“Trousdale blends elements of Americana with sleek pop” – CMT

Fast-rising indie-folk trio Trousdale have released the music video for their latest single, “This Is It,” which urges listeners to stop, take a breath and recognize happiness in the moment. You can click HERE to watch the Nina Kramer directed and produced video, and you can click HERE to check out CMT’s premiere of the video, where Trousdale discusses the motivation behind an all-female crew for the shoot.

Their desire to empower young women and spread a universal message of love and self-acceptance can be found rooted in both the message and the video for “This Is It.”

Capturing the friendship behind Trousdale, the music video “shows our goofy, fun-loving side. It is somewhat of the antithesis of our last EP, Look Around. We’ve previously released songs that focus on heartbreak and loss. Alternatively, this song was born out of a genuinely fun night drinking and laughing at our favorite bar. With the song and video, we aim to highlight the importance of savoring the simple joys in life, because they so often go unnoticed.”

The infectious optimism and enthusiasm of “This Is It” has resonated with both media and fans. Spotify and Apple championed the single with adds to multiple key playlists including Fresh Finds County, Next Gen Singer-Songwriters, and Country Risers while indie mainstay Consequence featured the friendship anthem in their weekly New Sounds round up and The Honey Pop proclaimed “‘This Is It’ is magical and we had to stan.”

Blending unflinching vocals and raw, transparent storytelling that mirrors their real-world vitality, Trousdale has developed a devoted and engaged community on TikTok and other corners of the internet with “This Is It” mirroring the success of their previous releases. Their fanbase, along with supporters like the Jonas Brothers, Dan and Shay, John Mayer, Jensen McRae and Betty Who, have propelled the trio’s self-produced single “Wouldn’t Come Back” to over 2 million streams and their cover of “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” by The Beach Boys to over 1 million streams.

Trousdale has garnered comparisons to Kacey Musgraves, The Chicks and HAIM, and prompted A1234 to compare their passionate lyrics and evocative storytelling to icons like Taylor Swift and her latest critically acclaimed albums Folklore and Evermore. Additionally, their singles “Better Off” and “Happy Anymore” along with “Wouldn’t Come Back” from their debut EP Look Around led to The Radar Station naming them the #1 Emerging Global Roots Artist and the #7 Emerging Global Artist, while landing on some of Apple Music and Spotify’s top Americana, Folk, Singer-Songwriter and Mood playlists including Roots Rising, Women of Folk, and Infinite Indie Folk.

ALEC BENJAMIN TOUR × VIDEO – THE WAY YOU FELT

Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Alec Benjamin has unveiled an official music video for his latest single “The Way You Felt.” In the Miles & AJ-directed visual, Alec confronts a past relationship by revisiting stops along their shared history and reliving pivotal moments – even though he’s alone this time. Watch it on his official YouTube channel here.

“I love music videos that have the ability to tell the story beyond the lyrics of a song,” Alec shared. “When I wrote ‘The Way You Felt,’ I found myself thinking about an ex-girlfriend, so when it came time to shoot the video, I felt inspired to go back to all of the places where our relationship unfolded. I thought it was the perfect way to process some good and bad memories, and maybe get a little closure, which I obviously needed because I’m still writing about it.”

“The Way You Felt” is available to stream and download now here via Elektra Records. Upon release, Billboard praised, “The pain feels genuine, and Benjamin’s soothing delivery creates the impression that the shock hasn’t fully registered.” Alec recently delivered the song’s network television performance on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Watch the clip here. To celebrate Mother’s Day, Corden and his mother Margaret also welcomed Alec and his mother Janet onto the show for a special interview. Watch it here.

Adding further dimensions to the track, Alec also recently shared an acoustic version and a Mandarin version entitled “你的目光(The Way You Felt).” The song marked Alec’s first official Mandarin release, and debuted at #1 on NetEase Music’s Western New Music Chart in China, surpassing new releases from artists including Lorde and Maroon 5. Competing with both domestic and international releases, the track also climbed to #2 on the platform’s Viral Chart and #8 on the New Music Chart. After resuming his study of the language during the COVID-19 pandemic, he collaborated with Chinese actress and singer Zhao Lusi on a Mandarin version of his hit single “Water Fountain” earlier this year. Watch their duet on his YouTube channel here.

This Fall, Alec will return to the road for a North American tour with support from Harry Hudson. The 23-city trek kicks off on September 14 in Santa Cruz, CA, and wraps on October 21 in Pomona, CA. Due to overwhelming demand, he has already added second nights in multiple markets and upgraded his Dallas, TX show from Canton Hall to The Bomb Factory.

Remaining tickets for the tour are available now here.

The Way You Felt” follows Alec’s critically acclaimed 2020 debut studio album,These Two Windows. Generating nearly half-a-billion streams in under a year, it boasts the hit singles “Jesus In LA,” “Oh My God,” and “Mind Is A Prison.” Attracting widespread praise, People raved, “The album is a major milestone,” and Stereogum christened him “A fascinating voice in modern pop.” In addition to plugs from The New York Times, American Songwriter and more, Billboard noted, “The rising pop singer-songwriter succeeds in making the matter distinctive by how much his lyrics read like a heart-to-heart conversation.”

Peach Tree Rascals "Oh Honey (I Love You)" from Kristin Robinson at 10K Projects for use by 360 Magazine

PEACH TREE RASCALS — OH HONEY (I LOVE YOU)

Today, California misfit collective Peach Tree Rascals share a new music video for “Oh Honey (I Love You),” a sentimental track off of their debut EP, Camp Nowhere, released March 26 via Homemade Projects/10K Projects. Produced by James Bahmen and directed by creative house Kids Don’t Know, the new music video shares the enduring love story of an elderly couple in flashbacks to their younger years, when they first fell in love. Starring bandmate Joseph Barros as the main character, the new video is a testament of lasting enduring devotion, featuring cameos from each of the Rascals. Watch the music video for “Oh Honey (I Love You)” HERE.

The new music video arrives shortly after Peach Tree Rascals’ breakout hit “Mariposa” became RIAA-certified Gold, and after the group’s new cover of John Mayer’s “Stop This Train,” available now exclusively on Amazon Music. In the past year, the group has received praise from Billboard, Forbes, The Fader, VMAN, BuzzFeed, and more.

Peach Tree Rascals largely wrote and recorded their debut EP Camp Nowhere in seclusion, finding inspiration while camping. Centered on themes of recovery and healing which they attribute to their increased time outdoors during quarantine, the Rascals debut EP is a comforting and optimistic album for the times.

Camp Nowhere came from the idea that a lot of people have been using the isolation of quarantine and the state of the world to dig deeper into themselves and figure out what’s important to them,” rapper/singer Tarrek shares. “For some it’s discovering a new hobby, or that it’s time to move on to a new place. For PTR, it was taking a week in Yosemite to dive into our creativity. We’ve always done a combination of sounds that inspire us all. This feels like all of our inspirations mixed together.”

To date, Peach Tree Rascals has garnered 400M+ streams across platforms and count 6M+ Spotify monthly listeners. Their breakthrough hit “Mariposa” charted to #1 on the Alternative Radio Chart and has been co-signed by Lizzo and Harry Styles.

WHO ARE THE PEACH TREE RASCALS?

More of a brotherhood than a collective, The Rascals blend a seemingly effortless knack for melody with layers of rich harmony and R&B grooves. Recording together since their high school days, producer/mixer Dominic “Dom” Pizano, rappers-singers Issac Pech, Tarrek Abdel-Khaliq, Joseph Barros, and creative director Jorge Olazaba united with the intent of seeking musical growth and companionship. With most of the members being second-generation Americans (the sons of Palestinian, Filipino and Mexican immigrants), they quickly realized a deep, natural connection with one another, and grew into a single, harmonious unit.
