Halsey’sIf I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power Film Experience will debut on Thursday, October 7, on HBO Max in the U.S. as a MAX ORIGINAL film. HBO Max has acquired the film after a limited theatrical run in IMAX theaters, which broke nearly $1M at the box office after selling out in 70+ theaters globally. Halsey and the filmmakers were represented by WME and Endeavor Content in the distribution deal.
Set to the music of Halsey’s fourth studio album, this one-of-a-kind film experience stars the two-time GRAMMY nominee as the young and pregnant Queen Lila. After a shocking event, Lila unlocks a paranormal power within and discovers her ability to create life (and end it). Offering a stunning visual treat for fans, this evocative, horror-tinged fairytale explores the labyrinth of sexuality and birth. If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power was written by Halsey and directed by Colin Tilley. The album was produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. The film was produced by Halsey, Jamee Ranta and Anthony Li.
This Saturday, October 9, Halsey will make their fourth appearance as musical guest on Saturday Night Live. If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power recently debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Current Albums chart their third consecutive release to top the tally. Hailed as Halsey’s best album yet by Vulture, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power also topped Billboard’s Alternative Albums, Vinyl Albums and Tastemaker Albums charts and claimed the #01 position on the Spotify Top 10 Global Album Debuts chart.
In a four-star review, NME praised the album as “an intricate and an endlessly compelling artistic statement that only Halsey could have made.”Pitchfork observed, Halsey lets horror of the body, of the mind, of mortality radiate outward. The result is alluring and spectral. It’s their best work yet. SPIN said, Halsey is not a woman, they’re a rock God. And IICHLIWP proves she’s earned the title.

Pureaty Naturals – Biotin Hair Serum
One of those products that went viral over quarantine, none other than this biotin hair serum from Pureaty Naturals.
Prior to trying the Pureauty formula, one person says that nothing seemed to help their drain-clogging hair loss. Within two weeks, the cycle turned around: “The results are AMAZING! I legit only had like two strands fall out per shower.” They continue, “The only downside: I didn’t find this product sooner. I could not be happier. Thank you so much to whoever made this. You literally saved my depressed soul from losing my hair.”
Another person “desperate” to reverse their chemo-thinned hair says their hair loss is now so minimal, the results are “hard to believe.” But by all accounts it doesn’t much matter what’s behind the hair loss — the Pureauty’s hydrators, including the glycerin and squalane mentioned above, keep your scalp optimally moisturized regardless. As the last person concludes: “Thank you, little bottle of serum.”

The CBD industry has become an oversaturated $2.1 billion market notorious for a lack of consumer awareness, large corporations, and countless athletes/celebrities fronting brands (without any real involvement in the company). However, a few smaller CBD brands are setting themselves apart through a purpose-driven mission and commitment to product quality.
Cornbread Hemp is one of the rare few that has been able to gain market share as an underdog, in large part due to its signature Flower-Only™, full spectrum, and USDA-certified organic hemp. They are going down a different path, not cutting corners, and offering a product that is light years ahead of what you see at your local convenience store.
The founders at Cornbread Hemp have made taking on corporate CBD as one of their causes to ensure that consumers know what is in the product they are ingesting or rubbing on their bodies. Co-founder Jim Higdon has said that “what most consumers don’t know is that corporate hemp manufacturers produce substandard products, only to dress them up with the term ‘Whole Plant.'”

Tenacious Toys is thrilled to continue their support of independent creators and manufacturers with a pair of exclusive releases at the end of this week.
This first drop is “Best Day Ever,” a large scale 10-inch-tall vinyl art toy designed and self-produced by artist Ezra Brown. Best Day Ever depicts Ezra’s character Happy the Clown as he’s walking down the street… about to step on a nail.
Best Day Ever is limited to just 100 pieces as a co-exclusive between Tenacious Toys and Ezra Brown. Packaged in a fun, retro style art box, Best Day Ever will debut on the Tenacious homepage on Thursday August 12th at noon EST for $160 each, which includes free US shipping and a free Tenacious Toys enamel pin.
About Best Day Ever
Brown came up with the Happy character right before the pandemic. At first he was just going to be an ordinary character… nothing special. But as time went on and we entered into a global pandemic, he took on a totally different role. Happy came to symbolize what we all wanted in a time of despair. People wanted to make sense of what was going on around them, and Brown felt that this character could have a much deeper meaning. So that’s how he evolved from just an ordinary character to a whole mood.
He’ll be in everyday situations that any of us could go through, but sometimes we just don’t know how to make sense of them. Happiness is our emotions translated into cartoon form. That’s how Brown came up with the idea for the vinyl toy. Happy is their first vinyl art toy and they felt really good about the whole thing so that’s why I decided to name it Best Day Ever. Yeah he’s happy-go-lucky, whistling, etc, but if you notice he’s about to step on a nail. So “Best Day Ever” is also Brown’s sarcastic play on words… like when you’re having a bad day and you say “Best day ever!”
About Ezra Brown
Ezra Brown’s art is a mixture of pop surrealism and vintage-style lowbrow. He’s a painter, illustrator and dabbles in wood cuts as well. And he is now a toy designer and manufacturer!

OPENING ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 IN THE HEART OF SOHO, LONDON
ANNOUNCE EXCLUSIVE THIRD MAN RELEASES FROM UK ARTISTS LIKE PAUL WELLER, DAVID RUFFIN, THE JESUS & MARY CHAIN, CORNERSHOP, GINA BIRCH OF THE RAINCOATS, AND THE MAGIC ROUNDABOUT IN CELEBRATION OF THE STORE OPENING
Jack White and Third Man Records have announced the opening of their Third Man Records London Store, their first location outside the USA. Situated on Marshall Street in the heart of London’s historic Soho—an area renowned for its rich musical history—the London store will complete a trio of Third Man physical spaces that includes buildings in Nashville, TN and Detroit, MI. The new location will feature a two-level retail space, an intimate live music venue named “The Blue Basement,” and a European headquarters for the label.
Located at 1 Marshall Street, London W1F 9BA, the store will officially open to the public on Saturday, September 25. It has been personally designed by Third Man founder Jack White, who recently launched Jack White Art & Design via a comprehensive multimedia website cataloguing two decades of his award-winning creative work, alongside the Third Man creative hive of artists. The store was conceptualized and created throughout 2020 and 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the aim of creating a physical space to help keep record sales and live performances alive after such a tough period for everyone.
Furthermore, in celebration of the opening, Third Man Records approached some of their favorite ever UK artists—Paul Weller, David Ruffin, The Jesus & Mary Chain, Cornershop, Gina Birch of The Raincoats and the great, lost Manchester group The Magic Roundabout—to record something brand new or contribute something previously unheard to the Third Man catalogue. These exclusive releases will be available to buy on black vinyl on September 25 from the Third Man Webstore (soon to be expanding to the UK/EU), at all three Third Man Records stores, and independent record shops everywhere, and on very limited edition yellow vinyl in the Third Man London store only.
Third Man Records London will be multi-functional, tripling up as a two-level retail space, an intimate live music venue named “The Blue Basement,” and a European headquarters for Third Man Records. It will feature a host of the kind of quirks, details and idiosyncrasies Third Man have become renowned around the world for.
These include a Third Man Records token-operated lucky dip book machine designed by the Toronto-based artist Craig Small. Titled the “Literarium,” it is only the second of its kind in the world and much loved by the likes of Margaret Atwood. The store will also feature a Third Man Records token-operated recording booth where artists and the public can record their own material straight to vinyl.
The official announcement follows much speculation and guesswork from eagle-eyed Third Man fans, who noticed the painting of eight fake, rotating store fronts at the 1 Marshall Street address. These fronts included Swank’s Muscle Tee Emporium, Jack Sharp’s Upholstery Tacks and Harry Lime’s Penicillin, all of which claimed to be under the umbrella of the fantastical Absurd Scam Family of Businesses. Last week, all UK subscribers to Third Man Records’ The Vault subscription service received a physical invitation for September 25 to the grand opening of one of these scam companies.

In the early 1980s, while the music industry was grappling with the arrival of new trends and technology, from MTV to compact discs to digital recording, Bob Dylan was writing and recording new songs for a new decade, creating an essential new chapter in his studio catalog. The latest in Columbia/Legacy’s highly acclaimed Bob Dylan Bootleg Series revisits an often-forgotten, rich vein in Dylan’s vast and complex catalog, shining fresh light on the provocative new musical directions Dylan was taking as a songwriter and a recording artist from 1980 through 1985. Bob Dylan – Springtime In New York (1980-1985) celebrates the rich creative period surrounding Dylan’s albums Shot Of Love, Infidels, and Empire Burlesque with previously unreleased outtakes, alternate takes, rehearsal recordings, live performances and more.
Third Man Records, in conjunction with Sony/Legacy, is humbled to release a limited edition 4LP vinyl collection of Bob Dylan – Springtime In New York: The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 (1980-1985) as their 49th Vault package. The songs on the Third Man Vault will be the ONLY vinyl release of those 42 songs. There is NO material overlap between the 2xLP version from Sony/Legacy and the 4xLP release from Third Man.
LP One of Bob Dylan –Springtime In New York: The Bootleg Series Vol. 16 (1980-1985) was recorded in 1980 and 1981 and finds Dylan rehearsing a variety of his own catalog compositions (“Señor (Tales of Yankee Power)”), rearranging some traditional folk tunes (“Jesus Met the Woman at the Well,” “Mary of the Wild Moor”) and revving up a selection of surprising covers (“Mystery Train” featuring Ringo Starr, “Fever,” “Abraham, Martin and John”) with a group of musicians including Frank Fred Tackett (guitar), David Mansfield (mandolin), Willie Smith (keyboards), Tim Drummond (bass), Jim Keltner (drums) and background vocals by Clydie King, Carolyn Dennis, Gwen Evans, and Regina McCrary.
LP Two of Bob Dylan – Springtime In New York (1980-1985) is devoted to outtakes and alternate takes of recordings, produced by Chuck Plotkin for Shot of Love, as well as material Bob Dylan wrote for Infidels, performed by the all-star band assembled for the album, produced by Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler, which featured Knopfler (guitar), Mick Taylor (guitar), Alan Clark (keyboards), Robbie Shakespeare (bass) and Sly Dunbar (drums).
LP Four of the album includes live tracks (“Enough Is Enough” from Slane Castle, Ireland, and “License to Kill” from Late Night with David Letterman, March 22, 1984) alongside alternate takes and outtakes from the Empire Burlesque sessions, produced by Bob Dylan, including the premiere of the new song “Straight A’s in Love.”
According to the Producer’s Note in the album: “The alternate takes selected for this set are different than the ones released on previous volumes of The Bootleg Series. They are included here to illustrate the musical journey Bob Dylan undertook during these years.”
In his liner notes for Bob Dylan –Springtime In New York, Damien Love writes, “And that’s the real story of this gloriously untrammeled collection. The songs. The songs stripped free of trappings, tampering, passing tastes, and judgements. The songs broken down to the sound of people really doing this, right now, acting on instinct. The songs rough and rowdy, bruised and tender, joking and crying, nagging and striving and yearning. The songs were always there, and here they are still, keeping pace with us.”
Fans have only until July 31st to subscribe to Third Man Records Vault, where they will automatically receive this package. Visit here to sign up.

HEARTLESS BASTARDS SHARE NEW SONG “PHOTOGRAPH” – LISTEN
ACCLAIMED ROCK ‘N’ ROLL BAND HERALD FIRST ALBUM IN MORE THAN FIVE YEARS WITH EMPATHETIC NEW SINGLE
A BEAUTIFUL LIFE ARRIVES VIA SWEET UNKNOWN RECORDS/THIRTY TIGERS ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 10
Acclaimed rock ‘n’ roll band Heartless Bastards have announced today’s premiere of “Photograph,” the latest single from their eagerly awaited new album, A Beautiful Life. On the new track, Heartless Bastards frontwoman Erika Wennerstrom says:
“Photograph” is about building bridges. We have to approach each other with love and give each other some room to grow. When we went into the studio the song was conceptual in form, and with its complicated structure, I wasn’t even sure it was going to work. I put trust in my instincts and had faith it was all going to translate. There weren’t a lot of rehearsals leading up to it. It was fresh and exciting to dive right in. There can be a lot of magic in those moments where you’re vulnerably finding your way through a new song and the recording light is on. Having the brilliant musicianship of Jesse Ebaugh, Greg Clifford, and Lauren Gurgiolo was monumental. Lauren and I trading leads over a psychedelic landscape might be one of my favorite musical moments to date. It was everything I hoped it would be and then some. I really feel the stars aligned and we created something really special.”
Heartless Bastards’ sixth studio album and first new music in more than half a decade, A Beautiful Life arrives via Sweet Unknown Records/Thirty Tigers on Friday, September 10; pre-orders are available now, including a limited edition hand-poured double LP and special merchandise available exclusively from the Sweet Unknown Records Official Store.
LIMITED EDITION VINYL AND EXCLUSIVE MERCHANDISE ARE AVAILABLE HERE
A Beautiful Life was heralded last month with the soulful new single, “How Low,” available now at all DSPs and streaming services; an official music video – directed by documentary filmmakers Sam Wainwright Douglas and David Hartstein – is streaming via YouTube. “How LowÉd; was met by instant acclaim, with Rolling Stone declaring it to be “a satisfying summer song with a deeper message in its lyrics,” further noting how the song’s companion video “juxtaposes the vacuous Instagram life with images of poverty, natural disaster, and ultimately acts of kindness.”
A Beautiful Life once again sees Heartless Bastards founder Erika Wennerstrom alchemizing her idealism into viscerally potent rock ‘n’ roll. Co-produced by Wennerstrom and Kevin Ratterman (Strand Of Oaks, Jim James, White Reaper), the album – which follows 2015’s Restless Ones –finds the Austin, TX-based singer-songwriter backed by a powerhouse lineup comprising guitarist Lauren Gurgiolo (Okkervil River), drummer Greggory Clifford (White Denim), multi-instrumentalist Jesse Chandler (Mercury Rev, Midlake), keyboardist Bo Koster (My Morning Jacket), guitarist David Pulkingham (Patty Griffin), and longtime Heartless Bastards bassist Jesse Ebaugh.
Though Wennerstrom first considered releasing A Beautiful Life under her own name as the follow-up to her widely praised 2018 solo debut, Sweet Unknown, she ultimately came to view the new album as a continuation of the journey begun on Heartless Bastards’ milestone 2005 debut, Stairs and Elevators. Indeed, with its coalescence of so many eclectic touchstones – from French pop and Celtic folk to space rock, Disney scores, and post-punk – A Beautiful Life stands tall as Heartless Bastards’ most elaborately realized work to date. Songs such as the sprawling, psychedelic epic, “Photograph” and the rambling folk of “The River” (the latter featuring contributions from such singular musicians as Andrew Bird and Persian sitar virtuoso Fared Shafinury) channel Wennerstrom’s nuanced observations into glorious music that incites contemplation, catharsis, and a joyful sense of defiance.
“For me music is a gift,” says Wennerstrom. “I do it because I love it, and because it helps me feel more connected to the world. I think we all long for a deep connection, and I hope this record adds to the conversation on how we as a species can stop seeing ourselves as separate. I hope it helps everyone to think about how we can look out for each other, take care of each other, and lift each other up.”
A Beautiful Life also includes Heartless Bastards’ 2020 single, “Revolution,” available now on all digital platforms. An official music video – also directed by Sam Wainwright Douglas and David Hartstein – is streaming now at YouTube HERE.
The passionate energy and undeniable musical chemistry of A Beautiful Life inspired Wennerstrom to invite Gurgiolo and Clifford into the Heartless Bastards lineup for their upcoming live schedule, set to get underway September 16 at Stickyz in Little Rock, AR and then travel through late November. Due to demand in sales, Heartless Bastards at The State Room in Salt Lake City is being moved to The Commonwealth Room. The band recently made its live debut with a sold out two-night-stand at Austinߣs beloved Mohawk Austin, hailed by the Austin Chronicle as “front-loaded with fresh, interesting material. If you didn’t know better, you’d think the improbably tight unit had been playing together for five years.”
Building upon the amazing night they had at the Mohawk, Heartless Bastards have now announced a weekly residency in Austin for the month of August. “It’s been a rough year and a half for venues and we thought supporting some of our local spots would be a great way to warm up for tour,” says Wennerstrom. “We’ll be playing every Friday at C-Boys, and every Saturday at The Continental accompanied by some of our dear friends. With preparing to release the bands sixth record we have no shortage of material to make each night unique, and it’s been just as much fun to revisit the old material as it will be to share with you the new record. After 2020 it’s been hard to even put into words the gratitude we all have for the opportunity to perform music again, and it’s something we don’t want to ever take for granted.” For updates and ticket availability, please visit www.theheartlessbastards.com/tour.

In tandem with the release, the band engaged fans to support the Louisville Pride Foundation, who are raising funds to open an ADA-compliant LGBTQ+ Community Center in Louisville, KY. The Center will be a home for events, programming, and connection to services/resources ranging from substance abuse to intimate partner violence to housing. They will provide backbone support to the city’s LGBTQ+ community and the organizations who support it. The Center is especially close to the bands’ hearts as it will serve as a tangible space for queer individuals living in the South to feel safe.
To help meet the Foundation’s fundraising goal of $20k to open their doors during Louisville Pride this September, RKS has launched exclusive pride merch items including a t-shirt, socks, and a vinyl slipmat [available here]. The band has partnered with PLUS1 so that 100% of the proceeds will go to support the Foundation. An option is also available for fans to donate straight to the organization in addition to or in lieu of any purchases made.

Bleachers are set to release their highly anticipated 3rd album Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night due out July 30th 2021 via RCA Records. In late 2020 they offered up the first taste of new music to preview the album with the release of Chinatown ft. Bruce Springsteen and 45. This music is the follow up to their critically acclaimed second album, Gone Now, which came out on June 2nd, 2017. The first single Don’t Take The Money hit #3 at Alternative Radio. Ahead of the album release, The New York Times put out a piece that called Bleachers’ new music anthemic life-affirming pop-rock. Bleachers, who are known for their incredible live shows, headlined a North American tour in support of the album, which included a number of major festival dates like Sasquatch Festival, Governors Ball, and Firefly Music Festival. Five-time Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, musician, and producer, Jack Antonoff, is the creative force behind Bleachers.
Jason Isbell has established himself as one of the most respected and celebrated songwriters of his generation. The North Alabama native possesses an incredible penchant for identifying and articulating some of the deepest, yet simplest, human emotions, and turning them into beautiful poetry through song. Isbell sings of the everyday human condition with thoughtful, heartfelt, and sometimes brutal honesty. Isbell broke through in 2013 with the release of Southeastern. His next two albums, Something More Than Free (2015) and The Nashville Sound (2017), won Grammy Awards for Best Americana Album & Best American Roots Song. Isbell’s song Maybe It’s Time was featured in the 2019 reboot of A Star Is Born. His latest full-length, Reunions (2020), is a critically-acclaimed collection of ten new songs that showcases an artist at the height of his powers and a band fully charged with creativity and confidence.
