CREATING EXCLUSIVITY

Tyler Gelb, who graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Economics, worked as a financial analyst for the multinational company Sony between 2010 and 2011. In 2019, to assemble the most exclusive luxury eyewear collection available in the world, the Monaco Series, Tyler became the founder and designer of his international brand, T HENRI, which specializes in limited-batch collectible eyewear productions handmade in Sabae, Japan. 

By keeping the key brand message “Handmade and done the old-fashioned way” in mind, T HENRI commits to creating heritage pieces through sustainable materials. The company currently presents in 15 countries and has gained recognition with the American magazine Forbes. Meanwhile, the excellent marketing team has made the brand successful in different parts of the United States and the world, such as the Netherlands or Liverpool (UK).

In 2020, during the pandemic caused by the coronavirus disease, Tyler decided to further accelerate the brand growth by designing something more exclusive than his competitors, especially to take advantage of the Caviar model, which is priced at almost 2K today. This unique collection includes three models: CorsaHydra, and Evo. One of the most notable designs of the collection is the adjustable nose pads which are made in premium quality minerals and could make users feel comfortable by adapting to the size of different noses. The sales that Tyler achieves with this product are high and very successful. 

Tyler adds that he wants to continue to maintain “a unique look that’s hard to come by about our product.” The designer is now creating a kind of high-end line. He and his team will start launching and photographing their campaigns with their grand premiere in September of 14 new models. These beta-titanium made frames are featured with aerodynamic characteristics from those high-performance cars. They are plated in various shades with 18-karat white gold, yellow gold, and rose gold. At the same time, to make the designs ergonomic, Tyler adds that the collections of T HENRI are returning to the colors radar blue and GO yellow as these tones give an exquisite and attractive result. The concept that he wants to carry forward with future productions would be limited to 99th percentile color combinations which would keep the products distinct. 

“Cars and watches are one of the biggest inspirations for me,” Tyler says. As a big fan of cars, Tyler is always galvanized by car brands such as Rolls-Royce for small accessories and Lamborghini for an attractive design. After being inspired by the world’s most talented independent brands, Tyler has created a new limitless eyewear collection, Continental, set in a boxy British Grand Tourer adapted on a high-speed, long-distance circuit. Each setting is electroplated with 1 micron of 18 karat gold, which produces a refined, exclusive, and polished shine.

As an eco and user-friendly brand, T HENRI takes the overall environmental impact and usability under consideration during the manufacturing process. The frames will always be kept as “sort of an organic look rich with color,” with being made in hypoallergenic cotton for human skin. 

Tyler mentions that the 2023 collection is already finished and will start with the 2024 one soon. By utilizing titanium as the new material for future collections, He maintains the idea that he is working on is way ahead to ensure all the designs are done right, as well as control material cost. 

LUXURY EXCLUSIVITY

Tyler’s concept as an entrepreneur is to “further differentiate our product”. Although art and design have a lot in common for him, both concepts have aesthetic purposes and contain the power to distinguish him from other brands. To preserve the exclusivity of the brand, Tyler made each limited production has only 50 pieces per style, and the color combination is laser-bonded and accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity with the designated production number. Tyler emphasizes that those exclusive pieces are gone and will never be produced again once a color combination is sold out.

As the launch of the new eyewear campaign approaches in September, T HENRI aims to start including a list of celebrities in their eyewear content, as the brand label. 

The company president’s Philosophy is to “believe in yourself” and be risky because “the risk you are taking is on yourself, you have much more control, so I have been able to be riskier.” Tyler states that “I assume and am able to control it and mitigate it instead of putting it in someone else’s hands. It’s a beautiful thing once it reaches a tipping point, but you just have to endure it until you get there.”

The collection that T HENRI represents is the pinnacle of refined luxury and innovative construction practices.

The interiors are designed around the client’s flight experience, with thorough attention to physical sensations and feelings. “We started with the client, around him we created a relaxing and comfortable environment, not only for the shapes and the design, but also for the visual sensation, for which we followed some chromotherapy principles. Even the smallest detail was given the maximum attention, so as to dynamically assist the client’s sensations across different time zones.” Infinito’s sky ceiling, entirely lined with digital displays, offers a play of light and images, for example, by projecting a sunset or a starry sky, minimising the physical and mental effects of jet lag.

“The feel of the materials, the warmth of the leather or the wood, the intelligence and sinuosity of the spaces, each detail has to convey emotions of peace and safety, like when we’re home or in a familiar and inspiring place.” continues Horacio Pagani on the choice of materials and the habitability of the aircraft. “Our idea is of a single, great space which fosters both movement and sensorial perceptions.” The absence of visual barriers, and the sense of infinite vision that surrounds the client, are the objectives of this tailored creation, simple but essential elements to facilitate a journey of several hours. The compartments inside are, in fact, provided with opacifying glass, when privacy is wished, supported by a carbon fiber framework, hand-made by the Modenese artisans, a homage to the first air inventions of the past centuries, and at the same time a highly robust solution.

ACJ319neo’s interior was entirely designed not only for artistic appeal, but also to be functional: after thorough research on internal spaces and volumes, ACJ Infinito’s compartments provide larger capacity while being less intrusive than other interior designs.

The feeling of hospitality in this ultra-luxurious jet continues with the choice of the single spaces within the aircraft. “At the entrance, a cafe. A genuine and heartfelt way to welcome your client is, of course, by providing refreshment!”. The feeling of familiarity, of home, that you can breathe within Infinito sometimes makes us forget about being on an airplane. This is the uniqueness that ACJ and Pagani Automobili have been striving for in the making of this flying artwork. Home is a safe and peaceful place, as well as a place of inspiration and emotions. Infinito aims to project the client into the same atmosphere of absolute relaxation, to stimulate his imagination and inspiration, reshaping the time of the journey into a time of ideas, visions and answers.

As a two-way mirror, you can see without being seen. Step through and find out with this collection, and the part of your soul using your imagination, whether it is dark or whether radiant…

The fall winter collection of the ABE by Ariane Chaumeil house, whose crafting remains done with the blowtorch glass, becomes richer with a new proposition: the metal paste making. Sculpted and cast, the metal paste is modelled, sanded, fired at high temperature, brushed and rubbed with a burnisher and polished several times in order to get pieces of golden and white bronze, and of pure copper, with a shiny, ancient rendering.

Designers Imelda and Eduardo aka Baroqco are citizens of the world . Their roots are from Dutch Chinese Indonesian and Portuguese descent, and this diversity is what provides foundation that leads to the inspiration and creation. BaroQco comes from Baroque, an era of change from simplicity to lively and exuberant detail. BaroQco stands alone with its unique grandeur and ability to surprise and to achieve a sense of awe. Imelda and Eduardo started to create jewelry as they were looking for a tiara or crown for their wedding day. At that time there were not a lot of options, so they decided to create their own tiara which lead others to ask whether they could also make necklaces and earrings.

The materials are opal ,gold and Swarovski and all the metalwork are nickel free, the usage of non toxic and – hazardous for plating makes the jewelry more ecofriendly.

National In-Store Event to Benefit St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Make to Give for St. Jude – All JOANN Stores Tomorrow

Like the dream inside the eye and the outside eye. Like the truth and vertigo of the depth of the fractal-cosmic spiral. As a picture, as truth, as the line that springs from my pen. Creating images and sculptures gives meaning to my existence and being me from the inside-out, so I can communicate with others. I am an insatiable explorer of the plastic techniques that I am encountering in my path, such as painting, watercolor, engraving, sculpture, design, etc. My search in these different lands has the same objective: to find the voice that is capable of taking out this animal-human being, who is thronging in my heart. The fine perfume of the flower of my spirit.

Biography

I remember as a child drawing horses and birds obsessively. The representation of images has always seemed to me as a matter that holds great power, as if in representing an object or being, somehow one was made with his skill, with his unique quality. I have always been surrounded by art. My father, in his poetic dimension, attracted artists from all disciplines to the house to share his presence and talent, some of them had a great impact on me. There was a very special one that made me the honor of taking me as a disciple for a short but unforgettable time: The great teacher Rodolfo Zanabria (who in peace rides in infinity with his maidens with long hair and beautiful faces). From him, I learned that the road is long and if you know how to walk you will reach the Magical Domain. Destiny had the willingness to be a Mexican-Catalan artist, spiritually and vitally grown and split between two ways of being, thinking and feeling. This has allowed me to exhibit and share my work on both sides of the Atlantic since my debut on the plastic scene, until today.

This company has designed two new trips to draw small women-only groups to Patagonia in 2018 and 2019. One trip is a multi-sport adventure; the other is an exploration on horseback.

 

Torres del Paine Multisport Adventure departure dates are Feb. 3-12 (waitlist being taken) and March 12-21, 2018. This program is also scheduled in 2019 for Feb. 3-12, March 2-11 and March 17-26. The per person double rate for 10 days and nine nights is $5,295 including English-speaking female guide and activity specialist guides, accommodations, all meals, and all equipment for excursions including sleeping bags for hiking overnights, mountain bikes, sea kayaks, horses and tack and corresponding safety equipment. The playground is an other-worldly landscape of peaks, glaciers, wild horses, pampas and lakes that composes Torres del Paine National Park. Challenges come by way of hiking up to eight hours per hike, kayaking, mountain biking up to four hours per outing, and a six-hour horseback ride. In adherence to sustainable practices, participants reside in tented Eco Camp Patagonia Domes, with two women paired in a tent and a scenic lodge in shared huts. Punta Arenas is the gateway. Patagonia Cordillera Riding Adventure departure dates are Jan 22-Feb. 1, Feb. 5-15 (waitlist being taken) and March 4-14, 2018. Dates for 2019 will be announced shortly. The per person double rate for 11 days and 10 nights is $3,395 including 11 days of horseback riding into the rugged heart of the Andes, the cordillera chain of mountain ranges, by way of strong and surefooted Argentine Criollos. The rate includes a seven-day pack trip; horses, pack mules and riding gear; professional female wrangler guides; 10 nights of on and off-grid shared accommodation including the first two nights and the night before departure at an estancia where Ranquilco Lodge showcases its eco-sensitive off-the-grid homestead systems; camping equipment; hand-crafted meals; laundry services; roundtrip transfers from Neuquen Airport to destination in the rugged heart of the Andes. Estancia hospitality serves up locavore along with off-the-grid living before heading to the cordillera (mountain range) to ride trails deep into the Andes and into the simple lifestyle of the gauchos.
