Aitch New Album "Close To Home" Cover Art via U Music Group for use by 360 MAGAZINE

AITCH – CLOSE TO HOME

Today, Platinum-selling 22-year-old Manchester rapper Aitch releases his debut album, Close To Home. Listen HERE via Capitol Records / 10K Projects. To celebrate this milestone moment, Aitch reveals the heart-warming video for My G featuring Ed Sheeran. Watch HERE.

Displaying a more mature, reflective, and personal side of Aitch‘s songwriting, My G is a loving tribute from the Manchester rapper to his 12-year-old little sister, affectionately called G, who has Down’s Syndrome. Paired with a music video directed by long-term visual collaborator Kelvin Jones, the visual was filmed at The Langdon Down Centre and features a moving performance from Aitch, as he reminisces viewing old childhood and family photos over a soothing silhouette of Ed Sheeran.

Setting the scene with BelgraveRoad_1Close To Home showcases Aitch‘s remarkable journey within hip-hop. Fuego, Cheque and Louis Vuitton are blessed with the rapper’s trademark lyricism and cheeky suave. He reunites with AJ Tracey on R Kid, while laidback summery bop Sunshine featuring New Machine embraces a new tangent of melodic guitar riffs.

The album’s title track Close To Home, which features a children’s choir, sees Aitch up close and personal, putting his private thoughts on paper for the first time. In Disguise featuring Bakar, the Shaun Ryder-assisted and Stone Roses-sampling 1989 and platinum-selling #2 Fred again. produced hit Baby featuring R&B icon Ashanti. In fact, Ashanti and Aitch performed Baby together during BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2022. Watch the performance here.

When speaking about his album’s title, Aitch says: As much as I say that I’m trying to get out of the ends, and I want to go elsewhere, I always end up back in the same place. Even across the other side of the world, I feel like I bring a sense of Manchester; whether I’m in London or Australia, I’m still Close To Home.

Taking Close To Home on the road for the first time, Aitch will kick off a sold-out headline in the UK followed by a run in the rest of Europe early next year. On the performance front, recently Aitch was brought out as a special guest during Jack Harlow’s set at the 2022 Wireless Festival.

At only 22-years-old, the BRIT Award nominated artist is on the verge of a global breakout with Close To Home. His debut album showcases his ever-growing songwriting skills. Combining a mature and reflective side with the confident charisma he’s known for, Close To Home is a modern spin paying homage to the lineage of Manchester’s musical history, pairing rich and identifiably local flavor with global ambition. Already under his belt Aitch retains over a billion streams, over 5 million records sold worldwide, millions of followers, and co-signs from the likes of Tay Keith, Sam Smith, Skeptaand more.

LIGHTNING SEEDS – WALK

After being welcomed back with open arms, Lightning Seeds continue their trajectory with the release of brand new track ‘Walk Another Mile’ – taken from their new album See You In The Stars, their first on new label BMG – out October 14th. Listen HERE.

A sun-soaked, bouncing singalong, ‘Walk Another Mile’ is a juxtaposition, seeing Ian Broudie tackling subject matters a little darker.

“It’s about two imaginary people arguing about the end of a relationship and blaming each other,” he explains. “I had that thought and was thinking about endings. I was listening to a lot of Northern Soul, and the little vignettes you can get in those songs. I love writers who can do that, write stories – Squeeze, The Kinks, Eminem. I always start off doing that, but end up nowhere near it, so this song is the closest I’m going to get to that.”

This intoxicating 10 track collection is tunefully, emotionally, uplifting and kick started the summer with the feel good warmth of first track ‘Sunshine’ – listen HERE. One of the album highlights, ‘Emily Smiles,’ was co-written with Specials man Terry Hall, whom Ian wrote Jollification’s ‘Lucky You.’

All songs on this ten track opus were written and recorded in short bursts over the last three years. The first two songs recorded were a pair written with the Coral’s James Skelly: ‘Great To Be Alive’ and ‘Live To Love You’.

“I always think music’s like attack and defense in football –or like politics – or like life. It’s about balance,” Broudie says. “And achieving that is the challenge for me.”

In 33 years as a recording artist, the man who is Lightning Seeds has sold a lot of records. Those include a million copies of Jollification, the 1994 album whose platinum-tipped success was spearheaded by era-capturing hit single “Change,” and which Broudie recently celebrated with a sold-out, 25th anniversary tour.

Broudie composed “Three Lions” as the official England song for Euro ’96. With lyrics by comedians David Baddiel and Frank Skinner, the song hit Number One and became a genuinely era-defining anthem – and one with a remarkable afterlife, as it regained the top slot two years later, during the 1998 World Cup in France. It was everywhere during last summer’s Euros, too, wasn’t it? Football didn’t quite come home (again), but one of the Nineties greatest songs did.

Much like the sound of Ian’s voice, like an old friend coming back into your life.

The band will also embark on a 14 date UK tour later this year kicking off October 27th in Cambridge and finishing November 26th in Sheffield. They play London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire November 4th. Tickets are available HERE.

Discover Puerto Rico × Pantone

Boriqua Interior Designer Cristina Villalón curates tips on how to best incorporate the color Puerto Rico Sunshine into a space. This fiery red-orange color created by Pantone is a combination of the sunbeams that grace the island throughout the day, refined by a physicist and professor at the University of Puerto Rico. Villalón, a leading designer in Puerto Rico with projects all over the Americas is the ideal eye to recommend how to integrate Puerto Rico Sunshine into any room or décor.

According to Villalón, orange is a dynamic color. It should be used to add energy to a room and make a space come alive. Thus, if you reside in a cold place, adding an orange wall will automatically add warmth and ebullience to the space.

Puerto Rico Sunshine alongside neutral tones such as gray have a neutralizing effect to tone down the brightness. For full island-vibes, blues also complement orange beautifully and make the perfect combination in a vibrant beach house or beachy themed room. It is recommended to use only one vivid color, like Puerto Rico Sunshine, in any given space. Using a neutral palette and natural textures, then adding pops of this bold orange in accessories makes for a soothing yet cheerful space. Painting an entire room a strong, overwhelming color can be a bit too much for most interior design tastes. Villalón recommends painting one wall in a room the brighter, statement-making color, and the rest a more neutral tone. Not only will the accent wall stand out and become a focal point, but it won’t overpower the rest of the décor elements and make you want to run out of the room! Other trends include incorporating accent colors in a wall mural. A wall mural permits you to incorporate as much or as little of an accent color as you would like, and you can also add texture and visual interest with the pattern or design you choose.

A great way to offer cohesion to the room is to paint only one wall an orange, like Puerto Rico Sunshine, and then repeat the color via furniture pieces or accessories. Some of these ways include adding color to the entryway of your home, updating older furniture, framing a mirror, or even making your own artwork. The eye-catching possibilities are as endless as the sun’s rays. Color is an extremely powerful force and too much of anyone can leave a room or space unbalanced. Yet the right amount can invigorate a home and its visitors!

Cristina Villalón is the Co-founder, Principal Interior Designer and the Director of Álvarez-Díaz & Villalón® | Architecture & Interior Design. Recognized for her attractive, welcoming, and functional interior designs, Villalón was awarded in 2015 with the Star on the Rise Award from the Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA). In 2016, Cristina was named among the Top 40 Under 40 by the magazine Design: Retail and that same year, Caribbean Business awarded her the same distinction. Villalón is a proud mother of three beautiful daughters, a recycling activist and gender equality, an insatiable reader and a lifelong learner.

How to Start an Indoor Garden

You might think you need acreage to have a garden plot. Nonsense — if you have sunshine in your apartment, you can start an indoor version.

Container growing offers unparalleled convenience. You don’t have to slog through the weather to tend your crops — you can do so from the comfort of your climate-controlled abode. Here are five tips on starting an indoor garden that will have you making fresh tomato sauce and passing out blooms to all your friends in no time.

1.    Get Your Water Tested

Plants have a lot in common with animals. Both require a place to live, grow and reproduce safely from the worst of the elements. They also need food and water. This final necessity might do more to influence the health of your indoor plants than any other. However, it’s a factor many novice gardeners overlook until they find themselves wondering why their spider plant fails to thrive.

The first thing to determine is whether your water comes from a well or a municipal water supply. One advantage of the former is that your liquid remains free of sanitizing agents as it comes up from an underground source. Elements like chlorine, chloramine and fluoride can slow the growth of your plants and impact the flowering cycle.

However, that doesn’t mean you’re out of the woods if you have a well. Such groundwater sources often have high levels of arsenic, lead and sulfur contamination. Additionally, the water might be rather hard, containing magnesium and calcium. These minerals are responsible for accumulating on plumbing surfaces, causing clogs.

The first water quality you must determine is your pH level. This scale measures how basic or acidic your water is. An overly alkaline pH can lead to mineral loss in your soil and poor harvests from your indoor garden crops.

Your water also contains beneficial bacteria, unless it comes from an overly clean municipal source. This riddance inhibits the processing of organic compounds for plant availability. You might have better luck harvesting rainwater to use for your plants — doing so also cuts down on waste. Before doing so, ensure you’re legally allowed to use a barrel in your jurisdiction. Some places restrict collection out of fear of providing breeding grounds for mosquitos.

Understanding your water quality starts by reading your bill. Your municipality should publish a quality report you can access. You can also purchase PPM meters, although they won’t tell you the precise mineral content of your water. For the best results, you should refer a sample to a lab for testing.

2.    Choose the Right Location

You might end up with more than one indoor garden — and that’s perfectly OK. Different species have varying needs for sunlight. Your golden pothos may adore hanging by a sunny window, but your primroses have another preference. Honor it if you want the best results.

Discovering your various plants’ penchant for light or shade is as simple as reading the instructions that come with most varieties. The internet is also a glorious resource for all things horticulture. You can even find plant identifier apps that will diagnose possible diseases and recommend the best course of treatment.

Your kitchen windowsill is the ideal place for a herb garden. You might not need to travel beyond your grocery store for supplies. Many fresh soft herbs will sprout in water, allowing you to keep them going that way or plant them in soil for improved longevity.

Don’t overlook your bedroom as a location for shade-loving plants. In the 1980s, NASA studied houseplants to see if they could provide sufficient oxygen for supporting life in space. They discovered that these herbal wonders also scrub toxins like formaldehyde from indoor air — meaning you might breathe more comfortably at night, especially if you’re sensitive to allergens.

3.    Select the Perfect Pots

Your plants are beautiful, and much like the right outfit can accentuate your natural beauty, the correct pot can showcase your collection in style. Will you mix and match or go for a monochrome look? You have several options.

You’ll find that plastic planters are the most affordable and lightweight option. You can carry a stack of them home from the store without ever breaking a sweat. However, this material may fade in sunlight and attract and store heat, leading to premature wilting of your plants. You may also need to replace them after a couple of seasons, particularly if you use them in sunny locations.

Clay pots and planters offer superior longevity and can also help you if you’re a novice gardener. This substance controls moisture levels, keeping your plant roots from suffering rot if you accidentally go a bit too heavy with the watering can.

Disadvantages of clay pots include the cost, weight and size. They may also break if you drop them. However, they’re your best long-lasting and eco-friendly bet for an indoor garden that grows season after season.

4.    Invest in Beginner-Friendly Plants

Your plant choices partially determine your indoor garden’s success. For example, you probably don’t want to start with orchids if you’re new to horticulture. These plants look elegant but have a longstanding reputation for being finicky about their treatment.

Golden pothos is an ideal starter plant for sunny locations. Succulents also make easy-to-care-for choices for lining the brightest windowsills of your home. Bamboo and peace lily plants work well in darker bedroom areas, as they prefer the shade.

5.    Keep Your Hobby Going on the Cheap

Once you establish your indoor garden, it’s relatively simple and inexpensive to add to it using materials you already have. One way to do so is by propagating live herbs from cuttings. Soft-stemmed herbs such as basil and oregano require little more than water, although you can buy liquids to encourage root growth. Woody-stemmed herbs take a little more prompting, although you can still use this technique by cutting stems from newer growth that hasn’t hardened yet.

You can also amass a bumper crop of the vegetables you use most often in the kitchen. It’s simple to save the seeds from plants like peppers and tomatoes, dry them and use them to start new seedlings. You won’t even have to drive to the farmers market once you establish your indoor garden on your balcony.

Start an Indoor Garden

You don’t need acreage to enjoy growing things. Use the five tips above to start an indoor garden that fills your home with joy.

Into The Mystery was announced last month alongside the release of the album’s lead single and title track. Earlier this month, the band unveiled the album’s opening track “What I’m Here ForInto The Mystery’s early songs have received praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, People, American Songwriter, and more. Out of this de facto creative hub and “extended summer camp,” they handcrafted an album reflective of the moment, yet independent of all expectations, even their own. For as intimate as the story may seem, they filmed every minute of it for an upcoming documentary entitled, Into The Mystery. Watch a teaser for the film here.

The past 12 months represent one of the most prolific periods in the band’s career thus far. They recently unveiled Live from the Woods Vol. 2, a live album recorded during three sold out, socially distanced outdoor concerts at Pelham, TN’s famed The Caverns. The band previewed the album with a performance of “Alive” on CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden. Meanwhile, Out of Body debuted in the top 5 across three Billboard charts, and received critical acclaim from Billboard, Spin, Southern Living, American Songwriter, Taste of Country, and more.

Since 1998, NEEDTOBREATHE have quietly emerged as a dynamic force in rock music, topping the charts, selling out historic venues, and generating hundreds of millions of streams to date. The band has gathered one platinum single, four gold singles, and a gold album. Along the way, “Multiplied” notched their first GRAMMY® nomination. Simultaneously, they performed to sold out crowds at arenas and amphitheaters coast to coast. In addition to garnering two nods at the Billboard Music Awards, they’ve attracted acclaim from People, Rolling Stone, Forbes, and many more. In 2020, they sowed the seeds for rebirth with Out of Body. It bowed in the Top 5 of three Billboard charts and reeled in acclaim. Within weeks of its release, the quintet, Bear Rinehart [vocals, guitar], Seth Bolt [bass, vocals], Josh Lovelace [keys, vocals], Randall Harris [drums], and Tyler Burkum [guitar], stole away to an old historic house in Columbia, TN where they lived together, ate together, laughed together, and recorded together for three weeks in the fall of 2020. They returned home with their eighth album and documentary Into The Mystery [Elektra Records]. It’s the kind of record that could only be made by a band who has been through it all and still has enough faith to keep encouraging one another. It’s NEEDTOBREATHE.

All Time Low × Wine That Rocks

All Time Low launches new “Summer Daze Rosé” in partnership with Wines That Rock in honor of their new album, Wake Up, Sunshine

Platinum-selling band All Time Low have unveiled Summer Daze Rosé, their third wine release in partnership with Wines That Rock. Summer Daze Rosé will be available beginning June 30th exclusively from All Time Low’s Everything Is Wine webstore here. Sharing its name with “Summer Daze (Seasons, Pt. 2)” from the group’s latest chart-topping album, Wake Up, Sunshine.

The rosé stands out as a fresh and crisp wine accented by zinfandel grapes with a bright floral nose, notes of fresh strawberries, and melon complete with a light acidic finish. This harmonious (and loud) marriage of flavors leaves a lasting taste of cotton candy, cherry, and a faint citrus finish meant to be enjoyed chilled as the ultimate summer refreshment.

Singer Alex Gaskarth commented, “All roads lead to this: a foray into the endless summer, celebrated here in a refreshing rosé that we’ve been contemplating and anticipating since we first ventured into the wine space. We’re very excited about this one!”

All Time Low continue to make waves in the beverage category, adding another dimension to their connection with audiences. Last June, they initially joined forces with Wines That Rock and E2 Winery for a limited-edition Cabernet Sauvignon Everything Is Wine, a nod to their song “Everything Is Fine.” It sold out within an hour, leading to a waitlist of 4000-plus fans. Wine Spectator enthused, “We can get behind the sentiment.” On Black Friday 2019, the band unveiled a holiday two-pack, including both the re-release of the sold out Cabernet Sauvignon and a new Sauvignon Blanc. Additionally, All Time Low collaborated with RISE Brewing Co. for their very own Wake Up, Sunshine Nitro Cold Brew around the launch of their latest record.

About All Time Low

Throughout a catalog streamed nearly half-a-billion times and highlighted by two gold albums, two gold singles, and a platinum single, All Time Low have continually raised the bar for both pop and punk. Since 2003, the group has notched five straight Top 10 entries on the Billboard Top 200, spanning the gold-certified Nothing Personal [2009], Dirty Work [2011], Future Hearts [2015], and Last Young Renegade [2017]. The latter attracted tastemaker acclaim from the likes of Rolling Stone, Paste, and more as the band canvased the world, headlining arenas on three continents. 2019 saw All Time Low celebrate Nothing Personal with a string of sold-out anniversary shows and a documentary following the band as they revisited the album at RedBull Studios. The record’s influence remains prevalent with Rock Sound citing its impact on Fall Out Boy, 5 Seconds of Summer, and more. After nearly two decades together, All Time Low have rekindled the spark they first ignited in a Baltimore basement on their 2020 full-length studio album, Wake Up, Sunshine. These four lifelong friends walked into a tiny room, plugged in, and turned up with the same spirit, but with more experience, and proficiency gained from performing to millions worldwide. As a result, they‘ve delivered Wake Up, Sunshine, a captivating body of work at the apex of pop punk prowess.
