MADONNA’s MADAME X CONCERT FILM AND ALBUM

The concept film to Madonna’s acclaimed Madame X Tour debuts today in the U.S., Latin America, Australia, the Nordics, and Canada, exclusively on Paramount+, the streaming service from ViacomCBS. Fans outside these markets can watch the documentary on MTV. 

To coincide with the film’s debut, Warner Records has released the digital soundtrack, which showcases 20 powerful live performances that touch on different eras of Madonna’s celebrated career, including her ninth #1 album, Madame X. MADAME X – MUSIC FROM THE THEATER XPERIENCE is available now on all digital download and streaming platforms. 

The concept film and companion soundtrack were recorded in January 2020 in Lisbon, Portugal during Madonna’s all-theater Madame X Tour. It was the first time Madonna performed live in smaller venues since her 1985 Virgin Tour. Her 2008 Sticky & Sweet Tour continues to hold the record for the highest-grossing concert tour ever by a female artist.

MADAME X was directed by Ricardo Gomes and SKNX. It captures the icon’s rare and rapturous tour performance, hailed by sold-out theatrical audiences worldwide. The unprecedented intimate streaming experience will take viewers on a journey as compelling and audacious as Madonna’s fearless persona, Madame X, a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identities, fighting for freedom, and bringing light to dark places. On stage during the production, Madonna is joined by a cast of nearly 50 performers, including her children, musicians, and dancers from around the globe, along with the all-female Orquestra Batukadeiras. 

The feature-length concert film and soundtrack feature tracks from Madonna’s 14th studio album, Madame X, including “Dark Ballet,” “I Rise,” and “I Don’t Search I Find,” which topped the Hot Dance Club Songs chart in 2020 to become her 50th #1 hit. The concert film also features live versions of global hits including “Vogue,” “Human Nature,” “Like A Prayer,” and “Frozen.”

MADAME X is available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Latin America, Australia, the Nordics, and Canada. Fans outside of these markets can watch it on MTV. 360 Magazine is pleased to see Madonna with a film and album project.

Twenty One Pilots × Roblox

Roblox and Warner Music Group announced the Twenty One Pilots Concert Experience, a pioneering interactive virtual concert powered by the latest Roblox technology. The fully immersive performance begins inside Roblox on Friday, September 17th at 4 p.m. PDT, kicking off the Grammy Award-winning Fueled By Ramen/Elektra artist’s sold out Takeover Tour.

The high-fidelity experience will feature the first-ever dynamic setlist dictated by fans in real-time; metaverse-spanning pre-concert quests involving some of Roblox’s most popular experiences that also feature custom portals that will transport users into the pre-concert venue; exclusive custom designed virtual merchandise, and much more. Fans can access the experience and join the pre-show festivities beginning today by visiting the Twenty One Pilots event page. New Roblox users will need to create an account to enter the concert venue.

Designed in close collaboration with the band and Eshleman, the Roblox event aligns with Twenty One Pilots’ fan-first philosophy, bringing this experience to fans worldwide. The five-song set will feature a combination of hit songs as well as new material from their 2021 album, Scaled and Icy.

The first-of-its-kind experience will include:

  • A dynamic setlist that gives users in each concert the ability to control the order of songs performed through instantaneous voting once the concert begins. Each song will feature its own meticulously designed set with a high level of fidelity and realism, powered by the latest in Roblox’s lighting, physically based rendering, and motion capture technologies.
  • Emotes, interactive features, and bespoke virtual merchandise (“verch”) including more than 30 exclusive custom-designed pieces available for purchase.
  • Metaverse-spanning pre-concert quests that will be integrated into three top Roblox experiences Ultimate Driving: Westover Islands, Creatures of Sonaria, and World // Zero, which collectively have over 400 million visits. These quests will enable users to earn Twenty One Pilots prizes and include portals that allow users to be transported into the Twenty One Pilots pre-concert venue from across the Roblox platform in the days leading up to the concert.
  • Behind the scenes footage detailing the creation of the virtual concert itself and a Q&A interview with the band, available now as part of the pre-concert experience.

Fans can replay performances at the top of each hour through Sunday, September 19 at 11 p.m. PDT.

Madonna and Warner Music Group today announced a milestone, career-spanning global partnership that includes a new agreement for her entire recorded music catalog. With global sales of over 300 million records, Madonna is the best-selling female artist of all time, with countless accolades that include seven Grammy Awards, 24 ASCAP Pop Music Awards, and numerous international trophies, including BRIT, Bravo Otto, Danish Music, Edison, GAFFA, International Dance Music, Ivor Novello, Juno, MTV, and World Music Awards, among many others across the globe. She was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2008.

This partnership marks the revitalization of a decades-long relationship with Warner that began with the release of Madonna’s debut single in 1982. The deal encompasses her entire Sire/Maverick/Warner catalog, including global smash albums such as MadonnaLike a VirginTrue BlueLike a Prayer, and Ray of Light. It also includes her three most recent studio albums, MDNARebel Heart, and Madame X, which will join the Warner catalog beginning in 2025. All in all, the new pact includes 17 studio albums plus singles, soundtrack recordings, live albums, and compilations.

Warner Chappell Music also globally administers all of Madonna’s songwriting work. This features such top-charting hits as “Like A Prayer,” “Vogue,” “Into the Groove,” “La Isla Bonita,” “Live to Tell,” “True Blue,” “Open Your Heart,” “Who’s That Girl,” “Express Yourself,” “Lucky Star,” “Take A Bow,” and many more.

2022 will mark the  40-year  anniversary of Madonna’s recording debut. This new deal heralds the launch next year of an extensive, multi-year series of catalog releases that will revisit the groundbreaking music that made her an international icon. For the first time, Madonna will personally curate expansive deluxe editions for many of her landmark albums, as well as introduce unique releases for special events, and much more. In other news, Madonna has announced her birthday wish for friends and supporters to adopt a bed at the Mercy James Centre hospital in Malawi, built especially for children. There are 50 beds in the hospital’s ward, where children recuperate after surgery or regain strength following intensive care. THE RADICAL × JOSHUA HENRY

The Radical, a weekly podcast, hosted by Nick Terzo, wraps up its first year by welcoming Tony-winning musician-actor Joshua Henry tomorrow. Singer-songwriter Jax has premiered her highly anticipated new single “90s Kids” – available now via Atlantic Records. The nostalgia-fueled anthem became an instant fan-favorite after being previewed on TikTok late last year, packed with all the quintessential decade references from Tamagotchi to Britney Spears.

“I’m obviously a 90s kid, and grew up with all these amazing trends that I’m still obsessed with today” said Jax. “One night at 3am I was just thinking of all the times I’d watched ‘Saved By The Bell,’ played Super Smash Bros, danced to Britney Spears and I just put it all in a voice memo. Next thing I knew by sunrise I had this anthem to rep all my fellow 90s babies.”

“90s Kids” follows the release of “Ring Pop,” Jaxs major label-debut which yielded a massive viral response and high-profile appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Access Hollywood & more. Initially teased on TikTok, “Ring Pop” instantly captivated fans with its honest lyrics that perfectly encapsulate the emotions being felt by so many in today’s predicament. Her warm delivery coasting over dreamy guitar and snappy percussion as she croons to her boyfriend, “Don’t need no diamonds, you’re my rock, and I’m okay with a ring pop.

Raised in New Jersey by way of New York, Jax got her start by performing a wide variety of genres and in bands growing up. At the age of 18, she developed cancer above her vocal cords, which returned following a couple months of remission right as she relocated to Los Angeles in pursuit of her music. Left unable to sing herself, Jax turned to songwriting for others and found industry success behind-the-scenes.

As her ability to perform returned, Jax needed to pivot yet again when the COVID-19 pandemic struck. This time she turned to TikTok, posting a hilarious response to the pop gem “Stacy’s Mom” from “Stacy’s Mom’s Perspective” which exploded with nearly 9 million views in just a few months and “Update from Avril Lavigne & Sk8er Boi 18 years later” which became her most successful parody to date with over 14.5 million views. She continued to go viral a dozen or more times over, eventually amassing over 1.6 million followers on the platform, 200 million total views and 28 million “likes.” With a massive online audience under her belt, Jax began sharing her own original music in late 2020 to an overwhelmingly positive response – ultimately leading to her singing with Atlantic Records for her forthcoming debut full-length.

An unapologetic artist who doesn’t hesitate to speak her mind, singer-songwriter-actress Kiyoko made a ton of buzz with her recent debut release Expectations and her rise to pop stardom continues to climb.
