, focusing on his dream of being a great musician while working odd jobs. “Famous Son” captures the collision of luck and hard work that created the breakthrough allowing Belmont to bust out of his comfort zone.

“‘Famous Son’ comes from that moment in the artist’s journey when you choose to really bet on yourself, to chase the dream in spite of all the risks and unpredictability,” Belmont says. “Its high energy is rooted in the constant back and forth between self-belief and imposter syndrome, and in that coiled, base-level anxiety that some of us feel so consistently we forget it’s even there. I don’t know how to do anything else or be anything else, so here goes.”

“Famous Son” finds Belle Mt. expanding on a sound they’ve been refining since 2017, when the trio released an acoustic version of the single “Hollow” on their independent debut Volume I EP. In the years since, the track took on a life of its own, earning critical acclaim, spots on beloved playlists like Spotify’s “New Music Friday,” and tens of millions of streams. In 2020, Belle Mt. signed with Warner Records and released a new version of “Hollow,” which Belmont described as an exploration of “love, loss, rebirth, and everything in between”—an apt summary of Belle Mt.’s overall ambitions.

About Belle Mt.

As Matt Belmont explains, Belle Mt. (pronounced bell-mont) is “an ever-evolving concept that can take on many forms.” At times, it can manifest as Belmont performing his most intimate songs solo, accompanied by sparse guitar or keys. In its current incarnation, Belle Mt. mostly performs as a trio, with a poignant alt-pop sound filled out by long-term collaborators Chris Burgess on drums/percussion and Ben Worsley on guitar, bass, and backing vocals. The band first emerged in late 2017 with their debut EP Volume I, captivating audiences worldwide with Matt Belmont’s emotive songwriting and heartfelt vocals. While their first single “Hollow (Acoustic)” claimed real estate on coveted playlists such as Spotify’s “New Music Friday,” the group performed at SXSW, British Summertime in Hyde Park, Eurosonic, and on the road with KALEO. After amassing multiple millions of streams globally, Belle Mt. inked a contract with Warner Records in 2020. More music to follow soon.

CMTEN - MUSIC BOX EP via Warner Records for use by 360 Magazine

CMTEN – MUSIC BOX

Bubbling up with a distinct and diverse sense of sonic alchemy, 19-year-old CMTEN unveils his anxiously awaited debut EP, MUSIC BOX, available today on Masked Records/Warner Records and features the track “angel (so bad),” which premiered earlier this week on Apple Music. Click HERE to stream MUSIC BOX EP.

This nine-song project ebbs and flows between manic electronic transmissions, warm piano, and simultaneously shuddering and soothing vocalizations moving in sync at full throttle towards 21st century pop oblivion. There are wide variations with each song in terms of content, style, and even genre. You get Nintendo-inspired songs and you also get punk. “angel (so bad)” pairs heavenly keys and warbling vocal delivery as he details romantic follies. Then, there’s “sorry I don’t get what you’re saying” where gorgeous piano underscores ponderous lyrics. Everything culminates on “walking to a place I’ve never been.” Acoustic guitar wraps around thumping bass as he cleverly decries, “Open up the spreadsheet, tally all my mistakes,” before one last hypnotic hook.

CMTEN explains: “Although MUSIC BOX is technically an EP, I see it more as a random collection of cool-ass music. The project consists of several songs that vary drastically in style, coming together to showcase every little thing that makes the creation of music so fulfilling to me. Whether a track is something emotional, experimental, or just straight-up fun, each has a special place in my heart. I’m constantly experimenting with different sounds, styles, and influences, so it only makes sense that my debut body of work reflects that. So, when it comes down to it, MUSIC BOX is all about the magic of making music just for the hell of it. I love these songs, and I hope you will, too.”

After racking up nearly 60 million total streams thus far and averaging 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, CMTEN set the stage for the EP with a series of fan favorites, including the title track “MUSIC BOX,” “BORED” and “ALONE” feat. RILEY THE MUSICIAN. Of the latter, Lyrical Lemonade raved, “These two use all the passionate and learned energy in their bodies to craft together a brief, yet impactful experience that not only proves these previously-mentioned ideas, but at the same time, an experience that stands out as a simply blissful pop offering by itself.” He also caps off the EP with his 2020 breakthrough single  “Never Met!” feat. Glitch Gum.

In the seventies, eighties, or nineties, this story might’ve started in a garage with a guitar…However, the genre-smashing artist, songwriter, producer/mixer, vocalist, and San Francisco Bay area native unassumingly turned his University of Utah dorm room into ground zero for Glitchcore in early 2020. Translating a passion for old school pop punk and the likes of 100 gecs, Porter Robinson and Soundcloud Rap into a sound of his own, he uploaded “NEVER MET!” and organically attracted a groundswell of support to the tune of 30 million total streams, 1 million-plus TikTok videos, and more.

John-Robert – Rock Back & Forth

MULTI-TALENTED ARTIST/PRODUCER JOHN-ROBERT SHARES NEW SONG “ROCK BACK & FORTH” – WATCH THE VISUAL HERE

HEALTHY BABY BOY, PART 1 ARRIVES APRIL 2

Renowned for clever storytelling in both his lyricism and videos, 20-year-old rising artist and producer John-Robert shares a new single entitled “Rock Back & Forth” today via Nice Life Recording Company / Warner Records. It’s the fourth track to be unveiled from his Healthy Baby Boy, Part 1 project, now set for release on April 2, 2021.  Listen to “Rock Back & Forth” HERE.  Pre-order/Pre-save Healthy Baby Boy, Part 1 HERE.

On Rock Back & Forth,” a smooth, clean guitar riff underscores his breathy verses before blossoming into a simmering hook, “They just don’t move like you move, they just don’t dance like you do. In the accompanying visual, he moves in a myriad of ways, attending an aerial physique teacher training session, pole dance workout, and even roller skating by the beach.  Watch it HERE.

About “Rock Back & Forth,” he explained, “I wrote this tune after watching Dirty Dancing with my previous partner. I adored how she was able to express herself through dance. I never felt comfortable dancing myself, but it was a joy to watch someone else be so liberated. ‘Rock Back & Forth’ was assurance for my partner. Even though there are other beautiful people in the world, what you love about your partner is their nuances, individuality, and unique style. I thought I would discover different forms of movement to see if it’d help with my own self-confidence. I hope other people can take courage if they’re as uncomfortable with dance as I am.”

The music of Healthy Baby Boy, Part 1 relays the artist’s coming-of-age, whisked out of obscurity in Edinburg, VA by mega-producer Ricky Reed and trading a town of 1,000 residents for Los Angeles, where the budding talent is now making a lifelong dream a reality.

Most recently, he unveiled “Damn Bean” with a Pulp Fiction-inspired music video. Prior, John-Robert dropped “USMO,” an acronym short for “You Should Move On” and set the stage for Healthy Baby Boy, Part 1 with the release of title track Healthy Baby Boy” last October. The autobiographical slice-of-life immediately attracted tastemaker praise by the likes of  SPIN, who raved, “On his latest single, ‘Healthy Baby Boy,’ John-Robert shows his depth as an emerging songwriter by his understanding of the poignancy of life,” and American Songwriter noted, “He pours his emotional angst directly into his new song, the charmingly nostalgic ‘Healthy Baby Boy.’  In The Know put it best, “John-Robert is a name you’ll want to know…a small-town baby boy who’s steadily rising to super stardom.”

At age 16, John-Robert was invited out to L.A. by Reed, who’s described him as “a transcendent, once-in-a-generation singer and songwriter.” Sure enough, John-Robert’s 2019 independent release “Adeline” has amassed over 3 million streams and garnered fans like Camila Cabello, who posted an Instagram story praising it. Last year, he recorded a breathtaking rendition of Fiona Apple’s “Criminal” for the Recording Academy’s® “ReImagined” video series. In May, he released his debut EP, Bailey Barely Knew Me, featuring “Adeline” and other standout tracks.

From making her own clothes and jewelry and dying her hair a spectrum of colors to directing short films and painting, Madeline the Person has found a litany of ways to show that there are no limits to expressing yourself. With the release of “As a Child,” she does just that, countering her optimistic exterior with a tender ballad that grapples with the crippling emotional weight of losing a parent at a young age.

She explains: “The difference in the way that I express my personality versus my music, I think that has to do with my belief in the fact that all emotions are equally important. With my music, I’m trying to normalize the sad and hard and really gross stuff and make it more acceptable and less scary, because to me, as a person, I am all of those things combined. I’m super sad and also really happy and joyful and grateful. I have a lot of emotions and I don’t like to boil it down to just a few. I like to show lots of facets at a time and sometimes, that creates a juxtaposition that I think makes it kind of cool.”

Madeline the Person already struck a chord on social media by being true to herself, showcasing her incredible talent across platforms and accruing a robust legion of devotees. Since launching her TikTok account in early 2020, she’s amassed nearly 300,000 followers and 5 million likes on the platform.   She first shared “As a Child” with fans on TikTok last year – the clip has over 1.1M views, 300K likes and more than 13K shares.  It also landed her in the DMs with some of pop’s new elite.

While music was at the forefront of Madeline’s upbringing, learning piano at the tender age of four & guitar shortly after, it was the loss of her father a few years ago that pushed her to write without holding back, to feel every feeling. In her journey through unimaginable grief, Madeline continued to flourish as a songwriter, unafraid to share every part of herself in her music, be it splashy and exuberant or contemplative and sad.

Following her debut with “As a Child,” Madeline the Person will guide us through her human experience in a series of musical chapters disguised as EPs set to release through 2021, the first of which will arrive next month.  It’s page one in the story of Madeline the Person, who already shines as bright as the future that lies ahead.
