Shanne Gulle Kumus Sing for the Stars via Michele Marie PR for use by 360 Magazine

Shanne Wins Sing for the Stars

What better word to describe Shanne‘s hard-won victory than the word “deserved”. Hailing all the way from General Santos City, in the southern part of the Philippine archipelago, Shanne sang her way to the finish line. Winning was no easy feat, but she had what it takes: talent, dedication, and the courage to take a leap of faith. And let’s not forget the final piece of the puzzle: the technology to reach the farthest corners of the globe, which is where Kumu comes in handy.

The Trajectory To Victory

If you want to reach the stars, you have to break the stratosphere, which is a need answered by having the best technology can offer. Kumu‘s Sing For The Starswas the vehicle aspiring singers and musicians rode to see how high they can reach. Hundreds of aspirants joined the country’s first-ever virtual singing contest and called upon their supporters to fuel the journey via the giving of virtual gifts. Much like an actual rocket launch with parts disengaging along the way, there were eliminations that narrowed down the contestant number from 100 down to 30, to 15, and finally, the top 3.

No rocket launch is complete without people guiding its trajectory, which comes in the form of the guest judges: Grammy Award-winning Michael Bublé, and Tony Award-winning Lea Salonga, along with other big names in the music industry such as KZ Tandingan and Ben&Ben. It isn’t really the end for those who didn’t make it to the top—a diamond in the rough is still a diamond beneath the surface. During the “Sing For The Stars”‘ virtual press conference, Lea Salonga mentioned that aspiring musicians can still get discovered even if they did not win the competition, which is a very encouraging statement to hold on to. Many can start their musical journey, but only one can call herself a Grand Champion and enjoy the perks that come with it—the title belongs to Shanne Gulle alone.

The New Star Under The Telescope

The now Grand Champion was then a regular Kumunizen live streamer who started her Kumu journey in 2020 at the young age of 16. She had a burning desire to grow her confidence and self-esteem, saying “I wanted to be a live streamer because I wanted to grow and interact with people”. She found the Kumunity to be a very welcoming place, filled with people generous with their time and support, and surely, her confidence began to grow. As Shanne put out her music content, she saw a promotion for “Sing For The Stars” on Instagram, showing the names of two huge legends in the music industry, one of which caught her attention: Ms. Lea Salonga. Her friends rightly pointed out that these types of singing competitions are not common, and was encouraged to give it a shot, to which she excitedly obliged.

The stars aligned for Shanne, whom beat more than a hundred other aspirants to the top. Kumunizens’ kind nature was also properly represented in the rapport Shanne had with the other finalists, Archie Aguilar and Christian Bahaya. The three bonded behind the scenes as they watched the finale stage being set up. With her Kumu friends along with her that day, she came home bagging the grand prize: $10,000, a one-year contract with Warner Music Philippines, and her own Kumu concert, which happened on April 24. In it, she sang huge pop hits such as Olivia Rodrigo‘s “Happier” and “Driver’s License” highlighting her winning vocals. Last on the prize list was a one-on-one coaching session with Michael Bublé himself—a Zoom session Shanne mustered up more of her confidence to join.

McLaren x NYSE/ICE Conference via Vaughn Lowery for use by 360 Magazine

McLaren Press Conference

McLaren Racing and Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE) team up as ICE was announced an Official Partner of the McLaren MX Extreme E Team. To debut their brand-new partnership, McLaren officials took part in a news conference at the Exchange, and the Number 58 McLaren Extreme E race car sat outside while the professionals talked all things McLaren x ICE.

360 Magazine’s very own Vaughn Lowery attended the conference and had the opportunity to speak with McLaren Racing Senior Principal Race Engineer Leena Gade and McLaren EX Extreme E Driver Tanner Foust. Listen to the official 360 Mag Podcast episode HERE.

Vaughn talked all things McLaren sustainability, diversity and female empowerment with Leena Gade, McLaren Racing’s Senior Principal Race Engineer.

Leena raved about the importance of McLaren and ICE sharing beliefs regarding approaching work in a green way while also encouraging diversification in the workplace. Working in the spaces of engineering and racing that are conventionally white male dominated, Leena stressed the importance of representation within the field.

As a daughter of immigrant parents, Leena’s family moved to the UK from India to build a new life for Leena and her sister. Driven to build a successful life full of opportunities for their children, Leena’s parents story resembles that of one that a surplus of Indian families goes through. Leena emphasized this, while placing emphasis on how they encouraged hard work and dedication to achieve their ambitions.

Anyone can do this,” she stated, and continued about how it’s important for everyone to have someone to look up to that looks like them. She remembered as a child how all the racers she looked up to were white men, creating conversations about range in the field. These factors are exactly why the partnership between McLaren and ICE is one that she got behind.

Preserving the Earth, too, is another associated value that the two corporations believe in. Leena spoke on how its vital that McLaren aligned themselves with another entity that took climate issues as seriously as they did. It’s vital that our society considers the significance of the modern climate, and that there’s no reason for the crisis to become so intense.

Vaughn also had the chance to sit down with Tanner Foust, one of McLaren’s EX Extreme E Drivers. They chatted about how Tanner delved into the field of racing from starting out as a bio major, how Extreme E driving differentiates from the norm of racing and the continuing inclusivity of McLaren.

With a 25-year career as a racer, it might shock you that Tanner had early dreams of becoming a doctor. Attending University of Colorado majoring in biology, Tanner was always interested in racing, but didn’t quite know how to get his start in the field. Taking on a job with an inventor that made amusement park rides, he found inspiration in his boss that went after his aspirations and lived life each day not feeling like he was “working.”

Deciding to get a job as a mechanic for a local Colorado racing team, Tanner found his start into the world of racing. He then worked his way up and learned how to turn this passion into a profitable job. This has to be his number one piece of advice for anyone aspiring to dive into their dream career; obtain a job that is close to the one that you want, and slowly work your way to that goal.

When asked the question of what his biggest accomplishment with racing had to be, Tanner recalled the first time that he was able to make a livable income from racing. Turning this passion into a fully fledged career was a massive achievement for Tanner, and he aims to give younger people guidance to also become a professional driver.

Now fully immersed in the field of racing, Tanner finds McLaren racing to be unlike any racing he’d previously taken part in. Extreme E approaches racing in a different light with fast sprints and difficult racing terrains. He accredits McLaren to challenging what he thought he was previously capable of and opening him up to a brand-new realm of racing.

Like Leena, Tanner spoke to the great advancements that McLaren has been making towards a more sustainable and inclusive approach. Motorsport is evolving to become more gender and carbon neutral, which is something that Tanner advocates for fully. The extraordinary team working behind the scenes day in and out continues to advance the space of motorsport.

Bugatti × Rimac Partnership

Rimac Automobili officially joins forces with Bugatti Automobiles under the recently announced, Bugatti Rimac d.o.o. The new company sees two motor vehicle powerhouses generate an exciting movement in the automotive and technology industries, originally initiated and strongly supported by the sports car manufacturer Porsche AG.

Rimac’s short but rich 10-year history from garage start-up by one man, Mate Rimac, took a big leap forward to begin official operating under Bugatti Rimac as of November 1st.

The Rimac Group is the major shareholder in Bugatti Rimac with a 55% stake. Mate Rimac will retain his shareholding in Rimac Group at 35%, with Porsche at 22%, Hyundai Motor Group doing the same at 11%, and other investors making up 32%. The development, production, and supply of battery systems, drivetrains, and other EV components that Rimac is known for and trusted by, will be separated into a new entity, Rimac Technology, that is 100% owned by the Rimac Group.

Bugatti Rimac has the unique combination of two automotive and technological trailblazers. Rimac’s distinctive agility, technical expertise, and relentless innovation in the EV sphere, along with Bugatti’s 110-year heritage of design and engineering of some of the world’s most iconic hypercars, are now combined in the leading hypercar company. Porsche plays a strong role in the joint company as a strategic partner. Along with two managers, the Stuttgart based sports car manufacturer appointed two Supervisory Board members, Oliver Blume and Lutz Meschke.

Mate Rimac’s leadership and strategic direction that has allowed Rimac to become an industry frontrunner means he is exceptionally skilled to lead the company as Chief Executive Officer. As CEO of Rimac Group, he runs both Bugatti Rimac and the new division, Rimac Technology.

Bugatti Rimac’s global headquarters is situated at Rimac’s current base on the outskirts of Zagreb, Croatia, but in time will transition to the recently announced €200M and 200.000m2 Rimac Campus, also serving as the home of Rimac Technology. With construction having now begun, joint research and development of future Rimac Automobili and Bugatti hypercars will ultimately take place there, with projected opening in 2023.

High-tech innovation forms the basis of the state-of-the-art facility, with the capacity to host 2,500 curiosity-driven people and a hive of groundbreaking developments. Bugatti Rimac operates with 435 employees as part of the new company, 300 of headquartered in Zagreb and 135 in Molsheim, France. In addition,180 people at Bugatti Engineering’s location in Wolfsburg, Germany, are supporting the new company. Rimac Technology consists of over 900 employees whilst the Rimac Group tackles over 1,300 employees across its various locations.

Bugatti Rimac’s new Board of Management has determined Christophe Piochon as Chief Operating Officer. He formerly held the position of Director General at Bugatti Automobiles and guarantees the continuation of the manufactory with its worldwide outstanding quality. Larissa Fleischer became Chief Financial Officer, previously being the head of controlling at Porsche in the areas of digitalization and the development of new business models. Lastly, Emilio Scervo is named Chief Technology Officer, having held the same title before at Rimac Automobili.

Rimac Automobili and Bugatti Automobiles will each continue to operate as separate brands and manufacturers, retaining their individual production facilities respectively, as well as the distribution channels. Rimac Technology will continue to innovate, developing vehicle systems and technologies for many global OEMs.

Commenting on the first day of Bugatti Rimac operations, CEO Mate Rimac says, “I am honored to be leading this new fusion of automotive minds and begin what will no doubt be a successful, revolutionary and exciting new chapter for everyone involved. I am also extremely curious to oversee the profound impact Bugatti Rimac will have on the industry, and I look forward to developing innovative new hypercars and technologies.”

He also claims that “[it’s] difficult to find a better match than Rimac and Bugatti. What each party brings to the table in terms of technical expertise, know-how and automotive history makes for an electrifying recipe. Rimac’s fast-paced operations and electrification skills are the perfect complement to Bugatti’s exceptional heritage and craftsmanship. Stay tuned for some truly extraordinary projects in the future.”

“I am convinced that we have found the right mix of experience and know-how, innovative strength and team spirit for the management,” says Lutz Meschke, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and member of the board for Finance and IT at Porsche AG. “That’s why I’m very optimistic and because the project is very close to my heart, I will continue to accompany it closely and passionately in the future.”

Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Board of Management at Porsche, named this merger as “the perfect solution” for everyone involved, “Together, we are creating a high-performance automotive company. We have succeeded in positioning the traditional Bugatti brand with its charisma for the future in a way that creates value. Aston Martin – No Time To Die Edition

The Little Car Company, Aston Martin and EON Productions today announced the launch of a No Time To Die special edition Aston Martin DB5 Junior. Inspired by the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, released in cinemas from September 30, the film sees the return of the iconic Aston Martin DB5. This unique collaboration with The Little Car Company has created a gadget-laden collector’s item. The two-thirds scale version of the original comes with a fully electric powertrain.

Specifications

The No Time To Die edition will pay homage to the rich shared history of the brands, with Silver Birch paintwork, Smiths instruments, individually numbered chassis plates, and complete with Aston Martin badging. In true Bond style, this special edition boasts even greater power and range over the standard DB5 Vantage Junior, giving it a higher level of performance.

After extensive development and months of collaboration between the three companies, the car is a truly authentic homage to both the Aston Martin and 007 brands. The original Aston Martin DB5 was 3D-scanned for reference, allowing a completely accurate reproduction. Whilst some elements of the car have been replicated, such as the Smiths instruments on the dashboard, some elements have been reimagined for the modern era. The fuel gauge has been converted into a battery meter, while the oil temperature now monitors the motor temperature.

The No Time To Die Special Edition has been designed as a convertible, and not the fixed head coupe drove by 007. This is to offer seating for an adult and child side by side, allowing all generations of Bond fans to share the love of driving. With multiple driving modes and a range of up to 80 miles, aspiring secret agents should be able to escape any situation. There are also some secret ‘Easter Eggs’ hidden within the car for the lucky owners to find.

A quick-release steering wheel allows for a speedy entry and exit for the driver, and when they need to stop in a hurry, they can rely on both regenerative braking and high-performance Brembo disc brakes. Bilstein dampers and coil-over springs make sure the suspension can handle the performance squeezed into this two-thirds scale marvel.

No Time To Die Specification

James Bond’s Aston Martin DB5 has become a much-loved character in its own right. No Bond car would be complete without Q-style gadgets, and the Aston Martin DB5 Junior No Time To Die edition is no exception. 360 Magazine is pleased to see this big collaboration in a huge style.

Chris Corbould OBE, the Oscar®-winning special effects supervisor, has worked on fifteen James Bond films since the early 1980s, and he consulted with The Little Car Company on the development of the car’s complex gadgets in miniature;

“When I saw the DB5 Junior in the flesh, I was amazed at how identical it is to the full-sized car – it’s stunning. It’s an amazing feat of engineering.”

All the gadgets are operated by individual controls in a hidden switch panel in the passenger door. At the push of a button, the headlights drop to reveal a twin set of simulated Gatling guns, complete with imitation barrel blasts and flashes.

As witnessed in the No Time To Die trailer, the skid mode comes in handy when caught in a tight spot. The No Time To Die special edition has a unique digital number plate activated through the hidden control panel.

Just like the original car, this special edition can produce a smokescreen to aid a successful getaway. Ejected through the rear ‘exhaust’, the smoke has a supply tank that supplies an hour of safe smoke before it needs topping up.

Although the DB5 Junior is not road legal, as an authentic Aston Martin model, every owner will receive automatic membership of the respected Aston Martin Owners Club. In addition, all clients will receive complimentary membership of The Little Car Club, allowing them to take part in exclusive events where they, their children, and their grandchildren can drive their DB5 Juniors on the most prestigious racetracks.

Ben Hedley, CEO of The Little Car Company, said: “Regarded as the most famous car in cinematic history, the gadget-laden Aston Martin DB5 awed audiences around the world over fifty years ago. Now, that story continues. As part of an exclusive partnership with EON Productions and Aston Martin, we have had the opportunity to create something truly unique for James Bond fans and collectors. We can’t wait to see the adventures these cars take with their owners.”

Bond fans worldwide are able to secure one of the limited-edition No Time To Die editions of the DB5 Junior by visiting 007junior.com. With only 125 cars being built, build slots are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, by placing a fully refundable deposit.

Pricing for the car has been set at £90,000, plus local taxes. Existing Aston Martin DB5 Junior clients will be given the first refusal on upgrading to a No Time To Die edition, and remaining build slots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Low Mode illustration by Heather Skovlund for 360 Magazine

Rolls-Royce Low Mode

ROLLS-ROYCE LOW MODE

The Rolls-Royce driving experience is characterized by the feeling of one imperceptible and endless gear. However, there are occasions when the driver requires more immediacy or a different dynamic profile in response to terrain and conditions. For these moments, Rolls-Royce has engineered ‘Low Mode’.

On pressing a button conveniently located on the inside of the gear lever, the transmission will shift gears up to 25% faster. This delivers more immediate acceleration and amplifies the effect of engine braking. The result of increased RPM in a lower gear, when faced with steep gradients, is a greater sense of control of the car’s speed, particularly in descents.

Low Mode

  • Transforms character of a Roll-Royce at the touch of a button
  • Low Mode augments steep descent by shifting gears 25% faster
  • For Black Badge Low Mode enables gear shifts 50% faster and a bolder aural character

 ROLLS-ROYCE BLACK BADGE LOW MODE

Black Badge represents an amplification of the Rolls-Royce driving experience in response to demand for more urgency to match a bold, darker, more engineering-led aesthetic. Once the Low button is depressed, the full potential of Black Badge is unleashed, amplifying a purposeful character within the motor car. It achieves this by holding gears longer when accelerating, and when braking downshifts are made faster to ensure the full spectrum of power is made available from the Black Badge’s characteristic V12.

Rolls-Royce has engineered a highly responsive suite of technologies to create an experience that responds to the intent of the driver. This means, when the throttle is depressed to 90% with ‘Low Mode’ engaged, gearshift speeds are increased by 50%, delivering power with more immediacy.

AURAL CHARACTER

Every Rolls-Royce represents a profound collaboration between brand and customer. In Black Badge’s conception, this was extended from the design atelier to the engineering studio. This bold, new sub-set of clients demanded a more prominent expression of the engine’s aural character.

Rolls-Royce’s engineers worked exhaustively in the knowledge that this meant so much more than simply more noise. This approach – the result of more than two years of careful tuning – yielded a baritone sound that perfectly communicates the character of Black Badge as a subversive statement without betraying the sovereignty of the Rolls-Royce experience.

For clients who wish to enjoy the full Black Badge soundscape when stationary, the exhaust flaps remain open in ‘Park’ and ‘Neutral’ when ‘Low Mode’ is selected, allowing them to showcase the aural character of the car through the enthusiastic depression of the throttle pedal

Just after winning the 2020 NBA Championship, 360 Magazine got the chance to pilot the new Rolls-Royce Cullinan in a glamorous royal violet. This new edition takes the prize for being one of the most deluxe SUVs on the market, defining the post-opulence of the brand.

Priced at about $340,350, the massive machine encompasses greatness, class and refinement. This bespoke vehicle focuses on the purest craftsmanship by retaining the same DNA as its brothers and sisters. Its name comes from the exquisite Cullinan diamond, so it is clear that wealth is featured in all fields.

During a sunset in Malibu, 360 Magazine was pleased to witness the extravagance of the SUV first hand and was able to record its faultless driving capabilities. A film, by Jeff Langlois, is featured on both our Instagram and YouTube and exhibits the impeccable excursion from a birds-eye perspective.

Design

The skeleton is a perfect marriage of sophistication and power, bringing a classic SUV composition to an all-new level. The striking purple exterior ensures travelers will arrive poshly to any event. The panoramic glass roof is designed for a sensation of the outdoors, while the privacy glass allows passengers to remain discreet. Twenty-two-inch wheels, partly polished to two spokes, allow effortless driving while remaining tasteful.

Every interior of the vehicle is not only exquisite, but unique because of the customizable characteristics the driver can choose to meet all their desires. The cabin is equipped with leather seats and sheep wool carpets. Its interior details are decorated with delicate wooden trim and moulded aluminum accents.

Technology

The Rolls-Royce Cullinan has the most current technology that perfectly correlates with the ride’s complex elements. With a spacious back seat, buyers can select the Center Console option that allows passengers sitting in the back to activate a massage feature. With this option, the middle seat has been replaced with a central console which features a cooling tray, perfect for holding champagne flutes or a whiskey carafe.

All models possess a large tactile infotainment system and Apple CarPlay. There is an available entertainment option for the backseat which boasts a 12.0-inch screen so the backseat riders will never grow bored. This model is also equipped with a WiFi access point and a custom audio system with 18 speakers. Of course, the interior roof can feature the classic Rolls-Royce star-studded ceiling which dazzles anyone who receives the honor of being a passenger.

Performance

With a 6.7-litre twin-turbo V-12 engine, the car delivers 563 horsepower noise-free. Thanks to the unique soundproofing glass, the drive is quiet in all terrains. The silent yet powerful engine allows a fast and enjoyable journey. According to Car and Driver, it can reach a speed of 60 mph in only 4.5 seconds.

The Cullinan is equipped with all-wheel drive and is able to tackle the most difficult terrain, ideal for steep driveways. The air suspension alongside of a road-scanning camera allows the vehicle to adjust its height to avoid road imperfections.

Safety

The beautifully developed vehicle not only looks gorgeous, but has safety features that will make riders feel secure. The car has driver assistance technology, including night vision. It also includes a standard forward-collision warning with automated emergency braking, a standard lane departure warning with lane support, and a standard adaptive cruise control.

More safety features include blind-spot detection, information about speed limits, approaching pedestrians and preventing rear-end collisions. These components ensure all riders’ safety and have been designed by experts for reliability.

Ergonomics

The all-around aspects of the Rolls-Royce Cullinan combine to deliver the ultimate in comfort and efficiency. The V-12 engine uses 12 mpg when driving in the city and 20 mpg on the freeway. This exceeds the Bentley Bentayga and the Mercedes-AMG G63, both in the same category. With an 8-speed automatic transmission, driving at ease is this automobile’s responsibility. It has 571 horsepower at 5000 rpm and 627 lb-ft of torque at 1600 rpm. Not only is this vehicle designed with panache, but it has been constructed tactically to be capable and dynamic. Drivers will be enamored by this magic carpet ride while clawing to the road. A limited warranty that covers four years and unlimited mileage is included, so you never need to stress about upkeep.

Legacy

Embodying precision, this is a top for everyone who wants to drive a luxury SUV, no matter who you are. Celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Justin Bieber, Jennifer Lopez and 50 Cent were all seen cruising with the vehicle, proving this brand is supreme. From a young, savvy business person to a prosperous family with a toddler and a pooch, this lavish, well-rounded mode of transportation appeals to everyone.
