Metallic Topical Tattoos

By Armon Hayes

It’s really all about the little things, especially when it comes to your outfit. Everyone has that sense when a look is complete, there’s just a feeling about it where being excited and proud merge. That point where you are thrilled to be seen in your perfectly completed ensemble that you can just sit back and let the compliments flock in. There’s a newly recognized beauty and fashion accessory making this all happen, temporary tattoos.

Metallic temporary tattoos are the best way to enhance your look with ease and are a huge fan favorite for those who attend music festivals, the beach, or other outdoors events. You can adorn Topical Tattoos with your beach day look as shiny tattoo bracelets and body jewelry, or use them as delicate design accents to complete your look regardless if it’s a sexy date night or Sunday brunch with friends. Topical Tattoos are completely safe and non-toxic, making them fun for kids and families too!

Topical Tattoo launched during COVID when owner, Melissa Bell, started experimenting with accessories to boost her mood while being stuck at home. She thought that the simplicity of the items provided a lot. She could enjoy them just for herself, regardless if anyone else would see her decked out in the temporary tattoos or not. Starting a shop isn’t an easy or quick accomplishment though, especially when you have a current career you’re committed to for the majority of the week days and nights. Etsy seemed like a good platform to launch while working on her website, testing appropriate markets, analyzing customer preferences, and deciding new designs and styles to add to her storefront.

With everyone getting back out and the world opening up again, everyone is hunting for a way to amp-up their outfit with minimum effort items that add a dramatic effect. Temporary tattoos are the quintessential beauty and fashion accessory that won’t break the bank but embellishes any look depending on the color and design of the temporary tattoos from the various metallic, black, and white tattoo color options to choose from. We all remember playing with sticker-like tattoos when we were younger. It’s no lie that we all know how long temporary tattoos have really been in our lives. Now we have a fresh new take – more unique and stylized choices for fun or glamorous looks.

Just take a look at the celebrities embellishing their moisturized skin with these gypsy-styled, minimalist pho bracelets, necklaces and designs. The women we idolize for their fashion sense have all dawned these boho tattoos, including celebrities like Beyonce, Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Taylor Swift to name a few. They’re shockingly stunning and delicate when placed on the collar bone, kiss the upper cheeks, or get delicately pressed on the stomach and thighs– anywhere on your body works!

You can pair a metallic choker tattoo with a soft gold chain link necklace. You could also place a vertical design running down the center of your chest starting at your center collarbone. Then place a simple necklace that also graces the collarbone and just barely overlaps the metallic temporary tattoo.

Everything about Topical Tattoo’s fashion and beauty accessories has been carefully planned right down to the packaging. Topical Tattoos knows that great brands provide an ample number of sheets per order, which is precisely why they offer 5 sheets in every order as customers need options for each different look they put together. There are so many possibilities to upgrade your outfit for any situation. Luckily, now is the time to get started playing with your look in new ways, while supporting a small business shop. Champion × The Renewal Workshop

Champion® Athleticwear Partners with The Renewal Workshop to Give Consumers Additional Eco-Friendly Apparel Choices.

Brand launches new collection that expands responsibly made products and supports “Be Your Own Champion” campaign

As part of its global “Be Your Own Champion” campaign, Champion Athleticwear today announced that it has launched Champion Renewed in partnership with The Renewal Workshop – a company that renews apparel that would have otherwise gone into landfill.

The partnership helps extend the lifespan of the brand’s apparel and reduce waste, while supporting the “Be Your Own Champion” campaign inspired by Champion’s consumers – who care as much about how they play the game as the end result. It also articulates the brand’s commitment to designing stylish, athletic apparel and footwear that enables everyone to be a champion by confidently expressing themselves … and feel good while doing it.

The exclusive, Champion Renewed line features the brand’s iconic Reverse Weave® sweatshirts renewed by The Renewal Workshop. The collection ranges from $30-$45 (40% off the original MSRP) and is available at Here.

“To us, ‘Be Your Own Champion’ means encouraging consumers to do things the right way and do them with heart – both on and off the field,” said Jon Ram, group president of global activewear for HanesBrands. “Extending the life of apparel that would have likely ended up in landfill is part of that effort, and it gives our consumers yet another reason to be proud to wear our brand.”

The Renewal Workshop uses Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodology to measure the impact of the textile fibers most frequently received, such as cotton, polyester and wool. Using this data, in addition to each garment’s weight, the organization can evaluate energy savings, greenhouse gas reductions, and water consumption decreases, among other things, for each item that is renewed. The Renewal Workshop then sorts, grades, thoroughly sanitizes the products using state-of-the-art waterless technology and repairs them to like-new standards. Once inspected and verified to joint quality standards, they are given a Renewal Workshop tag and made available for purchase.

“We’re thrilled to have Champion join our growing list of brands, and we’re eager to support the brand in its larger efforts to salvage apparel, giving clothing a chance for a second life,” said Nicole Bassett, co-founder, The Renewal Workshop. “By having a brand as iconic as Champion begin the process with us, we’re encouraged that others within the industry will soon follow suit.”

The partnership between Champion and The Renewal Workshop is part of the brand’s promise to increase the use of responsibly made fabrics and find ways to creatively reuse products to reduce energy use and water consumption during the manufacturing process. As part of the HanesBrands family, Champion’s efforts support the company’s 2025-2030 global sustainability goals, which include all of its brands having a fully circular product or significant circularity initiative by 2025.

Champion has already made significant progress reaching ongoing sustainability goals, including offering classic jersey tees made with 100% U.S. cotton, which is traceable and some of the most responsibly produced fiber in the world; introducing two environmentally conscious collections, Natural State and Rally Pro Earth, in 2021; and manufacturing “Game Day” sweats using 95% recycled polyester fibers, as well as other Sports category apparel with a significant percentage of recycled polyester fiber.

Stylish Sustainability: Solo New York Launches Re:cycled Collection

Leader in Stylish Everyday Bags Spins Recycled Plastic Bottles into Sleek New Collection; Partners with National Forest Foundation to Replant Forests

Solo New York, a leading, urban-inspired designer of backpacks, totes, duffels, briefs, and sleeves, announced the launch of the exciting new Re:cycled Collection of bags, which debuted at CES 2020.

Each bag in the new Re:cycled Collection repurposes plastic from three to eight plastic bottles, depending on bag size. With the first Re:cycled Collection product run alone, nearly 90,000 plastic bottles will be recycled, keeping them from ending up in landfills.

Taking the initiative a step further, Solo has partnered with the National Forest Foundation to help restore U.S. forests. With every bag sold from the Re:cycled Collection, Solo is planting a tree to help regrow U.S. National forests. The company has also added a pledge page to its website, and an additional tree will be planted for anyone who takes the Solo Green Pledge.

“With the new Re:cycled Collection, we set out to make stylish bags that also do good for the environment. And our designers really sweated the details to make this collection accessible to anyone and everyone who wants to make a difference,” said Serkan Anders, Vice President of Marketing, Solo New York. “To go even further, we’ve since revamped all of our packaging and hang tags which are now also made from recycled materials, and our hang tags are biodegradable. We had to figure out which finishes are biodegradable, and train our suppliers to source those finishes as well as the recycled plastic. It was a challenging yet very rewarding process, and many of our learnings will carry over to other Solo New York products.”

Solo’s Re:cycled Collection will soon be available at major North American retailers and online, further demonstrating that retail partners and consumers are looking for stylish products made with care for the environment. The Re:cycled Collection launches with the Re:vive Mini Backpack (MSRP $24.99), the Re:store Tote (MSRP $54.99) and the Re:move Duffel (MSRP $64.99), and the collection will be expanded with new bags in the Spring of 2020. The full Re:cycled Collection will be on display at CES 2020, including bags not yet in production.

Solo New York’s headquarters building is 100% solar powered, the company has a strict policy of no single-use plastic bottles, and all Solo New York products are shipped in recycled corrugated cardboard boxes.

“Sustainability and our net green impact are part of our brand DNA, and we’re dedicated to moving forward and adding new, more environmentally friendly programs and initiatives every year,” added Anders.

Billy Los Angeles

Billy Los Angeles Season 003 – Spring/Summer 2019.

Primed with nostalgic influence, the brand embraces designer Jovenall’s memories from Pittsburgh’s rural outskirts and introduces denim for the first time.

New York, NY: Billy Los Angeles’ SEASON 003 is a conversation between designer Holly Jovenall’s parallel lives: one growing up in a rural town outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and the other growing into a successful stylist immersed in Los Angeles culture.

SEASON 001 and SEASON 002 established the visual language of these worlds through collections. SEASON 003 explores what eventually led Jovenall from her rural upbringing to her life in Los Angeles. With nostalgia for the transitional and an eye towards the future, SEASON 003 embodies the DIY attitude and style of Jovenall’s childhood contemporaries. These young men fostered their own individual and authentic look using what was available to them locally with echoes of faraway streetwear and hip hop influences. From skateparks on the outskirts of Pittsburgh to the plaid work shirts her father, BILLY, would buy from the farm store, Jovenall’s influences come from the pieces that were simply part of her way of life.

When approaching this season, I found a lot of inspiration from archival photographs that myself and my sister had taken throughout our youth, in our hometown of Transfer, Pennsylvania. References to what I can only describe as a fusion of hip hop culture with Midwest accessibility – this is the vibe I’ve tried to communicate,” Jovenall says.

360, 360 Magazine, Vaughn Lowery, BILLY LOS ANGELES

Graphics from SEASON 003 come from photographers of her father (BILLY), her nephew (Noah) and her horse (Pistol) at horse shows and around the ranch taken by Jovenall and her sister (Marissa). Each piece in the collection is lovingly updated from clothing that her friends, family, and she herself wore in those formative years – such as the rugby shirt – work pants and jacket. As always, the washes and attention to detail are what set BILLY apart. The sun faded vintage affect on the T-shirts to the distressing of the work pants imbue the collection with subtle minimalism.

SEASON 003 introduces BILLY LOS ANGELES denim, washed and worn (but not over worn) to perfection. BILLY denim represents a timeless uniform, updated and executed with modern lines, relaxed washes and fades. The result is a collection of individual items that coincide perfectly with the mood of modern man’s wardrobe while evoking a sense of longing for a simpler time.
