EBENEZER x COL3TRANE x STATS

Ebenezer releases visual for “Stats” featuring Col3trane, lifted from debut EP Bad Romantic. The video premiered earlier today via Complex UK, the video sees Ebenezer and Col3trane drenched in moody lighting weaving through secret corridors and London backdrops as the song unfolds.

Watch HERE.

“My good friend Dir.Lx and I had so much fun making this. Can’t wait for you to hear more of what’s to come,” speaks Ebenezer.

Bad Romantic grips you from first listen and is a project that warrants multiple playbacks, truly showcasing his own signature UK rap aesthetic. An ode to real romance, the EP jumps from energetic deeper trap sounds on tracks like “Till I Die” and “Catch Feelings” and transitions to slower vibes with more emotive tracks like “South of France” and “Nostalgia,” overall rounding this project off as a stunning first EP from Ebenezer.

In a few short years Ebenezer has worked with the likes of Rejjie SnowJeremihTy Dolla $ign and Craig David. With a string of successful tracks released last year such as “F**K IT,” “Survival” and “Cliché,” Ebenezer is carving his own unique path – one of emotionally tinged R&B with hints of trap, completely void of the usual pretence that’s flooded the genre. In a way, it could be described as conscious turn-up music, but without a holier than thou message. The project sets Ebenezer apart from everyone else, as someone from London with a story to tell.

Born in Homerton, Ebenezer spent most of his childhood at a cousin’s house in Hackney along with his brother and sister. While his mother was busy holding down three jobs, Ebenezer and his brother spent most of their free time listening to music, watching MTV Base and learning to produce.

JAGUAR I-PACE × ANSEL ELGORT

Ansel Elgort Tests ‘Baby Driver’ Skills in Jaguar’s Electric I-PACE

All-new Jaguar I-PACE set to make North American debut at the New York Auto Show

Hollywood actor Ansel Elgort has put his driving skills to the test behind the wheel of the all-electric I-PACE to take-on the Jaguar Smart Cone Challenge.

Proving his driving skill was more than a camera trick, the Baby Driver star got a taste of the all-wheel drive agility and instant torque of Jaguar’s first electric vehicle (EV).

Filmed at Seret Studios in Brooklyn, ahead of the I-PACE’s North American debut at the New York International Auto Show (30 March to 8 April), the industrial, dock-side location was the ideal place to demonstrate the speed and flexibility of the performance SUV.

For his role in Baby Driver, as a highly skilled heist getaway driver, Ansel was taught by some of the best stunt drivers in Hollywood and performed a number of stunts himself making him the perfect choice for the Jaguar Smart Cone challenge.

Ansel said:

“In Baby Driver I did approximately five of the stunts myself, mainly the ones where people weren’t in the car with me so I learned a lot of tricks on set. This challenge was completely different, it looked simple at first but once you’re out there it’s hard to anticipate where to go next. I’ve driven a lot of fast cars on set but the speed of the I-PACE really took me by surprise, it took off as soon as I hit the pedal which made the whole challenge more interesting. I could have driven on there all day trying to beat my own times!”

The Smart Cone course, likened to the sports agility training game Batak, uses wireless technology to randomly illuminate pairs of cones to set out a different route each time. With millions of different potential options taking place in real time, the technology provides a unique test of driving skill, precision and reactions.

Ansel follows in the footsteps of fellow actor Nicholas Hoult and Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean, who have previously taken on the twists and turns of the Smart Cone Challenge in the Jaguar XF AWD R-Sport and XF, respectively.

ROLLS-ROYCE WRAITH LUMINARY

· Limited Collection of 55 unique Rolls-Royce motor cars

· First ever shooting star headliner

· World debut of illuminated wooden paneling

· Stainless steel hand-woven fabric incorporated into cabin

· Global debut of Sunburst Grey paint. Solid grey with rich copper tone

Oxford English Dictionary definition Luminary: 1) A person who inspires or influences others, especially one prominent in a particular sphere. 2) A natural light-giving body, especially the sun or moon.

In a bold expression of dynamic luxury, Rolls-Royce unveils the Wraith Luminary Collection. Inspired by those who lead where others follow, the Wraith Luminary Collection will light the way for the luxury trailblazer.

In response to an ongoing global demand for Rolls-Royce Collection Cars, the marque has created a Limited Collection of just 55 of these spectacular Wraiths. These motor cars join the highly exclusive ranks of collectible Bespoke masterpieces, envisioned by the Rolls-Royce Bespoke design team and collected by Patrons of true luxury all over the world.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, commented, “Wraith Luminary is a stunning Collection Car. It speaks directly of our contemporary Rolls-Royce brand – progressive and trailblazing; the pinnacle in hand-crafted luxury. This is a motor car that celebrates visionaries who achieve eminence in their respective fields. Indeed, this collection is for the world’s luminaries.”

The heady shade of the golden hour’s sunrays inspire this newly developed exterior paint, Sunburst Grey. One is met by a flat grey that enlivens when awoken by the sun, rich copper tones, emitting a deep emotive warmth. Further intrigue is added by a hand-painted Sunburst Motif coachline, hand-painted Wake Channel Lines on Wraith’s bonnet and pinstripes applied to the wheel centers, each in Saddlery Tan, bearing reference to the color scheme of the interior leather.

Energy courses through this highly charged edition of Wraith. On opening the coach doors, one is met by a statement of modern luxury, as light flows from the front into the rear passenger compartment. The Collection’s defining feature, Tudor Oak wood, sourced from the forests of the Czech Republic, selected for its depth of color and the density of the grain structure, is for the first time, illuminated. The light of 176 LEDs permeates through an intricately perforated design in the unique Tudor Oak veneer, allowing a mesmerizing pattern, reminiscent of the trailing light of a shooting star, to luminesce at the touch of a button. Linked to the controls of the starlight headliner, the cabin’s veneer surrounds Wraith’s occupants in an ambient glow of light.

Speaking of shooting stars, the Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective, a talented group of engineers, designers and craftspeople located at the Home of Rolls-Royce in Goodwood, West Sussex, have brought further theatre to the cabin of Luminary in the form of brilliant shooting stars. The prized Rolls-Royce starlight headliner, a handwoven configuration of 1340 fiber optic lights which act as a glittering night sky, takes a bold new step as it incorporates shooting stars into the constellation; a playful display of light that creates wonderment and awe for the car’s passengers.

Taking nearly 20 hours to configure, eight shooting stars fire at random, predominantly over the front seats, in recognition of Wraith’s owner-driver appeal.

Wraith Luminary’s cockpit is trimmed in Saddlery Tan, though the rear seats contrast in Anthracite leather, thus highlighting the prominence of the driver’s position. Contrast piping and stitching masterfully marry the front aesthetic to the rear. Alternatively, a more dramatic contrast can be selected by specifying Seashell colored leather in the rear, both of which will be perfectly coalesced by the inclusion of a two-tone steering wheel.

The Rolls-Royce Bespoke Collective continually seeks inspiration from external trends and influences. In a progressive step, the application of hand-woven stainless steel fabric, a highly contemporary and innovative new technique in luxury craft, is appointed to the central transmission tunnel and door panniers, contrasting the Tudor Oak wood and Saddlery Tan leather.

Incorporating strands which are 0.08mm – 0.19mm in diameter, this technical fiber is woven in a pattern oriented at precisely 45 degrees, to complement the lines of the interior and provide a uniform appearance throughout the passenger compartment when viewed from either side. Taking three days to produce in a ‘clean room’ environment, the fabric is manipulated to cloak the center console, modified from use in an industrial environment to create a finish befitting the interior of a Rolls-Royce motor car, refracting the light of the unique illuminated paneling in the doors.

As a final touch, the car’s tread plates bear the provenance of this unique collection. ‘WRAITH LUMINARY COLLECTION – ONE OF FIFTY-FIVE’ is engraved in hand-polished stainless steel.

Since its incarnation, Wraith has long attracted the patronage of visionaries – drawn to the intoxicating promise of near unlimited power and it’s hauntingly rakish fast-back design, the ultimate gentleman’s tourer. The remarkable success of Wraith in attracting a new generation of drivers to the marque is reflected in this distinctive motor car’s masterfully incorporated, innovative expressions of pure luxury.

Rolls-Royce is Bespoke.

Western River Expeditions

Some of the best whitewater in North America froths deep within the canyons of Arizona and Utah on the Colorado and Green Rivers. People hopeful of river rafting here in the 2018 season are advised that the Grand Canyon portion of the river is nearly sold out for the season with space beginning to fill for 2019 trips as well.

However, comparable adventure options on the water and on land are still available if you follow the Colorado River north into Utah.

When active travelers seek experiences similar to the Grand Canyon that also combine spectacular scenery with wild white water, veteran tour operator Western River Expeditions suggests that a Cataract Canyon raft trip is as rewarding and remarkable in its own way.

“Utah’s Cataract Canyon, deep within Canyonlands National Park, is near enough in scale, appearance and proximity to Grand Canyon that it works the same kind of magic found in the Grand herself. Just one canyon upstream, above Lake Powell on the Colorado River System is hands down the best alternative to a Grand Canyon rafting vacation,” said Brandon Lake, CMO of Western River Expeditions.

Cataract Canyon begins downstream from Moab, UT at the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers. Expanded in size and now fortified by the waters of the Green, the Colorado River carves a deep chasm through the red rock heart of Canyonlands National Park. During spring runoff, the ride can rival the most legendary whitewater anywhere in the world. The remainder of the year river rafters are treated to fun Class III-IV rapids interspersed with calm stretches ideal for a swim under spellbinding canyon walls and geologic formations. Ample time is allotted for side canyon hikes and exploration of ancient Native American sites. The adventure ends with a scenic flight over Canyonlands on the return to Moab’s Canyonlands Field Airport.

Western’s Cataract Canyon 4-day trip offers departures in May, June, July and August. A per person double rate for adults (ages 16+) is $1,520; and $1,130 for ages 10-15. The rate includes equipment and guides for rafting, hiking and camping, plus guide-prepared meals, transfers from Moab to the river and the return scenic flight over Canyonlands National Park and shuttle to Moab. A two-day program on this stretch of the river is also offered in May, June and July. See Western’s Cataract Canyon Express, http://www.westernriver.com/cataract-canyon-express.

Also on the Colorado River north of the Grand Canyon Western River Expeditions offers a four-day Westwater Canyon Rafting & Multisport Adventure combining rafting on Class III-V whitewater plus a Hummer Safari off-road adventure. Guests return evenings to Red Cliffs Lodge on the banks of the Colorado River for overnights and breakfasts. Westwater Canyon was named “The West’s Best Short Whitewater Trip” by National Geographic. This program is available June through September at $695 per adult (age 13+) and $670 for age 12 (minimum required).

Full and half-day rafting programs on the Colorado River out of Moab are also available from Western’s affiliate, the Moab Adventure Center. See: http://www.moabadventurecenter.com/moab-river-rafting

Looking further north on the Utah’s Green River, families will discover five days of rafting through Desolation Canyon featuring 60 playful rapids and captivating off-river hiking.  After a spectacular scenic flight from Moab to a dramatic desert plateau, the adventure begins through 40 million years of geological time. Think outlaw hideouts, ancient dinosaur habitats and Fremont Native American petroglyphs. The minimum age for this trip is 5, making it ideal for young families. The rate for adults (16+) is $1,645 and $1,025 for ages 5-15. Departures are May through August. See: http://www.westernriver.com/desolation-canyon.

Western’s vacation consultants also suggest adding extra time in the area to explore the many national and state parks nearby. Guided adventures out of Moab, Utah, the undisputed adventure capital of the West encompass activities like rappelling, canyoneering, biking, hiking, flightseeing, and four-wheeling the surrounding landscape. Circle V Ranch Camp

David Fields, Executive Director of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Los Angeles, operators of the Circle V Ranch Camp announced, “We are continuing to rebuild after the Whittier wildfire that burned through our camp and surrounding areas on July 8, 2017. We regret that we will not be offering 2018 summer camp sessions for more than 1.000 children from throughout Southern California. Our strong goal is to reopen in 2019.”

Circle V Ranch Camp Director Ray Lopez shared, “Our staff and volunteers are sad that Circle V is not quite ready yet to welcome back campers for our summer 2018 sessions. We are continuing to work with our rebuilding crews and look forward to opening as soon as we can in 2019. We thank everyone for their continued patience and support!”

The Whittier wildfire began on July 8, 2017, burning throughout Circle V Ranch Camp and surrounding areas. All 88 campers and 36 staff members in residence at the time were safely evacuated by heroic first responders, staff and volunteers. Circle V’s Craft Lodge and Health Lodge cabins burned to the ground, and the water treatment facility and pipes were seriously damaged. With no water, all remaining 2017 summer camp sessions were cancelled for 1,000 campers ages 7-17; and group retreat rentals were canceled until further notice. Circle V is in the process of rebuilding with a goal of reopening in 2019; donations are needed and welcomed at http://svdpla.org/donate/rebuild-camp/

Jesse Mccartney Returns

Critically acclaimed, pop musician, JesseMcCartney is thrilled to unveil his new music video for his new song, “Better With You”. CLICK HERE to watch exclusively on Paper Magazine. The video was directly by Jo Roy and features Danielle Campbell (from the CW’s TV Show, The Originals).

McCartney says, “This is about that person who helps keep the divisive negativity in the world in perspective. The one who loves you no matter what.”

“Better With You” is McCartney’s first new music since his well-received 2014 album In Technicolor. The acoustic-guitar-driven pop song was co written with Brandyn Burnette, Molly Moore, and producer Rob Knox (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna).

“Better With You” will be available on all streaming platforms on March 23.

The New York-born singer songwriter, producer and actor has had the kind of career that most young artists aspire to. Since the beginning, McCartney has attracted a diehard fan base thanks to many things: his rhythmic, R&B-tinged pop-rock sound, his self-deprecating humor expressed through interviews and on social media, and his ability to write heartfelt, relatable songs that are both personal and universal. His upcoming music is no different. With multiple platinum-selling tracks and a songwriting credit on Leona Lewis’ “Bleeding Love” under his belt McCartney is ready to introduce his fans to who he is today. He plans to release more music throughout 2018 and bring his dedicated fans along for the ride.
