Bermuda Triangle releases new song

Today, Bermuda Triangle shared a new original song, Till The End Of Days. Vocalists Brittany Howard, Becca Mancari and Jesse Lafser shine on the tender track, which was written by Lafser. Stream/download Till The End Of Days.

Jesse Lafser says, It’s about friendship, itߣs about love, it’s about the Triangle. This one goes out to my past life brothers.

Bermuda Triangle will headline Colony in Woodstock, NY on July 25 and the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn on July 26. Festival performances include XPoNential in Camden, NJ (July 27) and the Newport Folk Festival in Newport, RI (July 29). To purchase tickets, visit www.BermudaTriangleBand.com.

Earlier this week, the trio performed on World Cafe. The segment is now available for streaming HERE.

Till The End Of Days follows Bermuda Triangle’s earlier releases, Rosey and Suzanne. Rolling Stone observed,The first served as the trio’s debut and marries gentle strings with rich vocal harmonies, while the latter, featuring Howard on lead vocals, incorporates a healthy dose of soul and even a bit of bossa nova, with jazzy minor chords and a propulsive programmed beat. Stream Rosey and Suzanne HERE.

The SF Weekly, reviewing Bermuda Triangle’s January 2018 show in San Francisco, praised the warm, front porch ambiance of the evening and noted, While the songs performed felt polished, they did all carry the energy of an impromptu group singalong ߝ just one where every member of said group is a phenomenally beautiful singerߪThis band is not simply the sum of their songs. They are not only the angelic highs of their voices bound in unisonߪWhat they are in fact are three friends in search of a porch.

The artists have also been busy with their individual endeavors. Becca Mancari’s debut album, Good Woman, was named by Rolling Stone as one of the top Americana/Country albums of 2017. Jesse Lafser’s follow-up to 2015ߣs Raised On the Plains is due out later this year. Alabama ShakesBrittany Howard recently performed at the Jazz Foundation Of America’s A Great Night In Harlem gala and inducted Sister Rosetta Tharpe into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the 2018 ceremony.

Florence + the Machine x Big God

Florence + the Machine unveil a new song, “Big God,” and video today—watch it, choreographed by Akram Khan and Florence and directed by Autumn de Wilde, HERE. “Big God” is the third track to be released from Florence + the Machine’s hugely anticipated fourth studio album High As Hope, out June 29 on Republic Records.

Listen to Big God HERE.

Watch the music video HERE.

Says Florence:

‘Big God’ was written about that feeling when someone has not replied to your text, the modern phenomenon of ‘Ghosting’ which is one of my favourite words but not my favourite feeling. I was describing it to someone and they said to me ‘You need a big god’, as if the need in me were so cavernous, it would take something enormous to fill it. Probably something bigger than a text message.

It’s always been a very physical song. I saw a dance piece in my head as I was writing it, so to co choreograph something with Akram Khan was a huge honour. Autumn de Wilde fully understood what I was trying to do. The power of the desire within the void, left with yourself to rage and wonder and really it is yourself you are raging against. Not the ghost.

Akram Khan adds:

For me, this encounter with Florence and her powerful song somehow navigated itself towards the element—water. But the direction of the dance also became a resistance to all things that wish to oppress, a sort of protest dance and yet a celebratory one towards a new found freedom.

Furthermore, the band have added additional shows to their 23-city North American fall headline tour, including second nights at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl September 26, Washington, D.C.’s The Anthem October 6 and New York’s Barclays Center October 10. Tickets are available to the public Friday, June 29, with pre-sales beginning Monday, June 25. Previously announced dates—on sale now—include Seattle, Portland, Nashville, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago and more. Visit florenceandthemachine.net for more information.

High As Hope was co-produced by Florence and Emile Haynie and features contributions from Kamasi Washington, Sampha, Tobias Jesso JrKelsey Lu, Jamie xx and Thomas Barlett. Watch the A.G. Rojas-directed video for first official single “Hunger” here.

Gorgon City Deliver Video for Latest Single “Go Deep”

Duo To Perform at Chicago’s Mamby On The Beach Festival On June 23

Gorgon City have unveiled the official video for their latest track, “Go Deep,” a rich production which has already received the support of BBC Radio 1′s dance family, including Annie Mac, Pete Tong, and Danny Howard. View “Go Deep” here: Http://po.st/GoDeepV

Directed by London-based duo Melody Maker & Lauren Van Veen, “Go Deep” utilizes the popular filming technique known as “dry for wet” using smoke colored filters and lighting effects to simulate a character being underwater while filming on a dry stage. The technique, which appears in films such as Lord of the Rings, and Guillermo Del Toro‘s The Shape of Water, sees the duo ‘go deep’ to the bottom of the sea, where they perform a passionate choreography routine.

Teaming up with Ghosted and BRIT Award-winning singer/songwriter Kamille on the release, the track follows Gorgon City‘s recent sold out UK and Europe Kingdom tour and has already amassed over 3 million streams since release.

Having established themselves as one of the most in-demand acts around, Gorgon City have enjoyed stellar success over the past 5 years thanks to their unique blend of bass-driven house music and addictive vocals, launching their own club-focused REALM imprint, which housed recent EP Grooves On The Vinyl, “Motorola” and Radio 1 specialist anthem “Primal Call.”

A unique and refreshing collaboration from UK’s music’s most talented and innovative acts, “Go Deep” is set to cause summer shockwaves, and follows on from Gorgon City‘s anthem of the 2017 Ibiza season, “Real Life” with Duke Dumont. “Go Deep” is out now HERE.

Facebook’s Upcoming Influencer Tool

The world’s largest social network just sent a clear signal that the future of advertising on its platform is in influencer marketing.

Facebook’s launch Monday of its Branded Collabs Manager search engine—which will help connect marketers to social media influencers—demonstrates just how vital this form of marketing has become to the social media giant. Soon brands will be able to search the platform for the audience they want to reach, and have the tool point them in the direction of creators that fit the bill.

The Branded Collabs Manager platform can transparently break down a creator’s audience demographics and industry-specific parameters, ranging from geographical areas to interests to home ownership status.

The plans confirm that the industry is continuing its march towards increasingly targeted and individualized advertising—with ad revenues migrating from mass media to digitally programmatic to influencer marketing. It also signals an increased value placed on ads that are not only highly targeted, but also embedded in content that audiences actually want to engage with.

While the tool is only launching on Facebook at the moment, it’s a first step towards incorporating such tools and metrics from other platforms, most notably Facebook-owned Instagram, which is the social media network of choice for most creators.

The move also signals Facebook’s acknowledgement of the importance of influencer marketing on the future sustainability of the platform itself. After all, if creators believe they can earn more money on other platforms, they would gradually migrate elsewhere, taking their audiences with them.

The Branded Collabs Manager search engine, coupled with Facebook’s recently launched Creator App, demonstrates a clear commitment to the huge potential of creators and the future of influencer marketing. Not only will influencer marketing help the company keep content creators on its platform, but also improve the experience for users by serving them with more engaging ads.

This is an exciting opportunity this presents to the community of creators and marketing partners. Facebook’s new tool will significantly improve the discovery process, making it easier for brands to find creators that meet their needs and fit their brand messaging. At the same time, their push towards more influencer marketing on the platform will only increase the value of the relationships brands have with individual creators, and the collaborations that result.

Unlike traditional ad targeting, finding the right audience and the right avenue to engage them is only one part of the equation. The next vital step is building a relationship that can result in strong, mutually beneficial content partnerships between creators and marketing partners.

Less than five years ago, content marketing was considered by many to be a niche industry. With the world’s largest social media platform jumping in on it, it’s hard to deny that influencer marketing has gone mainstream.
