PRINCESS CYD

A Film by Stephen Cone
Watch the trailer

“As kind a movie as there was [last] year. Cone quietly asserts himself as a major talent. How heartening to see big topics – like faith, like sexuality – discussed in such warm, considerate terms by two such gifted actresses.”
– Richard Lawson, VANITY FAIR

Princess Cyd is a wonderful movie to live in; it’s full of hope and empathy, as are its two leads. This is a film that believes finding joy in each other is not just what we should do, but what we are naturally inclined to do.”
– Emily Yoshida, VULTURE

“Cone’s gift with ensembles puts him in rare company with directors like Jonathan Demme and Jean Renoir.”

Sheila O’Malley, ROGER EBERT. COM

“Anchored by complicated, smart, funny women, Princess Cyd is a rare delight.”

Jude Dry, INDIEWIRE

Synopsis:16-year-old Cyd (Jessie Pinnick) decides to take a break from her depressive single father and spend a summer in Chicago with her aunt Miranda (Rebecca Spence), a well-known novelist. Soon after her arrival, Cyd encounters Katie (Malic White), a young barista behind the counter. The two make plans to meet up after Katie’s shift and a new, charged relationship begins. The Chicago landscape expands, and we navigate intimate and fragile moments between Cyd and Katie as they explore their new attraction. Miranda functions as a counterpart to young Cyd’s new explorations of sexuality and love, and as the summer continues they develop a strong relationship founded on a shared openness and healthy criticism of particular personal moments.

Sensitive to the contradictions and confusion of the ever-changing self, Stephen Cone has created a film that reimagines that distinct summer feeling when adolescence creeps in, skin is bared, emotions emerge, and everything begins to feel more complicated.

SremmLife 2 drew acclaim from the likes of the New York Times, who noted that “the quieter innovation on this album is how, thanks to the more-meditative production, SremmLife 2is at times a commentary on and an updating of decades of Southern club rap.”

Released in 2015, Rae Sremmurd’s first full-length SremmLife debuted at the top of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and Rap Albums charts, in addition to cracking the Top 5 on the Top 200 Albums chart its first week. SremmLife also scored Rae Sremmurd five platinum-selling singles, including “No Flex Zone” and “No Type.”

Last August, Rae Sremmurd delivered “Perplexing Pegasus” and its accompanying video. The song was named a Best New Track by Pitchfork, who hailed the duo as “a two-man circus celebrating carefree living to the fullest, back-flipping through verses.”

Anna Maria

NYC Based Singer/Songwriter

Annamaria

Unleashes Brand New Single

“Affection”

The Song Combines A Refreshing Mix of Pop and R&B with Incredibly Passionate Vocal Stylings

With a New Year almost beginning, and on the heels of her latest release “Affection” (now available via iTunes, Spotify, Amazon & more), NYC based Singer/Songwriter Annamaria is getting ready to hit the ground running as she continues to conquer the NYC music scene and beyond!

The city has breathed new life, and taking center stage with poise beyond her years is 17yr old Annamaria!

The Singer/Songwriter has been honing her craft for as long as she can remember, saying “I always listened to music and wondered what my own words would sound like along with it. One day I finally sang and played along with a song on the radio…and I was hooked!

Working with Emmy Award-winning producer/singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Eren Cannata (son of Billy Joel saxophonist Richie Cannata), she has been writing and producing music – all original, radio-ready, and all immediately viable. Pairing the two was not coincidental, but a canny move by the young talent’s manager – John Casale. “I wanted a producer who’d be sensitive to Annamaria’s music and serve it well. Richie was the one, his experience and taste shows in every note.” Adds Cannata, “Eren and Annamaria have worked so well together. She’s the most prolific young artist we have worked with in years. She is on her way to great success in this industry!”.

With her latest track “Affection”, she’s begun sending out to the world her own brand of fresh new R&B and Soul laden pop music with a distinctly powerful vocal edge. “Kiss me, love me, like no one’s in the room // You miss me, you want me, then show me you do // Need your love and attention, all your affection” sings Annamaria in the sleek and passionate track the brings her smooth vocal tones to the forefront over a subtle yet powerful backing track.

Though she lists her favorite artists as Tori Kelly, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, Demi Lovato, and Christina Aguilera – her own music remains truly original. And with a full record release imminent along with groundwork being laid for her first tour, it won’t be long until Annamaria’s music is everywhere!

It’s the new year; and we’re all seeking ways to revamp our home decor. For whatever reason, furniture has the ability to create an ambience of joy and inspiration. Of late, we had an opportunity to visit an aesthetically pleasing furniture store, BoConcept. Blown away by its vibrancy, we were captivated by an array of colors and tones which induced our internal mood – numerous area rugs in various patterns coupled with dining room or living room arrangements.

FERRARI WORLD

by Amardeep Singh
FERRARI WORLD: WHERE AUTOMOTIVES MEET CARNIVAL TYPE RECREATION

“IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DREAM FOR IT”. Picture this. Stalls and booths of classic and supercars parked in rows with kids testing them out. Miniaturized renditions of famous racetracks where you get to drive. A rollercoaster designed with Ferrari in mind considered to be the fastest in the world. What might seem like every gear head’s dream is actually one of the star attractions that shines across the landscape of Abu Dhabi.

The automotive amusement park is home to the Formula Rossa that has an acceleration: 0-240km/h in 4.9sec, 0 -100km/h in 2sec with a G-Force of 1.7Gs, matching that of an actual Ferrari supercar.

But that’s just the beginning. You could enjoy an ebullient change of speed and explore miniature Italy in a small-scale Ferrari 250 California, circa 1958 adorned with cityscapes to famous landmarks and racing venues like Portofino and the Amalfi Coast, Monza Racetrack, the Colosseum di Roma, Venezia, and of course, Maranello.

The amusement park was inaugurated in the year 2010 and is the world’s first Ferrari themed park as well as the largest indoor theme park. The design of the park itself is a homage to the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body. The United Arab Emirates has a tendency to overdo in terms of world records and even here there seems to be no stone unturned. The Ferrari logo that sits at the complex’s center, a stunning 65m x 48.5m logo,  is the largest Ferrari logo ever created.

Top must see attractions are all centered around Ferrari’s extensive history including the V12, a flume ride, the G-Force tower, which takes visitors to a height of 62m, and the Pit Wall, where participants can make race-day judgment calls. Racing and driving simulators are available as well that might cause visitors to burn away some cash but its entirely worth it.

For the really adventurous, Ferrari World also includes the Paddock, which puts you into the shoes of a Ferrari pit crew on a Grand Prix day, and a museum that tracks the history of the car brand from its earliest days to its current unmatched dominance.

For car lovers and history lovers, UAE is a definite destination to visit and explore. And Ferrari World is just one of the several major setups that deserves a worthy mention. So why wait? Head on down to the heart of a country that rose from the desert to shine at the Arabian Gulf.

“A perfectly balanced duo. They both have incredible skills. They both have wonderful voices. The harmonies are fabulous. And they play the heck out of the guitar…” – NPR Music

The EP’s title track and “Desire” are selections from the band’s upcoming full-length album, due out later this year.
