BTS × LOUIS VUITTON

BTS Generates Millions of Impressions for New Louis Vuitton Collection, K-Pop Stars Have Become Fashion’s Most Powerful Influencers

Louis Vuitton’s new partnership with K-Pop superstars BTS proves the band has a monumental impact on every brand they touch. Louis Vuitton designer Virgil Ablog surprised the world this morning with the release of a spin-off fashion walk film named “Hope,” dedicated to his fall/winter 2021 menswear collection modeled by the world’s biggest boyband. Earlier this year, BTS became LV house ambassadors and have been advocating for the monogrammed pieces ever since.

The film marks their first big showcase for the brand. Directed by Jeon Gowoon and Park Syeyoung, each member presents a new look designed by Abloh as they navigate through an industrial space filled with Vuitton models, and a seemingly endless maze of staircases. Because this is their first official high-fashion collaboration (previously only with athletic brands such as Puma and Fila), the BTS fanbase ARMY was absolutely geeking out on Twitter.

Thanks to their appearance in Louis Vuitton’s #LVMenFW21 fashion show in Seoul, where members of the group modelled the new collection, social media posts featuring BTS accounted for 9 of the top 10 most engaged fashion-related posts in the past week. BTS-related LV posts generated 5M interactions for the brand in just 7 days, compared to less than 400K mentions for all non-BTS mentions of LV in the same period.

Not to mention, with their ever-growing popularity; BTS bounds onto the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart at #1 with their new single “Permission to Dance.” The boyband supplants itself at the top spot, as their previous single “Butter” falls to #7 after seven consecutive weeks at #1.

The dominant influence of K-Pop is just one of many surprising trends that has changed the way consumers engage with fashion and beauty brands over the past year. The latest Fashion & Beauty Industry Report from consumer intelligence platform, Talkwalker, reveals how apparel and cosmetics brands are adapting to the latest changes in post-pandemic consumer behavior, from the rise of athleisure culture to the resilience of makeup tutorials as a content cornerstone even during the work-from-home era.

Whether people are working from home or in the office, how they look and feel remains a consistent topic of online conversation. What’s changed is who people look to for their sense of style and self,” said Todd Grossman, CEO of Talkwalker Americas. “K-Pop stars like BTS have shown a tremendous ability to excite fans to engage with brands on a seismic level, bringing far more attention to a legacy brand than it could otherwise generate on its own.

TWENTY ØNE PILØTS – “LEVEL OF CONCERN”

Twenty One Pilots have shared “Level of Concern,” a brand-new song written and recorded amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The song, which encourages hope during difficult times, is available today on all streaming platforms and joined by an official music video directed by longtime collaborator Reel Bear Media.

The duo of Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun will donate a portion of the proceeds from “Level of Concern” to Crew Nation, a global relief fund for live music crews, which aims to help touring and venue crews affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

Twenty One Pilots’ frontman Tyler Joseph revealed to fans on Twitter recently that he had been working on new music while in self-isolation expressing, “always writing, but this one feels like it should just come out now.” Joseph added, “I think it’s simple but hopeful,” noting that it’s the first song he has ever written on electric guitar.

“Level of Concern” is the first new music from Twenty One Pilots since the release of their acclaimed 2018 LP TRENCH. “TRENCH revels in the confounding genre-blurring and cavernous conceptualism that has defined Twenty One Pilots,” declared Billboard. Upon release Trench made a massive global impact with the RIAA gold certified collection earning the GRAMMY® Award winning duo their biggest sales week ever in the U.S., with 175,000 units sold in its first week. A true global phenomenon having surpassed two billion streams worldwide, TRENCH earned Twenty One Pilots Top 5 chart debuts around the globe including the U.S., U.K., Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, and The Netherlands.

TRENCH is highlighted by the #1 Alternative singles “The Hype,” “Chlorine,” and “Jumpsuit,” the latter of which became the decade’s fastest rising song to reach #1 on Billboard’s “Alternative Songs” chart, and also earned the duo their fourth GRAMMY® nomination (Best Rock Song). TRENCH also features album standouts “Nico And The Niners,” “Levitate,” and “My Blood.”

Last year Twenty One Pilots’ announced that their 2013 LP VESSEL achieved a Gold & Platinum milestone with every individual track from the album receiving Gold, Platinum or Multi-Platinum certification from the RIAA. Twenty One Pilots’ 2015 LP BLURRYFACE was the first album of the digital era to achieve this feat back in 2018, making the duo from Columbus, OH the first artist / group with two albums to reach this landmark achievement.

Three Top Tips on Buying Your First Car

As soon as you pass your driving test, all you want to do is get out on the roads in your very own car. As exciting as this time may be, however, it’s still highly beneficial to exercise a bit of caution and patience. When it comes to buying your first motor there’s nothing smart about rushing in– doing so will see you face more problems further down the road.

Exercising caution doesn’t mean being inactive when it comes to finding the perfect car for you, though. You should still be proactive at this time, and you should still try to set up your life as a driver in the most fruitful way possible. To find three top tips on how to buy your first car in the right way, read on.

1. Sort out the financial aspects of the venture

Before you do anything else in your car-buying venture, you need to work out your budget as well as how much you are willing to spend. This is essential because it’ll stop your spending from spiraling out of control, no it’ll help you avoid paying too little and then having to face any buying regrets further down the line.

You also have to take future running costs into account. It’s no good just factoring the cost of the car into your financial plans. You also have to deliberate insuring the vehicle, getting it taxed, getting it tested, and then having work done to it to ensure it is roadworthy.

Something else that you must consider is how you are going to pay for your car. Are you able to buy the car outright, or will you be going down the financing route? Regarding the latter, if you wish to take out a car loan to cover your bill, then you should check out the best auto loans at Crediful.com. Doing so will help you make the most informed decision on the matter possible.

2. Be scrupulous when it comes to checking your chosen car

You may think that you have found the perfect car for you, but that might not necessarily be the case. Any vehicle can be made to look and sound good on the outside, but you cannot commit to anything until you’ve meticulously checked that your chosen car is in good working order. That means checking to ensure that the quality of your car is in keeping with its age, its model, and the number of miles it has to run; this means ensuring that the car can carry out all functions and purposes expected of it; and this means it matches its descriptions exactly. If you can’t perform these tests yourself, then have a trusted mechanic carry them out for you. Only then will any underlying problems with the car be unearthed, and only when these troubles are unearthed can you stop them from becoming actual headaches of yours.

If you want your first car to truly help you in your quest to grow as a driver, then it needs to be in full working order. Taking the above advice is the first step, but there is something else that you must do: take it for a spin. Only when you get behind the wheel yourself can you get a feel for the car’s capabilities. When you take it for a ride, you should test the clutch and the brakes to ensure they do not feel worn, you should head to a road where you can hit at least 60mph to ensure it is capable of high-speed driving, and you should make sure that the steering wheel does not vibrate while you drive.

3. Don’t trust everybody’s advice

As an inexperienced car owner, you will experience plenty of people sticking their nose into your car-buying business. The family members and friends of yours who own their own cars will try to give you an insight into car buying — their advice might come with the best of intentions, but they don’t know your situation quite like you do. There will even be car dealers out there who try to push you towards certain buys — the advice they give will be very much designed to sway you towards lining their pockets. This all means that the only person that you can really trust in this situation is yourself, and you’re the only one who can bring about the best results for you.

Your first car will always remain a favorite of yours, even after many years (and cars) have gone by. Be sure you invest in a car that’ll last for many years so that you do not have to worry about further expenses.

Rolling Stone said, “5SOS could be on track to let this new sound carry them into a whole new era of their career.” Billboard noted, “’Youngblood’ is the perfect example of what can happen when you jump of out of box and see what’s happening outside – in this case, swaggering tight-grooved pop with EDM inflections.”

The title song is a smash hit, with cumulative worldwide streams already surpassing 200 million. “Youngblood” has taken the No. 1 slot on both Apple Music’s biggest pop playlist, “Today’s Hits,” and Spotify’s “Today’s Top Hits” playlist. Combined sales of 5SOS’s self-titled debut album and 2015’s Sounds Good Feels Good now exceed five million units worldwide. Sounds Good Feels Good charted at No. 1 in 12 countries, including the U.S., the U.K. and Australia. “She’s Kinda Hot,” the album’s first single, topped the iTunes charts in 44 countries.  5SOS – comprising Luke Hemmings (vocals/guitar), Michael Clifford (vocals/guitar), Calum Hood (vocals/bass) and Ashton Irwin (vocals/drums) – have won an American Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, an iHeartRadio Music Award, five MTV European Music Awards, two ARIA Awards and an MTV Video Music Award.
