Lexus – December to Remember

Lexus ‘December to Remember’ Celebrates Moments of Connection. New commercial, Sprinkles giveaways spread holiday cheer with annual return of iconic campaign

Every year, Lexus ushers in the holidays with the December to Remember campaign including the familiar jingle, the red bow and the gift-giving moment. This year, the signature red bow returns with a twist in a new spot called “Time Machine.” And, in a holiday first, Lexus is partnering with Sprinkles to make December a bit sweeter with exclusive giveaways at nationwide Sprinkles locations courtesy of Lexus dealers.

“This year’s ‘December to Remember’ celebrates the holidays as a joyful time to reconnect with loved ones,” said Vinay Shahani, vice president of Lexus marketing. “Our dealers do a great job of extending hospitality to our guests year-round. This holiday season, on behalf of our dealers, we’re inviting guests to enjoy a special Sprinkles treat and pay it forward to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.”

Lexus continues to be a proud partner of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Starting on Giving Tuesday, November 29, guests will have the opportunity to donate through a unique link found on social and in Sprinkles stores when they pick up their complimentary holiday treats.  For every donation made through the link between November 29 and January 3, Lexus will match donations up to $250,000.

In the “Time Machine” commercial, debuting today, a young boy waits impatiently for the holidays. He becomes convinced that his family’s new RX is a time machine and wonders if it might make the holidays come faster. In a variation of the campaign’s signature gift-giving moment, this year’s gift comes in the form of the little boy being reunited with his older brother, who comes home early from college to surprise him. The red bow, instead of appearing on top of the car, appears on a present his brother brings with him. In addition, Lexus is bringing back two popular “December to Remember” spots from last year — “Runway” and “Wonderland.”

In its own gift-giving moment, Lexus is treating guests to an exclusive complimentary offer in partnership with Sprinkles at locations nationwide. From Friday, December 2, through Sunday, December 4, red velvet cupcakes will be gifted courtesy of Lexus and its dealers – each of the three days for one hour between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. (also while supplies last).

LIL MOE 6BLOCKA RELEASES NEW RAMBUNCTIOUS SINGLE AND VIDEO NOTHIN

Listen to Nothin here and watch the video here!

Rising Chicago rapper Lil Moe 6Blocka continues his hot streak with another speaker-rattling song and vivid video, Nothin. Listen here and watch here. The single arrives on the heels of recent hits like Leave Em Stretched and the simmering street anthem Risky featuring 22Gz.

The bass-heavy anthem is another example of Moe’s verbal dexterity and ability to turn witty phrases into stylish storytelling. He again takes aim at his opps, warning them to stay out of the way because he isnߣt slowing down any time soon. The track is hypnotic and succinct, with Moe letting loose a barrage of bars before the beat fades. Nothin offers another view of Moe’s post-drill style, bruising but effortlessly floating with the practiced flow of a seasoned veteran.

The video, directed by Billy Kauck, finds Moe in his hometown of Chicago, cruising in a black-on-black car, spitting bars outside of the window. Though the car is flashy, Moe spends the video in an abandoned parking lot, shrouded in gray. The visual helps highlight Moe’s grit and hustle, taking moments to celebrate his come-up, but always returning to his roots. He’s alone and focused with a one-track-mind. He’s showing off the finer things in life, but he’s not letting anyone else get in his way.

Nothin is the latest in a string of exciting new releases from Lil Moe 6Blocka and another example of how the teen is capturing the imagination of his city. Thoughtful, intense songs like Ion Know have inspired tastemaking platforms like Lyrical Lemonade and Daily Chiefers to name Moe among the region’s hottest rising rappers. The Risky remix with 22Gz won even more acclaim, garnering attention from HotNewHipHop, Uproxx, and STUPIDDOPE. HipHopDX even called the original version of Risky one of the best hip-hop songs of 2021. Lil Moe is the voice of a new generation in Chicago, a bridge between the drill scene of the 2010s and the next crew of superstars primed to take over the Windy City. He’s been surging through the streets garnering millions of views on his videos. With songs like Nothin out and more on the way, Moe clearly has no intentions of letting up anytime soon.

About Lil Moe 6Blocka

Lil Moe is Chicago’s newest star poised for the spotlight and, at just 16 years old, he’s hungry to prove his skyrocketing singles are the future. I see myself on every billboard in every city, everywhere. Everybody’s gonna know my name, he says with a confidence that he’s earning every day. On early effortlessly high-octane hits like Risky, Ion Know, What I Say, and 6Blocka, Moe already seems like a fully formed star. His videos are unfiltered and depict his life on the streets garnering millions of views. His voice growls with the aggression of Windy City legends like Chief Keef and G Herbo, but Moe relies on inventive wordplay and unparalleled charisma to stand out in a busy scene.

At 16, it’s nothing but a number for Moe, and he’s hell bent on proving himself in the music he’s making. Moe’s new songs reflect this confidence, but he’s aware the past is never too far behind. It’s this combination of unbridled optimism and the knowledge that things can always be worse that keeps him barrelling forward. Anyone who’s doubted me before probably wants to be close right about now. They’re trying to call back, and I ain’t trying to talk right now, he says.

ROSÉ OF BLACKPINK

SHARES DEBUT SOLO PROJECT ‘R’

SINGLE ALBUM FEATURES LONG-AWAITED TRACKS

“ON THE GROUND” & “GONE”

LATE NIGHT TV SOLO DEBUT ON THE TONIGHT SHOW STARRING JIMMY FALLON ON 3/16

Rosé of BLACKPINK shares her massively anticipated debut solo project, R. Released via YG Entertainment/Interscope Records, the single album consists of two unforgettably vulnerable tracks co-written by the K-pop icon: “On the Ground” and “Gone.”

Watch the video HERE

Go HERE to stream/download R by Rosé now.

Produced by frequent BLACKPINK collaborator TEDDY, acclaimed songwriter/producer/artist Jon Bellion (Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus), Jorgen Odegard (Justin Bieber, P!nk), Ojivolta (Selena Gomez, Halsey), and 24, “On the Ground” is an intimate look at the cost of ambition and chasing your dreams, with Rosé bringing her stunning vocal work to a gorgeous backdrop of soulful guitar tones and radiant beats. In creating the raw and reflective track, Rosé co-wrote with Bellion as well as heavy-hitters Amy Allen (Sam Smith, Zara Larsson) and Raul Cubina (Playboi Carti, Christina Aguilera).

On “Gone,” Rosé matches the pure emotional depth of “On the Ground,” this time offering up a stripped-back breakup ballad produced by Brian Lee (BLACKPINK, Post Malone, Camila Cabello). Accompanied by little more than the track’s hypnotic guitar work, her voice turns heartbreakingly tender as she delivers her confessional lyrics (“Now I’m all alone, crying ugly/You broke my heart just for fun/Took my love and just left me numb”).

Along with “On the Ground” and “Gone,” the CD and vinyl editions of R include instrumental versions of both tracks. Rosé is now the second member of BLACKPINK to release solo material, with singer/rapper Jennie having shared her single “SOLO” in November 2018.

R arrives just months after BLACKPINK dropped their debut full-length effort THE ALBUM. Released on October 2, the record-breaking project debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200, marking the biggest chart debut by an all-female group in over 12 years. With guest spots from fellow superstars Selena Gomez and Cardi B, THE ALBUM also smashed the record for highest first-week sales for a debut album from a K-pop group in all of music history. That same month, BLACKPINK premiered Light Up The Sky, an all-access Netflix documentary detailing the hard-fought journey behind the group’s meteoric rise.

ABOUT BLACKPINK:

Since bursting onto the scene in 2016, BLACKPINK have redefined the possibilities of K-pop, transcending all categorization and ascending to global stardom. With their unstoppably catchy single “DDU-DU DDU-DU,” the South Korean quartet broke the record for highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 debut by an all-female K-pop act, while its head-turning video surpassed 10 million views in just six hours and racked up 36.2 million views in one day.

Discovered by YG Entertainment, BLACKPINK is comprised of JISOO, JENNIE, ROSÉ and LISA: four immensely charismatic vocalists, dancers, and burgeoning fashion icons. Released in 2016, their debut “SQUARE ONE” quickly proved their crossover power; in 2018, “SQUARE UP” climbed to #40 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the Billboard World Albums chart. Several months after “SQUARE UP” hit the charts, YG Entertainment and Interscope Records announced a global partnership for BLACKPINK, paving the way for the group’s international breakthrough. With their EP Kill This Love arriving in April 2019, BLACKPINK further boosted their popularity by successfully completing a world tour and becoming the first K-pop girl group to perform at Coachella, the largest music festival in the U.S.

Queen’s Greatest Hits

Queen’s cornerstone “Greatest Hits” album is, once again, in the Top 10 of Billboard’s 200.

Released in 1981, the album has been on the charts for 412 weeks, finally landing at No. 8, up from its previous spot at No. 36. It previously peaked at No. 11 in 1992, the year following front man Freddie Mercury’s untimely death.

The now nine-time platinum album is also No. 1 on Billboard’s Vinyl Albums Chart with the second-largest sales week of 2020 for any vinyl release.

With monster hits from the iconic rock band like “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “We Will Rock You,” “We Are The Champions,” “Fat Bottomed Girls,” “Another One Bites the Dust” and so many more, it’s no wonder the album has stood the test of time.

Queen recently teamed up with both Target and Walmart to release brand new vinyl exclusives. Both are two-disc LPs, 180 gram.

Those opting for the Target exclusive will be treated to ruby blend marble vinyl while those who purchase from Walmart will receive red and white vinyl. The biggest fans of Queen might even be found purchasing both.

The band also recently released a live album with American Idol alum Adam Lambert at the helm. The album is titled “Queen + Adam Lambert Live Around The World,” and it landed at No. 1 on the UK’s official albums chart.

It was the first time a Queen album topped a chart since 1995’s “Made in Heaven.”

Queen is no stranger to the top ten, as this is their ninth album to land there. It will join the soundtrack for “Bohemian Rhapsody,” “Greatest Hits I, II & III: The Platinum Collection,” “Classic Queen,” “The Game,” “Jazz.” “News of the World,” “A Day at the Races” and “A Night at the Opera.”

Queen’s “Greatest Hits” is still the best-selling album of all-time in the UK.

Mae Muller – dependent

Mae Muller dropped a brand new music video Wednesday for her song “dependent.”

The new video from the North London-based singer is directed by Sophia Ray, who has worked with artists like Lily Allen, Ty Dolla $ign and Amber Mark. You can see it by clicking right here.

Muller said this is one of her favorite videos she has ever done.

“I loved collaborating with the super talented Sophia Ray and the team that brought the concept of the song to life. The looks, the dancers, everything is on point! I really wanted to do this song justice with a stunning video and feel like we’ve really achieved that,” Muller said.

The song opens her debut EP, which is titled “no one else, not even you,” and it takes a look at the joy of finding love in combination with the fear of losing your individuality. The EP contains eight tracks and showcases Muller’s undeniably fearless and fun style of pop music.

She said she wrote the song at the beginning of a relationship at a time during which she could feel herself falling in love but felt scared at the same time.

“That’s what always happens when I start to fall for someone: instead of going with the flow and just enjoying myself, I start to panic a bit because of the power you have to give up,” she said. “This song is me being totally honest about not wanting to become dependent on someone, because my independence is so important to me.”

The song is co-written by Henrik Michelson of Electric, and it is produced and written with help from Rick Nowels, Jimmy Napes, Skyler Stonestreet and Kenny Beats.

At 23 years old, Muller has already racked up more than 100 million global streams and has been featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and Apple Music’s A-List Pop, In My Room, Future Hits and more.

She also sold out a 2020 headline tour of the United Kingdom, proving her ability to build a fan base around the entire world.

Critics and press are also loving Muller.

GQ said, “Mae Muller’s witty and brutally honest lyrics set her apart from her peers.”

Flaunt said, “Mae Muller is your new favorite singerߪHer goal is to be a spokeswoman for this new generation, unveiling layers of authenticity, talent, beauty and confidence.”

Wonderland called her a “clear pop sensation in the making,” while The Guardian said listeners can “expect an abundance of attitude.”

How Marijuana is Becoming More Popular in Pop Culture

Cannabis in pop culture isn’t exactly a new concept. You’ve probably heard plenty of songs and seen a variety of movies where people talk about weed. However, the influence of this substance on pop culture might be bigger than you’d think. It turns out that almost half of all the US hip-hop and R&B songs in the industry have some mention of cannabis. Historically, people have largely referenced marijuana in the same vein, connecting it to lazy stereotypical stoner types. This concept is something that many people appreciated several years ago, but it’s quickly becoming outdated in a world where scientific research is beginning to demonstrate the potential of this natural substance for medical purposes. As the benefits of marijuana continue to be researched and proven, people seeking a natural healing process have obtained a medical marijuana card in order to get relief from pain, anxiety, and depression. Things are beginning to turn a corner in the pop culture landscape, but it’s a slow process, and we have a long way to go.

The Changing Presence of Cannabis in Culture

Say the word marijuana to most people and they’ll think of old-fashioned stoner portrayals that represent anyone who uses this drug as lazy and under-educated. Over the years, the way that we view this product has been mostly negative, thanks to the way that television and movie producers used the drug to represent a very specific kind of character. Today, studies indicate that pop culture is referencing weed more than ever before, but the general attitude to it might be changing.

We’re beginning to see the substance from a new perspective on the television and movie screens, because the attitude of the public is changing. These days, it’s becoming much more acceptable for people to use natural products like marijuana for the treatment of various conditions. You can get your Nevada medical marijuana card in a matter of minutes online from NuggMD, with a quick and easy process that only bills you on approval. It’s part of everyday life for a lot of individuals. As laws around the drug continue to change, so too do the opinions of the people who view this product as a pop culture icon.

Taking on a New Light

Scientific study and access to more data about the benefits that the right strain of certain substances can have on particular diseases is leading to a more educated community. We know today that there’s more to this plant than we originally thought, and many experts believe that it could be the key to managing some very serious and life-changing conditions. The people who use marijuana today aren’t just college kids looking to pass time or get high between classes.

Although there are still many states that offer the product recreationally, it also has much more important benefits that are worth considering too. Not only is cannabis a great medicine, but it can also be a product that helps to relieve anxiety and reduce inflammation. People are even discovering new ways to experiment with the product in the form of CBD oils and various edibles. The landscape is beginning to evolve, and soon, the demand for a new view of weed in pop culture will be greater than ever.

Disclosure – Birthday

UK duo Disclosure has released their third single of the year less than two days from the release of their newest album “ENERGY.”

The new song is titled “Birthday” and features Kehlani and Syd.

Howard and Guy, the two brothers who make up the duo, bring fans back to the R&B sound of their second album with “Birthday.” They finished the track very quickly, and it easily made the cut to be on the upcoming album.

Along with the album’s release on Friday, Disclosure will release a new music video for “Birthday.” The video is directed by Kid Studio, a duo that has worked with Disclosure before along with other artists like Future and French Montana.

Howard said the song is about relationships with exes long after a breakup. Is it still okay to call them on their birthday?

“It’s the oldest song on the album by far, so it has definitely stood the test of time and deservedly made the cut” Guy said. “The addition of Kehlani just took it to the next level and turned it into a fire duet.”

They have also partnered with Minecraft for the release of “ENERGY,” as gamers can immerse themselves into the vibrant world of the new album. Made up of over 100 million blocks, players will look for 13 hidden records. To see the trailer for Disclosure’s “ENGERGY” Minecraft Experience, you can click right here.
