Retrofuture Cleveland All-Star Experience

Reebok has confirmed its return to all-star February 18-19, where the brand will offer Cleveland 2022 attendees an immersive retrofuture “Bok Door” experience showcasing the upcoming Question Mid 25th Anniversary and brand new Instapump Fury Zone. The RSVP-only event takes place in downtown Cleveland and will welcome Reebok friends like Myles Garrett, Dee Brown, Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal, and more, over the weekend.

Showing just a few weeks after the launch of its new “Life is Not a Spectator Sport” campaign, Reeboks’ 2022 all-star experience will pull attendees into a sneaker-culture “time machine” exploring the brand’s heritage and future.

“Pump, Question, Fury—Reebok is legendary in basketball and sneakers, so I’m happy to work with the brand in telling its story in Cleveland,” commented all-pro football player and Reebok partner, Myles Garrett. “This is a big weekend for the city. Visitors will then be catapulted decades into the future through the “Bok Door” and a transformative space mixing iconic Reebok basketball moments and technologies. Reebok Confirms 20th Anniversary Revival of Iconic Answer IV “Stepover,” Available June 4

Today, following the revival of is coveted OG predecessor, Reebok has confirmed the official 20th Anniversary rerelease of Allen Iverson’s Answer IV “Stepover” (retailing at $130).

Introduced by Reebok for Iverson ahead of his momentous 2000-01 campaign, Answer IV was built to compliment the polarizing point guard’s on-court energy and off-court style, while carrying forward key Answer-series design elements like DMX cushioning. Colorways introduced by Reebok throughout the season would mark a multitude of historic moments via A.I. Most notable is a specific black and white iteration, now known as the “Stepover,” adorned by Iverson in game 1 of the ’00-’01 title matchup. The moniker nods an historic moment from the game in which A.I. shakes his opponent to the floor with a deceiving dribble move before draining a baseline jumper and stepping over the would-be defender as the crowd erupts and he returns up court. That viral frame, which served to further define Iverson’s vitality and dominance, is remembered through the Answer IV “Stepover.”

“Answer IV is the crown jewel of Iverson’s journey and the cultural shift he helped to lead,” recalled veteran Reebok Footwear Designer Xavier Jones upon the OG model’s rerelease earlier this year. “By his ’00-’01 season, ‘Chuck’ was already so beloved for his style and how he approached the game, but that year truly cemented A.I. as a cultural icon. On his feet, Answer IV became a symbol for the new era of modern athlete and a celebration of self-expression. It is without a doubt one of the most iconic sneakers to ever grace the hardwood.”

The 20th Anniversary reissue stays true its original design elements like the fading gradient “I3” logo cascading down the tongue veiled by the zipper shroud, 3M reflective details returning to the “I3” quarter panels and top of tongue, the original eye-catching upper and a dynamic outsole featuring DMX foam, a TPU bridge plate and tactical tread patterns. The outsole is complemented by OG graphic executions like the Iverson head sunken underfoot, engraved “Only The Strong Survive” tagline and “I3” and Vector logos at the bridge and forefoot.

While Answer IV carries forward Reebok basketball heritage and the legacy of Allen Iverson, the unique sneaker is equally fitting for rising hoopers today writing their own story.

Reebok’s Answer IV “Stepover,” retailing at $130, will be available globally on June 4 from Reebok and select local retailers.

A product of Reebok’s Advanced Concepts division formed in the mid 1980s, DMX  (short for Dynamax) featured a series of interlinked air chambers under the foot that, thanks to the motion of the wearer’s stride, would fill and empty with air accordingly. If the wearer’s foot movement indicated that air was needed in a specific portion of the shoe, pressure would cause air to fill the corresponding chamber. Reebok Drops PREDATOR-Inspired DMX Shoe

Celebrating the latest installment in the Predator film franchise, Reebok has partnered with 20th Century Fox Consumer Products to produce a meticulously detailed cinematic collectible.

The DMX RUN 10 is a battle-hardened veteran in Reebok’s platoon of iconic sneaker models. For this particular mission, the dynamic DMX design was equipped with a shimmering lenticular camouflage material that mimics the Predator’s invisibility cloak as it rampages through the jungle.

Reebok’s classic Vector logo peers out from the top of the tongues like alien eyes piercing the night, while the yellow mesh gusset is an abstract nod to the Predator’s non-combat attire. The inner tongues feature ‘over here’ and ‘turn around’ printed in the creature’s native language. Inscribed with military coordinates in handwritten red ink, the transparent midsole overlays are another crisp nod to covert operations.

Eerie iridescent soles conceal more than just Reebok’s patented DMX tech. Black out the lights to witness glow-in-the-dark graphics inspired by the film’s finale when water short-circuits the Predator’s operating system. A ghoulish ‘spine trophy’ souvenir hangs from the laces as a tribute to theoriginal Predator film from 1987.

The custom packaging is also rich in designer detailing. Heatmap overlays imitate the Predator’s thermal-imaging vision, while the box itself is booby-trapped with hidden messages that will appeal to sci-fi boffins and diehard fans alike.

Reebok has unveiled its second iteration of the game-changing “Alter the Icons” collection – this time in partnership with emerging rapper and record producer JayIDK.

Reebok Classic’s newest campaign with Foot Locker Inc., dubbed Alter the Icons, discards decades of design practice to present radically chopped-and-skewed, heritage-hacked spins on the brand’s most iconic sneakers in an open statement against convention.

To launch the campaign, Reebok is dropping the product with a street-level pop-up saluting New York’s famed street merchant culture. Open to the public for one day only, the pop-up will guide consumers into the Foot Locker storefront where they will discover the official campaign product.

Reebok’s PureMove Bra Debuts Brand’s Proprietary Motion Sense Technology, Providing Customized Support and Control

Reebok made waves in the sports bra industry today with the unveiling of the Reebok PureMove Bra: a first of its kind, technologically advanced sports bra that uniquely responds and adapts to movement to provide women with a customized amount of control and support, exactly where and when they need it.

For too long, consumer insights have identified frustrated female consumers who feel unsatisfied with their sports bra options, raising flags with alarming stats including one in five women are still avoiding exercise because they don’t have the right sports bra. Determined to change the status quo, Reebok embarked on a journey three years ago with one clear mission: change industry standards for the sports bra and reset the bar. Now, just over forty years after the first sports bra came to market, Reebok is proud to debut a first of its kind product featuring the brand’s new proprietary Motion Sense Technology.

Reebok’s Motion Sense Technology is the result of treating a performance-based fabric with STF (Sheer Thickening Fluid) – a gel-like solution that takes a liquid form when in a still or slow-moving state and contrastingly stiffens and solidifies when moving at higher velocities. This fabric technology adapts and responds accordingly to the body’s shape, velocity of breast tissue, and both type and force of movement. Integral in PureMove’s three-year development process, was Reebok’s work in the lab, testing breast movement and product variations with the University of Delaware. Here, the two joined forces and upped the ante on industry standards for breast biomechanics that would inform both PureMove’s final design and Reebok’s full sports bra collections for FW18 and beyond. Until now, industry standards for breast biomechanic testing typically included an average of only two to four motion sensors on the chest area to track bounce and support, but Reebok and the University of Delaware utilized 54 unique motion sensors on this area during its rigorous testing process and used this data to ensure every detail was covered and accounted for in PureMove’s development.

The end result is a second-skin like design that creates a barely-there feel. Key performance features of the PureMove Bra in addition to the reactive fabric technology include:

Breathable Perforations: Perforations in front and back to keep you cool and comfortable, no matter the physical activity.

Natural Shaping: Molded front panel and free cut edges for a minimalistic, second-skin fit so you can move freely without distractions.

Minimalist Construction: Comprised of only 7 unique pieces of fabric that mold to the body for a seamless fit.

“Many would assume that the more support a sports bra gives would equate to the more fabric, straps or hooks it’s comprised of. However, by utilizing our Motion Sense Technology, PureMove’s design is quite deliberately the opposite,” says Danielle Witek, Senior Innovation Apparel Designer at Reebok. “The minimalist design of the bra may seem deceiving when you first hold it, but you should not confuse this for lack of support or technology. REEBOK CELEBRATES LAUNCH OF NEW FAST FLEXWEAVE RUNNING SHOE AT NYC EVENT

Rae Sremmurd, Devonta Freeman, Luis Badillo Jr., and Harley Pasternak Put Innovative Flexweave™ Technology to the Test

On March 5th, global fitness lifestyle brand Reebok brought together some of the best in fitness and entertainment to launch the brand’s newest innovation in footwear—the Fast Flexweave running shoe.

An exclusive group of fitness media and influencers put Fast Flexweave to the test in a rigorous, specially-curated workout inspired and led in-person by Reebok partners including Atlanta Falcons Running Back Devonta Freeman, speed specialist Luis Badillo Jr., Reebok Global Trainer Harley Pasternak.
